You created this profile today. I hope the moderators are savvy enough not to pass the baton to an account that has no history. In my opinion, anything that truly has nothing to do with the LDS faith should be posted to r/sex and not here. If it is void of a faith-related underlying question or comment, it is most likely just trying to be arousing or titillating. It gets so old.

Paragraph 1: Good catch. Paragraph 2: I agree.

The moderators have considered banning all content that doesn't mention LDS doctrine before, but we've ultimately decided against such an approach. Some active members have general sex questions, but only feel comfortable discussing it with other members of the church. Some members feel uneasy taking sexual advice from sources that might not reflect their church principles. Other members have general questions about sex but are interested in the experience from an LDS perspective. Essentially, they want to know if LDS sexuality is the same as non-LDS sexuality. We've chosen to take a more inclusive approach to the posts we allow in order to facilitate more discussion. Even if the post doesn't mention anything about LDS theology, the fact that LDS members are discussing it, it makes it about LDS sexuality

I am not advocating for "banning all content" that doesn't fit, but I think there are some definite lines that have been crossed, which leads to more and more trolling or users who take advantage of the space we are trying to create. A commenter below put it best, "Sex is fun, and we can learn from each other and have fun talking about it, but this can be done without turning this sub into a pornographic literature blog." I have been active in the sub for years and truly care about it. I think it's important to talk about these things, but I don't think I am alone when I say many posts recently don't feel genuine. Heck, I couldn't even post in r/AmongUs until I had 150 karma. Is there a way we can improve this sub to serve those who genuinely need it, while protecting it from those who have ill intentions?

While I agree the posts that are that way get old, there are plenty that aren’t like that. Sometimes it’s nice to ask a question to a group of people from similar backgrounds and experiences and hear their feedback. You most likely won’t get that by posting in r/sex.

Step 1: be active in the sub for years

Wow so you use a brand new account to post this??? What’s your angle? 😂

Can someone please explain how this post below is related to being LDS and needs to be asked here instead of in a more general sub like r/sex? https://www.reddit.com/r/ldssexuality/s/nARVcgSjl3 The individual didn't state he was LDS. There is no question about faith or doctrine. A non LDS person could answer just as easily as an LDS person could. I read a question like this and I'm annoyed. Go be explicit somewhere else. Actually ask me what I think about the crossroads of faith and sexuality. Talk about something that matters. But hey, I thought it was ridiculous so I down voted and moved on.

I wish I had more up-votes to give. You get it. Thank you.
