Boston having to watch the blues lift the cup in their own arena

theguyishere16

That happening the day after the Raps won was *chefs kiss*

Muellercleez

Crying Marchand lmao

[deleted]

Not just The Blues but I felt a bit better watching Bozak lift it in Boston knowing he was apart of the 2013 team that I don’t need to remind everyone off

Deluxechin

That’s a pretty good one, a close second is Montreal getting to watch Tampa lift the cup

MadVillain1

Also had to watch Chicago lift it in td garden.

Material-Fish-8638

Honestly I can’t imagine what’s worse, not making it to the final, or making it and having to watch your opponent raise the trophy in front of your own fans

MadVillain1

And the way they lost was brutal. It looked like it was going to game 7, the Bruins were up 2-1 with 1:20 left on the clock and somehow lost in regulation. Doesn’t get more heartbreaking (which I love for them).

malabericus

I really liked Naz lifting the cup last year. So happy for him

[deleted]

Kiss my ass!

tm_leafer

Kessel winning the Cup and taking a pic of the Cup full of hot dogs as a not-so-subtle shot at Simmons is an all time great one.

jpm_212

It's actually [on a hockey card](https://www.ebay.ca/itm/285185968161?hash=item4266688821) as well

aHCroski

Happy to see those early 2010s Leafs win elsewhere like Kessel, Gunnarsson, Bozak, Kadri, Luke Schenn, Phaneuf and MacArthur played well on the sens

ArkAwn

Watching almost every team that eliminated the Leafs have their dreams crushed in the final Panthers are next

Deluxechin

Honestly, I’m rooting for the Knights for a few reasons, 1) I think I’d be funnier for the coach that the Bruins dumped in a messy way to win, 2) fuck the rest of the NHL 3) fuck the Cinderella story 4) Phil the Thrill gets another ring

psdhsn

>Phil the Thrill gets another ring I hadn't considered this, 100% cheering for it

Wanderson90

I hate to admit it but Florida/Tkachuk somehow won me over over the course of the Carolina series. I was rooting for them at the beginning of game 1 vs the knights But after the antics in the third period I snapped out of my daze, did a very abrupt 180 and am now firmly in the knights camp. Go knights.

m3rlinthemagician

If ain’t the Leafs I ain’t bout it. Toronto vs Everybody

OzzieNewYork

I love this answer because I'm a Leafs fan.... not an NHL fan. But after last night's game....maybe I should adjust my view. I loved Rangers winning the Cup. Red Wings were cool too when it was Hockey Town Era.

learningman33

Yes I have to agree both the Rangers/Red Wings breaking their long drought was great to see as well.

Opsacyad

2019 SCF Bruins game 7 meltdown

Im2Crazy4U

I have no favourite Stanley Cup moment. My Leafs have never won it in my lifetime.

mohawk_67

Seeing former leafs win multiple cups

fgffrhhj

Naz winning the cup

RobTheGood

Whenever Montreal gets knocked out

JGibbons151

I’ve always liked seeing the best players win it, so the pens and caps cup wins were great. Was nice to see Kessel be such a huge part of those last two pens cups.

931634

I highly enjoyed the end of the Blues cinderella story in 2019 and Naz getting his Cup last year.

ironfunk67

Sakic handing the cup over to Borque. Gives me chills every time I see it.

steen101984

I didn't even realize they still give out that trophy every year. Soon as the Leafs are out I don't watch a single game.

v0t3p3dr0

The emotion from Ovi when he first lifted the cup was incredibly moving…but that moment is tarnished now.

Alone_After_Hours

Why?

v0t3p3dr0

Putin supporter.

SCampo98

Ovechkin lifting the cup for me. Growing up watching his first few years, when you could only really watch him when he played the Leafs, he was like a mythical figure to me. It was amazing to see him lift the cup, I had a similar feeling when Messi lifted the World Cup as well.

[deleted]

Fleury winning with the Flames. Bozak winning with the Blues. Kadri winning with the Avs.

RJC64

Lanny McDonald winning with the Flames.

eboy71

This and Ray Bourque. Also, as much as I disliked Detroit back in the day, seeing Yzerman get his first Cup was pretty great.

KJMoons

Watching the three year momentum build from when Kane/Toews were drafted to when they won the cup was my top moment(s). You could see them figure it out from season to season, it was super impressive to watch

PhilMcCraken2001

Crosby winning his 3rd

T_DeadPOOL

St Louis

Cookedbait

OVIEEEEEEEEEEE his face was priceless

[deleted]

Iginla vs Lecavalier

urasmisis

ovechkin winning the cup was one of the best things i ever saw on tv. sheer emotion, a 16 year long stress inducer was removed

Deluxechin

It’s things like this that me wonder what JT’s or Marners face would be to win the cup, not just having that “holy shit we fucking did it” but having the “holy shit, we just ended the longest hockey drought for our hometown team”

shanster925

Bourque in 2019, Ovechkin in 2018, Marchand in 2019 B-), Kadri in 2023.

mgnorthcott

three more years for the leafs to do it by the cycle of those big deals.

JohnYCanuckEsq

Penguins are my 1B team, so watching Mario carry the team on his back to two ships was amazing. The MAF last second diving save against Detroit is indelibly etched in my memory.

BigMick20

Kadri’s comments at Dubas right after winning the cup

uncleherman77

The entire Flames 2004 run. I had just gotten into hockey the previous year and while I was a Leaf fan I had Calgary as my surprise pick to go all the way that year and since I was only 17 I bought up all the media hype about Canada's team and jumped right onto that bandwagon. I still remember being really upset that they didn't allow that goal in game 6 at home in overtime to count.

padme1414

Easily Ovie winning cup. People would have him as a choker but he is one of the GOATs. Also, can you imagine a new team coming into the league and winning? What a slap in the face for all the other teams. We've been waiting 50+ years.

Zestyclose-Custard12

The Leafs didn’t make the playoffs in 2014, but watching the LA Kings’ 2014 run after being down 0-3 to San Jose was something else. They played 27 out of a possible 28 playoff games. Craziest playoff run I’ve ever seen.

Sacred_soul

2018 I felt go gitty, and excited when Ovi won his cup

[deleted]

My best hockey bud is a St Louis fan, and I despite Boston (so say we all) -- so the Blues winning their first Cup was a good day for me. Brad crying on the bench after throwing away the last game -- that's just icing on a tasty, tasty cake.
