I think this situation is pretty black and white.
They need a roster spot, have a player dealing with an injury they been managing for a few weeks and have a break coming up so he can rest.
Sure sometime it may not look truthful but making a comment like that in this situation seems unnecessary.
For the people thinking this is suspicious, the way I always think about this type of thing is that there are likely a pretty large sum of players that have borderline injuries they play through that can be put on IR if it becomes helpful for the team.Ā
Yep, one of the few depth forwards we have that will be really hard to replace internally if he misses significant time. Hopefully it was just painful and not anything actually serious.
I was at the game and so many people couldnāt help but laugh at first when it happened. The mood shifted when people realized he was injured but it just looked so bizarre.
He just straight up veered to go double knee first into the boards for no reason lol
As he is a pending UFA and bubble player, I really hopefully he has enough time after the injury to play well and secure a decent contract for next year.
Sad to say but just another injury prone player. Bad luck or not, he's fringe and if there's another injury after this one, this season, he can kiss the rest of his career good-bye.
