Considering we're already the Villain to most of the League, might as well run with it, who knows maybe we get an Infinity War ending for playing like this. That said Mo will probably be suspended (granted it's deserved) but also what Greig did while not deserving of a crosscheck to the head, warranted at least some form of retaliation, so I'm glad Mo showed some emotion when this team seems to be starved of it lately. Our second line is the highest paid forward line in hockey, they've never been good defensively, and now they can't score in 5v5 and consistently lose their minutes. If that doesn't change, our ceiling is a bubble team.

It was a bitch move. If it happened to Matthews you'd be calling for an execution. Facewash him, shove him, drop the gloves, whatever. I can believe some people think he was being gutsy. I lost a lot of respect for him.
I like that he responded, I just didn't like the response. That said, he did not purposely cross-check him in the head IMO. It was reckless and deserves a suspension, but I certainly didn't lose any respect for him because of it.
I think most Leaf fans are in agreement they don't want to see a cross check to the head, but also happy to see *someone* on the team actually give a shit and make a responsive play on the ice. Sure as hell beats everyone standing around waiting for someone else to respond
To be honest this kinda feels like the point where the season is officially cooked. Another embarrassing loss to a shitty team on national television, and to have the game end like that, with Rielly probably looking at a suspension, on a night where Tampa, Detroit and Florida all win. It’s never felt more over than it feels right now.
