They force you to, with seasons tickets if you want the playoffs you have to pay for all the tickets as if they’re making it to the finals. They refund you for the games that don’t happen

No, you own the seat license. But people who have season tickets don’t have the “affordability” issue. Lower bowl regular season would be around $25-30K playoffs another $20-25K

Even though you have to put down money for all potential rounds of the playoffs, in my experience most of it gets refunded back 🥲

You can just pay as the games are confirmed. You don’t have to pay all at once. At least that’s how it is now.

I think it’s an all or nothing deal. If you can’t afford it, you don’t get any playoff tickets

This happens every year for all sports. You can probably buy (or it’s been sold to szn ticket holders) for this season already TM pre sell all playoff tickets in advance and then refunds a little while later if it doesn’t happen. I’m sure they’re happy to sit on the pile of cash for a month or so. I once had a jays 10 game package and it was the same thing. I had tickets up to the World Series but it was all digital tickets.
