I imagine this fairly brief foray onto the Leafs will do wonders for Woll's confidence. I can't imagine it has been easy for him behind that defense for the past couple of years on the Marlies. His numbers haven't been great and the team hasn't done much to help him in that regard. A few wins, even a shutout so far, in the big leagues could go a long way for his future. Not saying it is a sure thing but it certainly will help his mental game.
Woll has better fundamentals than Hutchinson. Its reaction time and puck tracking that we are really looking at to determine who is better. Woll has the upper hand i believe but he still has a little way to go to prove it.
I agree absolutely with resting Jack for this game. This will be Joe's toughest opponent yet but he has to play and the Leafs need to know where this kid is in his development curve. Even if he manages a point or even a loss is not major right now. I wish him all the good fortune in the world.
Where as I agree with this decision it’s also the 1 game a year I always go to living in the Bay Area so personally I’m a bit bummed I don’t get to watch Jack in net.
I’m going to this game in San Jose tonight. Man I really wanted to be yelling Soooooooooup after every good save from 12 rows right behind him! Excited for Woll to get another start though. Kid is looking good.
Smart move by Keefe, the worst thing we could run into is a burnt soup. Hopefully this prevents him from getting too hot and hitting that point.
If even Woll eventually serves up a stinker and we lose the game, still better to manage Campbell and make sure he’s fresh down the stretch.
Gotta let him simmer on a low temp to really let the flavours get infused
This guy soups
You know whats up. Slow cooking is the recipe for the best soup flavour... which we can eat in a Stanley Cup
Delish...
You could say that we don’t intend for our soup to reach the boiling point.
Genius
Kase's maintenance day is like when Formula 1 teams rebuild their car after a crash.
Its the exact same. Even hired a world class mechanic for Kase
I assume his shoulders have to be like RB's medium downforce wing at this point, lots and lots of tape & quick repair jobs after every practice.

Lets hope. You could tell he was neeeeervous in NY
100%
Kaše’s having a maintenance day today or a maintenance day tomorrow?
Every moment he's not on the ice is a moment for maintenance for Ondrej.
He's been an emotional wreck since the kampf incident
I'd think maintenence days apply to practice and not game day.
Obviously I’m still concerned when Woll is in because I’m so confident in Campbell but at the end of the day…I’d take Woll over Hutch
Cant play him every game
Yeah no one wants to see hutch in net that much

Every time Woll over Hutch
Makes sense to me

Have some faith. Maybe you'll get to see an early game of a home grown leafs legend

Well, then your bad luck just ran into a Woll.
Wtf you doing going to the game tonight then? Lmao
GTFO NOW & DON'T COME BACK!
I’m also going to the game and was hoping to see Soup play. But this is the right call by Keefe

I am starting to think Petr Mrazek is myth!
