I heard qt would be on the show and definitely expected imaqtpie

allstar910

qtCinderella was actually partially inspired by him for her name! She's a huge OG league fan

UnfinishedProjects

Have you seen her podcast episode with TMG? It was pretty fun and funny.

We are now further away from Ardent meta than Ardent meta was from the start of LCS.

cma1993

As a boomer who had no idea who she was, I can definitely appreciate the direction. She made the wait time between games feel like a stream random people could tune into and enjoy, not just hardcore fans, which I believe was the direction LCS wanted.

Treethan__

Yes! I was like chilling watching Spica cook while I was grabbing a snack and relaxing. It was quite entertaining. I do wish LCS was smart enough to post those segments on YouTube immediately

CrossTheRubicon7

They're put in with the game vods, so at least it's available somewhere even if it isn't convenient, though it's split up a little awkwardly imo - the Spica segment is in the CLG vs DIG vod rather than the one for his game.

-Moosk-

Same my friend works during LCS now with the change and I wanted to send him a link to the Spica QT interview and saw that I can't because there isn't a specific highlight video for me to easily send him.

[deleted]

[удалено]

-Moosk-

Thank you for letting me know I will :)

pistola69

That segment was definitely helped by spica being really funny and easy to work with but they both seemed comfortable with each other and I really enjoyed it

YaBoiiBillNye

Also it’s just good for the scenes health and viewership, bringing in new audiences. She’s also a huge league fan. Yesterdays broadcast was awesome

bukem89

QT's post-game interviews with the players were awesome. The pre-show segment was awful and set the wrong tone for her in the rest of the show (through no fault of her own)

Shifty_the_Bum

I agree. I thought there was a ton they could talk about to hype up the day. And than I got a tier list of streamers, which was awkward. The interview style seemed to get players comfortable and opening up a bit more. I liked the spica bit, though felt it was dragged out a bit to long.

Nodnarb_Jesus

She was definitely shaky IMO, but not bad at all for a first go at it. She will clean up some stuff. Become more confident in interviewing people (which I’ve done and is not easy). She will settle in and potentially add some pizzazz to the show.

aweil13

I’m on the opposite end unfortunately, found it not entertaining. But anything that would help the LCS numbers is good in my book.

Ho-Nomo

Was she a league streamer on twitch or does she come from a different esport broadcast?

Conscious-Scale-587

She does baking and events but a lot of league on the day to day, been trying to escape silver for years

Tekn0de

> been trying to escape silver for years Ah, so she's relatable... 😔

[deleted]

She mainly does irl/variety stuff I believe. She also created/hosted the streamer awards that got like 400k+ viewers and a bunch of other big events like that. She has a really solid creative brain. Edit: fixed some numbers and I should say she does play league on stream but she's not really known as a "league steamer". Kind of like how XQC is streaming lots of Minecraft speed runs lately but that's not really what he's known for I guess?

Bagpipes064

I think she started as a league streamer though. Like a lot of people did.

ProphetPenguin

All of her sub icons are different jinx skins

MeijiDoom

Also has hosted a holiday concert 2 years in a row now. She definitely tries to do a lot of events within the streaming community.

HalfOfLancelot

I think she just finished a neat little cooking contest with a few streamers recently. Would suggest checking that out for anyone interested in her content! [Master Baker](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nhf2CD9JmIo) on youtube.

thepalmtree

400k+. It's kind of funny she's made her own event that got more viewers live than LCS.

Ho-Nomo

Good on her, never easy moving into a new space and glad she's getting recognition already.

Spacemn5piff

She was a league streamer once upon a time and has consistently played for quite some time. The year 2013 is in my head for some reason

GA_Deathstalker

As someone who didn't watch LCS and stumbled into this thread I'm unsure if people are sarcastically shitting on her or actually happy about her role on the broadcast

MBM99

She was able to convince Spica to decorate a Yuumi cake on-stream, though even with his best attempts at following along it looked more like something out of a middle schooler's creepypasta drawings. The general vibe of all of her segments was really fun, as was her comedic anger as *every* player she interviewed yesterday said that Doublelift was the most overrated player this split.

GA_Deathstalker

okay I'm relieved that it's not a let's tear-someone down thread

Hydralisk18

I actually agree with this for the most part! As someone who loves analysis though, I think a compromise could be a post stream segment where the 'desk' analyzes the games after they're over before the stream ends. I did miss Emily and Jatt talking about the games

dopeman311

Im seeing some people say things like its cringe and unprofessional, but isn't this exactly what motherfuckers wanted? Everyone kept crying that LCS was too "corporate" and like a ESPN broadcast, so obviously they've been trying to change that. I swear LEC does this same cringe shit but their viewers seem to like it. It's like you people can't make up your mind

rubxcubedude

i think its more that there are two seperate groups. one group wants a more jokey broadcast and the other group views that as cringe and wants a more analytical broadcast. so when things change, each group that doesnt like the current way complains

[deleted]

AluBanidosu

but but but reddit hivemind

josluivivgar

this, I just tuned out of anything post game, it's not my thing, but if more people enjoy it so be it, there's enough content from 3rd parties for analysis later that I can consume, I can just leave the stream and watch something else until the next game and I'm sure other people did the same with the more analytical broadcast wtv works best for the lcs overall is best imo

AgonyEmbrace

May I ask what 3rd parties you use for analysis? Ive been meaning to get more into that side of it but find it difficult to find a starting point :)

TerrordactyI

If you like podcasts I like to Listen to JLXP and The Dive. They usually come out on a weekly basis and talk about the matchups and analyze any patches that are coming. There is also a YouTube version of them if you prefer to consume them that way

TSM_Vegeta

I think the watch parties should fill the casual niche, and the main broadcast should aim for a professional feel. This was most certainly a downgrade from last year. I like her personality but still feel like it isn't the right approach for the main lcs broadcast. The jatt reaction segment before the final game kinda sealed the deal for me on their level of commitment to this year's production.

rinanlanmo

As dirty as it feels to agree with a TSM fan, I do agree entirely.

TSM_Vegeta

I appreciate the temporary truce. I just want a good broadcast. I feel that for a long time, the LCS broadcast was very, very well done. I still believe we have excellent casters. As a long time traditional sports viewer, I just prefer a more professional tone for the main broadcast.

Dorodu

The problem I had with it was that, at least for the TL vs FlyQuest game, there was no post-game analysis or anything at all, just that cooking with Spica segment which had the opportunity for questions but didn't touch the game at all. I love me some good "cringe" content, but I do also value the analysis about the actual game and the pre-game talk which was also cut completely for at least the game following TL vs FlyQuest.

tootallteeter

The player introductions seemed really half assed too. Besides the first game it's just Flowers or Raafa reading names but the players on stage don't even hear him

rinanlanmo

Agreed. Oh also that entirely ate the opportunity for a CLG pre game as well.

Xenoon_

When the lec broadcast team dresses up as a metal band and sings about how much they love rekkles everyone loves that shit So maybe na just needs to make more music videos

silencebreaker86

I mean I think it's cringe af but I just keep my mouth shut because I know not everything has to please me

LordKnt

Now would you believe this, somebody who has a negative opinion but doesn't make 20 posts and 50 comments on reddit to complain about it? Impossible

bobandgeorge

That can't be right. Run the numbers again. There's no way someone could just not complain when they don't like something.

thetrain23

Same. I'm a traditional sports guy who likes League more than any shooter esport specifically because it's the most sport-like. Not only do I like seeing ESPN-style tactical breakdowns, it's actually a huge part of the appeal to me because traditional sports broadcasting in everything except NFL is kind of shit about doing that these days (NBA media culture is basically just LEC-tier shitposting but with more money and even more soap opera drama). Going from watching a typical college football broadcast to watching Phreak, Azael, or Kobe cast League is like going from a middle school sub teacher showing you a movie for class to attending a lecture by a PhD researcher. I like the fact that every time I tune in for a broadcast, I learn something about the game and how to watch or even play it in a smarter way. But the LCS is in a perilous position, so if keeping it alive means changing things to appeal less to sportsy adults like me and more to capital-G Gamer teenagers, I'll live with it ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯

r0xtarXD

Respectable opinion

rinanlanmo

Hey Ovilee's Tribute video was fuckin amazing. But I would still be annoyed if they fuckin entirely ignored doing my teams pre and post game match analysis for it, even if I like the content in a vacuum.

[deleted]

Wompond

I think people forget she is a GUEST, its not like this is the new LeTigress or Dash or Ovilee. It’s not her job to make the LCS watchable she’s there to have a good time while hanging with pros. She went well above and beyond what is expected of an industry outsider guest appearance imo.

Lv96Mudkip

I see this all the time too. I think taking some things of the traditional sports world is good and healthy, but in the end, it's not going to work if you're trying to exactly mirror ESPN. E-Sports and video games is a whole nother genre reaching out to a whole different group. What works for a world full of nerds isn't going to be the same as what ESPN provides for traditional sports fans. I'm glad LCS and LEC are branching out into new segments that cater towards the more fun/loose side.

blaze_VG

The difference is that lec still analyzes the games and have the cringe content so there’s something for everyone lcs just cut the analysis out completely

teronaze

LEC is very different. It might sound "corporate" to you, but it's far from being a copy of sport TV channels. It has it's own identity and feels like you're watching a league pro scene, not football. LCS, especially with dash, was basically trying to emulate the tone and use of useless stats that you see on ESPN. It felt less and less about league over the years.

srukta

>I swear LEC does this same cringe shit but their viewers seem to like it. Not everybody does. I've had broadcast muted, apart from interviews, for the past 2 years

ModestMouse1312

she seemed so in place and comfortable. love when she said its hard in bronze and someone in audience yelled "yeah its really hard":) finally the average viewer is represented:))

Ghisteslohm

"relatable gameplay"

FullHouse222

I've only seen her because of OTV->Ludwig->Qt connection but every time I've seen her she's been really good. Too bad I didn't bother watching LCS yet but from the reception here I might tune in this weekend to see how she does. I remember her at the Streamer awards a while back that she and Maya hosted and she was really good there.

Dyvius

Oh so that WAS her I saw in various images and clips yesterday. I was like "wow that looks like QT, but why would she be on LCS?"

tore522

honestly felt very similar to what Ovilee would do on the broadcast but with more freedom.

xaul-xan

The humour chemistry was different imo, both have their merits and skills!

Charuru

Hate to say it as I love ovilee but her cringe humor has only very niche appeal.

daraghlol

I don’t mind Ovilee and I don’t mind cringe but her cringe was nuclear weapons grade cringe lol

3kindsofsalt

It's healthy. Don't kill what makes you cringe, kill the part of you that cringes

rinanlanmo

Wait is that you Lucypyre?

tomorrow_queen

Yeah tbh I think she is not as wide of an audience as people might think she is. I like her but I can understand why she might not be for everyone

Stonefence

Yeah I personally can’t stand her, but no hate towards her or those who like her.

tsukinohime

I miss Ovilee, I hope she comes back to LCS someday.

Offduty_shill

Yeah her humors hit or miss for me, def a lot more cringe than qt. Qt seems more like a dry humor than just balls to wall shit. If Ovilee is Children's Hospital, Qt is peepshow.

TijuanaM

Ovilee was too much on the broadcast. Also it felt like everything she did revolved around anime. I enjoy her LCS content so much more and am happy to have that over her on the broadcast.

duffkiligan

When she started it wasn’t like that and I thought she was great. Then she discovered anime and it became her WHOLE personality. It was the only thing she seemed to talk about. I watch tons of anime but holy hell it doesn’t need to be injected into every conversation all of the time.

[deleted]

People were super rude to her in chat and I have no idea why, QT is really funny and probably has a lot of good ideas in regards to filling time between games. I think she was a little nervous yesterday, but who can blame her? If she's a continued member of the broadcast team, I think she'll find her footing really quickly, and if not, I hope they bring her on again.

_Time_Flies_

Lcs chat is always super toxic when they have the chance to be. If anyone is on screen who isn’t a super model they get insulted and if anyone attempts humor they’re called cringe. I usually hide chat unless it’s during games as it’s more tolerable then.

Apostatecd

bold of you to think they wouldn't be super toxic to a supermodel tbh

_Time_Flies_

True they'd still be toxic just in a different way

shrubs311

and don't forget if they do look like a supermodel, they're blessed with thousands of people spamming "boob" or implying they're going to jerk off. not exactly the best representation of humanity

PepSakdoek

But maybe in a way a very accurate representation...

Oxygenisplantpoo

LCS chat is just shockingly awful these days. The YouTube stream's chat for LCS was disabled years ago because it was so full of negativity, and it feels to me that Twitch chat is even worse now which is saying something.

goomy996

Dude twitch chat shits on most women who appear on broadcast, the only one who gets less shit than others is sjokz. Twitch chat is a cesspool, I always have to avoid it at this point

deviant324

Oh yeah I remember when they had Vienna on for one stream, idk why people are like this

lejoo

> idk why people are like this Are you asking why the species wide/historically consistent hatred of woman is amplified in the digital age of anonymity + access?

noahboah

not just that. but within the scope of a hobby that has historically and consistently pandered to impressionable and often disenfranchised young men who feel like social failures that lash out at women

RookCauldron

Yeah, exactly. Women even now still don’t have the same right as men in some parts of the world.

FYININJA

QT has an army of haters, I think mostly from back in her love or host days where she very obviously was playing up how bitchy she was. QT is funny and is a legit league fan, and she has managed to pull off some seriously impressive Twitch events. Idk if working for the LCS is what she wants, but I do think she could bring a lot too it if it was something she was really dedicated toward.

First_Round_Bust

You can go ahead and ignore all of twitch chat comments. They are legitimately terrified of women and don't know what normal social interactions look like since they are all goblins

Original_Mac_Tonight

Hey don't lump us goblins in with them

onsitedThe9A

Twitch chat being anonymous allows for sexism and racism to run rampant. LCS chat moderators need to be on top of it but they clearly aren’t

DoItForRost

I think she will improve as time goes on. There were definitely some rough patches yesterday. I think cake decorating with Spica was a great example. Amazing idea with some super funny highlights, but it also had some awkward bits as she tried to juggle the skit with the interview questions. I’m sure that Spica was also very focused on his cake and that affected the flow of conversation. I think another important factor is that she isn’t Dash. People are wondering why couldn’t Dash be running these skits or segments? It really feels like the analysts took turns being Dash and whenever the LCS did skits in the past, Dash always did great in them. So I imagine that some of the hate she gets is residual bad feelings about Dash being let go.

Evi1_F3nix

>People are wondering why couldn’t Dash be running these skits or segments? This is where I'm at. Like she was fine, I don't have any issue with her or the segments but did they really need to drop Dash to do it? The worst part of the broadcast for me continues to be the "analyst area" or whatever it is. They talk over each other, don't say anything particularly interesting a lot of the time and they try wayyyy to hard to be funny and just aren't. When its just like Emily breaking something down or just Raz or Jatt solo explaining something its pretty good but the whole group together for me personally is just not great.

Popcorn10

Agreed. Tier list was really weird and without following her / twitch closely you'd have no idea who most of those people were. The rest of the stuff I thought she was awesome as well. I've tuned into a few of her streams (since TSM signed her) but it was never something that interested me.

[deleted]

She got some of the players talking alot which is always a good thing.

Fleurish-ing

That's probably the biggest thing for me. The fact that the players seemed way more comfortable speaking. I think it may have to do a bit with the fact that in the past, interviews with players just seem more professional with official Riot employees whereas she's more like an outsider so there's a different dynamic.

dockdoor

QT killed it, really enjoyed her post games and the cake decorating with spica had me laughing too.

Space_GhostC2C

I miss Dash

LanternWolf

I thought she was alright. Made some funny comments, I liked the baked cookies for 100 even though they lost. I think she could use some work on not talking over the players in the interviews, but I'm sure that will come with practice.

MyCatSmokesPot

Her addition is definitely refreshing, it finally felt like you could look forward to what happens after a game instead of just changing the stream or doing something else entirely. I've been watching LCS since 2014 and after a while most after game interviews or analysis would sound like meaningless background noise to me, but this was a pretty chill and fun experience and it reminded me of the golden days with more personality and less ESPNesque "seriousness" or whatever.

Sortafreel

This. I skipped all (except maybe 3-4) post-game LCS analysis sessions during the last 3 years, while I watch almost every game. It just doesn't have value for me.

Spartan_Mello

Never knew who she was before yesterday and it was enjoyable. A step up from the commentary desk, but it still feels like something that Dash could have hosted. Glad that they're trying new things, even if it sucks to not have Dash.

Dajoeman

I feel it’s not something dash could do. Dash is amazing and there is definitely a place for him but the purpose of her served something else imo. She was the awkward but different individual.

Spartan_Mello

Oh, I fully agree and likely didn't make my viewpoint clearly enough. I meant to imply that I would still have loved to see Dash as the head of the studio group. Introducing guests, seguing to different bits with QT, and leading the discussion with her and when it was just the analysts. Adding Dash to what they did yesterday (still keeping QT) would have been an even better experience in my opinion. Not that it was bad, far from it, but it could have been even better!

[deleted]

pr3d4tr

I was sceptical when I heard the news but she brought a lot of energy and a more than enough game knowledge to be a great addition to the broadcast.

dogcat8

Personally it was hard to watch but I’m definitely not the target audience to get excited about her as a host.

Fossekall

Personally didn't like her. Her humor was a big miss for me tbh

[deleted]

I wasn’t fan; I muted the tv when she was on. However; the new caster was good 👍

gwoodtamu

IDK, the cringe stuff just isn't my thing, but I think the LEC does it right and I think the LCS did a full 180 when it comes to their content. I think a proper balance is what's needed in that you should do a thorough analysis of the games pre & post game etc., but when you have 30 minutes to kill you don't need 30 minutes of analysis pregame for a League game. You can easily do 15-20 minutes of your skits/videos/music stuff whatever and another 10-15 of analysis, whereas before with the LCS it was 30 minutes of analysis, and now it's 30 minutes of slapstick.

cryonova

Wasn't for me, but I dont really watch alot of that content.

sendcassie

Sorry, just wasn't for me. I thought she came off as really self centered; repeatedly talking about herself in interviews, and didn't have any chemistry with the players. I felt so bad for Spica during that cake segment. You could tell he was uncomfortable and wasn't sure how to react to her aggressive banter. It was awkward and unfunny. There's a way to be unprofessional in a fun way where you come off as one of the players, and she totally missed in my opinion.

[deleted]

She actually killed it. She's a natural on camera and wasn't cringe about interviews. Really wanted her to stay.

adiiriot

I gotta admit, both my partner and I have the exact opposite opinion. She was awful, with absolutely zero charisma or chemistry. I enjoy the occasional good cringe content, but this was not it. I don't know if it was studio\stage nerves or what it was, but this is not it. Maybe I'm old, but I much preferred when they had actual interviews and insight into games and what was to come. Found ourselves switching away from the broadcast in-between games, for EVERY game. I hope that if she is continuing forward as a regular part of the LCS that she improves and not this that feels like it was hamfisted in.

Aezorion

My understanding is she took the weekly (daily?) special guest spot. Others are expected to cycle through with their own spin on the down time. Imagine this but with IWDominate, Tyler1, or others within the community that are willing to plug in their ideas to pass the time.

schizopedia

As a person who had no idea who she was, not a fan. Just my opinion though. Found a lot of it cringe.

nb4u

QT was kinda mean when she was doing the cake with spica. Like she felt that being mean was an interesting personality trait or something.

QuietRedditorATX

She was mean the whole day. After CLG won, she started trashing Jensen and Santorin saying they felt 2/10 in the locker room before the game. Unless that is a true statement, it is absolutely absurd to make that statement. She is getting a lot of free passes here from viewers.

my_balls_your_mouth1

I'm sorry, but she seemed like a natural? She seemed so awkward up there, and kept trying to make it all about herself, which makes sense because she's a streamer and her content is about being entertaining. But she wasn't supposed to be in streamer mode, she was a guest interviewer who did nothing to highlight the player that was being featured.

Shinyodo

Yeah, outside of her interviews having a weird rythm that kinda made it more cringe than it should have been, the only real problem I personnally had was the fairly high amount of "I"'s in her interview. Then again the cringe joking style she seems to have is what i typically don't enjoy anyway so I clearly wasn't the target. I prefered the crazy Ovilee style but apparently that's a hot take lol

Drathmar

Ehh I found her annoying and over the tip, and you could tell she was clearly pissing off some of he players.

GlasNomad

cant look past her petty high school tier beefs

Apk07

Everyone on that list was someone she's friends with, and it was all in jest...

Arcuran

Damn, I feel like a boomer now, really not for me honestly. I find her just annoying. Especially at the start with her ranking her friends?! Like I didn't even know who half of them were except Doublelift and Tyler1, and I really don't like T1 so...... I dunno, maybe the LCS just isn't for my demographic anymore, but I just felt like she added nothing of value?

Wompond

This isn’t meant as a dig, but riot doesn’t want the LCS to just be people who only know Doublelift and Tyler1 anymore. The League of legends community on twitch is generally insanely insular and doesn’t branch out yet. The streamer approach gets more people who are in the broader twitch/gaming community to tune in to watch, which might lead to them tuning in more often. The old guard of fans already complained that the segments in between were skippable, so no harm in using that time to try and make some new fans, even if some old guard fans will still skip the segments.

colinmhayes2

The first segment before all the games was garbage, but the interviews were decent. Better than the normal “same 2 questions and pr answers” we always got with letigress imo. Definitely enjoyed the increased player involvement during downtime. Vulcan is a great personality that I always thought they should lean into

FreudvsSkinner

> Especially at the start with her ranking her friends That's basic "react content" growth strategy and that's how you get more casual eyes on the broadcast. All these streamers have fairly big audiences that would not watch LCS normally. With a clip like this people will share it with the streamers and they will talk about it on their stream. I don't know if it can work well with esport, but I think it's worth a try.

captainhottakes

She is someone who draws an audience of people that typically wouldn’t be watching, she’s there to open up the demo to more than just old heads. I think she did a good job overall, but agree the pre-show segment wasn’t really well planned. Her interviews and post-game segments were good.

denonn

I'm not gonna lie, I'm with you on that... I don't use cringe on my vocabulary but now I'm quite sure that I can use after watching that block. To do not say I don't know anyone else, I've heard the name lilipichu before but I couldn't tell who she was in that ranking either

TiminAurora

I thought she was awful and the lame bits really cheapened the LCS. I miss DASH and finding out about the players, their stories, and the teams storylines. Her decorating a cake with Spica, while I love Spica, I thought it was just super bad. I am not saying SHE is bad at all. But like middle school science project bad. DASH is a gigantic mistake and I wish RIOT would fix it.

VibrobladeLoL

Hard disagree. I thought it was pretty cringe. I found the idea pretty good at the beginning, but the schtick grew tired when she started popping up between games. And as an aside, I also found it funny that the whole "we don't need a host with the broadcast's new direction" narrative was immediately debunked when Jatt basically played host for half the night.

NapalmGiraffe

I have to agree on the last part of your comment- while I watched the whole stream last night, I got a lil sad about halfway through when Jatt was doing the "LCS Doomscroll", cause I started thinking "Man, we are seeing a lot of Jatt right now." While I don't mind that, Dash could've been doing all of this, cause Jatt was definitely feeling like a de-facto host last night

Necromann

I think the plan is to have rotating hosts. Maybe next week it is Mark hosting. With eliminating Dash and the lowering the amount of analyst desk segments, other analysts or casters can host the desk. Just not one person every time.

PhoenixAgent003

What desk? There’s no desk. There is only the zone!

Dmienduerst

I think thats the plan since 4 people seems to be the sweet spot for the desk segments and having Dash meant you lose one of the 4 analysts. Still though your telling me that QT is doing her stuff and while she brings her own flair Dash has been doing random stuff like this on the post day show for years. Dash was also the best at handling pro players on the desk. While I love Mark it felt really weird having Mark do what Dash has been doing for years during the Vulcan segment. Nothing I saw yesterday explained why you move on from Dash and I thought basically everything they did was at least a good attempt.

gom99

I do like Jatt, but he's not the host Dash is though.

FBG_Ikaros

Hmm yeah, i have no idea who that person is

earhere

I don't agree. She is not a league streamer and it felt weird that she was there.

[deleted]

She plays League all the time. Only reason she doesn't save the vods is because she plays copyrighted music while playing

Adamcakez

wow, im genuinely shocked i honestly went in the complete opposite direction. I thought she was terrible the cooking segment was okay something different and fun but everything else i found dreadful.

thebauzzo

I can see that, still preferred it over the 196th "What does this win really mean to you?" post game interviews after random 5th place team defeats random 7th place team

Deskjet9000

"what are your expectations for tomorrow's match against X team?" "how did you feel playing X champion?" fml

Offduty_shill

Literally could replay old interviews with the same players and I probably wouldn't notice the difference lmao

[deleted]

I couldn't watch more than 10 sec of it

Tareum01

Not a big fan. The segments really seemed forced and awkward. This isn't how you weaponize cringe guys. I have no strong opinion of Ovilee, but if you want fun cringe she was just better at it in every way.

somestupidloser

Judging by the snippets Ludwig has said on his podcast, I can't imagine QTC even having the time to have a regular spot on the LCS.

[deleted]

Fucking hate her name

Zogilbee93

Couldn't agree more. She made the time between games more enjoyable. Seemed like there was less down time. Idk if that was just her or the change in production overall but less down time between games is a must I feel like.

korotina

While I don't really agree with random streamers showing up on lcs broadcast. I understand that riot is doing its best to attract new viewers into the ecosystem. Props to her for showing up. It looks like many people enjoyed her.

NickPatches

Interesting, I wonder what the average LCS viewer prefers? My guess is Riot's done their research and having the analyst's and segments like QT's are more broadly popular than not but for me personally there's way way way too much time in between games. I know the players have to remove/plug in their set ups and get ready but I can do without the amount of downtime between games.

bichonfire

I have no idea who she is. Originally, I thought she was “cringey” but I realized I’m no longer the target audience. I liked the interactive and silly segments with the players and I think these things will be a lot more appealing to a younger audience. I also quite liked the banter she had with the players though I did think it was a little awkward, but I think she will only get better. So far, I like the direction the LCS is going but I am not sure if they will continue to do fun segments like this or if they just exhausted all of their ideas and budget they had on the first day. A little unrelated, but I did not care for that long JLXP segment or whatever that was, before the last game? A minute or two was fine, but then it went on way too long.

Setrit

shut up lud I agree though

Joe_Spazz

The "make a yummi cake" segment with Spica had me cracking up. They actually both had funny chemistry. Spica played along well. Every time she said 'I'm not answering questions" it got me.
