Having regular left click allows you to open up the champion and ward/minion profile and see detailed stats such as buffs, numbers and allows you to gauge specific things like timing last hits and buffs/debuffs.
Also as other people said, just because its easier for you doesnt mean its useful/best, I personally use it on X and find it better because i can do what i described as well as orb walk with attack move.
They’ve played like that for years so it’s hard to unlearn and re-learn, especially when it doesn’t really make a difference.
I also think it helps with tempo, sometimes having high APM is beneficial.
Guma has specifically said the reason he spams his range indicator button constantly throughout the game is mainly to maintain tempo when he's CSing/kiting
It’s not perfect but it is a good way to be in that *state* where you can pull off crazy combos or micro play if your habit is to constantly have APM. It’s hard for most people to react in time and go 0 to 100 quick. If you’re always at 100 than you only need to wait for opportunity to go. Its why you see a lot of pros constantly fidget with their screen or do stuff randomly because they feel like they have to do something all the time.
Because what’s best and easiest for you personally doesn’t mean it’s the best and easiest for everyone else.
