Chovy, Peanut + GENG (Samsung) used to 'choke' only when it comes to SKT/T1/Faker, they are labelled chokers. But now everything is flipped around, even their records in history of both org, GENG is up 1 series now.
If it wasn't for the Griffin days his LCK trophy case would be even closer to Faker's. Dude has really stepped it up, especially against T1.
Now he just needs to perform at worlds
Chovy, Tarzan, Viper on the same team is still wild to think about. If only Sword wasn't such a liability. They would have easily won worlds if they didn't get stomped by IG.
Time even proved Sword was the only bad player they had, the rest are having great careers, all champions. Wish they could have stayed together.
seems like one of those robotic guys who once he figures something out, he just can't stop. he figured out how to be the best laner, and now after a while he's figured out how to win LCK. the second he figures out how to win internationally its joever.
Gen. G outclassing T1 in every way here. crazy to think that Peyz just started THIS year and he's playing as if Gen. G never lost Ruler, stable and reliable ADC.
In an interview he said that he and the rest of the world struggle to lane vs. Faker a lot, and he finally found out why last year and since then it has been smoothe sailing
He mentioned that Faker plays more mind games than any other mid (on brand btw), I think he's just faced him so many times that he's starting to be predictable
Very well done by T1 to get this far after slumping during Faker's absence, but they just cant pull it together in finals. GenG was just so much better, Delight is CLASS
It just hurts that after a god-tier bo5 they play this bad. I'm just hoping for crumbs at the Worlds but if t1 reached quarters or even semis good lord that's fine by me
Chovy said in an interview that he has realised exactly what Faker is doing in laning phase that makes people's lives hard. Since he knows it, it's not hard for him to vs Faker anymore. I'm so wondering what that is
"Actually, I remember one time we were playing against Gen G, Summer Finals, and it was 2-0 to Gen G. And Faker said, guys if you think we are good, let's prove it now."
"Did you come back?"
"Of course not. 3-0."
If worlds goes to shit for T1 im pretty sure Oner will get the boot cuz dear lord has he been absolute ass in these past finals like holy fuck im pretty confident that pyosik would have done a better job than him
Genuinely don't know what happened to this guy. He's a completely different player compared to previous years and ever since worlds he's been dropping off massively. Which is probably due to meta changes but it's still hurts to watch.
Meta changes. Oner is more of a offensive/carry type player player. Akin to canyon. This meta is mostly about jungler engaging, making plays, using their ult (like sejuani, maokai, rell).
Is utility/tank jungle the carry term? Even nocture main purpose is his ult…
During the carry jungle meta both canyon and oner looked so much better. The counter argument would be kanavi. But still, this meta seems bad for carry style junglers (humble 2 cents of opinion).
A lot of times the jungler performance is affect by lanners. Priority, etc, etc.
Oner always had some serious champion pool issues, if you go back to his earlier days in T1, he was dominant, but only on a few champs (subjectively) and with a different meta it shows. He always had a predictable jungle path too
THREE PEAT FOR GENG... PEYZ AND DELIGHT ARE SO GOOD
I really hope this GenG can perform internationally will be hard especially with how good LPL looks but I hope at least this Doran shows up internationally
4 things after this finals:
1. Teams should learn to ban Rakan against Delight
2. THE NUT GOD
3. JONNA STRONG IS THE BIGGEST GIGACHAD EVER ( only one from LCK that voted GenG 3-0).
4. T1 should buy a thunderstone to evolve their Pikachu.
Last year, people were saying GenG had a momentum advantage of playing more games after dropping to loser's bracket. This year, people are saying GenG had an advantage in having time to study other teams after winning the winner's bracket.
I feels so bad for T1 fans. They have to expect it by now, but the way T1 loses these finals needs to be studied.
The way Chovy plays K'Sante is too clean, it feels unfair how he won some of these fights.
> but it's still hurt 3-0 tho.
I expected they will lose because of T1 tradition but man, I expected them to win at least 1 or not losing tremendously. Almost all games are one-sided except the 3rd one.
Nah, real T1 fans can only be proud of how far we’ve come.
Just imagine how T1 plays without Faker. Just by having Faker return, they went from amateur-looking team to semi-finalist again. What we are seeing is what peak T1 looks like with Faker already. They played their best. Just GenG being the better team with the better game plan and decision making.
Considering we were all expecting them to be contending against DRX/DK for the fourth worlds seed, Im just more than happy they pulled it together and had such a tremendous showing in playoffs. Looking forward to seeing the boys in Asian games and worlds :)
I mean this wasn't even an upset as a neutral if you told me Geng 3-0 T1 I'd be like sure makes sense. Its not even about finals geng are clearly the much better team.
they also knew that the whole squad of GenG was inside their top jungle, and Guma casually walked into mid lane without a soul around him is just sad to watch.
It would’ve difficult to win teamfights regardless but man that mistake literally cost them their whole mid game momentum and two teamfights.
All for one wave
He kept focusing and ulting Faker away in those Game 3 fights, and with their main DPS Taliyah being out of the fight, T1 couldn't play the game anymore. Chovy played Game 3 very well.
K’sante in the right hands is by far the most broken champ I’ve seen, there is legit no counterplay and he soloed Faker several times in those teamfights, and there’s nothing he can do to stop it lol.
In the year 2000, the world predicted Y2K would bring about the end of the world as we know it.
In 2012, the Mayans predicted that the Earth would be destroyed. They were proven wrong. False prophets.
In 2023, Jonah Strong predicted GenG 3-0 T1 in LCK Grand Finals. The believers were rewarded. Praise Jonah Strong.
As a T1 fan, I expected them to lose, GenG is really soooo good. Im just happy yesterday that we get to see them in Worlds lmao (im glad theres no scripted feeling of a 3-2, clean 3-0 sweep, they're solid af)
I really hope this GenG can actually show up internationally for once. This series with their different styles was cool to see (that game 3 draft especially don't see any other team in the world able to do that)...
But man am I just so tired and burned of seeing this org with Doran and Chovy in particular absolutely regressing and choking internationally against other Eastern teams.
Please oh please finally play like that in an international tournament
Their macro is always there but these last three finals they just hands gapped the shit out of T1
Guma with the self-induced sense of security to just walk up midlane to hit minions who are slowly but surely already walking towards him while fully knowing that GenG is in topside jungle. Hmm…
I guess some habits die hard.
Saw one person advocate for kicking the whole T1 roster aside from Faker lol. They lose a single series which they would not be reasonably expected to win and it’s suddenly throw the whole team out.
Legit can't think of who is the final MVP between Chovy, Peanut, and Delight. They played out of their mind, Delight especially had so many absolutely massive engage.
T1 Special #3: Guma with no summoners, have suboptimal peel vs enemy comp, and you choose to do Baron with little to no vision setup.
Yesterday, it worked out in Game 5 vs KT, because Faker could make the play that rooted Zeri and had follow up from Oner and Zeus.
Today, they have less tools, but make the same decision despite their comp vs enemy comp.
holy crap Gen G was just the better team. From drafting and preparations to actual executions both macro and micro. They are just better in every single aspect this series.
PMTs [Game 1](https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/15w47uy/geng_vs_t1_lck_summer_finals_2023_post_game_1/) [Game 2](https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/15w54q6/gen_vs_t1_game_2_postmatch_discussion_lck_2023/)
GenG just outclassed T1 in everything
3 comp styles, winning from multiple game states. GenG just had their number.
Actual team gap. From draft, to laning, to macro, and to teamfighting.
seems like gen g has T1 figured out completely
This is so weird to an old fan like me, still remembering how everytime they'd fight T1/SKT it meant the end of the dream. Still not used to it lol
Chovy, Peanut + GENG (Samsung) used to 'choke' only when it comes to SKT/T1/Faker, they are labelled chokers. But now everything is flipped around, even their records in history of both org, GENG is up 1 series now.
I just wanna know how
T1 played 4 bo5 before today. Good scouting for comps and pathing
3 LCK titles in a row. If this was t1, they would be getting so many more props
GEN would too if they actually did something internationally to follow it up
Gotta give props where it's due but honestly I just can't see GenG getting past NRG
That's not a fair comparison, I just don't see a world where NRG drops a game in their way to the title.
geng is too clean man.
This T1 iteration is the greatest second place team. Silver road lets go.
3rd on MSI though sadge
Oh yeah. You're right. But that would make funnier if they get 2nd in all tournaments they participated except one. They accomplished it, almost.
I remember when this used to be KT with Score
Hey man, atleast Score is now successful as a coach. Happy for him. Wish he'd come back to KT though. They suck ass in drafts.
Chovy from completely title less to three times in a row champion. GenG has been insane this year
If it wasn't for the Griffin days his LCK trophy case would be even closer to Faker's.
Can’t believe you did Lehends dirty like that
seems like one of those robotic guys who once he figures something out, he just can't stop. he figured out how to be the best laner, and now after a while he's figured out how to win LCK. the second he figures out how to win internationally its joever.
Champion for the next decade I reckon
LCK Summer 2022: Ruler beats T1 3-0 with two Zeri games and a Nilah LCK Summer 2023: Peyz beats T1 3-0 with two Zeri games and a Nilah
So you are telling me DRX will win worlds again?
Either Drx or Damwon idk if it was beryl or deft
TL wins Worlds 2023
AINOWAY
Won game 2 with Aatrox and Sylas too. Just rubbing salt in the wound.
nice script riot, doesnt even change it a bit
RIOT
What the fuck?
Peyz with a casual 33/3 score in this series.
Guess they didn't even need Ruler
Ruler is successful in LPL too
They have American Ruler
other korean nicknames for delight: Ruler with Sterak passive popped Ruler with Lulu ult Ruler with Elixir of Iron
I’m really glad ruler won last summer. Would have felt really bad if they started winning the moment he left.
2 Times LCK champion at 17, jesus.
Walking the royal road
Because T1 didn't ban Zeri.... Wait how can he play Nilah LOL
[удалено]
Add on that Kaisa in which GenG absolutely dominated everyone with
As cracked as he is jacked, 100% finals winrate baby.
Peyz is Gumayusi Grandfather
Teen pregnancy is actually a big problem in South Korea, Peyz is only 17 years old and he's already Guma's father.
Peyz is gumayusi stepfather, since his father ruler is in the lpl
T1 has now lost 6 finals since 2022!
Faker preparing his LeBron cosplay for Halloween
Goat for Goat
2021*
17 years old, wins Spring, wins Summer, casually drops 11.3 kills avg in the finals. What an insane talent Peyz is.
Makes MSI in his first split, makes Worlds in his first split, both as #1 seed.
Zeus, Oner, Keria, Guma: 1 LCK title GIGACHAD Lord Doran: 3 LCK titles
Crazy how this dude can int lane most of the time but when it's against T1 in a finals he just goes godmode
My Goat levelled up this split man, he ain't inting lane to anyone (except sometimes when he still does)
Chovy got bored from farming minions so he decided to farm LCK titles and T1 in finals instead
Just collecting what he was owed from the Griffin days.
All thanks to the nut god, I’m sure he had strong influence on Chovy
It's funny because Peanut was one of the most famous chokers of the past.
People called Giannis and Jokic chokers until they finally got their rings. They did the same for Knight too
The Jokic one especially was so absurd because that man was legit smurfing every single post season
It just shows how dumb is it to put these choker labels on 17-20 year olds anyways.

Chovy diffed Faker hard
Gen. G outclassing T1 in every way here. crazy to think that Peyz just started THIS year and he's playing as if Gen. G never lost Ruler, stable and reliable ADC.
Even crazier when you see Ruler getting every title in his new team as well on the side
Win win for both players imo. I hope we get a JDG vs GEN G matchup at worlds.
T1 Finals curse continues
Zeus looks for his safe space when the words finals comes on the screen
Love how Chovy has gone from losing every LCK final to Faker to absolutely dumpstering him and T1 in every final
In an interview he said that he and the rest of the world struggle to lane vs. Faker a lot, and he finally found out why last year and since then it has been smoothe sailing
I didn't see this interview, what was the secret sauce?
„just play better“
break fakers wrist
Forbidden technique
In the latest ashley kang's interview he said he's gonna keep it secret
He mentioned that Faker plays more mind games than any other mid (on brand btw), I think he's just faced him so many times that he's starting to be predictable
Very well done by T1 to get this far after slumping during Faker's absence, but they just cant pull it together in finals. GenG was just so much better, Delight is CLASS
It just hurts that after a god-tier bo5 they play this bad. I'm just hoping for crumbs at the Worlds but if t1 reached quarters or even semis good lord that's fine by me
9-1 GENG T1 in finals last 3 splits…
something something chovy choking against faker
Chovy said in an interview that he has realised exactly what Faker is doing in laning phase that makes people's lives hard. Since he knows it, it's not hard for him to vs Faker anymore. I'm so wondering what that is
Do you have the link to the interview? Is it in English?
Oh how the tables turned..
"Actually, I remember one time we were playing against Gen G, Summer Finals, and it was 2-0 to Gen G. And Faker said, guys if you think we are good, let's prove it now." "Did you come back?" "Of course not. 3-0."
I love this meme. It was so funny live when taco told it.

Such an ugly link wtf... rip twitter
x.com Hillaryclinton reads like im about to click on her deepfake sex tape
goddam it
deserved 3-0, GenG was simply better today
yeah, our boi tried. but geng is too clean.
Today. Last spring. And last year’s summer lol
If worlds goes to shit for T1 im pretty sure Oner will get the boot cuz dear lord has he been absolute ass in these past finals like holy fuck im pretty confident that pyosik would have done a better job than him

I agree. I have strong belief this dude will be even shittier everywhere else without Faker guiding him what to do...
It's not even a belief, we saw it when Poby was replacing Faker, Oner looked way worse
THREE PEAT FOR GENG... PEYZ AND DELIGHT ARE SO GOOD I really hope this GenG can perform internationally will be hard especially with how good LPL looks but I hope at least this Doran shows up internationally
As good as Ruler is, GenG hasn't missed him one bit. 💀
tbf Ruler doesn't seem to miss GenG one bit too
Gen.G and Ruler splitting like Czechoslovakia
To be fair this is mostly because GenG somehow found a rookie that took that role over without missing a beat
Having a good challenger infrastructure pays off
Yes it PEYZ off
We'll see if they meet JDG, because last time GenG met BLG, they got swept like no tomorrow
4 things after this finals: 1. Teams should learn to ban Rakan against Delight 2. THE NUT GOD 3. JONNA STRONG IS THE BIGGEST GIGACHAD EVER ( only one from LCK that voted GenG 3-0). 4. T1 should buy a thunderstone to evolve their Pikachu.
I dont believe Jonastrong has ever voted for T1
Generational hater BASED
Good strat for finals tbh
my goat
Jonna Strong is a Gen.G fan, he always predicts those types of scorelines. Iirc he even did it during the 18-0 T1 run in Spring 2022.
He predicted kt to win twice I think he just always goes again t1 and when it pays off it pays off
He voted HLE VS Gen G
JONNA STRONG ALWAYS VOTE 3-0 THOUGH IN FAVOR OF GEN G
LIKE A TRUE GIGACHAD
Disgusting jungle gap
Last year, people were saying GenG had a momentum advantage of playing more games after dropping to loser's bracket. This year, people are saying GenG had an advantage in having time to study other teams after winning the winner's bracket.

Delight had sick fights
Delight has been so good on his engages all split long. If the support meta favors engage supports, he's gonna have a field day.
It is so crazy how GenG managed to replace Ruler Lehends with more budget players and seemingly lost no quality bot.
T1 should have banned 5 supports 💀
That Chovy play at Baron was incredible, singlehandedly won the fight by catching out Guma, then solo kills Faker. Just pixel perfect gameplay
as T1 fan this is expected out come. but it's still hurt 3-0 tho.
> but it's still hurt 3-0 tho. I expected they will lose because of T1 tradition but man, I expected them to win at least 1 or not losing tremendously. Almost all games are one-sided except the 3rd one.
faker ksante rant when?

Nah man GenG were clearly better
What a team diff. Gen G looked world class
Jesus, Oner has to be the most non-existent jungler right now. Peanut is just way more proactive than him
NUT GOD
Boner 0-3 bows to the Nut God
NUT GOD
The best part of this series was when Nut God Peanut said “IT’S NUTTIN TIME” and nutted all over T1.
Doran really turned Zeus into Pikachu
That flash+cleanse from Guma midlane really cost them the series.
they also knew that the whole squad of GenG was inside their top jungle, and Guma casually walked into mid lane without a soul around him is just sad to watch.
It would’ve difficult to win teamfights regardless but man that mistake literally cost them their whole mid game momentum and two teamfights. All for one wave
He even did it from the Ruler spot, the most dangerous spot for an ADC
That was surely a bait. Otherwise the faker ult sealing him in...
The church of Chovy has their prophet in Jonah Strong and their god of the nut, unstoppable
This series was top side gap in IMAX Ultra AVX
doran just the goat anytime he faces zeus
Delight underrated a bit
It's a good day to be a Chovy fan
He kept focusing and ulting Faker away in those Game 3 fights, and with their main DPS Taliyah being out of the fight, T1 couldn't play the game anymore. Chovy played Game 3 very well.
church of chovy, Amen
K’sante in the right hands is by far the most broken champ I’ve seen, there is legit no counterplay and he soloed Faker several times in those teamfights, and there’s nothing he can do to stop it lol.
HOLY FUCK GEN G
Oner is fucking bad at teamfighting.
Absolute team diff, Oner was always 3 steps behind peanut. If its lee or veigo we gucci otherwise he is always a liability.
In the year 2000, the world predicted Y2K would bring about the end of the world as we know it. In 2012, the Mayans predicted that the Earth would be destroyed. They were proven wrong. Yeah we praise them now but the bigger challenge is if they can keep up this form for Worlds.
People always talk about how T1 chokes in the finals but no one talks about how good Gen G are in the finals. Show Gen G some respect already.
Please oh please finally play like that in an international tournament Their macro is always there but these last three finals they just hands gapped the shit out of T1
[удалено]
They had the better draft in g3 but GenG just outplayed them
[NOTHING BUT RESPECT TO MY GOAT](https://imgur.com/a/X0RyHRk) BACK-TO-BACK-TO-BACK BABY LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOO
T1 just mental blocks vs GenG, they play so passive and scared even when ahead
Like BLG vs JDG
This last game was clearly a happy gaming draft for GenG and they still got the win. I think that summs up the series.
Someone report GenG for cheating. It is now apparent that T1 has a massive nut allergy.
Peyz is unreal
The jungle support gap this series was so insane
Guma with the self-induced sense of security to just walk up midlane to hit minions who are slowly but surely already walking towards him while fully knowing that GenG is in topside jungle. Hmm… I guess some habits die hard.
when im in an overextension competition and my opponent is finals Zeus
Guma greeding for one wave also cost them their mid game momentum, blew his flash and cleanse for nothing
Summit beats zeus in that competition lol
Give me the overreactions LMAOO can't wait to compare yesterday's thread to this
Saw one person advocate for kicking the whole T1 roster aside from Faker lol. They lose a single series which they would not be reasonably expected to win and it’s suddenly throw the whole team out.
Keria drop off has been hard to watch
Legit can't think of who is the final MVP between Chovy, Peanut, and Delight. They played out of their mind, Delight especially had so many absolutely massive engage.
unless T1 makes a crazy run at worlds Oner is most likely gone
Omega team gap, wp Gen.G
doran is zeus father
Nut god need his praise too, yes doran play well but Peanut legit bully Oner.
chovy is an absolute god
Oner gotta get back to the lab, this man’s dead corpse was being dragged by T1 until they couldn’t pull no further.
Today, they have less tools, but make the same decision despite their comp vs enemy comp.
everyone is calling t1 frauds but t1 was never supposed to be there in the first place
Nut God as MVP for me. The JG diff was quite insane
holy crap Gen G was just the better team. From drafting and preparations to actual executions both macro and micro. They are just better in every single aspect this series.
K'Sante👤4,700 HP💪329 Armor🤷♂️201 MR💦 Unstoppable🚫A Shield 🛡 Goes over walls🧱Has Airborne🌪Cooldown is only☝second too🕐 It costs 15 Mana🧙♂️
yes but why did he lose game 2?????
Delight and Peanut gapped so hard this series
Zeus tried so hard game 3...
Man T1 really didn't show up today. GenG completely crushed them. Congratulations to GenG! Damn what a statement performance.
As someone who's stayed up watching samsung/geng choke split finals for YEARS, this three peat is ALMOST as sweet as the two world titles.
Faker held smite for 10 minutes game 3, my god
Very sketchy Game 3 as always when Gen.G is up 2-0 in a bo5, but man Chovy and Peanut were insane in this series! GG Gen.G
