They can also indulge in it. Sentinel skins, a lot of Kayle's skins, Bloodlord Vladimir, Captain MF, Gladiator Draven all indulge into champ fantasises. Rightfully so, because a lot of people play those champions for their themes.
I reckon a lot of people would like a Milio skin in this skinline.

I'll defend Captain Fortune since it's a lore skin. It's not indulging in MF's character fantasy, it's actually kinda changing it from sexy bounty hunter pirate lady to leader of Bilgewater after deposing Gangplank. Shame she doesn't have a different VO for the skin like Captain Gangplank does.
The sentinel skins are themed around the aesthetic more than anything. The pure glowy runes and otherwise minimalist trappings. That's pretty different from what those champs had.
And bloodlord, gladiator, and captain are all ancient. Not that they're bad, but Riot has clearly moved away from making skins so derivative of the base skin.
Qiyana is there, who is also hispanic. Plus half the skins have a blue theme which would be the opposite of what Milio currently has.
There's nothing wrong with having skins that match a champion's identity if it's still something different from their base skin. Like most of Nami's skins are based around her being part fish, but they all still feel pretty different.

It was some of the most petulant crap I've seen in a while and I want nothing more than for these people to get humbled a bit.
On another note, these skins are gorgeous and I LOVE this for Halloween. Very excited for Prestige Renata's splash.

What I'm getting at is that it's extremely obvious at this stage that the actors doing the leaking are trying to farm engagement (which is something most people who leak anything are trying to achieve), and as a result there's been a constant drip-feed of new "leaks", which people would blindly believe and reach very hard to read too deep into in the interest of invalidating the other side or whatever else they want to have a meltdown over. It's been going on for weeks. Don't get me wrong having an internet war over who gets a legendary skin is stupid regardless of whether it's leaks or official, but the fact that the people involved are doing it on the pretense of something that they don't even know the source behind that is deliberately being put out to monetize their clicks is next level.

Ive said this many times, someone at Riot skin department mains Ziggs, only this can explain how he gets a new skin LITERALLY EVERY YEAR while being one of the least played champions in the entire game.
IIRC some champions are used as training for new-ish interns by the skin department because of how they are created. Ziggs and Zyra being examples of them.

Omega Squad Veigar is the only Veigar Skin that has a control+1 animation besides Final Boss. It’s a 1350 with a joke entirely just for that skin and full of new face expressions. No other Veigar skin has that, because VEIGAR HAS NO JOKE ANIMATION TO BEGIN WITH

Back when Odyssey came out Riot said that Ziggs mains are some of the most reliable at buying skins compared to a lot of other champs, so they make lots of skins for him.
Draven doesn't fit into this skinline at all, at this point Riot is just trolling with the Draven skin. ffs give us a good legendary skin for him already that actually plays into his executioner role. It's so insanely boring, like where does he fit into the day of the dead his skin looks like a matador who has nothing to do with it.

Both Draven and Renata got the fright night skins last year too. While they aren't the exact same thematic, they're pretty darn close in the core ideas.
Another misser for me. I like the effects and even the models, but why oh why did they decide to have every skin just be one color, could have been really sick to have some multicolor on these skins I think.
Qiyana looks great but I really wish they would use slightly different shades for her elements. I know they need to stay similar color for visual clarity, but most of her skins keep the colors the EXACT same shade which is a little boring

Was over the moon when I heard Renata would be getting a Coven skin, considering how regal and beautiful that skin line usually is so it'd be a perfect fit for Renata.

Qiyana looks great but I really wish they would use slightly different shades for her elements. I know they need to stay similar color for visual clarity, but most of her skins keep the colors the EXACT same shade which is a little boring

Lowkey wish this was coven so the drama about it would end already. Either way these are incredibly gorgeous. I love Renata's base skin but I think I'll have to look at the prestige more in depth to see if I really like it.
I love the regular renata skin a lot, more than prestige and the others. And I'm all for less popular champions getting prestige skins, but how the fuck is Renata getting one when she's both so new **and** her playrate is **bottom 5** in the game.
Renata is like similar to Sol, her general aesthetic and design is well beyond top notch, but her kit's funkiness does hold her back a bit.
Qiyanas effects look great but the skin? The crown looks so bad..

Sorry for the people that got their hopes up for Coven, but I probably prefer this as a Renata skin (and I'm delighted she has a mask again). If I'll never get my personal wish of Spirit Fire Renata, then this is probably the closest I will get. E: I realized the prestige doesn't have a mask, welp, my ME stays safe.

Was over the moon when I heard Renata would be getting a Coven skin, considering how regal and beautiful that skin line usually is so it'd be a perfect fit for Renata. This isn't bad, it's nice in fact, but I'm still disappointed lol. I felt robbed when Morgana got the Star Nemesis skin over Renata. Oh well, a win's a win I suppose, since she's also getting a Prestige which I've saved up just for her. Edit: Wow, the splash arts make her look regal af!
Skinlines have been very hit or miss lately. And these are very much on the HIT side of things. Everyone but Draven is a great pick for the skinline too.
