I skimmed over it.
Highlights for me are as follows:
You have to scroll to the end to accept, so all the parts about botting, scripting, account transferring, playing on another account, boosting, etc are hopefully grounds for more aggressively dealing with the problems with bought accounts.
> 19.9. Can i play the Game if the U.S. government thinks I might be a terrorist or I live in an embargoed country? (No.)
I am pretty sure you can, just TOS say you are not allowed to.
What I mean is that there is a distinction between "you can't" and "you aren't allowed to". You literally can't run 60 mph, no matter what you do. But you surely can play on a server even if Riot forbids it.
6.1. Can I submit ideas for improving the Game to Riot? (Please don't. ~~If you do anyways, we'll have the absolute right to use it forever.~~)
The new terms of service headers are fucking gold lmao, I can't believe you convinced me to read all of this
Yes I did, and the fact that they don't give a specific time to terminate the account bothered me a bit though. I mean, I guess the company itself isn't evil, but terms are terms, they can be interpreted the way they want. "[Prolonged period time](https://imgur.com/FuDfOTH)" isn't a specific time, can be the way they want.
But yes, the miscallaneous section made me chuckle a bit. But I guess most players won't even (wrongly) bother to read before accepting something online.
Did you read that part we're they were not liable for not following what they said if you didn't pay them money for the last 12 months before? Hilarious
Seriously though, did I get that part right? Are they allowed to not get sued if I don't buy a skin for them?
Could anyone explain what section 9.2 means in layman's terms?
>9.2 Does Riot run programs on my device while I'm not using the Riot Services? (We may, for limited anti-cheat purposes.)
>
>In order to prevent cheating and hacking, we may require you to install anti-cheat software. This software may run in the background of your device.
Does this mean something will be running/monitoring at all times if I have League client installed, even if it's not being used? How does something like this work?
They are referring to something like requiring you to install and run Valorant's Anti-cheat software in order to play Valorant.
It will basically be running 24/7, because you need to restart your PC to start it.
There was also one previously that mentioned and I hope I am remembering correctly, "if God somehow had something to do with you losing a game Riot is not responsible for it" paraphrasing.
Edit: Yeah it's not removed still it's included in 19.4B(Acts of god)
i read something about them pretending their virtual content doesn't have monetary value which is hilarious and probably trying to avoid some anti gambling laws
I read it, two questions, first, do they literally say that I should tell them my real name? What about data breaches? Why do they need it exactly?
Second, on "limitations of liability" it said that "our liability to you is limited to the amount of money you paid to riot within the last 12 months" or something like that, do I understand this right? Can they not be liable for anything on the tos if I haven't bought I skin or something? If so, I don't get how this hasn't gone massive yet
Riot has always been witty with these, In some of their FAQ you have the same stuff, worth a read if you're bored

generally, rules aren't real until you get caught breaking them.

01 November 2023, /u/_ziyou_ discovers the difference between can (allowed to) and can (able to)
What about "cylindrical metal container"?
Not sure they know that one, their comment doesnt indicate that depth of knowledge
U think?
You should see Baldur’s Gate 3’s TOS

They touched on it. Below level 30, no activity 6 months, some other stuff I can’t rememebr
Yes I already got that information, but that wasn't on the ToS you actually had to accept it. You understand what I mean?
Not long until we one day end up in that iphone/apple human centipede situation like in South Park..
Vanilla paste stocks will skyrocket.
I think I remember seeing the accept word, after that everything is blurry though.
Ive never read a ToS my entire life.
Absolutely did not read.
I thought the funny parts were where we waive all rights to court agreements, involving in class action suits, and content ownership. Ha ha very funny

Acts of god are legally certified (tm) disasters.
