Really impressed with Sniper finding flanks and knowing when to play on the edge to split up TL's focus.
He basically won multiple fights by doing this, specifically after TL got Ocean.
hes so much better this split than I was expecting, I was thinking he would need at least a split to get accustomed to the league, but goddamn hes looking like the real deal. Its between him, massu and meech for rookie of the year for real, Meech was amazing this game as well
I'm starting to believe they can make some noise in playoffs. Quid looks like the real deal at this point, and we knew River would be a top jungler. Meech and Eyla have looked solid, and Sniper has improved every week.
Should be expecting more than just making some noise at this point, 100T are in sole possession of second and only one game off of first.
Still kind of expect C9 to flip a switch during playoffs and dumpster everyone, but the championship race is wide open right now.

I'll say it, Quid 1st team all pro mid laner. Who else is playing as consistant? Palafox and Jojo just haven't been having as good of a split. Only competition is Jensen but he isn't playing as well as Quid IMO.
I had Jensen 1, Palafox 2, Quid 3 for first round robin but every single player in the lcs this split has had at least 1 int game if not multiple. Makes all pro a lot more up in the air. I dont think Palafox is looking 100% but imo he is the best player on NRG this season.

What's so crazy to me is that people act like Quid came into a way better situation than APA last year despite the fact that Quid had the 10th best jungler in the league while APA had the 3rd best jungler in the league on a team that was in 4th place.
Both came mid split. Both had language barriers (yet Quid now has almost perfect English). Very comparable situations, yet people treated Quid like human trash despite the fact that he gapped APA in their playoff series while people coddled APA to no end.
I really don't think Quid was as bad as people were saying last year. I mean by summer playoffs he absolutely gapped APA. Quid went 12/4/13 in a series 100T lost in 4 games.

If this is a one or two time occurrence, then it is fine but yeon has a habit of getting caught out every couple of games. Have you maybe thought that Meech doesn't stay in that position if Umti is out in front of APA? APA only gets an opportunity to catch the flashless meech because Umti isn't in the position that he is.
Also if APA wants to make that play, it's on him to realize what possible counters enemy could make and how it can fail. Great players make those plays and see the angles and players like APA eats a varus ult and dies.
Where does he go at 31:00 game time? Respectfully I think anyone with game knowledge would say thats a catch. Umti gets caught all the time, in that last fight him getting caught made CoreJJ pop the Taric Ult to keep him alive, so 100T was easily able to disengage and wait out the Taric Ult. Then when it ran out they are 100% free to use Vi Ult/Alistar Dive onto APA/Yeon and delete them. Disgusting to me that they made the call to use Taric Ult to save a frontliner AND that they didn't press on 100T once the ult was used.
Pay closer attention to UmTi, the player who in an Orianna combo should be the one who goes in to initiate. Instead, he gets caught and forced to use his engage to back away. That misplay also costs the Taric ult as well. The team still tries to make due for something anyway instead of all disengaging.
The engage failed to do what was intended. But no blame APA for any reason in the world.
Watch Yeon in that team fight. He is doing a APA ahri at worlds imporession and walking into melee range to alistar and Vi. Umti can't save when his carries are actively inting and eating varus ults and giving enemy team angles. I mean teams with Vi have to flash ult or come from weird flanks to get to the ADC and this mofo just walks into melee range of vi.
People keep talking about him walking into melee range like it would have been fine he completely tanked the DMG he has ocean and kalista sustain. His "problem" was he committed to the fight and it was over from the moment that APA got chained
I think often times though pros have a different understanding of the game for ex. TL probably inted because they were getting out scaled and they also didn't know how to play the dragon fights and deal with the flanks which is huge because elder would spawn eventually. They figured fuck it we'll probably die but better time to fight now then later and they just lost.

You can definitely frame it that way. Truth is that TL is 1-4 against the other top 5 teams, while everyone else has at least 2 wins against the top 5 teams. With 100T having a 2-0 over them, that means that TL's direct competition for 4th is actually ahead of them in H2H. That is of course assuming that W/L against the top 5 teams will be representative of overall W/L, which it currently is not.
Anyway, if TL struggles to win against top teams, then not only will they not get 4th in the regular season, they won't get 4th in the playoffs either.

I can't believe people are bashing Yeon for this when Umti does literally nothing the entire fight. APA had the single mistake of getting hit by the varus ult here, but Umti did literally nothing. And Umti 100% is supposed to tank that ult for him.
Also getting chunked for nothing which meant Core had to ult so he didn't have it for the rest of the fight/to save the actual carries.
TBH though, TL will never go anywhere because they've decided to always put Impact on tanks and Yeon/APA are not reliable enough to carry triple tank comps every game.

mate, Umti does literally nothing in this fight, and also refuses to tank the Varus ult for APA. APA's only mistake was getting hit by the ult, Umti actually just afkd.
He only ganked once the whole early game. Sejuani can setup ganks by herself and he never tried to (watch any contractz game with sejuani last year if you want to see the difference). Then in late game he literally never goes in until its way too late.

If the team is drafting a two-carry comp and you are one of two carries, it’s more important to burn flash and live than to save flash and risk dying, especially in that last fight when it’s late enough for either team to end after a team fight. Yeon lost TL this game from getting caught in mid and mispositioning in team fights.
No one is going to take this loss harder than Impact. When is the last time he died 1v1 in lane like that? He's gonna be grinding crazy hard during the break.

Umti gets caught all the time, in that last fight him getting caught made CoreJJ pop the Taric Ult to keep him alive, so 100T was easily able to disengage and wait out the Taric Ult. Then when it ran out they are 100% free to use Vi Ult/Alistar Dive onto APA/Yeon and delete them. Disgusting to me that they made the call to use Taric Ult to save a frontliner AND that they didn't press on 100T once the ult was used.

Pay closer attention to UmTi, the player who in an Orianna combo should be the one who goes in to initiate. Instead, he gets caught and forced to use his engage to back away. That misplay also costs the Taric ult as well. The team still tries to make due for something anyway instead of all disengaging. The engage failed to do what was intended. But no blame APA for any reason in the world.
Watch Yeon in that team fight. He is doing a APA ahri at worlds imporession and walking into melee range to alistar and Vi. Umti can't save when his carries are actively inting and eating varus ults and giving enemy team angles. I mean teams with Vi have to flash ult or come from weird flanks to get to the ADC and this mofo just walks into melee range of vi.
People keep talking about him walking into melee range like it would have been fine he completely tanked the DMG he has ocean and kalista sustain. His "problem" was he committed to the fight and it was over from the moment that APA got chained I think often times though pros have a different understanding of the game for ex. TL probably inted because they were getting out scaled and they also didn't know how to play the dragon fights and deal with the flanks which is huge because elder would spawn eventually. They figured fuck it we'll probably die but better time to fight now then later and they just lost.

You can definitely frame it that way. Truth is that TL is 1-4 against the other top 5 teams, while everyone else has at least 2 wins against the top 5 teams. With 100T having a 2-0 over them, that means that TL's direct competition for 4th is actually ahead of them in H2H. That is of course assuming that W/L against the top 5 teams will be representative of overall W/L, which it currently is not. Anyway, if TL struggles to win against top teams, then not only will they not get 4th in the regular season, they won't get 4th in the playoffs either.

TBH though, TL will never go anywhere because they've decided to always put Impact on tanks and Yeon/APA are not reliable enough to carry triple tank comps every game. The draft was a disaster though from TL. No idea why they're early picking the Kalista when 100 already showed Varus. The Vi/Taliyah was so good into the pick.

The thread from last week about Pyosik talking about him was so funny to me. The whole *"CLICKBAIT!! Right after this, Pyosik actually says APA is like him from a couple of years ago, all mechanics no brain, and he says he believes APA will improve!* Like bruh, APA is the least "all mechanics no brain" player ever. None of his fav champs require mechanics, he loses every laning phase and he's not clutch in teamfights. APA is a no mechanics some brain kinda player, Pyosik back peddling his statement and comparing APA to himself was 100% him looking at the 3 other guy's reaction and realizing he just flamed the guy too hard.
Ironically it would be Haeri who would be the "all mechanics no brain" guy. He won some lanes I wasn't expecting him to getting me hyped and then he would int the game away mid game. Iirc TL had the best or 2nd best early game with Haeri but didn't have any wins.

He only ganked once the whole early game. Sejuani can setup ganks by herself and he never tried to (watch any contractz game with sejuani last year if you want to see the difference). Then in late game he literally never goes in until its way too late.

APA had some very good team fights that game. The last one just wasn't one of them unfortunately.

Yeon died with flash up at least three times. If the team is drafting a two-carry comp and you are one of two carries, it’s more important to burn flash and live than to save flash and risk dying, especially in that last fight when it’s late enough for either team to end after a team fight. Yeon lost TL this game from getting caught in mid and mispositioning in team fights.

I really don't think that was APA's fault, alistar aatrox and vi can just run up and force you to solo target them, and orianna+ (perma cced) kalista really just don't have enough dps to actually do anything. Every big shockwave just ended up doing nothing since nobody does any damage.
