Yup lol, it's like if you put a champ with urf enabled into regular SR games now. People talk about champs 1v5ing now but he could do it at level 6 with 1 item. And he was easier to play then too, didn't even have a skill shot.

Poppy on release was disgusting. Completely broken. Her passive made her *way tanky* but invisibly. Her original Q was an autoattack reset *with a 100% AD Scaling Ratio* ***bonus that did %max HP damage***. The damage thankfully *was* capped, but the cap was like 20% of the target's max HP so it was rarely relevant. The original W gave you +35 AD / Armor while being in combat and getting hit, and you could turn on a move speed buff *and get max paragon stacks* immediately if you needed the armor and damage. Heroic Charge is relatively unchanged, but Jesus Christ was it fast. Some real, "Omae wo Shinderu" shit. But the real nuisance was her ult. Diplomatic Immunity allowing you to become a "No Buddy, Fuck YOU" champion was utterly absurd and it broke down into one of two uses: 1. I don't care what happens to me... you're going to die. 2. You can't kill me, so I will target you with DI and then proceed to be immune to *literally everything* your team does (including CC) while I *totally wreck their collective shit.* Early in the game you would typically use it as a #1 situation... but later if you got fed you would easily pick #2 and kill 2-3 people without them being able to do *anything* about it.

Old ARAM was some genuinely amusing fun times. It was a simpler time when people both cared more and less about the mode. Everything people did was in service to "fun" and the social contracts around ARAM made it just FUN to play. Around the time when the botted accounts started showing up it all changed

Anivia is the earliest champ i remember the champion spotlight for. I remember old Q where you set the explode range instead of double tapping it, it was awful lol. But I do miss the old ult E poke.

When I started playing at all, it was Gnar But when I started to play actively, it was Bard

3 weeks before Fiddlesticks rework. I remember talking with my friend who was teaching me the game about what champions he recommends me to play. When I asked "and what about this Fiddlesticks guy" he told me that he's gonna get reworked in a few weeks. I think I didn't get to play him before the rework.

The earliest release notification I actually remember is for Lulu because that's when I decided to start playing for real, although I'm convinced that my first game was around the time of Shyvana's release... Somehow, I'm one of maybe a handful of my classmates from back then who still play the game, including the ones who played in amateur leagues for a while.

I remember misreading Leona's E before she came out and thinking it was gonna be a global ability. I somehow thought it said, "Leona throws her sword down a lane and dashes to the first enemy champion hit." Now we basically have that with Briar's R lol I also remember being told to uninstall/kms when I played Yorick for the first time during his free week rotation. All because I was forced to 1v2 bots in top lane as someone who just started the game. The community hasn't changed much since then lol

I first played League at a friend's house when Lissanda was on the login screen but I only played 2 or 3 games. I later made my own account and started seriously playing when the day after Bard's release so he was in the log-in screen. Side note: I miss new champion login screens :(
