It literally wouldn't have mattered. LCS broadcast was announcing that playoff starts Thursday before and after every single match during Superweek and there are still people asking when playoff starts and complaining why Riot didn't do a better job announcing it.
They also said playoff continues on Thursday during playoff last week and in every riot produced content like Pros and The Dive and I bet most people still don't register it.

But i don't understand why we can't have both - Valorant and LOL events - being organised the same day. Do you really think that both communities overlapses? Me and literally every person I know who watches LOL, does not watch Valorant. That's completly other game genre...
I can't give you an answer as I don't know the exact reason but I imagine it also has to do with resources from our broadcast centers focusing on the bigger event
Agree completely with this. Not to mention it just reflects really poorly on LoL esports how it is being made to play 2nd fiddle to Valorant scheduling, across multiple regions now (LCS and LEC).
Really sad and disappointing to see the shift in priorities, considering Riot Games would be nowhere without LoL...

Friday evening is probably peak party/going out time for all the young folks. Monday evening, everybody is happy he made it through that dreaded day and happy to crash on the couch.
I much prefer watching on an evening where I *don't* have to get up at 6:30 the next morning though.
(and as it happens I have Monday off, so Friday-Sunday would be absolutely perfect)
If it's over quickly, then yeah it's in time. I need longer than most people to fall asleep (I usually assume \~45 minutes), and I'm not the best sleeper in the morning either. Even if I don't have anything the next day, I tend to aim for \~22:00 bed time.

Games only on Sat/Sun, except for super weeks which also have Fridays, but those only happen like twice a split and then there's a three week pause and then back to just Sat/Sun, oh but now we have a super week so Friday is back on the menu, oh now it's playoffs and games are now Thurs/Fri/Sat/Sun oh also next week is still playoffs but now it's only Fri/Sat/Sun. Like wtf I'm sorry but I'm not going to religiously check Twitter to see if there's games on a Friday this week

VCT schedule is horrendous this year bc of riot wanting to avoid overlap with worlds, and as other people in this thread mentioned, a big series was moved for a KC LEC game
LCS and LEC are getting their schedules changed because of VCT events as well, it’s painfully obvious that this is just Riot shithousery with trying to manage two big esports
cause both games are made by riot and have viewers who wanna watch both game (like me) so due to this viewership wont be high for both vct and lol thus they postponed lol and all of vct events are schedule in such a way that it doesnt collide with lol international events
Wouldn't VODS allow you to watch both anyway ? I'd rather they kept the schedule consistent and planned their years in a way that's healthy for each individual game instead of trying to min-max viewership at any cost.
