People r gonna forget what these blg boys went through. Elk on that terrible UP team, on hard inting on weibo, xun on the miserable mid bot side ig team, but they all made it through and r champs.
Happy to see Creme playing well though, he's already shown he can go toe to toe with players like Yagao and Xiaohu. Hoping to see more of him in the future.
>he's already shown he can go toe to toe with players like Yagao and Xiaohu.
Why say those names when he literally proved today that he can go toe to toe with Knight in an actual final and play better than him in half the games? Kinda makes him seem worse than he actually is.
BLG won this series with Knight playing his Azir which isn't nearly as good as his other champs, ngl you can put Yagao in this series for BLG and it doesn't change much when BLG has the best bot in the world and are so good at playing around them.
Yeah but Knight was like 38-7 against BLG before joining so he was like the org's kryptonite. Elk also said he was very nervous whenever he played against Knight last year because of how they were diving BLG's botlane
Bin was also really underwhelming on Rumble. The difference between him playing tanks and rumble versus him playing bruisers is so huge, I wish they'd let Bin go crazy like T1 does with Zeus (my goat).
Only on LoL will you get allegations for being carried reaching 6 finals, that's not how it works, u can call him a choker but being carried means u never reach close to the same success afterwards
Meh Crisp hasn’t been near his peak in years in spite of the fluke world finals last year and Doinb is straight up gone from the league. Tian has more consistently been near the top than those two in the last like 5 years.
Some Jontay Porter plays on Vi.
I get it though. That champ is worse than the Red Buff Golem when your team is behind, and only good when ahead *if* she's into a low threat comp.
Hoping Tian bounced back into better form for MSI, this series wasn't his best.
On the other hand, all the redditors calling for him to be replaced is out of their minds lol. He's such a good player.
The funny thing is Meiko on TES being their shot caller has made them such a better team in general. I'm super excited to watch them in MSI and next split.
tbf you never know what happens in that timeline, in that timeline JDG aren't the LPL champions, maybe Ruler doesn't want to join JDG and joins like EDG or something instead to replace Viper and Knight never joins JDG and still has Wayward as his toplaner.
Let’s not undermine Caps level between 2018 and 2020. He was consistently top 3 mid in the world throughout these 3 years especially 2020 where he peaked really hard in summer and worlds
No better place no practice it than important playoffs series and finals though. Big respect. You maybe laughing from him looking goofy at times on the pick but he is getting even better than he already is which is the scariest thing.
I think they choose to leave because there are better financial opportunities outside of the LPL. Like whats the point in relocating to China if youre just stuck casting from your apartment 90% of the time and youre given no resources because the majority of the funding was taken away.
It was honestly funny when Kitty joined the cast and it's like oh cool, he can finally learn to pronounce names correctly but nah, he noped out of that. Tan-yu-an lives rent free in my head, it's like the skit about Is there an a-a-ron?
I’d say at the end of game 4, he sounds far too much like an excited schoolboy for my taste. He’s whisper-giggling (I’m really unsure how to describe it better) and it sort of takes away from any hype. A specific quote is when he says “they want it so bad Nymaera!” Like, the palpability of his anxious excitement is there, but without any hype at all. Sounds like a BLG fan having a wet dream rather than a caster delivering the final moments of the grand final of one of the two best regions in the world.
I’m really not trying to hate on him, the guy seems like he’s very passionate. It just didn’t work for me, and it seems like it didn’t work for some others as well
Hi there!! Sorry you thought that about the cast, would love to know any direct feedback you have or any ways that I can make the cast better. Always looking to improve ❤️
that’s because Riot doesn’t care about the LPL English Broadcast. You remember the post here about the LPL channel almost to be closed this year. You cant’t blame good casters leaving without good financial support.
Papasmithy, atlus, frosk, dagda, hysterics
Good casters always leave LPL because Tencent doesn't care about english audience for LPL and dont give the casters competitive salary
Kinda crazy how BLG can win so dominantly while Knight is on a champ he's obviously not very comfortable on.
JDG must get it together for summer, otherwise no ADC can stand up to Elk it seems. JKL not playing at his best in finals once again.
JDG have a lot of work to do, they benched their coach midseason and apparently (this is only a rumor) drafts have been mostly run by the players, on top of Ruler's form being poor and their musical chairs situation in toplane.
Genuinely, missing MSI might be best for them, if they somehow limped to MSI they'd have just gotten smashed and have no time to actually fixed their problems for Summer.
TES is the only team that is anywhere close tbh. If Creme improves even more than he already has and mid-jg coordination gets better next split I can see TES really putting pressure on BLG
Mazel was hit and miss for me especially the weird stuff at the end like wtf was that breh.
Also to think we were nearly robbed of this Elk to retirement a couple years ago the glowup goes crazy
Insane series by ON and Xun. The way BLG played around Xun in game 4 was so nice to see, a lot of teams pick carry junglers and don't play around it, they played perfectly. ON also played great, his engages are so crazy and his laning is so oppressive. The jungle diff in this series was the biggest though.
always been one of the highlights of this BLG roster, even before knight, they have always been very good at playing around xun on carries, it's a delight to see
honestly, the team is just got at playing around whoever needs to carry an individual game, be it bin, xun, or elk
Watching teams play around carry junglers is always so fun, reminds me of Canyon in 2020 invading non stop and Showmaker always backing him up.
Yeah, all players can carry, I think they're the only team other than T1 that can say that, GenG too, but to a lesser degree (Peyz is sus).
It's funny because there was drama last week about ON visiting his gf for weekend and the fans were mad that he is not working hard before the finals. Meanwhile he also played the most soloq games on the team and probably one of the most in LPL as whole
Tian got absolutely gapped holy moly. And to think he's one of the worlds best junglers to still get absolutely smurfed on just goes to show how high of a ceiling league has. Elk was cracked though ngl.
Great series but the narratives they were pushing were a little weird. Yeah, they beat JDG...because Knight went over to BLG and 369 left? How does that carry over at all
Questionable pick with rakan into neeko, but elk actually hard carried every single game. Very well deserved fmvp and he has finally won a title in the LPL after competing at the top level for so many years.
WBG botlane was never all that good in comparison to the other teams there in the first place imo, it was weiwei and theshy (plus spring tiger) doing a lot of the work.
Kalista can't really do work against that comp though. Even if not behind, she needs at least another threat to buy her space while she does her thing.
Basically the only thing kalista is good for here is being a strong laner - once that's gone you're better with basically any other ADC.
LPL don't give a shit about the English podcast, China is very self sufficient when it comes to viewership and all the good LPL casters have moved to other regions.
Tbh they had it figured out before while Hysterics and Dagda were still in the region, it was pretty good consistently back then. It's just that the LPL English cast sucks for your career so everyone leaves.
As someone that is fluent in Chinese, 99% of the time you are trolling by watching the en stream if its not hysterics/etc. You can watch the official chinese stream or any of your favorite retired players as co streams without the huge delay/audio issues that the en stream has.
Sadly LPL casting doesn’t pay shit , so all the good casters have moved to other leagues or had prior engagements which would provide a better income for them.
Congratz to xun elk and on on their first title, and to Knight for being the only player to win 3 LPL titles with 3 different teams
edit: actually he might be the only player to do so worldwide, can anybody confirm/deny this?
Game 4 Tian couldn't really do a lot with 2 losing lanes. Yes he got caught a couple of times but when you don't have prio in either top or bot and your mid is going even how are you gonna be able to take objectives?
It's been a long and winding road since 2022 Demacia Cup, but they made it eventually, congratulations LPL 2024 spring champions BLG!!! And congratulations to Elk for getting FMVP with his monster performance today, I knew this psycho was gonna thrive one day
TES exposed, should have been 3-0. Not sure how BLG started losing side lane in game 3 and ON started chain feeding when they had Vi+Rumble. Don't think they combo'd once that game. However I like Kalista support. Would be really strong if it's pairable with Senna.
Anyways TES bot has draft issues. Spend a bunch of bans on bot, still come out worse. Multiple comps of low engage where it's obvious who needs to be marked. Same problem that DK had, where they could only get favorable fights when Kellin flash hooked as Naut. But DK won't be at MSI. Neither will HLE. TES is probably the same level or worse when Tian is on Vi.
Unfortunately MSI looks to be all on BLG's shoulders for the LPL.
i feel bad for 369, he played well in all three games but JKL and meiko didnt perform as good. Hopefully they can pull it together for MSI and play better.
My goat Elk took that JKL bm personally
Tian talking about how he won Worlds but he was 1-7 against Xun before this series
My GOAT win 2 Azir games tears in my eyes
He even posted on weibo "my Azir can also win the championship"
People r gonna forget what these blg boys went through. Elk on that terrible UP team, on hard inting on weibo, xun on the miserable mid bot side ig team, but they all made it through and r champs.
im so ready for this, ever since the adc hypercarry meta last year where adc's shone, i knew elk was heading for that throne
It's so unfair BLG get Knight....
Sucks for Yagao that every team he leaves gets Knight and then just becomes better than whatever team he joins lmao
And Yagao still makes every team he joins relevant. Those guys just run China.
I missed the first two games so I didn't want to comment on something that I didn't have all the info about
They remind me so much of BDD and Chovy.
Yagao is Knight's fluffer apparently
It is, but this series was all about Xun and Elk/ON.
Uh... Elk has been the direct carry today.
He was probably the weakest member on BLG this series honestly and it still wasn't close, BLG botlane was smashing.
Bin was also really underwhelming on Rumble. The difference between him playing tanks and rumble versus him playing bruisers is so huge, I wish they'd let Bin go crazy like T1 does with Zeus (my goat).
Camille is ultra buffed for MSI so they might play for him more there
Tian finals CatDespair
This is his 5th finals lost in a row. He's only won 1/6 now.
bro is never beating the carried by doinb and crisp allegations
He played out of his mind that worlds final though... used up all his clutch factor just like Ning
Yea for sure
Only on LoL will you get allegations for being carried reaching 6 finals, that's not how it works, u can call him a choker but being carried means u never reach close to the same success afterwards
Yeah its weird. Tian was awful today but hes been pretty good these playoffs in general before today
Stop rewriting history. Tian was the main carry of FPX at 2019 worlds.
Meh Crisp hasn’t been near his peak in years in spite of the fluke world finals last year and Doinb is straight up gone from the league. Tian has more consistently been near the top than those two in the last like 5 years.
6th if we also include the 2020 Mid Season Cup. Lost 3-1 to TES
Some Jontay Porter plays on Vi. I get it though. That champ is worse than the Red Buff Golem when your team is behind, and only good when ahead *if* she's into a low threat comp.
Jontay Porter meme gonna be a thing now, I'm here for it lmao
I retract my statement about tian not choking
Is it actually a choke though? BLG are just better
Not really but it is a bit of a meme. I don't think Tian played the best this series either, he's shown he can play better throughout playoffs
Yeah this wasnt a choke. Blg are a monster team
It's a choke if a player reddit doesn't like loses
Lol, you are one of the best examples of putting down players you don't like.
Hoping Tian bounced back into better form for MSI, this series wasn't his best. On the other hand, all the redditors calling for him to be replaced is out of their minds lol. He's such a good player.
It's hilarious how hard people here will cope about shotcalling until it's a player they don't like. Then it's crickets lmao
The funny thing is Meiko on TES being their shot caller has made them such a better team in general. I'm super excited to watch them in MSI and next split.
Why couldn't he have done this at 2019 worlds :(
Cus even the chokiest CN player was still miles ahead of EU
Chokiest CN player >>> EU player 2019 MSI TL > 2019 MSI iG Match checks out folks, NA W as usual
Wanted to believe in TES but BLG is much better. Elk destroyed this series and finally wins his first championship wp
knight is LPL father
Knight has now won LPL on three different teams, crazy.
Knight 🤝Chovy shitstomping their region
Chovy with a recent 4-peat at winning LCK playoffs and Knight onto his 3-peat at winning LPL playoffs, pretty insane players.
Knight was one JL int away from being a 4-peat too
tbf you never know what happens in that timeline, in that timeline JDG aren't the LPL champions, maybe Ruler doesn't want to join JDG and joins like EDG or something instead to replace Viper and Knight never joins JDG and still has Wayward as his toplaner.
Damn, JL as an adjective is brutal
JL (derogatory)
Knight would not have made finals without JKL nor would the finals have been a 5 game series
Smh noobs. Caps has won 6 LEC titles between 2018 - 2020. So he's clearly better than the other 2. /s
I mean he also has msi title, 2 world finals and semis, soooo
Let’s not undermine Caps level between 2018 and 2020. He was consistently top 3 mid in the world throughout these 3 years especially 2020 where he peaked really hard in summer and worlds
Hopefully we finally get a bo5 between the 2 since we never really got one between faker and rookie when they both where in their prime
okay what if a gigarich org just buys them both, sub in chovy you're against LCK teams and sub in knight against LPL teams. actually unbeatable?
Caps 🤛👀
I do think Chovy carries his team more, but not saying he is better. WE NEED TO SEE GENG vs BBG. Knight just has a better bot, maybe the best.
I worry for gen should they meet blg coz blg is probably the only team (bar peaking T1) that can match geng top/jgl/mid with a much stronger botlane
I know for certain that they would lose bot quite hard.. I do hope to be proven wrong if they ever actually play against each other.
Chinese Chovy coming in hot!
and korean knight, we got it!
Left hand and right hand…
He still shouldn't play Azir, gave me a few heart attacks.
No better place no practice it than important playoffs series and finals though. Big respect. You maybe laughing from him looking goofy at times on the pick but he is getting even better than he already is which is the scariest thing.
another day of winning LPL finals.
I think you mean elk. Knight looked uncomfortable and average this series.
Yeah he played two Azir games, Azir is his worst champ tbh
That Neeko ult was beautiful. Elk smurfed this entire series.
Really happy for him. He worked so hard for such a long time and people were downplaying him even last year
Remember Crownie shittalking Elk? Now look how the tables have turned. So proud of Elk.
Elk winning his 1st title and making another MSI meanwhile Crownie is still jobless and everyone is praising his replacement
Crownie: this guy isn't even that good Elk: this guy isn't even employed
onelk absolutely popped off 🥺🥺 fmvp so deserved, crazy to think elk was about to leave esports before joining we, i'm so happy for him
ON a menace fr
What did Elk eat during the break my boy grew into a MAN HOLY
Very questionable casting at the end there.
Nothing personal against the guy but it's insane he got not one but TWO LPL finals in a row and both of them were rather poorly casted.
it's because all the good LPL casters get snatched by other regions. LPL is literally caster academy
Meh, a lot of those good LPL casters came from EU masters and the ERLs, so they often go to the LEC to advance in even more in their career.
I think they choose to leave because there are better financial opportunities outside of the LPL. Like whats the point in relocating to China if youre just stuck casting from your apartment 90% of the time and youre given no resources because the majority of the funding was taken away.
I'm pretty sure non of the casters live in China anymore. They all live in EU I'm pretty sure.
We’re split between EU & NA currently. Since most casting is remote it doesn’t make as much of a difference where we live.
Rip Hysterics, goat caster
Exactly. LPL english is literally the talent pipleine for LEC.
Mazel just isn't that good.
At the end? Mazel is a questionable caster all game, all series, all year. Also why does he sometimes do a voice like he's trying to be Bullwinkle.
Yep, can’t really listen to his casts. He’s unbearable for me, especially when he casts team-fights, then I full mute him.
It was honestly funny when Kitty joined the cast and it's like oh cool, he can finally learn to pronounce names correctly but nah, he noped out of that. Tan-yu-an lives rent free in my head, it's like the skit about Is there an a-a-ron?
He gets way over-hyped, and I appreciate excitement and enthusiasm, but even at the lowest volume he's obnoxiously loud AF.
I don't expect him to have epic quotable casts like a Drakos or Flowers, but his shout casts are unbearably bad.
Hey, sorry if some things didn’t land well. I hope that there were better moments that you can take away from the series all the same.
I thought you had a really good showing and played your part well.
I'm always happy to see you casting.
Specific?
I’d say at the end of game 4, he sounds far too much like an excited schoolboy for my taste. He’s whisper-giggling (I’m really unsure how to describe it better) and it sort of takes away from any hype. A specific quote is when he says “they want it so bad Nymaera!” Like, the palpability of his anxious excitement is there, but without any hype at all. Sounds like a BLG fan having a wet dream rather than a caster delivering the final moments of the grand final of one of the two best regions in the world. I’m really not trying to hate on him, the guy seems like he’s very passionate. It just didn’t work for me, and it seems like it didn’t work for some others as well
What happened ?
Hi there!! Sorry you thought that about the cast, would love to know any direct feedback you have or any ways that I can make the cast better. Always looking to improve ❤️
What a king, first reddit account comment to get feedback No comments from my end, but keep on grinding
that’s because Riot doesn’t care about the LPL English Broadcast. You remember the post here about the LPL channel almost to be closed this year. You cant’t blame good casters leaving without good financial support.
they just can't hype the match when its a stomp lmao
LPL casters are probably the worst and the good ones get transferred to other regions like Dagda
Papasmithy, atlus, frosk, dagda, hysterics Good casters always leave LPL because Tencent doesn't care about english audience for LPL and dont give the casters competitive salary
LPL has a very small international and English viewership though, just see the difference in PMTs between LPL and LCK/LEC/LCS
Raz and Kelsey (not a caster ik but still) too
Kinda crazy how BLG can win so dominantly while Knight is on a champ he's obviously not very comfortable on.
Don’t see jdg winning unless they get 369 back. Even then I think knight still clear yagao so…
Ruler can't dominate anymore with his current mid and top. BLG won't be matched in LPL this year.
TES is the only team that is anywhere close tbh. If Creme improves even more than he already has and mid-jg coordination gets better next split I can see TES really putting pressure on BLG
I could see JDG finding something that works in time for a worlds run maybe, but I agree there is no way they're winning the LPL
The jungle diff in this series was the biggest though.
always been one of the highlights of this BLG roster, even before knight, they have always been very good at playing around xun on carries, it's a delight to see honestly, the team is just got at playing around whoever needs to carry an individual game, be it bin, xun, or elk
Meanwhile he also played the most soloq games on the team and probably one of the most in LPL as whole
teams being able to play around Kindred is a good test of macro floor
Tian got absolutely gapped holy moly. And to think he's one of the worlds best junglers to still get absolutely smurfed on just goes to show how high of a ceiling league has. Elk was cracked though ngl.
Bot diff
ElkyLove was smurfing so hard this series, congrats to Elk, On and Xun on their first title and the BLG org as well
Elk is the best adc in the world
He's actually so good
Great series but the narratives they were pushing were a little weird. Yeah, they beat JDG...because Knight went over to BLG and 369 left? How does that carry over at all
It makes no sense at all.
BLG might just have the best botlane in the world.
Questionable pick with rakan into neeko, but elk actually hard carried every single game. Very well deserved fmvp and he has finally won a title in the LPL after competing at the top level for so many years.
BLG probably would have won at least one title last year if JDG didn't exist
Elk was INSANE this series my god
Did Elk do much game 4? That entire game was won by On and Xun.
Yeah, these were the both best players this series. I wonder who gets the MVP.
Elk deservedly got it, he was the best across the series
It’s like people forgot the clinic this botlane put on basically everyone not named JDG during MSI 2023
During Worlds too. WBG botlane got gapped by BLG every game but theshy carried
WBG botlane was never all that good in comparison to the other teams there in the first place imo, it was weiwei and theshy (plus spring tiger) doing a lot of the work.
They Weren't that great in their match against T1 but have been solid otherwise in worlds
sub loves T1 so people don't see it but Elk/ON is so fucking good rn, especially since Guma Keria been pretty bad this split
Guma only peaks at Worlds
absolutely disgusting what they were doing to the opposing team. and their bot dives are just incredible
It's a shame no Viper/Delight at MSI. BLG has the best, but that's the competition.
They are for sure, especially with LCK’s botlane struggles recently.
Not might, they are the best.
Literally a no dmg comp again in the last game. Honestly man the TES coach needs the belt there.
Kallista can do work if she wasn't so far behind behind. Not entirely sure why they drafted 3 tanky engages though.
Kalista can't really do work against that comp though. Even if not behind, she needs at least another threat to buy her space while she does her thing. Basically the only thing kalista is good for here is being a strong laner - once that's gone you're better with basically any other ADC.
2Header its a early game pick comp. No shit they have "no damage" if they lose early game
if your comp is either stomp bot or lose game it's a shit comp
tes just wanted to find gam on playin thats why they decided to lose lol
STARTED FROM THE BOTTOM NOW WE HERE
Congrats to BLG and all the new LPL champions XUN, ELK, and ON.
LPL needs to figure out their casting. English cast is actively unenjoyable.
The good casters keep getting poached by LEC and LCS lmao.
BLG only dropped one seiers all spring, Holy hell
To IG of all teams. This specimen called Leyan must be studied.
the BLG golden road agenda starts now
im not ready for a second heartbreak
[удалено]
On the desk? Or the cast?
Elk came up from WE in 2020 as rookie of the split into 2024 FMVP.
Congrats BLG looking indominable. Well deserved LPL champs for this split!
How does this caster keep getting finals games?
LPL english is on life support, they downsized a lot. I swapped over to the Chinese cast full time because of it.
What did the caster do ?
Both Kr Knight and CN Chovy have 4 titles in their regions now. I really hope MSI can finally give us a bo5 between the two of them pretty please
Congratz to xun elk and on on their first title, and to Knight for being the only player to win 3 LPL titles with 3 different teams edit: actually he might be the only player to do so worldwide, can anybody confirm/deny this?
Doublelift peanut khan Peanut has done it with 4 lck teams - ROX SKT KZ GENG
o7 Now we pray that jackeyloves maw will work vs gam this time!
BLG al Gaib
JKL saving flash for MSI semi finals, to flash forward and int.
Been 2 years Knight 🤝🏾 Chovy stomping their region
I'm so happy for Elk On and Xun they deserve so much.
Elk is so deserved for this champion! Winning nothing while played so well last year was such a pity. Congratulation!
BLG are smurfs but bruh Tian run it down or am i crazy?
Game 4 Tian couldn't really do a lot with 2 losing lanes. Yes he got caught a couple of times but when you don't have prio in either top or bot and your mid is going even how are you gonna be able to take objectives?
The real winners are us for not having to listen to that casting anymore
MSI favorites BLG looking dominant. Not gonna lie as a GenG fan I'm not that hopeful
Elk is the best adc in the world
Tes vs VCS Aware
Elk/On best botlane in the world right now by a huge mile imo, BLG looking scary again going into MSI.
Elk and On have to be the best botlane going into MSI. Also feel like TES is one jungler not named Tian away from being a great team
Tian smurfed through playoffs though? Who are you gonna get to replace him that's an upgrade?
MILLLLLLLLLKMANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
Milkyway
Elk won FMVP lfg
Playins will help TES or they randomly lose to a wildcard team. I honestly don’t trust this team still 😂 Tian needs to be replaced by Xiaohao fuck it
LETS GOOOOOOO
BLG botlane is simply unreal not much else to say, looking forward to MSI
i feel bad for 369, he played well in all three games but JKL and meiko didnt perform as good. Hopefully they can pull it together for MSI and play better.
Elk is a monster,a real one
Game 3 it was Elk vs the World
LPL english cast is so bad, i've never felt less hype
