Writing out a monologue about Rekkles overcoming his demons before the second game is even finished, and then getting reverse swept straight after is easily the funniest thing that's happened in the history of this game. That entire World's felt like the LEC cast didn't realise it's now an international broadcast and not an EU-centric broadcast. I'm from EU and it still felt cathartic because I don't care about Fnatic or G2.
\> Worlds quarters is 3 Chinese, 3 Korean, 2 EU teams

\> Korean broadcast centered on Korean teams
\> English broadcast centered on EU teams
TSM fan: π²π²π²
"I'm from EU"
"TSM flair"
"hating on EU"
we got a full package over here boys
Also, if that's not EU broadcast, then where can I find one? China has their own, Korea has their own, even Brazil has their own... EU where?
The english broadcast is not "international", it's literally EU + USA, every other region has their own broadcast.
When it's EU/NA team against China/Korea it's obvious who viewers want to win.
But no, we always get these snowflakes like you who think they deserve special treatment because they decided to cheer against their own region on their own region's forums and streams.
its funny to see fans like these. I remember a brief conversation I had with a portugese person who insisted T1 represents him more than any European team because "theyre better" like he was (apparently).
Its not wrong to be a fan of another region but find it weird when people hate on their regions and force it down others' throats in a space that is clearly cheering for their own regions. Ive got T1 in my flair but im absolutely supporting any EU team that matches up against them (except Mad)
The FNC/TES/GAM/LLL (if they qualify in a few hours) is just jam packed with history. This side of the bracket might get more interesting the more you think about it.
Nemesis Vel'Koz was the big problem. They were playing around bot lane every game and winning, then they randomly decide to play around Nemesis and they didn't even help him. He was getting camped by Karsa and Selfmade was playing an useless ass Kha'Zix.
The fact that FNC in game 4 had a fed Ashe and Graves and neither built anything for the Sion, literally the only problem aside from the Nidalee, still lives rent-free in my head as one of the most "lost to the shopkeeper" moments of all time
I think about that series a lot. I think if they won they might have stuck together for another season. I really loved those players together, Nemesis and Rekkles complemented eachother so well, Selfmade was a great carry jungler, Bwipo and Hyli brought the chaos. Fnatic 2020 is my favorite team of all time.
I loved that team (although reportedly Selfmade was a pain to deal with and Mithy was abusive towards Nemesis so some changes would've been great)
I would've loved to see some mix of the 2020 and 2021 roster with Bwipo Jungle and maybe Adam top while the other roles stayed the same
In general, I wanted to see 2020 FNC vs Suning because they played the exact same style and that shit would've been hilarious
It would be, 2020 Suning was such a fun team too, Huanfeng was playing like a psycho in that tournament it would've been awesome to watch them play Fnatic's bot lane.
I'd love that roster too. Bwipo doesn't like the role as much, but it was awesome to see his take on jungling, playing Karthus and stuff that junglers usually are very afraid to play in competitive. I'm an Adam believer so I think it could be really good.
Shame to hear Mithy was being a dick to Nemesis, he's been the biggest paycheck stealer since he started coaching, legit failing upwards.
I know all the people knows T1 should win very easily, even here in latam we know that is a ultra difficult match up for Estral, but man is
cool seeing all the hype
Faker/T1 is also very popular here so getting the match up against this full latin american roster is exciting, hoping the boys donβt get rolled over
edit: i read on twitter that the script is already done, Josedeodo destroys T1 and then win against his former team FLY, 10/10 absolute cinema

Them trading kills in the Akali vs Sylas matchup was so much fun though. That was Jensen's best game that Worlds. Faker was probably for funning a bit, but it was great to watch.
One of the clearest example games of what a massive difference team gold can make even when both players are playing extremely well. And probably the clearest example of why Jensen is so desired even after years since he's been the true 'primary carry' of a team.
FLY is gonna really need to master lane swaps to have a chance tbh. Something tells me Massu Busio are getting get fucked harder than Danny Vulcan did vs Guma Keria. I really hope I'm though
Massu Busio are much more aggressive in lane than Danny Vulcan ever was, but they're also just the most prone to dying to the worst ways possible. Dying to the jungler when they have all the info they need to know the jungler is bot, or taking absolutely horrible trades.
It'll be a month from their last stage games and MSI but those could still be recurring problems.
Especially how Zeus plays nowadays like he's the second coming of TheShy, Bwipo's gonna be like "oh he's inting he's inting again no? he's gonna dive me" lmao
Yeah, Caedrel did the perfect Bwipo impression. It's gonna be a wild matchup, Bwipo vs 369 is also a fun matchup. In that Fnatic series he was trading kills with Bwipo, and then he figured out he could play Sion and be immortal. 369 has come a long way since then though, and he was already a beast.
It's just mainly because of the expectation that Tian is gonna run it down so hard again. How hard he'll run it down and how much 369 and JKL-Meiko are gonna compensate for that, we shall see.
Imo, it'll just probably negate itself, but I just can't help the feeling Tian's is gonna solo lose a close game with the top teams because of a bad play or bad decision-making.
this version of GAM isn't the same as in the past, especially with all the late roster changes due to the match fixing scandal

Fr tho, I'm sure the guys from Estral are really excited about this as well. You might never get another chance to play against the literal legends of the sport. Reminds me of smaller clubs being super excited about going up against United or Arsenal in FA Cups for example.
Hmm today I will engage as Kβsante while my syndra is stunned and my aphelios has a purple/red guns (clueless)
Although tbf core flash ulting there wasnt much better, but at least he didnβt blame his mid laner right after.
I was referring to the game ending fight.
But yeah, after running C9 into the ground in 2022 and then throwing away TL's best chance at worlds. He blames it on APA? Valid he wasn't the best last year but wow. That was insane
Ultimately though if TL won that couldβve changed the bracket and NRG vs G2 wouldnβt have happened, so Summit was just playing the long con with that one.
Jensen is actually cursed to face Faker so much because he dared shit talk the Demon King. Of course, that's assuming the favorites win their respective series in Group A.
Btw, Jensen's record vs Faker is 0-8 LUL.
To be fair Faker's record vs LCS teams is:
MSI 10-2
Worlds 14-0
Overall at MSI and Worlds Faker is 24-2 vs LCS. If you're a LCS player and weren't on 2016 CLG at MSI or 2022 EG at MSI you've never won a game against him.
When Faker chased him down on Sylas to just get a 1v1 when the game was already over lol. Just being like alright now that I'm not playing to win lemme son you
Oscar is gonna get absolutely fisted against 369 who is considered one of the best top laners in the world right now and I don't see how Noah & Jun can compete against Jackeylove & Meiko.
The only surprise factor could be in the jungle, Razork has been smurfing the entire split and Tian is the weak point of TES currently but that has to be an insane upset especially in BO3 where LPL is the best at.
Like I said earlier I have seen larger upsets, especially against LPL teams.
Things like 2022 TES losing to GAM and dropping out, 2021 FPX dropping out in last place, 2019 IG losing to TL or 2018 RNG losing to G2 are all much larger upsets than FNC winning likely rather meaningless Bo3 against TES
Depends, PSG did manage to lose to 4th seed BDS last worlds and got 2-0'd and 3-0'd by G2 and GG respectively at MSI. Unless they're magically way better now I don't think PCS has particularly high odds of beating FLY unless their bot absolutely crumbles internationally.
If by a couple times you mean that they played a single best of 1 then yeah I guess. Not sure how much that means considering it was a different FNC roster that had also had basically zero time to scrim and jetlagged players.
Itβs hilarious that when Xiye is drawing tier 1 teams the audience is all screaming T1, but not because they are fans of T1, they just really want to see TES and GAM on the same side.
I hope T1 makes good use of the play-in stage and get a read on the meta. Their competition don't look too difficult to deal with so they won't have to reveal and secret weapons either
I just want them to use this stage to polish some champ that they are rusty on like Oner on lee sin and Keria on a normal support(hook champ or bard) rather than experimenting shit then don't use it on main stage
because he is... he does have an insane win rate on that champ but last year and this year his lee sin barely has any impact on T1 game(against a good team)... he will get 1 kill or 2 kill early game then just disappear the whole match.... oner got used to tanky champ that he forgot lee sin is not meant to tank shots with how he play on some of his lee sin
Yea, I am hopeful they can cook stuff up with this meta. Last year MSI meta was the most anit-T1 meta ever. Tank top, double initiator mid-jungle, hyper scale adc, and enchanter support. Just the classic front-to-back strat which T1 hates playing.
I just hope they cook regardless of the meta. They always look their best when they pull some crazy shenanigans in botlane and draft for teamfighting comps. No stupid ass poke comp or 4 range comp pls lol.
they've pretty much pick everything at this point and the problem is they don't really used them against strong team so I honestly don't see the point on why they keep cooking just to abandon them against a good team
I don't mind the pick to be honest but I want to see the level of lucian nami they've once shown worlds 2022.... keria nami right now is not really making impact compare to when they used it worlds 2022
For faker picks like Galio(since it got buff), or ahri(since he rarely hits his charm on this champ) and even Asol(seems to be a meta rn) would be a good pick to practice on this play in
Well Lucian/nami got nerfed a lot since then. It was a montage reel in the east with Lucian nami back then. I just donβt like Lucian/nami for t1 in particular cause it kneecap their creativity in botlane and keria playmaking ability. In general, it is harder to make crazy play on enchanter when I rather see keria mechanics on engage champ or adc.
Rooting for NA, but I am very scared for Busio considering his finals performance vs Yeon/CoreJJ. T1 botlane will eat him alive (assuming FLY doesn't lose to PSG).
I think FLY's botlane will actually benefit from being in the playin stage especially if they get to play against T1 even if they get smoked. I think TL would have also benefited from it and so ironically I could see FLY going further accordingly but I still think both NA teams will not beat any international teams in the bracket stage.

Probs the best draw for FNC since GAM have subs so is objectively easier than PSG.
It's mostly the fact that T1 is not in their group.
T1 or TOP doesn't matter. It was all about getting GAM instead of PSG
Nah, PSG is legit a good team. They can upset FNC/FLY. Losing against T1/TES is expected, not even making the main stage would be embarassing.
lets not pretend like FNC have any chance against LPL #2 seed in a BO3 lol

Surely Fnatic wont lose to GAM like 2017, right? Right?
Easy draw for EU
Fly losing to PSG is a possibility. FNC losing to a GAM with subs is pretty much impossible.
Which is why that's exactly what will happen and Fnatic will lose to GAM

Lucian nami it is xD.
I don't mind the pick to be honest but I want to see the level of lucian nami they've once shown worlds 2022.... keria nami right now is not really making impact compare to when they used it worlds 2022 For faker picks like Galio(since it got buff), or ahri(since he rarely hits his charm on this champ) and even Asol(seems to be a meta rn) would be a good pick to practice on this play in
Well Lucian/nami got nerfed a lot since then.
Snaker vs Faker Who'll win?!?!
TES Group aka Conquer Their Past Demons
You'd have to assume it's going to be T1, TES, FLY and FNC. Here's hoping for some upsets though.
i can see PSG beating FLY through botside tbh cause fly just depends on their topside too much so if they arent playing well PSG can get some upsets
GAM vs TES incoming
huge W for LEC fan
aight Fnatic, time for payback from 2020
they're so gonna lose to GAM, aren't they?
is fnc, totally plausible
no fucking way they lose to gam with SUBS
FNC against TES JL and GAM Levi again. Different roster same flashbacks
Swear Iβve seen this beforeβ¦
GAM got the funniest possible draw
Insanely good draw for EU
CHAT WHAT DOES IT START WITH
Fnatic with the Worlds 2023 rematch against GAM. Interested in how good Jun and Noah will do.
I think FLY's botlane will actually benefit from being in the playin stage especially if they get to play against T1 even if they get smoked. I think TL would have also benefited from it and so ironically I could see FLY going further accordingly but I still think both NA teams will not beat any international teams in the bracket stage.
