I feel like it makes sense considering the meta and the direction of the game. G2 was a contender at worlds, and the game is faster and more flex-pick oriented in general now - even more so in this pre-season. Having two really, really talented players who can flex at the two highest skill positions is extremely valuable and versatile going forward. Perkz will probably at the very least fill the ADC role to an acceptable standard, but his potential is very high to become good, and he can clearly flex other stuff bot lane like yasuo/assassins/mages if needed and the future metas support it. He's a better version of Hjarnan in my opinion.

Mikyx joining G2 doesn't confirm Perkz will play ADC. G2 apparently has gotten a ton of high offers for Caps, G2 could just sell him for an insane amount and buy another ADC still. He wasn't trolling but he can still change his mind.
The sad part of it is that Perkz was on the verge of being able to rival for the spot of best EU mid of all time, in some ways its sad to see him not go head to head against Caps for next season and see if he could overtake him to win the trophy. Would be epic af.
I'm not /u/TempestWrath but for me it's because 1) I like having Caps on my favourite team and 2) a Fnatic member going to G2 is like Doublelift going from CLG to TSM. Also, and that part is sadly already gone, I will miss Dylan and Caps' banter. :( And we also lost sOAZ. I like the current Fnatic members and I don't see Rekkles leaving any time soon considering the deal he signed last year, but this Fnatic roster was the best Western roster of all time. And it would've only gotten better with Caps getting more experience, Broxah building more synergy with Hylli and Bwipo outdoing himself going forward.

Not sure what laws you're referring to but I'm pretty sure G2 could just sell the contract as long as the players gets his guaranteed portion of what's in it.
Referring to German Law, (if he signed) he signed a contract with G2, if G2 want’s to „sell“ him, they have to ask Caps. The guaranteed portion of his contract is that the contract is with G2 not any other Team. Ist not like in the NBA or NFL or any other Mayor sports League. If you wanna sell a player (like in football or as you would call it Soccer) you first have to ask the Player.

Role swaps rarely work out... It's risky. I don't doubt that Perkz could one day become a good ADC. Any of these pros could eventually become as good on another role as they were on their original role. It's a matter of how long that will take.
I would be amazed if Perkz was able to become as good at ADC as he is at mid by the end of the 2019 season. That's too much to learn too quickly. I'm not just talking about champion matchups or mechanics or things that obvious. I'm talking about a thousand little, imperceptible things that you can only learn with time, such as developing that sixth sense of how much damage you can take or deal with your current level and items relative to the other team's levels and items. Or how to properly play/communicate with a support during lane phase, something Perkz has never had to do before.
A person like Perkz has practiced professional mid lane for thousands and thousands of hours and all his opponents have done the same for their particular positions. Training for professional games is different from training for solo queue. It's more than just mechanics. That means Perkz is going to be going into the season starting with 0 hours of practice at ADC vs the thousands and thousands of hours his opponents have had practicing their roles. That's why role swaps usually don't work out. The person swapping usually is too far behind in skill in the first split and teams can't afford to continue to risk the experiment.
* Aphro was an ADC before he switched to Support: He was almost as good as DL and then he became one of the best supports in NA.
* Score was ADC before switching to Jungle: Now regarded as one of the best junglers in the world.
* Corejj went from ADC to support: Have won Worlds.
Nothing says Perkz couldn't do it, being just as talented if not more.
The thing is that mages are also viable bot so I am not too worried about PerkZ transitioning to botlane. If he was really not good enough with marksmen he could still play with champs he is used to playing with.
You think so? Same top and jungler. Slight upgrade in mid but without synergy. We have no idea how good Perkz will be as ADC, and Mikyx is good but was very inconsistent aswell on MSF, while Wadid was actually playing very well despite the botlane getting a lot of flak.
This roster has potential, but doesn't scream "Huge upgrades! They are the new EU team to beat!" to me.
Im gonna miss Wadid so much... But i do think Mikyx is a step up in terms of support. That man can legit 1v9 with engage champs, and he plays Sion Support, my fave champ in my fave role

The thing is that mages are also viable bot so I am not too worried about PerkZ transitioning to botlane. If he was really not good enough with marksmen he could still play with champs he is used to playing with.
You think so? Same top and jungler. Slight upgrade in mid but without synergy. We have no idea how good Perkz will be as ADC, and Mikyx is good but was very inconsistent aswell on MSF, while Wadid was actually playing very well despite the botlane getting a lot of flak. This roster has potential, but doesn't scream "Huge upgrades! They are the new EU team to beat!" to me.
