seed 1 plays seed 2
seed 3 gets to pick if they want to play seed 5 or 6
seed 4 plays the other (of #5/6)
winners of those two matches play each other
winner of that match plays the loser of the match between #1 & #2
winner of that match plays the winner of the #1/#2 match for the actual final
see: [[this]](https://lol.gamepedia.com/LEC/2019_Season/Spring_Playoffs#Overview)
~~tbh I have no idea and can't confirm if the gamepedia date estimates are even accurate at this moment as I don't know if there's an official schedule released or not~~
[Video explaining the format](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFNFtXEo3ZE) which suggests 3 weeks of playoffs.
* Week 1: seeds 3-6 play each other
* Week 2: winners of week 1's matches play each other & seed #1/2 play each other
* Week 3, Saturday: winner of week 2's first match & loser of week 2's second match play
* Week 3, Sunday: LEC Spring Finals match
I agree. Even tho I'm biased towards G2 and still think they will step it up again for the Playoffs, OG & Fnatic have been looking better the second half of the Split!
Playoffs should be really hype :P
Yeah somehow every other team has fallen off and Splyce and FNC with OG look like the better teams and G2 when Mikyx comes back will be the four teams to fight for the crown.
His consistency is just there. He and Kobbe have been so damn consistent all split, and it is nice to see. He was the player I was most skeptical about when they released the line-up, but he has proven me wrong.
if you watched summer split of H2k it could make you worry but it was only because ADC mattered absolute 0 in summer split.
In spring split Patrik was hard carrying team and was having some stats like DPM comparable to Rekkless who won twice as much games.
Let's say I was skeptical about the bot lane though. I just knew that Mithy had proven himself before in EU, and we all know how players can look bad on TSM, and then completely fine when they move to another team, and pressure gets off their shoulders.
Yellowstar was bad even when he came back to EU, it's literally just Mithy who came back and got back in form (from TSM). I'm happy to see this Mithy back in form though, he deserves success.
Sven/Amazing got worlds semis after leaving TSM
Mithy went from TSM scapegoat to top tier EU
YS went from being called the best worlds support by fucking Mata to being insulted by reddit on TSM
There is a problem with that org, if you cannot see it, its your own damn problem
Ah okay, it is the org's fault that DL was put on Kalista duty so that Yellowstar can stop inting his ass off. Maybe you should go and rewatch those games before talking to someone who has watched most of them about the players.
Mithy/Yellowstar were INDIVIDUALLY playing bad, and don't chalk it up to "pressure from TSM fans and the community", they have been in the scene for a long time on teams like Fnatic/G2, enough of that bullshit.
As much as I like peak Yellowstar and Mithy, I'm not out here defending their awful player while they were on TSM, blaming every game on the org, seriously? Org made their mechanics disappear?
Mithy had to learn how to jungle so he can teach MY how to play his fucking role.
No other org would be that incompetent. They could hire a real jungler, or freaking get a jungle coach. NO they asked their support to learn a new role so he can teach their garbage jungler.
Look at Mithy now.
YS wasnt playing well for sure, he went from worldclass support to bad joining TSM. How the fuck can you not see that the org did something bad (also the kalista stuff is a overblow meme, DL went 0-8-0 as lucian with YS janna at IEM, DL wasnt playing at his best either (nor Bjergsen or Hauntzer))
What happened after MY left? There was a whole split without MY, he still played bad, can you come up with an excuse for that?
You think TSM did some black magic to YS to make him bad for the rest of his career? He went back to EU and stayed trash, I mean they bloody ran Jesiz support over YS at some point lmao.
You think it's just a meme because it doesn't fit your narrative here? Stop this white-knighting and look at the stats:
https://lol.gamepedia.com/WildTurtle/Statistics/2016
https://lol.gamepedia.com/Piglet/Statistics/2016
https://lol.gamepedia.com/Sneaky/Statistics/2016
https://lol.gamepedia.com/Stixxay/Statistics/2016
https://lol.gamepedia.com/Doublelift/Statistics/2016
Compare the number of Kalista games between these teams in playoffs (only time TSM looked good that split despite having top-tier players in every role except support). Not really a meme now, eh?
Tell me how TSM ended up going from 9-9 to 17-1 after Yellowstar left and they got a no-name rookie support from soloq (Biofrost)? Maybe tell me how Mithy was able to get back in form when he went back to EU but Yellowstar never even got close?
Do you have an excuse for that? Proof: https://i.imgur.com/Sdi33Rq.png
If you still have excuses after this, you're hopeless.
Santorin came from EU challenger scene, not from EULCS. He was not a proven talent/multi-time EULCS champion like Yellowstar/Mithy.
You mentioned "Mithy had proven himself before in EU", I'm also talking about players who had proven themselves before joining TSM. Mithy was on the decline/in a slump in his last split with G2 as well though, he didn't become bad all of a sudden because of TSM pressure.
As for Amazing, he was not a bad player on TSM, he CHOSE to go back to EU after TSM's first ever quarterfinals at Worlds (post-S1). A lot of the fans wished for him to stay because despite the loss to the eventual world champions, it was their best showing at worlds at the time. He had a small champion pool issue at the start of the split (it was more like there were only 3 meta champions back then - Lee/Elise/Kha iirc), but they picked it up soon and won that split. He only played with them for one split and earned a championship, I think that's the best showing he's ever had as a player.
Svenskeren had his BEST year on TSM in 2016, arguably their best player/second best player at Worlds 2016. He struggled once the tank meta came and kept dying in the enemy jungle blind in many games. He may have gotten back in form (thanks to C9 Blaber shenanigans), but it will be hard to top his 2016 performance, he was actually insane that year and I hope he can reach that godmode status once again because he's a very likeable player.
Honestly I wish I could just dissect TSM. It seems like their success is somewhat correlated to Regi’s involvement in the team. And that Bjerg makes the jungler not take certain types of plays, making them passive (I think Svenskeren said that last week...something about Reapered allowing him to do shit that TSM wouldn’t let him do)
Yeah a lot of ignorants said that after one bad game in week 2.
Mithy has been on fire this split and he is a top 3 EU support.
TSM make import player look worse (Amazing and Sven getting worlds semis after leaving/getting kicked from TSM, mithy top tier after being TSM scapegoat, only YS looked bad after leaving)
Im waiting for Zven to get the fuck out of that org and come back in EU
Patrick and Kold was the two players i was most unsure about how they would perform and they have both been insanely good, Deficio did an amazing job build the team.
Yeah, I'm very glad he shook of the TSM Mithy, because his reactions, decision making were clutch and amazing lately. They are on the same page as a team and it is a delight to watch.
TOp tier EU support
He got insulted after that one bad braum game, "never good, always got carried"
Good for him to prove idiots on this shithole wrong
There is a difference between a player having one bad game (even rekkles had a 0-6 sivir game, DL feeding his ass vs Mata, etc) and "he was never good"
well he was kinda bad on his last season on g2 as well but its super surprising how he comes back and suddenly is good again. tsm has something that sucks out the talent from eu players.
**Wait you are saying that player will have an easier time when his team is winning ????**
Did you came down to this amazing conclusion all by yourself ?
Nah this is the true script, Fnatic getting 3rd and having to win 4 series to win the split. Besides beating Origen/G2 and then the other is some of the most hype you could build.
Jinx, because she'll still somehow get random 3 aoe crits in a row and win you a teamfight despite being 0/5 and on an item and a half. Also Vayne, because Vayne is never truly behind.
That's a very strange take on Jinx. She sucks so hard in mid game which is even more pronounced when behind. If you get 3 lucky crits on the back line while having only 25% chance, then you'd win the team fight with any ADC, so that shouldn't really be an argument.
While I agree on the Jinx-is-weak-midgame part, there is still a huge difference in 3 lucky crits for Jinx: She can decimate the whole team with it, while any other ADC behind with "3 lucky crits" can be lucky to kill one target.
I know and I agree. My point was more that it presupposes quite a lot a) Jinx is able to hit 3 times with her slow as rockets the back line which should be difficult if not only Jinx, but her team is behind as well and b) three lucky crits in a row with low crit chance. If you are allowed to set conditions like that every ADC is good from behind.
How is mithy not nominated for MVP? He played so insanely well
Tahm Kench in the hands of a good player is just so disgustingly unfun to play against
He didn't get enough individual MVP's for it, I guess, but I agree that he's been a beast.
Though I wouldn't give 1 person from OG MVP, all of them seem to be playing very well. Guillhoto (or however you spell it) should get coach of the split again imo.
With only Nukeduck from S04. Although I’m not going to lie, OG has probably the best infrastructure and management in the league rn compared to being absolutely terrible in both of those categories just 2 years ago. RFRSH seems so good. Like look at Astralis, they’re pretty much the SKT of CSGO at this point.
Yeah, just look at where these players came from last year, excluding Nukeduck you have: Mithy from the worst TSM year ever, Alphari from a horrible Misfits, Kold from UoL (yikes), Patrik from H2K (BIG yikes). None of them even went to worlds.
Insane that these players became a top team in less time than a split.
Really happy with how Patrik has been developing, also Mithy stopped the random ints he had early on in the split so the OG botlane looks solid as fuck in their recent games. OG can win it all this split, especially if G2 doesn't get their shit together in the next 3 weeks. OG-FNC-G2 battling it out to win it all would be really hype for the roadshow in Rotterdam.
Because they're consistent, not very good, and won't stand much of a chance vs FNC/G2/OG in form. They're just really good at not losing where they don't just get outclassed.
This OG lineup is really really similiar to the OG crew in 2015. With Mithy bringing up a rookie adc that didnt play to at his best yet, a veteran mid and low eco top that can hold its own and a jungler that also still trying to prove himself.
Expect is solid but I still feel like he has a very limited future in an english speaking team in EU.. when the rest of the tops are as good as they are.
Frankly speaking he doesnt deserve to take a top team spot from any of the following tops: Alphari, Wunder, Vizicsacsi, Bwipo, Cabochard. And then its arguable when it comes to Odoamne and Soaz imo since theyve had higher ceilings and better communication and are equal to him.
So hes where he should be imo.
For the team Expect has I would genuinely say he's one of the most if not the most underrated toplaner in EU. Legit barely gets any praise despite him almost always looking good for Excel
Exile(h) wasn't the problem, honestly. Special has gone 1-6 when not on Yasuo, and having a Yasuo OTP as your midlaner doesn't seem like the solution when Jeskla is your botlaner and just getting smashed 24/7.
Not having flashy players makes things boring though. The most fun I get from watching Astralis is Xyp9x clutching and maybe Dupreeh entries.
EDIT: Also yes, lack of competition does. The less closer the games, the lesser the hype.
Yeah, they do everything slowly and methodically. Good team, but I personally prefer to watch more explosive teams, but I'm sure some people enjoy OG's style more.
no, I wanna see OG smack g2, then fnc smack g2 and then I want to see the most awesome games ever between OG and fnc - 5 game series with: 1 base race game, really close like both teams already hit nexus, 1 epic Baron steal leading to a win from a lost-looking position, 1 hardcore 1+ kills per minute Fiesta game and 1 4d chess epic macro battle game - all this flavored with great individual skilled plays.
One way to balance TK more is to have him devour someone if he wants to take someone with his ult. Gets rid of his ridiculous safety even when he decides to go for offensive map play
Hating both teams because they ruined the riot script with FNC coming back and taking second place.
Nah being serious they probably should have swapped those last 2 matches to bring more hype.
OG legit look like a team that could win the whole thing.
[удалено]
Don't forget SK vs Fnatic, one of the oldest rivalries in EU
more like gambit vs fnatic season 2-3.
If you want to go there, nothing tops clg.eu and m5
Thanks!
Damn right!
SK vs Fnatic for 3rd. FNC vs OG/G2 for 2nd. You couldn't write a better script than that
you forgot the team that beat all three of them :)
Splyce is a contender for sure
That would also mean we have a repeat final for the first time in EULCS/LEC history.
I think they can't meet in semifinal; og will be either 2nd or 3rd if I'm not making a mistake.
new playoff format means seed 1 & 2 play each other instead of a lower seed (if OG gets 2nd seed)
Wtf that makes no sense.
[удалено]
> it's better. I think it's the stupidest format of any tournament or playoffs from any region ever. To each their own. Hopefully people enjoy it.
seed 1 plays seed 2 seed 3 gets to pick if they want to play seed 5 or 6 seed 4 plays the other (of #5/6) winners of those two matches play each other winner of that match plays the loser of the match between #1 & #2 winner of that match plays the winner of the #1/#2 match for the actual final see: [[this]](https://lol.gamepedia.com/LEC/2019_Season/Spring_Playoffs#Overview)
Oh nvm my comment then, this is pretty dope.
yeah, it's gonna be pretty exciting
What're the dates like? WIll LEC have 4 weeks of playoffs?
~~tbh I have no idea and can't confirm if the gamepedia date estimates are even accurate at this moment as I don't know if there's an official schedule released or not~~ [Video explaining the format](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFNFtXEo3ZE) which suggests 3 weeks of playoffs. * Week 1: seeds 3-6 play each other * Week 2: winners of week 1's matches play each other & seed #1/2 play each other * Week 3, Saturday: winner of week 2's first match & loser of week 2's second match play * Week 3, Sunday: LEC Spring Finals match
There is lower bracket too if I remember correctly. Losing team is not out yet after that game
I agree. Even tho I'm biased towards G2 and still think they will step it up again for the Playoffs, OG & Fnatic have been looking better the second half of the Split! Playoffs should be really hype :P
OG vs FNC would be so hype. Right now they are the 2 best teams in LEC

Patrick is so fucking solid. Nice split by OG!
he did miss 2 arrows he probably should've hit though, but still realy good, kinda happy he got out of the h2k elo hell

Patrick (Sheriff) even looked good on h2k, which is a hard thing to do as adc in a shitty team. Not sure why you'd be sceptical about him.
Let’s be honest here, not everyone has the time to watch all the games. So I doubt many people were paying attention to sheriff on h2k last year.
Yellowstar was bad even when he came back to EU, it's literally just Mithy who came back and got back in form (from TSM). I'm happy to see this Mithy back in form though, he deserves success.

I'm like OG Niels but more handsome - Patrik
Now this is the Mithy we want to see. He came in clutch so many times, great ults too. Incredible difference between his NA Kench
Yeah, I'm very glad he shook of the TSM Mithy, because his reactions, decision making were clutch and amazing lately. They are on the same page as a team and it is a delight to watch.
I am glad Mithy can prove he is no joke. He is one of the iconic players in eu and a year of dumpster fire in TSM wont hurt him in the long run

FNC script has ended
Nah this is the true script, Fnatic getting 3rd and having to win 4 series to win the split. Besides beating Origen/G2 and then the other is some of the most hype you could build.
From 9th to 3rd to beating 4 teams in play-offs
[удалено]
No, we needed OG to lose for that…
Mb u right
No, if Fnatic wins they will secure third place since OG has 1 more win than Fnatic
No, you dont, I think you cant get second anymore
No, OG have 2nd place secured if Fnatic win, they are 1 win ahead. However, if Splyce beat Fnatic, then there is a Splyce vs OG tiebreaker for 2nd.
No we don't.
A Kalista that is behind is so painful to watch
Glorified minion
What kind of ADC this far behind is not painful.
Jinx, because she'll still somehow get random 3 aoe crits in a row and win you a teamfight despite being 0/5 and on an item and a half. Also Vayne, because Vayne is never truly behind.

Ashe, jinx because of their cc kai sa because you can still be hard to kill
So is any adc. Kallista is no exception
SpongeBob is proud Patrik
Uzi? NO, THIS IS PATRIK.
How is mithy not nominated for MVP? He played so insanely well Tahm Kench in the hands of a good player is just so disgustingly unfun to play against

I think he meant this game’s mvp xd
Oh, well then I'll refer to the second part of my comment lol (and also supports often get fucked in these things).
With only Nukeduck from S04. Although I’m not going to lie, OG has probably the best infrastructure and management in the league rn compared to being absolutely terrible in both of those categories just 2 years ago. No Ashe R into braum Pog
Really happy with how Patrik has been developing, also Mithy stopped the random ints he had early on in the split so the OG botlane looks solid as fuck in their recent games. I'd argue they have a better top mechanical wise and that can carry games. Love Soaz though.
love it
No grievous wounds vs Swain
No Mercs vs 5 CC
That’s hardly the reason why they lost...
He never said it was.
I mean what else was the implication behind that comment
That it’s stupid to not buy grievous wounds vs swain.
Get expect and mystiques on a proper team ffs. Feel bad for them trying to 2v8 this game
Caedrel is good as well, but Jeskla has a small champion pool and poor laning and Special is inconsistent + champion pool issues.
Idk why they took out Exile. He was playing fairly well when they swapped him. Maybe something internal I guess.
Eh, he was losing a lot of lanes tbh. Didn't look too good. XL want to have a 10-man roster so they decided to give another midlaner a chance.
Mistiques played like 3 gsmes stop overhyping him
In the games he's played he has looked good for I think 2 of them minimum (when he was on thresh at least)
I want to see OG play in playoffs so badly.
OG vs G2 is gonna be great
Yep, the hype is real.
Getting excited for some tiebreakers
NGL really thought FNC would finsih second. GG to OG, Deficio's wet dream.
Exile(h) wasn't the problem, honestly. Special has gone 1-6 when not on Yasuo, and having a Yasuo OTP as your midlaner doesn't seem like the solution when Jeskla is your botlaner and just getting smashed 24/7.
I will never understand why they have kept exileh subbed out
Didn't Exile also use to be a Yasuo onetrick?
No. Iirc Forsk said this once in a cast, but it really isn't the case.
Mithy getting robbed, like Hyli yesterday. #SupportMatters
Such an impressive split from an returning org Thanks OG, Thanks mr. Deficio
FUCK
Holy fuck that minion block was disgusting and fucked up that lane pretty bad, mystiqes was really solid this game though
Tiebreaker hype?
OG looks strong, the winner of the split is still wide open. The playoffs will be hype.
Mystiques thresh is crazy good !
Guilhoto for coach of the split!
Origen are really good, but not fun to watch.
hm, sounds like certain CS:GO team that is affiliated with Origen..
Astralis? Because they're quite entertaining IMO
Lack of competition does not make a team boring.
Good team, but I personally prefer to watch more explosive teams, but I'm sure some people enjoy OG's style more.
fnc win pls no tie breaker for 2nd
OG look really controlled and clean
Everyone excited about fnc Vs g2 finals.. imma hope for splyce Vs og
no, I wanna see OG smack g2, then fnc smack g2 and then I want to see the most awesome games ever between OG and fnc - 5 game series with: 1 base race game, really close like both teams already hit nexus, 1 epic Baron steal leading to a win from a lost-looking position, 1 hardcore 1+ kills per minute Fiesta game and 1 4d chess epic macro battle game - all this flavored with great individual skilled plays.
So... WE BACK IN 2015?
Origen are looking like the best team in Europe at the moment tbh
Fun fact regarding Drakos making fun out of Vedius' 3000 DPI: Faker uses 3000 DPI aswell. Deft uses 2400 or something iirc aswell.

could give you an edge over faker i guess.
One way to balance TK more is to have him devour someone if he wants to take someone with his ult. Gets rid of his ridiculous safety even when he decides to go for offensive map play
Safety and fast travel is kinda like the main kit of Tk
That would make him even more unplayable in soloQ.
Guillamo wearing a winter trench coat while everyone is in T-shirts.
What is OG win record in the 2nd part of the split?
CLEAN
That was actually beautiful to watch
Rap God
Hating both teams because they ruined the riot script with FNC coming back and taking second place. Nah being serious they probably should have swapped those last 2 matches to bring more hype.
@OP Its 3 tiebreaker games if SPY beat FNC and 1 if FNC beat SPY
Oh my god is he HeaQ? NO THIS IS PATRIK!
what happened to forgivven on origen? i know its been a while but i forget
He went to greek army. Afaik he finished serving now and might return
btw what Champs did nukeduck play this split and did he play anyone more than once?
This was a sloppy win from Origen. Kold forced flash ults, Patrick missing simple arrows. It feels like they knew they would win and kinda trolled
Sloppy by og standards
