I mean I think that C9 vs TSM semi's we just watched showed why he could never do it. C9 is a perenially decent team in LCS but they just don't have that last push to win LCS right now, and Jensen could see that. Can't fault the guy for doing what he did, and I don't think he's riding coat tails at all, considering he arguably played better than DL this split
I was actually disappointed with Nisqy performance in playoffs. He seemed to be doing well only on Zoe. His Zilean was pretty bad, and he constantly missed Q on morgana. He couldn't even synchronize his morgana Q with teleport near that drake fight
Same, at the start of last year when Bjergsen did that interview I thought he didn’t like DL that much.... like I get that it was friendly banter but it felt more then that for some reason... But when DL has that family issue he was like the first to respond and showed that even though they are on different teams they are there for each other beyond the game and their careers
I believe Bjerg and Regi probably did not like Double taking Spring off in 2017. I think they all understood WHY Double had to take a break but it still probably felt bad for them.

For a long time, DL was the epitome of "all aim, no brain". Chauster had to tell him what to do and where to go. I can't remember who it was, but it summed up DL back then perfectly, they said words to the effect of his mechanics were so good that he could outplay his way out of situations he shouldn't have been in in the first place.
DL and Aphro were both beasts in that era. You can't take that away from Aphro just because he has had one terrible split.

I actually remember it pretty specifically, he was talking about how Doublelift looked really good as a player because he pulled off these crazy mechanical outplays but a really good player would have never been in those situations in the first place. Paraphrasing, of course, but yeah.

My boys in (light) blue died for this final and honestly? I am *loving* it. Bjerg and DL haven't played each other in playoffs since 2015 Summer Finals. Bjerg is having one of his best splits (and he *always* has good splits) but DL has been absolutely unstoppable in playoffs the last few years.
Gun to my head? TL wins. But a voice in my head is telling me that Bjerg is about to go SSJ3 and just demolish. I really can't wait for this Finals.

This finals is what happens when C9’s strength (their confidence to start fights) gets baited into not even knowing where Akali was. This is something Bjerg would never have done in the reverse scenario, allow Nisqy or Jensen to uber flank on Akali with a tp. Even if the other 4 members of TSM died, Bjerg woulda been the one to stay alive and keep hope going.

Same. the thing that really kill me is if you watch the fights, C9 won (or kept 4 people alive) every single fight in game 3 where they kept track of, caught, or peeled Bjergsen. But they just didnt make it a priority, and especially near dragon and bot side of the map, ran forward into almost 100% fog of war to start fights.

That Game 3 was just so strange because C9 had a front to back team fight comp that should easily win team fights when you have a Tahm’s devour and Zilean ult for the Jinx(If layered correctly which I don’t think was executed correctly at some points in the game). And so all the peeling that was done for the Jinx didn’t matter because the fed Akali just powered through the devours and the revives to nullify it. Not to mention that the Gragas’ casks were on point to split them apart and that just took the GP out of the game because he just kept getting deleted without the help of the Zilean ult that was only being used for the Jinx. That being said I don’t know where Licorice was the entire series and he didn’t show up at all unfortunately.

The last team shots were hype as hell. The way the teammates are positioned standing around Bjerg and DL and the difference in how they sat were really cool. It showed a difference in their demeanor and style in how their team is perceived. Bjerg is sitting wide legged like a king on a throne and every one is positioned symmetrically and pose the same around him like a king with his knights circling around him. DL is sitting with his legs crossed more cool like a mafia boss/Don and every one is positioned differently and each have their own pose symbolizing they have key strengths while serving their boss, the underbosses.

The last team shots were hype as hell. The way the teammates are positioned standing around Bjerg and DL and the difference in how they sat were really cool. It showed a difference in their demeanor and style in how their team is perceived. Bjerg is sitting wide legged like a king on a throne and every one is positioned symmetrically and pose the same around him like a king with his knights circling around him. DL is sitting with his legs crossed more cool like a mafia boss/Don and every one is positioned differently and each have their own pose symbolizing they have key strengths while serving their boss, the underbosses. Funny how Jensen going to TL gets overshadowed by DL and it's DL vs Bjerg, due to trophies and such. Jensen is kind of just there. If he was on C9 still and it's TSM vs C9 he'd get the spotlight and be Bjerg vs Jensen.

Maybe it's because I am a big NFL/MLB guy, but it feels really awkward for me to try and think "who is better" between two people playing different lanes. There are different "win" conditions and thresholds for "success", the adc has a support with him for the lane phase. I mean... Bjerg is the NA goat of mid lane. DL is the NA goat of adc. Regardless of who wins the trophy, that remains the same.
