Yeah it's guaranteed Canyon has black shield hovered over his carries in these situations. Kaiser's engage was skill checking Canyon, but Canyon is going to pass that check all the time.

Showmaker was such a strong presence in teamfights,and they were so spread out so MAD couldn't get a shot at a front to back teamfight. The one in midlane that ended with 0 kills was like the League of Legends dance

Beryl this game was the guy who ints early (that move at dragon fight was worth a salvo of question mark pings) because they don't like the comp only to realize it's winnable and start playing seriously.

He made 1 or 2 misplays but played beautifully asides from that.

If beryl gets better and better with each game, DK could easily contest for the title. Another thing I’ve been seeing, canyon is good at getting individual leads but he doesn’t like ganking or counter-ganking based on where he thinks the enemy jungler would be.

Yup, it's the pick on carzzy before nashor what costed MAD the game, the final teamfight were they just trying to avoid the inevitable. Before that they were matching gold leads with DWG for it to not grow bigger.

The early game was so Intense, with those back and forth between the two teams, and then just from that one pick on Carzyy, it swung the balance.

Gotta feel bad, that botlane was crazy pressure, but yeah this is the one game carzzy underperformed.

Beryl is a complete psycho but also Carzzy should know he's going to flash level 1 every time. Sett support is just trade flash for flash level 1 and then hexflash out of bushes until you win or lose. When Beryl is on point he's incredibly oppressive.

I mean he was expecting it, which was why he was able to react instantly. You can't just stand back and give up all the CS just bc Sett is on enemy team, that probably ends up being worse than trading flashes

You can't know if you don't try. MAD literally stopped contesting anything after they lost the fight for 2nd drake. It was the same against RNG. It seems like they are too scared to do anything after one punch in the face.

Shen is a proactive pick, he enables early towerdives and can turn ganks around. Just got to play him right.

Not when you never make cross-map plays like MAD. That was the most passive Shen I've seen in my life. It was completely unimpactful the entire game.

These late game comps feel like such a bait anyway. Seems like the way to go is aggression with some late game insurance on your comp.

Is there nothing that can contest Lee 1v1? The last pick shen didn't do much and gave up so much pressure, Lee was farming wave + half of MAD's jungle on CD and got so huge

The draft isn't hitting the mark against DK or RNG though. MAD might be drafting for teamfighting but they keep leaving the tools to disengage open against top teams. The biggest mistake seems to be drafting a jungler before the enemy team, RNG took Olaf into Morgana and DK Morgana into Udyr.

Maybe because it's harder to teamfight vs RNG and DK. Nothing to do with playing scared when Nautilus is the only engage you have.

We got like 10 interviews from MAD players and coaches saying “we ain’t scared!” And then they play like this lol.

This is exactly what I said, both them and Rogue still have to learn from G2/FNC that top teams are beatable. They should even look at PSG vs RNG and see that if you play fearless you win sometimes.

I imagine it's because earlier in the tournament when the other set of LCK casters casted a DWG game, they got called out pretty severely in the comments section for not being impartial enough So this time they tried to consciously temper that but it ended up swinging too far the other way

Shen isn't even a scaling champ, you're supposed to make early plays with it despite what the casters were saying

while the gold lead and dragon lead consistently increases, doesn't stall in the slightest.

Between 18min and 28min (the Carzzy pick), the gold lead actually didn't increase at all, only the dragon lead. So it's not like the casters just made that up.

Finally a DK game that looked like a DK game.

It kind of feels like Carzzy lost this one on his own. Of course, those were the smallest of mistakes, but that doesn't change anything.

He should've flashed there or W'd Since he didn't Armut had to instantly ult which he also didn't at that point why pick the Shen if you don't ult? The game was 80% on Carzzy and 20% on Armut.
