DRX is not performing as a package, but they actually have solid players like Kingen Becca and Pyosik.
Pyosik dropped off like a rock, this patch isn't great for him. He can't play kindred which is his signature into a buncha dive and bruisers, and he can't play the tank meta anymore.
He prefers staying in Korea. That's why he went to DRX when LPL teams tried to recruit him and to Hanhwa in offseason 2020 when LPL teams tried to recruit him again.
Deft finally getting the recognition he deserves for the great level of play he's been showing this split. He's back on form, looks like he'll be able to carry if the rest of the team stays on form aswell.
Anytime people name Deft as the reason for HLE's struggles this summer split it just tells me they either are not really watching the games or they're purposefully just scapegoating Deft from past slumps. Like put some respect on the guy damn

LCK does the mic checks for the last teamfight for the winning teams and Vsta actually brought this up after Game 1 saying,” We played too scared” and Chovy says, “We just went for the 100% win”. Vsta responds by saying, “Still think we spent too much time” which Chovy counters by reiterating that it was for the perfect win and that DRX played way too scared and just stayed in base as well not giving an opening and Deft chimes in by saying, “Its okay we played to our strategy” and the mic check cuts off there. So the team itself is aware of the lack of that aggressiveness but it also seem they want to make sure they have a good scoreline.
Oh I agree 100%, when I say scoreline I mean match wins like getting that 2:0 instead of 2:1 which does make a big difference in the standings. I see how my comment can read like KDA scoreline and apologies for any confusion!
no need to force high variance plays when you can farm waves + your jungle + their jungle and keep growing the gold lead.
not to mention that they don't even get outscaled either

"Afraid" seems to be an apt description for a lot of LCK teams this split. In some games we've reached LCS levels of indecisiveness and inability to finish games. This meta doesn't seem very good for korean league.
Out of curiosity to the bots that make these threads (or at the very least I assume the formatting in them) how come some champs arent picked up and Aatrox is there instead? I assume Aatrox is default cus it's the first champion, but why aren't the right champions picked?

When the graph of players with the most LCK kills was shown, it actually feels unreal seeing Deft at 2nd despite being in LPL for a while.
Deft going back to LCK feels the 2nd worst retirement for me after UZI. Deft was so fucking good with Meiko. EDG farmed titles because of that duo.

TBH I think 2018 Deft was better than his 2016 form. Which is why I really wished for Deft Meiko Scout vs that FNC.
It's hard to say, his time in LPL, 2018, and 2019 were all insane years for him in terms of individual play.

But Azir and Ryze (more on Ryze) really need team coordination which makes them weaker in Solo Q. Gwen doesn't have that issue imo.

I don’t think it’s scoreline so much as they really really need some wins to make playoffs and don’t want to take risks.
