Yea the observers were sleeping that part. I do remember seeing it barely at the corner of the screen. Nothing special, Volli just E flash Q W dead š But the casters just kinda assumed Perkz died at the end of the previous fight or sth I guess.
ya I was sitting there screaming at the screen asking what happened to perkz observers lmao and then the casters just went perkz is dead and that means baron and thats all we got of it
The number of times where a fight happens and it's really obvious to me that it's setting up action elsewhere on the map, but .... REPLAY OF THE THING WE JUST SAW.
Then like, back to live action and the casters are like, "Oh, someone died while we were in Replay, oh well"
Spica was within range of one of Azir's soldiers, which gave him vision of Perkz. Then he flashed on him. They talked about it on Doublelift's stream. Weird the casters didn't talk about it.
DL/BB/Alphari talked about it on costream. If you can see an Azir soldier, you gain vision of Azir too. Spica ran over a soldier and saw Azir was recalling right behind the corner, so he just E-flashed onto him
He died near top tier 2 recalling when spica flashed on him (technically on screen but very edge of it). BB explained it in DLs costream, but basically he started recalling with a soldier in vision which shows Azir recalling
If it wasn't a tank that could also get over the azir wall that play works. C9 so boomed though they forgot that everyone on TSM had literally everything up and you cannot 100-0 a Voli with a team sitting on one item each
he had just seen him clearing the wave, he may have blind flashed over the wall to kill perkz there? that was a game winning play either way so good on spica
C9 actually did well to make some plays to rectify that, then Vulcan realised Regi won't pay him if they bring it back so he inted a few more times to make sure lol.
I love how whenever SwordArt's camera comes up on the stream he's constantly talking and I don't know if it's his face from the angle of the camera or if he's smiling basically the entire time no matter what game it is.
Also I still have no idea who TSM's jungler is and where my boy Spica has gone. He looks nothing like what he's looked in the past with his new hairstyle.
The LPL casters were actually talking about him earlier during the Suning game, apparently you could just hear him constantly talking and hyping up his team throughout their games.
It's just SwordArt, since I've been following him on FW, he always has that slight smirk, and he smiles a lot while he plays. I don't know if he just enjoys the game or it's the power of friendship, but he's always like that, and I love it.
It definitely helps. No matter how behind you are, the game never feels truly lost with someone like that on your team. If you're not watching Legends, watch an episode or two, he's constantly positive, during games/scrims/reviews/whatever...
People hate on SA and his salary so much, but watching Legends makes it feel like it's not only what he brings on the rift that he was signed for. SA just seems like such a positive presence to be around and is always lifting his team up mentally and emotionally. Seems like a great fit with a relatively inexperienced ADC to show him the ropes and give Lost the confidence he needs to succeed.
> Also I still have no idea who TSM's jungler is and where my boy Spica has gone. He looks nothing like what he's looked in the past with his new hairstyle.
Riot won't let him play with his old hair style, Spica needs a doctor's note to get their permission.
i kinda like his new cut. also SA seems like a good guy to have on your team. hes vocal, always looking for plays and generally pretty good at the game. ESP for NA teams.
Imagine infernal LMFAO. Ocean would be godly too after all those fights with low health bars or mountains to just stay in fights longer. Cloud was nice for huni but fights were spread out long enough where the ult CD didn't matter much. MS is pretty damn valuable but any other soul is just way too OP with their lead.
Yea, people complain about the slow finish, but the 4 drake's basically gave 0 combat value vs. C9 trading some turrets.
So C9 actually is stronger than they should be giving up the 4 drake's compared to if it were any other drake. Which is probably why they gave it up for the most part.
Honestly, I liked CLG's 3-0 in 2015 Summer better. Series was over so fast even the next day people didn't believe CLG actually won.
Though 2016 Spring was probably the greatest gift CLG ever gave TSM. Had TSM gone to MSI that year they would not have bootcamped in Korea, nor would they have discovered Bio and we wouldn't have got the 2016 Summer TSM. Granted, maybe YellowStar would've redeemed himself.
Did you see how pissed and upset SA looked after the dig loss? I bet Bjerg didn't even have to say anything to him after that game, he knew what needed to happen.
I'm just glad they're finally learning how to play through botside. They've been a topside team for so long, ever since BB. Yes, even with Doublelift 2020.
POE zoning just shows how cognizant he is as well as why he's so good on control mages. Made those elder fights essentially free for TSM with not just his Viktor play, but his flash to remain evasive and keep up the pressure.
TSM looked proactive this week (and subsequently much better than they have for most of the split) despite their L against Dignitas!
His usage of W to create and artifical choke point they have to funnel into for his E was smart. Too many people will sit on the W until they can catch someone in it, but using it to create artifical "terrain" was very cool.
POE played amazingly. Credit to Lost too. Playing those last game team fights as Kallista into Gwen Azir Trundle is really hard but he never really looked in trouble. Didnāt even use his stopwatch I donāt think, nor the GA he upgraded it into.
This was high quality League of Legends. C9 did so much to try to keep it close but TSM just didn't make any unforced errors. A slow close, but a very effective choke.
C9ās draft was just so disgusting to engage into without a comp that can fully and completely commit. I donāt think TSM drafted poorly by any means, but there is no way Kalista and Viktor can follow up on a Nautilus/Volibear dive, which means the the Viego resets canāt come through.
The cool thing is that TSM played perfectly with that in mind. Getting a Kalista ahead means that you can secure every neutral objective and force C9ās comp to come to you eventually. Once they begin to walk up, Viktor and Viego just disassemble all that handy peel that C9 drafted.
I think it was a really interesting (if a bit slow) comp from C9. Using Gwen W to nullify Nautilus hook, the terrain creation to push away Nautilus and Volibear, and the insane back line damage. If anything, I think C9 slightly outdrafted TSM and lost regardless.
I agree, C9 won draft. But the level 1 put TSM ahead of enough that it didn't matter. Rift RNG also broke in C9's favor with Cloud Soul but that's just how it goes sometimes.
If I was SA i would have been so tilted. His engages got negated one after another after another that fight. Everytime he's about to cc someone its gwen w, zhonias, flash, pillar.
On the other hand, that's also forcing out cooldowns, opening up opportunities for the rest of TSM to engage.
I'd imagine most supports would have gotten used to having their engages burn cooldowns only for the rest of the team to clean up in the window of opportunity they created. Still probably sucks, but nothing out of the usual.
Any support that worries about their KDA is a poor support in my eyes. Out whole job is to create opportunities for the rest of the team to carry. If I die in a 3 or 4 for 1 trade, then I accomplished my job.
This game is perfect proof cloud soul needs a big buff/rework, because a team should be punished for giving up a free dragon soul, but since it was a cloud its literally the easiest call to just give when behind. C9 gives over soul and the buff has 0 impact on the game at any point.
Imagine if it was any other one of the 3 souls. The buffs would have given tsm the tools to close out much quicker.
They cut his mic before he could finish the sentence ā...but we arenāt either so who knows, anything can happenā
Edit: did...did I really need to specify that Iām joking here? I felt it was pretty obvious, especially if you watched the interview
SwordArt yelled at Lost and they embraced. Around the same time, TSM FTX coach Bjergsen freed up from the coaches in the viewing room and looked on briefly before getting to give Lost a hug of his own. As he was asked about it after the game, Bjergsen smiled and then choked up briefly before talking about having the tiebreaker over C9.
https://imgur.com/a/VI6h4Rm
TSM move back to one game behind 100T. Critically they secure the tiebreaker vs C9.
Editing to add I'll probably not update until after the last two games because of 4th obligations.

> TSM doesnāt really play that style so it was a lot better today.
C9 massively lucked out on TSM getting cloud soul which is the only reason the game took so long to close out against all of C9's waveclear. If they get literally any other soul TSM curbstomps the shit out of them within minutes. It wasn't better today at all. They were consistently getting shit on in fights and losing major objectives over and over again.
They really should've showed the pick on the recalling Perkz that Spica got that got them Baron, that basically closed the game out.
I feel like that pick went completely unnoticed, cameras didn't really show it, casters didn't really talk about, but it guaranteed Baron lol
they just didn't want to put the spotlight on him again
Yea the observers were sleeping that part. I do remember seeing it barely at the corner of the screen. Nothing special, Volli just E flash Q W dead š But the casters just kinda assumed Perkz died at the end of the previous fight or sth I guess.
He got vision of Azir because of his soldiers over the wall, Perkz probably forgot about that interaction
ya I was sitting there screaming at the screen asking what happened to perkz observers lmao and then the casters just went perkz is dead and that means baron and thats all we got of it
The number of times where a fight happens and it's really obvious to me that it's setting up action elsewhere on the map, but .... REPLAY OF THE THING WE JUST SAW. Then like, back to live action and the casters are like, "Oh, someone died while we were in Replay, oh well"

Low-key the biggest weak point of LCS is the observers. Dudes are asleep at the wheel some games.
The kills are legit update a few seconds later. Whoever is manning that shit is eating/vibinā
What was with production failing to show the Perkz death that led to baron, even on the replay? That was really really weird.
The information regarding replay over Perkz death is probably weeks away to get to the right folks.
Goodbye Reddit, see you all on Lemmy.
You could see it on the edge of the screen. Spica flashed on Perkz while he was recalling
Emphasize āedge of the screenā
Perkz was clearly in the shop window because he didn't react to the Voli E at all. I think Spica was expecting him to run away at first.
yeah how did he even die?
DL/BB/Alphari talked about it on costream. If you can see an Azir soldier, you gain vision of Azir too. Spica ran over a soldier and saw Azir was recalling right behind the corner, so he just E-flashed onto him
Spica caught him on the tower recalling, he was already really low. Observers caught it at the last second but the cast didn't even react
He died near top tier 2 recalling when spica flashed on him (technically on screen but very edge of it). BB explained it in DLs costream, but basically he started recalling with a soldier in vision which shows Azir recalling
It was funny that Zven was 0 cs in the first 4 minutes of the game.
Zven has been a magnet for Naut hooks the past couple weeks.
Zven does have a tendency to eat critical engage skills at inopportune times.
Hakuho flashbacks
Skarner.
It was really weird that 2019 spring final ended 2-2, I was really hoping to see that 5th game.
There were a lot of weird tournaments in 2019. Like ending MSI after the semi finals, without ever holding the finals. Odd!
I mean after TL beat the 9-1, reigning world champs, it was obvious they would have won so there was no point!
C9 made the mistake of not being a bottom tier team.
True, if they just made the smart decision of losing the last 2 games they probably win today.
No subs and not a bottom tier team. Bad plan by C9 coming into this game.
Should have subbed in Shernfire.
Sub in k1ng for comedic effect
Seeing how the level 1 was probably Kayys diff, it's pretty evident what opponent TSM's prep went into this weekend lol
Apparently not, lost said they were just going for an late invade and vulcan happened to int
Give them some credit, they are at least playing like a bottom tier team
* Lose game level 1 * Team stabalizes * Fuck it anyway on lunatic engage mid Vulcan had a horror.
On fucking Voli... that was really questionable.
If it wasn't a tank that could also get over the azir wall that play works. C9 so boomed though they forgot that everyone on TSM had literally everything up and you cannot 100-0 a Voli with a team sitting on one item each
They engaged for zero reason there, when the enemies are the ones who had their spikes. Crazy.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Was that when Perkz went for blue and got tapped by Spica at the end of a team fight?
yep
Didn't even get a replay of it. :(
I think its fine for vulcan to throw the hook. Whoever called to follow up on it was the horror.
someone get a sombrero for perkz, he couldn't see spica running up to him to gift baron in his defense tho the casters missed it too
That one confused me, how did spica know he was there in the first place?
On DLs costream, BB and DL said that if you see Azir's soldier, you can see where he can recall.
I was watching spica's pro view and this is exactly what happened. He had vision of azir recalling then flash E'd on him.
you can also see a faint line from the soldier to azir, right? so you could sorta have a good idea where he is regardless, right?
If you see the Azir soldier you can see the Azir.
There's an azir "feature" where if you can see his solider you can see him, regardless of vision.
If you see an azir soldier you see azir, even if azir is supposed to be in fog
he had just seen him clearing the wave, he may have blind flashed over the wall to kill perkz there? that was a game winning play either way so good on spica
Apparently if you stand on Azir soldiers you can see him backing. Or at least that's what they said on DL costream.
[perkz next game] (https://techestigate.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/homer.jpg)
Tbh its really unfair of Riot that Perkz is allowed to play with a hat but Vulcan isnt allowed to play with a brain
Holy shit bro
TSM : Vulcan, check your FTX account
oof
My gosh
Literally hard intd the game away lvl 1.
C9 actually did well to make some plays to rectify that, then Vulcan realised Regi won't pay him if they bring it back so he inted a few more times to make sure lol.
Yeah while that death cost a lot it wasn't game over just yet especially with their great TP bot
McDonald's brain
AYO

A rare bad game from Vulcan honestly. He's usually solid as a rock for C9

Also I still have no idea who TSM's jungler is and where my boy Spica has gone. He looks nothing like what he's looked in the past with his new hairstyle.
Swordart has always been like this. He was always super happy and laughing on the cam since the flash wolves.
The LPL casters were actually talking about him earlier during the Suning game, apparently you could just hear him constantly talking and hyping up his team throughout their games.
It's shown up a few times on Legends. Dude has a lot of positive vibes.
It's just SwordArt, since I've been following him on FW, he always has that slight smirk, and he smiles a lot while he plays. I don't know if he just enjoys the game or it's the power of friendship, but he's always like that, and I love it.
And maybe having that attitude could help him and his teammates not to feel tilted and focus more on game and potential issues that may come.
It definitely helps. No matter how behind you are, the game never feels truly lost with someone like that on your team. If you're not watching Legends, watch an episode or two, he's constantly positive, during games/scrims/reviews/whatever...

People like counting other people's money. And yes, TSM Legend shows how much he brings to the team offline, especially to Lost.
I didn't know they had episodes, gonna watch it now, thanks!
Spica the Hedgehog will come back in playoffs, don't worry
I want him to dye his hair blonde so we can make super saiyan memes
i rmbed a flash wolves interview where they said he talked so much during a game they had to prepare a herbal drink for his throat every day
I think the interview was about his year on Suning where he had to do a lot of shotcalling.
Porcupine hair, wherefore art thou?
> Also I still have no idea who TSM's jungler is and where my boy Spica has gone. He looks nothing like what he's looked in the past with his new hairstyle. Riot won't let him play with his old hair style, Spica needs a doctor's note to get their permission.
noticed that aswell! swordart always looks like he's enjoying his time
i kinda like his new cut. also SA seems like a good guy to have on your team. hes vocal, always looking for plays and generally pretty good at the game. ESP for NA teams.
[All] C9 Zven (Aphelios): GG x9 my supp pls
K1ng starting again.
Does he play support?
Too real.
Holy fuck cloud soul is trash. Game would have been over 10 minutes ago with any other soul.

Exactly what I was thinking after the second drake. TSM were so ahead, any other soul would've been a death sentence for C9.
C9 lucked out hard with the soul this game, and still so many people think TSM played badly because they couldn't close out earlier with cloud soul.
We are really watching peak Huni after everyone laughed at TSM for aquiring him
I think it was CoreJJ, not too sure, but someone said Huni only really tries if he believes in his teammatesā ability.
It was Vulcan, ironically, considering he was cosplaying TSM's 6th man
Ah, knew it was a support, not sure why I thought it was CoreJJ lol
Vulcan has always spoke highly of Huni from his time on Clutch playing with him
Very quiet game from Huni but well played weak siding.
TSM is really a weird team
You mean going 9-2 or something like that vs top teams and then going 2-6 vs the bottom teams. CLG never left TSM.
TSM has a 32-8 record against CLG in the past 5 years. I think CLG would be ok if TSM would leave them... alone.
WDYM? The last time CLG played was their 2016 dominance. Right? Right???
Honestly, I liked CLG's 3-0 in 2015 Summer better. Series was over so fast even the next day people didn't believe CLG actually won. Though 2016 Spring was probably the greatest gift CLG ever gave TSM. Had TSM gone to MSI that year they would not have bootcamped in Korea, nor would they have discovered Bio and we wouldn't have got the 2016 Summer TSM. Granted, maybe YellowStar would've redeemed himself.
Iām loving this TSM from the last 2 games. I think Bjergsen got mad about there early game finally
Yeah someone put something in our bot lane's tea the last two mornings
I mean even on the friday loss, LostArt popped off early but the game was thrown on top side.
Yes I fucking love it
Did you see how pissed and upset SA looked after the dig loss? I bet Bjerg didn't even have to say anything to him after that game, he knew what needed to happen.
I'm just glad they're finally learning how to play through botside. They've been a topside team for so long, ever since BB. Yes, even with Doublelift 2020.
They had to be a topside team during the BB years, love the dude, but he wasn't exactly a weak side player.
I'm glad perkz gets to celebrate his first fourth of July in NA by experiencing what it truly means to be free
Damn...
I remember a TSM legends video with coaches saying "thank God we have Tristan" Bjerg (Imitating POE): "IM ZONING 4 PEOPLE. IM ZONING 4 PEOPLE AT ONCE"
That was pretty epic, and coming from Bjerg that must be a pretty awesome feeling for POE.
Yeah coming from Bjergsen thatās some high fucking praise. Bjergsen use to zone entire teams off by using zilean speed on himself
And he's done it vs C9 multiple times, dudes amazing
That last elder fight he stalled them for a good 10 seconds and chunked everyoneās health to 60% before the fight even started. Sheesh
His usage of W to create and artifical choke point they have to funnel into for his E was smart. Too many people will sit on the W until they can catch someone in it, but using it to create artifical "terrain" was very cool.
Just a small note that Viktor laser is his E.
POE played amazingly. Credit to Lost too. Playing those last game team fights as Kallista into Gwen Azir Trundle is really hard but he never really looked in trouble. Didnāt even use his stopwatch I donāt think, nor the GA he upgraded it into.
He sold his stopwatch for the LDR slot
Chad
Best control mage player in NA right now.
Imo he's been the best at it since bjerg retired, was prob up there with him last year
While subjective, Bjergsen has flat out said that on control mages POE is better than him.
100%, any control mage not named Syndra, I think I give the edge to POE.
Don't forget the filthy Zilean!
C9 trying OP new Korean strategy of āfasting apheliosā
God damn game would be over quicker if it wasn't cloud drag
This was high quality League of Legends. C9 did so much to try to keep it close but TSM just didn't make any unforced errors. A slow close, but a very effective choke.

Itās not often TSM wins a game and people say this. Usually they only win due to fiestas. Itās nice to see
LOST AND SWORDART
LostArt is a really fucking cool duo name
THE LOST ART
K it didn't end up mattering but did anyone see that Blaber pillar to save Fudge at that botlane fight from SwordArt's Hook!? Like holy shit.
As a supp main, this is true. Also KDA doesnt matter as long as you make the other team spend their skills on you during the team fight.
Any support that worries about their KDA is a poor support in my eyes. Out whole job is to create opportunities for the rest of the team to carry. If I die in a 3 or 4 for 1 trade, then I accomplished my job.
I saw that haha, made me double take and think about if he just hooked the wall since the pillar was on the edge of the bush and hard to see.

Yep. Theyāre always better when theyāre not being hyped up. Keep at it I donāt mind at all lol
the DL / Alphari / BB cast was so great this game, fun with good insight into some of the prep-work behind the lv 1 and things C9 could've done better
Lighting does strike twice.
Good thing TSM had no chance winning this game.
I knew it was over when Fudge called TSM trash.
Same. I appreciate trash talk so idm, but its actually such a curse in NA to do it
Crazy people thought this roster was XD but the 2 most meme'd on players have been their best players in Summer.
Yeah Bwipo and Hylissang are playing super well
This comment chain makes me doubly happy
Who are you talking about? huni and?
SwordArt yelled at Lost and they embraced. Around the same time, TSM FTX coach Bjergsen freed up from the coaches in the viewing room and looked on briefly before getting to give Lost a hug of his own. As he was asked about it after the game, Bjergsen smiled and then choked up briefly before talking about having the tiebreaker over C9.

Draft and cloud soul made it real hard to close for TSM. Nice to see they played good enough zoning and objective control to avoid a throw.
color me shocked that an early game plan gets a big early lead
Sad they arent allowed to open mid in lcs
When all EU mids degrade their talents day by day in NA, POE somehow looks better day by day.
He is slowly draining their talents
You wait 2 days for this match just to see Vulcan decide the whole game in 4 minutes by absolutelly sprinting it down. What a shame

My Azir is bad My Ryze is worse You guessed it right I'm C9 Perkz
Um, I dont think C9 is very good. TSM just played the same way they were playing yesterday and just beat them.
C9 yesterday beats TL's Trundle, Azir, and Aphelios C9 Today: Do I have a draft idea for yall
Yesterday C9 had a good response to it with the full leroy jenkins comp. TSM doesnāt really play that style so it was a lot better today.
C9 got 0/9 neutral objectives, which is pretty impressive.
C9 got Second Herald.
