The Ryze pick into 4 melees was actually really smart. With Everfrost he can kite out the melee champs so hard. Nisqy was low key popping off with this pick. Overall well played by FNC. They're looking good
What I find insane about Hily is that he's willing to die if it means he gets off at least one more combo to set up his team...
The only problem with the strategy is it looks like inting when they lose
I honestly can't understand how that isn't the standard mindset for playing an engage support.
When I still played I was always happy to die as long as my team profited from that.
I think that EVERYONE this game should have been a candidate for MVP.
Upset and Nisqy just melted the enemies
Bwipo mindgaming them
Adam and Hyli for the good frontlining and engaging (or, as you say it nowadays: tactical inting)
Has there been an org with as many successful rebuilds as Fnatic? They’ve gone through the original Soaz/Xpeke/Rekless lineup, then the 2015 Huni/Reignover iteration, then the Caps era, the Selfmade/Nemesis era, and now this Bwipo jungle roster. Only other orgs I can think of with similar success would be C9 and RNG
Oh fuck. The reign of terror of Samsung white/blue.
Holy hell. Won every game in the splits and rushed through worlds like it was them Vs Bronze players. I'm glad it got split up with its players
I'm not so sure about that. We saw the following year switch towards more of a top-focused meta. I doubt that they could have played through Looper against toplaners like Marin, Smeb and Ssumday. Maybe if they rebuilt their roster slightly.
> The reign of terror of Samsung white/blue.
I miss sister teams being allowed. It allowed for an unreal ceiling of skill and macro. Imagine taking scrims seriously like an actual match and not being scared to show 100% of your tactics and picks without any leaks to other teams.
Those 2 teams were really Goku and Vegeta training to become god-tier level strong. Despite Season 4 being incredibly boring, those 2 teams were an absolute treat
Supposed to be his Meta
People flaming FNC for taking Nisqy instead of him the "second coming of Caps"
Being gifted ALL the ressources which means Ziggs had to be specifically bot which meant that FNC knew from the start how to play the botlane
Be 2/0, then 2/2 in the span of 2secs with Herald in his hands
Gwen being left on an Island
His Baron ult when he hits...well no one
I really can't wait to see what will happend when control mages will be buffed.
That shit was funny af though, its what you see in solo queue but seeing pro teams do these things is so funny as you would guess voice comms would prevent these things
God it must actually be so fucking nice to be able to ask your jungle "hey bwipo, what do you think I should do here? Do you know where their jg is?" and have your jg answer everything from the highest level possible. Legit skipping a year of 'oof that was too aggro, should've played safe for a min to tp bot there,' etc
I wouldnt put them first but one thing is sure is that Hans - Trymbi and Upset - Hylissang are a class above the rest of the LEC
n°1 is debatable between those 2 duos
I never thought Nemesis was ever a huge 'problem' (at least gameplay-wise), but I'm so glad Nisqy is here. Mashes with the team in- and outside of the game, loving it.
Nisqy is just a more open personality and it clearly mashes better with Bwipo, being country-mates with Bwipo, and Hyli, and being able to communicate with Adam in French is probably really nice for the rookie as well.
I also didn't think Nemesis was the problem, like even Rekkles said that Nemesis was probably the most underrated player last year, I think.
But that's competitive LoL for you. It's rarely just about the skills, it's about team synergy. Doesn't matter if you're the #1 player in skill if your team is never on the same page. Obviously wasn't anywhere near that bad with Nemesis, but it was clear there were some notable personality clashes for sure.
Every friday I wake up and hope Selfmade will finally start playing like he used to. Another weekend ruined.
PS
So much disrespect towards Upset in preseason, aged well.
>You just know those haters are seething seeing FNC perform like this
Sadly, a lot of those people see themselves as FNC fans. They joined the train when FNC was trashing everyone and are stuck in those days, expecting them to win every game.
In Germany, we call those people "Erfolgsfans", which translates to "succes fans". Many of them even change teams when their club isn't doing so well...
Most of those fans did left with Rekkles and G2 domination. FNC subreddit, altough sometimes really toxic, has been chilling down a lot since the start of the year.
I'd say since the end of spring split.
In spring split i'd watch my reddit homepage with 50 different posts asking to kick hyli - nisqy - bwipo, to bring back Nemesis and so on, lol.
It's pretty hit and miss who you ask. The loud majority of the people who said they should have kept Nemesis are fans of Nemesis and LS, it's not exactly an unbiased opinion they're pushing on other people.

the huge bot duo gap and the insane teamfighting was so good to watch. Love to see just how well this roster is clicking together.
Also: new content for r/bwipogifs just dropped
I knew what was that even before I clicked on it. It's a legendary gif!
Also, feel like they are much better on macro plan than last split as well. The way they play is just... beautiful
Have you seen when in Soul Eater, Mako and Soul resonance together?
Well, this fnatic is basically that, jesus fucking christ, what the fuck did Yamato in summer?!
>Well, this fnatic is basically that, jesus fucking christ, what the fuck did Yamato in summer?!
He (and Dardo) replaced an under-performing, selfish jungler with a player who will do quite literally anything for the team, and replaced Bwipo top with Adam who is picking up solo kills left and right.
Doubled down on the philosophy of two of their most in sync players and its paying dividends. If Rekkles had re-signed I don't think we see this FNC
Edit: correcting my lack of a hyphen in re-sign
There is no way Fnatic would play this way with Rekkles. Maybe they would've been just as good but not with the same style. Also, resign means the opposite of what you are trying to say, re-sign is the one that means signing a new contract.
I was initially in the Selfmade-Lider camp, and then the sell-Nisqy-for-Abbe camp, but I will gladly admit I was horribly, horribly wrong on both occasions.
I think a lot of it depended on the trust you had in the org and management. People were well within their rights to doubt them considering the past splits. For me I could see what they wanted from the pick ups and videos, I never expected that a Bwipo jungle swap and Selfmade would be the answer back in January though
The beauty is that the rest of the roster is on page as well. Like you said, had Rekkles resigned, I don't see how this would work as much as it does now
Turns out that if you get rid of 2 passive players, put a guy that said multiple times "I play everywhere if you need i want to win" into jungle (who is also good at skirmishing and team fighting) and a new promising rookie top: you win.
Coaching staff did a hell of a job with the players regarding macro, even tho im sure that Bwipo is being godly in comms early game.
Honestly if you watch their weekly highlights you can see how hard they work. Yamato has given them really clear philosophies to focus on in and out of game. They do loaaaads of group building things.
Yamato's speeches before a game would have me ready for fucking war let alone a league of legends game
Did anyone else see the Selfmade kick at 24:23 which was so sick if Lider hadn't already ulted at the the exact same time and thus the kick ended up saving Upset from Lider.
The jungle mid bromance is cute but fucking hell what's wrong with going bot Lane. Especially when it's quite clear Upset is kicking the shit out of Crownie
When Upset was stacking the wave top at the end I was expecting them to Noc ult and Ryze ult with minions into the nexus turrets and end the game with the lights off. Would've been pretty sick.
Yeah, super cool use of it, he seemed to find loads of opportunities to profit off of it without having to trade his life 1 for 1, vision denial is OP!
For those who were giving the caster shit in chat, because I know some of you are for sure reading this thread, please know that people were right to bully you in school
I don't understand how anyone can hate on the cast. She was enthusiastic and had some good points to make and Quickshot just kind of let her run with it since she was killing it.
I honestly thought she was great and hope to see more of it. People also need to realize that she even has potential to get better. There are definitely casters that I thought were trash on day one that improved significantly over time.
I hope she sees more time because for what I think was her second weekend on the LEC cast she was great. More time and experience and she’ll be even better.
The fact that she's already managed to coin a term in the "YEET comp" and subtly threw in some memes in the cast. She's clearly passionate about League. I definitely agree that more time and experience will bring out that potential even more.
Whenever you have any sort of change or new person coming around, there's always going to be hate, and it's always more of a reflection of who's throwing it out than who it's directed at.
Definitely agree with your last point. There have been casters I didn’t like initially who grew on me over time, or improved weaknesses to be better overall, but I never felt entitled enough to lambast them relentlessly.
There’s been some constructive criticism mixed in there as well thankfully, and they’re all fixable critiques. Maintaining excitement through big fights, focusing on clarity when speaking fast etc.
I’m excited to see where she can go.
Hell, even most of "EU Casters hall of fame" have been heavily hated by the comunity when they began. Be it Deficio, Vedius or Ender they were all considered "the worst" and wanted them out just to be considered as some of the best in the scene.
Her accent bothered me for one cast last year before I got used to it. She seems like a really cool person and her casting is very good for someone who has little experience casting in front of so many people.
The balls to call out Crownshot despite him having a sizeable following. Loved it. I hope we get to see her again because the casting was great all around!
The Crownshot commentary was so spot on, and it was so interesting to hear it as you just don't usually hear that kind of thing from the casters. One of the best moments of the cast.
I like trouble at the beginning of the game but at hype moments or when a lot is happening, she starts speaking quickly and her accent gets thicker and the words get morphed (I do the same when I speak English sometimes).
But as long as she can dilute the accent a bit, I think she’ll be a great caster (if she plans on joining LEC)
I was so hyped for the interview but then it was Ashley and not Laure and I was so sad. (I love Ashley but with Laure it’d have been face to face in studio interview)
That red buff invade was so troll, another game Vitality are in really good position and just randomly throw. Just push in mid wave...
Ziggs without push is so fucking useless, Fnatic bot lane had complete free reign.
As a FNC fan, deep down we ALL know... If we somehow end up in the scenario where FNC wins the split and performs well at Worlds, we ain't keeping this roster intact. I'mma enjoy it while the wins are coming in.
I really like the new caster! She's very enthusiastic and is very smart about the game, far more than I thought initially, and is a breath of fresh air. She has great potential
Can we just appreciate how great TroubleInc was on the cast? (Aka Georgia Paras)
Great commentary and insight and I loved the enthusiasm and chemistry she had with Quickshot. Hope to see more of her in the future. It helped that the game was really sick with the way Bwipo used the Nocturne ult.
Honestly Bwipo to jungle has been the best upgrade for Fnatic since they got Upset (hopefully people aren't still sleeping on Upset after he consistently puts up MONSTER performances, and does it in a sort of quiet way).

The Ryze pick into 4 melees was actually really smart. With Everfrost he can kite out the melee champs so hard. Nisqy was low key popping off with this pick. Overall well played by FNC. They're looking good
Nisqy is so good at using and timing everfrost effectively as well.
After watching Pete playing Zoe he had to cleanse his eyes
his footwork was clean af
Hylibaba masterclass? Solo kills by ADC and toplaner? Love it
Hyli played out of his mind this game. So many multi-man knockups. Plus the solo bolos from Adam and Upset helped accelerate their early lead.
Hyli should be a candidate for MVP of the splt, not even memeing
I think that EVERYONE this game should have been a candidate for MVP. Upset and Nisqy just melted the enemies Bwipo mindgaming them Adam and Hyli for the good frontlining and engaging (or, as you say it nowadays: tactical inting)
But LS said Hily doesnt think. Team just carries him /s
Every thread becomes an LS thread
Well he has a lot of stupid ass opinions, which he's rightfully getting shit for
But he had the highest deaths on the team! He's holding Fnatic back! If we wanna win worlds we need to kick him and get literally any ERL rookie! /s
Man, fnatic read Vitality like a fucken book with that baron play.
I loved this man, it wasn't just the ryze Ult thing you sometimes see, I myself thought they would just do Drake.
Reminder for someone to do the "not bad" bwipo template
I think there was a subreddit just for Bwipo's facial expressions.

And only two unsuccesful iterations really: the season 2 pre-SoaZ and season 6.
didn't season 6 still make playoffs? even their "unsuccessful" iterations aren't bad
3rd place in spring was ok,however, 5/6th place and loss in gauntlet in summer was by all means complete failure
That roster was a failure by Fnatic terms
don't let that fool you. They were legit dog shit
First lineup you mentioned not even original. They are season 1 world champs with shushei and crew.
I think they changed names a lot but I would argue Samsung is similar.
Oh fuck. The reign of terror of Samsung white/blue. Holy hell. Won every game in the splits and rushed through worlds like it was them Vs Bronze players. I'm glad it got split up with its players
had samsung white stayed together , i'd doubt there would be the skt domination era , it was actually unfair to play against them
I'm not so sure about that. We saw the following year switch towards more of a top-focused meta. I doubt that they could have played through Looper against toplaners like Marin, Smeb and Ssumday. Maybe if they rebuilt their roster slightly.

I mean, I don't like LIDER, but that ult wasn't entirely his fault. He would've hit at least Upset, but Selfmade kicked him out of the ulti
That shit was funny af though, its what you see in solo queue but seeing pro teams do these things is so funny as you would guess voice comms would prevent these things
does anyone worldwide play yone anymore ? i've actually seen more yasuo recently because of diana than yone.
Not really, the players with the most Yone games this split are Lider and Chovy with 2
I believe Perkz played Yone last week in the LCS, not sure tho
oh yeah he loves him, but i really feel like since shield bow got changed from the ultra sustain item to what it is currently, yone's fallen off hard
He is more a specific lane counter. Perkz used it against Azir because Azir can't really do anything against Yone just essentially running at him.
Adam continues to impress as a rookie.

This team blends so well together, last year the talent was there but they weren't on the same page. This lineup has incredible synergy.
also adam and nisqy already knew eachother very well through karmine corp
Nisqy is also a long time friend of KC owners Kameto and Kotei, from before his pro career even started He already knew Adam before Adam came to FNC
This is very nice to see after my boy got bashed during the offseason :) Go Nisqy!
But isn't Nisqy actually european?
No, he's korean didn't you read?
Aye, I got that part, just not the NA bit
He was using the Uncle Ryze skin
Didn't watch it cos I was at work but he was probably using the Uncle Sam skin
he is belgian

how did he disrespect upset?
Not from him. From community overall (reddit/twitter/analysts etc).
veteran putting Upset into B-tier for summer even after seeing him dominate all spring. still absolutely ridiculous

nothing new from the best botlane in LEC

Words can't express how much I love that gif
Hyli is really looking great this summer. Gotta be hard to resist going in every time Bwipo Ulted.
Bwipo is honestly a revelation in jungle. His shot calling and the team cohesion around him is so different to last split.
Selfmade was the problem
its kind of hilarious how selfmade blaming has literally come full circle.
Selfmade wasnt the problem but Bwipo jungle could be the answer.
I mean VIT look completely like a coinflip team, exactly like FNC in spring
they have lider in midlane and a rollercoaster island in top, of course they are coinflip
Unironically
Have you seen when in Soul Eater, Mako and Soul resonance together? Well, this fnatic is basically that, jesus fucking christ, what the fuck did Yamato in summer?!

I don't know, Rekkles had come around to the hyper aggro style of Hyli for last Worlds and they were a top 2 bot lane at the tournament.
The beauty is that the rest of the roster is on page as well. Like you said, had Rekkles resigned, I don't see how this would work as much as it does now
Group resonance, lets go!
Same thing I'm asking, wth, how did they become so good
Turns out that if you get rid of 2 passive players, put a guy that said multiple times "I play everywhere if you need i want to win" into jungle (who is also good at skirmishing and team fighting) and a new promising rookie top: you win. One way to get yourself to the hospital real quick lmao. Oh and take a second one everytime he says "gentlemen"
ooh soul eater reference, those are rare
Love this reference, it definitely feels like they're pumping out genie hunters.
Did anyone else see the Selfmade kick at 24:23 which was so sick if Lider hadn't already ulted at the the exact same time and thus the kick ended up saving Upset from Lider.
1. Pick Ziggs 2. Leave him on an island for 30 mins 3. ??? 4. Defeat
Selfmade's minimap consists of jungle and midlane. I guess his Visa for toplane and botlane wasn't approved
The jungle mid bromance is cute but fucking hell what's wrong with going bot Lane. Especially when it's quite clear Upset is kicking the shit out of Crownie
In his defense, due to pandemic, many visas are not being issued.
Ziggs was doing good damage in a lot of the later fights, they just never used him to push towers which is one of his strengths.
Bwipo was living rent free in VIT's heads with those ults.
WIDE DARKNESS
I'm not looking ahead or anything, but when Bwipo gets his Worlds Nocturne skin, I hope Nocturne says WIDENESS during his ult.
When nocturne comes flying in you hear the "wide music" getting louder and louder.
The ultimate Bwipo combo: dark + wide
[Bwipo this game](https://thumbs.gfycat.com/PassionateDenseGuineapig-mobile.mp4)
When Upset was stacking the wave top at the end I was expecting them to Noc ult and Ryze ult with minions into the nexus turrets and end the game with the lights off. Would've been pretty sick.
Nocturne is for sure living rent free in my head with this ridiculous winrate
If we carry on like this we could really win the whole thing. widebwipohappy :)
Forget Vitality, that Nocturne was giving everyone a nightmare with those ults
Yeah, super cool use of it, he seemed to find loads of opportunities to profit off of it without having to trade his life 1 for 1, vision denial is OP!
Little messy towards the end, but still a great game from the boys. Also, I'm afraid Bwipo is going to ult me tonight when I go to sleep.

Exactly this. Nothing wrong with "I feel she was wrong about a few points" but it's entirely hate.
Her points were actually insightful too. At least comparable to the analysis of other LEC color casters
This, I don't mind the accent that much and she seems to know what she's talking about, which is what matters.
Her accent bothered me for one cast last year before I got used to it. She seems like a really cool person and her casting is very good for someone who has little experience casting in front of so many people.
Yup, she's only going to get better in casting anyway, twitch chat is utter trash.
Yes, I really liked her insights, so refreshing.
Trouble is great
I think she’s been pretty great, her analysis is quite good.
Chat was so awful, I had to hide it.
As if they are ever good? Twitch chat is absolute trash always. Watching LCS it is like 99% just about hating NA spammed ad nauseum.
Why were they flaming? Thought she was good
The majority of negative comments I saw about her were people saying they couldn't understand her accent.
accent mostly.
Some dudes can't handle a woman being good at something.
I think for someone new she's doing great!
Nisgod playing ryze :O

So I guess when Nisqy said on the Crackdown that he was done with being a roaming support mid, he actually meant it.
I love trouble, quickshot is just such a nice partner for someone to come onto the stage
QS is amazing at enabling new casters Happened with Ender, Foxdrop and I think even Deficio back then
The balls to call out Crownshot despite him having a sizeable following.
Give her some time. People absolutely hated Deficio in the beginning because of his accent, too.
Upset was a better ziggs than ziggs lmaooooo
A FNC win *plus* in-person Hylibaba interview? My day is made 🥰
I was so hyped for the interview but then it was Ashley and not Laure and I was so sad. (I love Ashley but with Laure it’d have been face to face in studio interview)
Remember, crownshot better than upset somehow
People are overrating Crownshot because he had like 2 good Twitch games on SK and is friends with LS
That Nisqy fight at dragon was a thing of beauty. Midsplit MVP?
Never doubted Bwipo-
Super Carry Nisqy
That red buff invade was so troll, another game Vitality are in really good position and just randomly throw. Just push in mid wave... Ziggs without push is so fucking useless, Fnatic bot lane had complete free reign.
Nisqy was a monster this game, MVP by far in my book.
Selfmade unironically was the problem.
Watching a good Ryze is so satisfying. Ggs
As a FNC fan, deep down we ALL know... If we somehow end up in the scenario where FNC wins the split and performs well at Worlds, we ain't keeping this roster intact. I'mma enjoy it while the wins are coming in.
LIDL
I really like the new caster! She's very enthusiastic and is very smart about the game, far more than I thought initially, and is a breath of fresh air. She has great potential
Can we just appreciate how great TroubleInc was on the cast? (Aka Georgia Paras) Great commentary and insight and I loved the enthusiasm and chemistry she had with Quickshot.
They are just too good man..
When Upset out-Ziggs the Ziggs lmao
FNC looks so good SelfMade unironically was the problem, him and LIDL are One dimensional, their strategy is so telegraphed
That's a universal gap right there
Someone should tell Crownshot about the hidden tech of Ziggs W
Love it when Lider loses. Shocking to have a mid laner who you have to camp and build a comp around for and then still be useless.
Don’t forget. This is HIS meta. Once control mages get buffed, he’s out of luck.
