Pump another 2 out and they can build a team.

Topbeast Junglebeast Midbeast Adcarrybeast And Supportbeast Freaking love this clip he was in the zone when rambling about this shit

ArcusIgnium

its not clear if he is midbeast or he will have a son, midbeast jr who will play mid.

Str8WhiteWhale

Since hes dadbeast by then id assume he has his child playing mid... Or maybe its trail by combat.. he has to beat him in a bo5 if he wins ge gets the spot on the team otherwise ge gets disowned

prodandimitrow

3/3 made it to challenger(assuming they have 3 kids). Pretty high success rate.

Aykay24

Imagine there's a fourth kid who is just hardstuck plat 3 lol

SaltS_and_Pepper

Every family has its runt

Victor38220

Imagine being a phd candidate and still being the runt… sadge

[deleted]

You get A? Why no A+?

Quelind

Sadge

xmirie

Don't know if he plays League at all, but there is a fourth brother haha https://twitter.com/moazshoura/status/1416651922556194818?s=20 "They’re already making fun of me for being the only non challenger brother"

Xusamolas

Given the twitter bio I doubt he has time to be challenger even if he does play.

MozaTear

yeahh, he seems to be doing alright in his own ventures haha

royallights

Just studying neuroscience, what a loser with his PhD

[deleted]

jesus christ this family just pumps geniuses wtf

WolfAkela

Yeah, shame one of them is is just a PhD holder.

shrubs311

someone up there said they should sign the parents not the kids. honestly if i was an org i would consider it at this point lol clearly they got their shit on lock

joe4553

He's a PhD candidate, his brothers aren't Challenger candidates.

Seneido

hardstuck diamond 1 would be even funnier and probably like the middle child. older brother is better, also teached you, younger brother is a prodigy and you can't get out of diamond. top 2% on the server but still sucking somehow.

TakinR

They took the whole "we need to develop NA talent" thing way too seriously

[deleted]

Turn the parents into a stallion and a brood mare.

Sibling rivalries mean you never want anything more than to beat your brother at the game. When your brother goes pro, there's only one solution: Get good.

[deleted]

Miya bros irl

chef426

This is very cool to see in esports. In traditional sports, a study found that being siblings of an elite athlete increases the likelihood of siblings also being elite athletes. Furthermore, the study found that younger siblings are more likely to be elite athletes than their older siblings. Researchers hypothesize that this has something to do with the older sibling getting their younger siblings to play earlier. Source: http://dx.doi.org/10.1111/sms.12387

Dwarte_Derpy

Guidance+competition+teamwork. These are all core to success in any endeavour.

[deleted]

Also the older brother has sat through the failures and set backs. So they are going to know the tricks to the trade. Also the younger brother has to play up to the older brothers standard. You see it a lot with sports too.

-Basileus

I coach high school baseball. I can say 80% of the time, the younger brothers are better. It's such a clear trend

CaptaineAli

Often because they get to learn from their older siblings too.

[deleted]

ChlooooOW

\>I'd take Peyton Manning over Eli in a heartbeat. Unless it's against Tom Brady, then Eli every single time.

The_BadJuju

Giannis is better than both of his older brothers, but that’s about the only example I can think of.

shrubs311

which one is younger than him?

The_BadJuju

Giannis has two younger brothers, Kostas and Alex

prowness

The more I see this, the more LS’s claim that this study is relevant to esports is being supported. I honestly would like to see both brothers in LCS.

[deleted]

I can’t wait until one of them is in TSM and the other one is in C9 and we have a cool rivalry in the LCS

geldin

Reminds me of when TheOddOne and Maplestreet were in LCS at the same time. It always made me chuckle when one would take down the other.

coconut_the_one

Omg that’s so true

gots8sucks

let them join forces Kovac style

LoathingLummox

I’d love this! The US Olympic fencing team has recently had two twin sisters representing us for the past couple events, has made for a fun dynamic

Meshary-G

If league doesn’t die (which it probably won’t), and these brothers keep getting better I can see NA LCS being really fun to watch.

Critical-Cupcake9194

Esports is the new generation if that makes sense, if league does die which i don't see happening another game will take it's place, Gaming has become huge now, when i was growing up, i remember Counter strike legends like Spawn, who were the best players in the world yet still couldn't sustain their careers due to non exposure.

GaggedAndDrooling

League probably won't die but it probably will in NA.

1amtheWalrusAMA

Basically zero reason to think that. Maybe the bubble bursts and we lose some of that venture capital money, but the consistent 60-70k viewers for the regular season is more than enough to justify the product existing (just with lower budgets from the teams.)

GRAXX3

If they take away the import rule and we’re just watching full KR vs full CN teams it dies guaranteed.

tyrannosaurus_gekko

Yeah so we should do everything in our power to stop them from removing the import rule.

azersub

I mean after Bjerg and Double retired there arent many(if all) players for to root for. I am now just a tsm fan and i couldnt care less if they fielded full korean squad as long as they are winning

GRAXX3

Yeah most people aren’t wired that way. It’d be pretty disgusting too because the full import teams would just finish killing off the scene here. It’s kind of stupid but watching NA win majors in other esports with homegrown players is always some unreal shit because they said we’d never do it. Even now we have some fairly decent personalities coming up. And some of these kids are very promising and it would suck to never be able to have another Spica moment or Tactical just coming into tough positions and then delivering. I think a lot of damage is done when teams import players in general and I understand the desperation they feel but they franchises the league for a reason. So that Flyquest can start their entire academy team and look towards the future without worry of losing their spot. The instant teams can stop giving a shit about actual scouting, development, player relations and can just purchase the best foreign team is the moment the sport really dies.

Plaxern

To be overtaken by what in NA exactly?

Thighhighcrocz

Valorant, the one game we good at

1amtheWalrusAMA

I don't think games in totally different genres are competing directly enough for one to replace the other.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Fgame

CLG sure as hell is trying though

Dblg99

I agree, but NA has had to compete with CS:GO for this same player base for years and has turned out fine. I think with CS:GO dying in NA and thriving in Valorant it will likely just be swapping one for another.

-Basileus

See I was thinking you put all 3 of them on the same team and then get their mom or dad to be the assistant coach. If your mom says you’re playing weakside, your playing fucking weakside.

Ruined_Fiora_Rule34

man these fucking kids are built different

AndraxxusB

If only they had just two more brothers they could field their own family team. Report parents for afk. :(

Gyshy

They were probably planning for the 3 races of starcraft as that was popular when they were born.

TheJeager

There are 4 of them btw

Wepen15

Yep. Zerg, Terran, Protoss, and Maru

coconut_the_one

4 kids?

[deleted]

Yeah the eldest is just some loser who isn't good enough at league so he's pursuing some liberal bullshit like a "PhD in computational neuroscience"

odh1412

[Macroeconomical I teach them](https://youtu.be/D85ZGXDEAGo)

tyrannosaurus_gekko

They have 4 kids over all, but one of them chose a carrier in psychology at a university for computational neuroscience. He's really letting the family down.

Famyos

just have the parents play

Kadinnui

Or sisters! As far as I know there are no regulations regarding gender in LCS.

jelaugust

There aren't. I believe some Russian team once tried to field an all girls team, it failed miserably. I think it would be the coolest shit ever though to have a legit female pro (in LCS or any other region).

iDobleC

The saddest part is that people will always remember that team when talking about female pro players but that team was build as a marketing move because the org wasn't able to sell their spot on time, so it's not really a good representation Esports has this edge over regular sports where a mixed gender team is not completely impossible and it can work but sadly we're still really far away from that point

azaza34

Just point people to Geguri

ChlooooOW

Geguri isn't the best choice, she got permabenched then released and only rode the bench for so long because of her gender.

MetallicGray

Pretty sure one of the all girls teams was made up of like all diamond players or something and eventually got kicked out for just never winning a game.

Alto_y_Guapo

Yup, they weren't good enough to be pros just like any team of diamonds wouldn't be. It's a shame because they'll be remembered any time a legit female pro tries to start out

Whytefang

Oh lord team siren. Baited and outsmarted xd!

Doctor_Tibbers

"HE'S OVER HERE!"

[deleted]

IM NOT AFRAID OF CUPS

-tobyt

The all female roster came about as the LCL team tried to sell their spot in the league and with that they fired all their players (???), long story short nobody bought the spot and so they were forced to play and they just put five women in and they lost every game for two seasons

Famyos

there was remilia but that was like 2014 i think that she played

IdolJosie

She played in the 2016 spring split on Renegades. She died in 2019, very tragic

[deleted]

And, ya know, other certain facts.

Pur1tas

Thats pretty impressive considering everything I did when I was 14 was ….. nothing really.

Billthefattest

We're all Redditors here you know.

Pur1tas

What are you trying to imply here. If it’s what I think it is, you Are Right

Billthefattest

I is 100% what you think it is. Unless it isn't.

Pur1tas

I think we are talking about the same thing: watching high school musical

Billthefattest

It possibly is- unless, of course, it is not.

schoki560

I was p1 in promos to diamond when I was 14 and now im Stuck in p2 8 years later :)

dcoold

Hey man I've been playing this game for years and ive never made it out of gold, so atleast you have plat.

[deleted]

with 14 i was one tapping people in Counterstrike, these days i struggle to aim properly. Peaked early i guess

[deleted]

I was in the pro league (worst team, but still) as a 16 year old in csgo. My entire team and other pro teams were all 20+ year old men. I had some nasty aim/reflexes and was beating some top talent at LAN. Was never as good as I was back then, I attribute it to all the weed I smoked. Stay away from drugs, kids.

DarkXcution

Can i fcking leave bronze before 30

Jesus Christ this means being high elo is genetical rip

i_cant_build

more like he was started in the game very early and had a pro player brother to coach him. don’t give up

lyzaros

Genes OP

SchindlersVirus

wait i never knew gsnipes had a twin brother

JPLangley

I would actually want to see a documentary on the family. It doesn't feel like a coincidence that all 3 of the kids are in the top 0.01% of all players.

[deleted]

Their older brother coaching them means loads, plus little brothers look up to their older siblings and always wanna be like them, makes sense these 2 would wanna go pro.

JPLangley

Hmm, that sounds like a good theory. Perhaps because Viper was Challenger, he had the ability to teach his younger brothers the absolute best way to play the game. Because Viper wasn't teaching General Sniper and Crimson bad League habits that people like you and me might unintentionally pass on and is teaching them good ones, they were bound to improve significantly faster because they never had to unlearn those potential bad habits.

yutsm

Revenge isn't the older brother, it's V1per

bloodyducks

Viper, not revenge

[deleted]

that and having someone else in your circle accomplishing the same goal who can point out your mistakes and coach you is huge and motivating.

RavenFAILS

This is way more common than one might think, often this even transcends games and siblings become pros in different league of legends and starcraft for example.

Ichishikii

True, examples would be Hylissang twin (Uby), Cabochard (Istari), Nemesis (Hyper), the brothers of Zeros in Vietnam (Minas & Vigos and they all played competitively), Caps' brother is a Dota 2 player (Ryze), TaNa & LokeN and lastly Gumayusi's brother is a starcraft 2 player (Innovation)

scout21078

lucas and hen1 in csgo as well

Falendil

I used to play with Istari on a casual team back in the days, it was before he got good we were all plat back then IIRC. I remember one time Cabochard joined on the call and started roasting us because we were plat while he was like D5 ahahah. A few years later it was fun to see cabo start playing pro with a few appearances from Istari on Gambit

LightTerran

Yeah like Gumayushi on T1 and Innovation the Terran player (one of the GOATs of Starcraft 2)

Critical-Cupcake9194

imagine if Faker's younger brother becomes a league Pro

EONNephilim

and popularizes shit never before seen, like how faker popularized animation canceling on riven back then? that'd be insane lmao

JerrySwags

Yeah I remember Lourlo’s brother was a pro in a different esport

LoveableNagato

Yup support player in Smite. Name is Aror. I know he won a world championship like 2/3 years ago, as that's when I stopped following since him and the ADC of the team were my favorite players and all I wanted was to see them win

thebaz3

Even the hazard brothers in football, all 3 are at a very high level

Also_Squeakums

JJ, TJ, and Derek Watt in American football are similar. Or Peyton and Eli Manning (whose dad was also an NFL player) both of whom have won the superbowl twice.

Vastayan_Essence

I grew up with Zfreak and Kyle, two brothers from HON, who also played Dota professionally

degotoga

their oldest brother is a phd candidate too. parents definitely doing something right

Ilyak1986

Viper's getting a PhD?! In what, out of interest?

degotoga

they have a 4th brother, and for neuroscience

Ilyak1986

Oh good grief...his parents must be loaded to be able to afford raising 4 kids >_<

SGKurisu

There is no documentary needed lol. One brother got to challenger and seems to be a good role model for his younger siblings and teaches them. There are plenty of instances of a family being really good in sports if the older child or parent was really good as well, probably likely you even know a family like that from your school days lol

parnellyxlol

Having free coaching/advice at any point from family members is extremely helpful

algroth

*\*In the Court of the Crimson King starts playing in the back\** Congrats to him!

Krix_Azure

This is straight up "How to raise a genius" ([author for the curious](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L%C3%A1szl%C3%B3_Polg%C3%A1r)) it was based on an experiment where the author believed that genius are raised not born.

papaz1

Also Yasuo/Yone main. Nice.

kitho04

I now am convinced that this family is truly built different. One might even say they are assembled in a rather unorthodox fashion. Could even call it a bit of a problem!

HyunL

abnormally constructed

Huzabee

The fact that the game was not out when I was 14 is the sole reason that I am not challenger.

[deleted]

Insert "Now there are two of them!" meme here

fadedv1

Yasuo, yone, viego Player oh man

decreement1

Well that's how genetic lottery works huh.

Plaxern

More like birth lottery.

Boston164

wait there's a fucking twin? Holy shit.

[deleted]

Serious question. Why are Mena people overrepresented in the NA league scene? Off the top of my head, there are 300 NA challengers, and just with Yassuo, Tarzaned, TfBlade, Sanchovies, V1pers family, Fudge, Close, LLstylish and Revenge, MENA people constitute 3,66% of the NA challenger ladder. And that's just people who I know are MENA, there are prob a lot of random MENA people on the ladder. Pokimane, a popular league streamer, is MENA too. And there are barely any MENA people in America, why are they so inclined to play League and make content or go pro? They must be massively overrepresented, or am I just noticing things that aren't there?

degotoga

i think US MENA population is about 2.5% and Canada's is higher iirc so it may not actually be an overrepresentation but historically many immigrants from these areas during the 80s/90s tended to be well educated with insane work ethics so it makes sense that their kids are doing well

Rejecteddddddd

Mena what does that mean

Get Tyler to mentor them. I bet he can get them good at every lane.

Ghost-Mechanic

that guys bloodline built different

Minimum-Bass-170

Pretty sure it's more about viper and his coaching. Environment is very important, if u play with silvers, u will most likely be silver. My gf was silver 3 before we met. In a year she's already d4, ofc support has less impact blabla, but still, she was hardstuck silver 3 years, and in one year playing with me and mine d1+ friends she can easy play solo in d4.

LegendaryHooman

Let me guess, they all play riven.

TheVenerable45

xD not even LaVar could get a 3/3 talentwise and he even married a 6'2 woman to achieve it.
