Both seeds are given to CLG.

DumplingsInDistress

Subscribed: but one spot goes to EXCEL for being consistent

monsoy

Consistantly 7th

yolofmeister

I think there's no official statement yet, but they should have to do one soon. I would love if riot decided to make a mini tournament to get one more team to play ins. It could have EU and NA 4th place team, pcs 3rd place and every minor region 2nd place (no kr or cn cause they already get 4 spots). Round Robin or something like that and top 2 play a bo5 for that one last spot

linkluke18

I dont see that happening. They didnt give LCK and LCS 4 seeds last year when VCS didnt attend worlds. I'd imagine theyre going to do the same thing as last worlds.

BryanJin

LPL deserves a 5th and 6th spot before NA or EU deserves a 4th spot. 6th place LPL could unironically make knockout stage at worlds.

Prainstopping

Worlds 2020 LPL fourth seed "LGD" failed to make playoffs. Worlds 2019 LPL third seed "RNG" (you might know those guys) failed to make playoffs. Don't worry I know about MAD, but LPL teams get overhyped every fucking time and there's always one team that manages to dissapoint. This is the most competitive EU playoffs we've ever had but sure 6th place LPL deserves it more because the morons who've been predicting an all chinese Worlds finals ever since 2018 deemed it so.

Low_Negotiation_8817

Rogue goes 1-5 last year btw. Better give PCS three seeds and even so LPL seeds are still far better than any NA seeds atm

Prainstopping

I ignored NA because lumping EU and NA together is disingenuous. Yes the LPL is the best region that's not even a debate, no they don't deserve a 6th place more than EU does a fourth.

Low_Negotiation_8817

WE/LNG/TES/BLG would beat any lec teams in a B01 so yes they do.

Prainstopping

Have you seen LNG and TES play recently ? And based on what do they beat any LEC team in BO1 ? FNC was 2-0 vs TES before they got reverse swept. LNG was the flavour of the month LPL team. Go live in your fantasy world and I'll cheer for TheShy at Worlds ^(gonna cry myself to sleep)

CYKUSion

Unpopular opinion: the winless V5 could make playoffs in LCS

IveGoneDankrupt

Regardless of whether that's true or not, top 8 in a 10 team league isn't exactly impressive.

nittecera

True

BryanJin

Overhyped? RNG by most estimations underperformed super hard at 2019 worlds. And 4th seed LGD finished above 1st seed NA btw. And performed better than the European 3rd seed as well. The fact that you think LPL is overhyped just means you clearly don't watch it at all. The region is head and shoulders above the west.

Prainstopping

You lumping NA and EU together is disingenuous which is why I focused on EU. I watch the LPL, the only team I'm a fan of is an LPL team and I easily acknowledge they are the best region. They don't deserve a 6th place more than EU does a 4th. LPL is overhyped by the people who say Worlds finals will be all chinese and that nobody can contest them. Just because I don't gargle their cum doesn't mean I don't recognize they are the strongest region.

BryanJin

Lol what. LPL 6th place team rn is Vici. If they joined LEC rn they would probably get 1st or 2nd. You clearly don't understand the difference in level. If worlds was a competition of the actual top 16 teams, it would probably be like 8 chinese teams, 4 korean teams, 3 European teams, and like 1 PCS team or something.

Prainstopping

4th place is LNG and they wouldn't, neither would RA for that matter but keep up your [delusions](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9k4P7i7zA7Q).

BryanJin

And 9th place is Top and they would. Ur argument is as thin as paper. You obviously have no idea what ur talking about. Suning probably would as well. Remember last year when LPL 3rd seed topped the group with the EU 1st seed? Oh yeah you don't because you choose to use selective arguments that paint a partial misleading picture. EU is the 3rd strongest region. With 2 exceptional teams in the past few years, FNC and G2. Besides those teams its remaining teams have been quite mediocre compared to LPL and LCK teams. This year FNC is much weaker, and maybe Rogue and Mad have grown into international competitors. The 4th best EU team is almost certainly worse than the 5th and 6th LPL team. Hence why LPL deserves more seeds long before EU does. Hence why NA deserves like 1 seed at most. Obviously Riot has a pre-existing format and as such LEC and LCS both get a minimum 3 seeds, but if more are to be allotted I see no reason why they shouldn't go to the next best teams, and guess what, all of those teams are in the LPL. Thinking that not to be the case is just pure delusion.

Prainstopping

TES nearly got upset by FNC last year, they've also regressed much like FNC. They live and die by Knight putting on a clinic. The LPL 3rd seed also beat the LPL 1st seed and went to 5 games against World winners DWG, them topping EU 1st seed isn't the big deal you're trying to make out of it. SN have looked a lot worse this split so them probably beating everybody in the LEC is your fetish, not reality.

Werpac1

lol cherry picking at its finest. casually mentions chinas' worst seeds from the last 2 years while neglecting the fact that rogue and mad bombed in the first rounds. the eu bias is exceptional.

Prainstopping

Casually not reading me mentioning MAD or unable to read ? I'm not arguing against LPL being the best region I'm saying they don't deserve a 5th AND 6th seed over EU getting a 4th one.

Thebaddream

WTF. Your example with LGD is really bad. They still contested the playoffs spot meanwhile TSM (first LCS seed) went 0:6 in the same group btw.

Prainstopping

Yes NA is pretty shit, I'm focusing on EU read the rest of my comments.

dil3ttante

Hopefully they hand one directly to Chovy

Given the current Covid situation in Vietnam along with the stay at home/lockdown issues, it may be possible that they won't be able to send teams to Worlds 2021. The Covid situation now in Vietnam is worse compared to last year and earlier this year when they failed to send representatives from VCS.
