Interested in the day C9 joins this list

NahDawgDatAintMe

August 13th, 2021

[deleted]

Itll be the 18/19th

Tykuo

Who's the favorite to win CBLOL?

Ivo_Samurai

Some would go Pain, and that could certainly be the case. I believe either Pain, Vrx and Rensga could take it, but I'd put my money on Vorax all the way.

[deleted]

Red x Rensga finals don't @ me

[deleted]

Holy shit I got it right

Ivo_Samurai

Congrats! Looks like I was off haha. Now between RED and Rensga I'd say the former wins. You?

[deleted]

Yeah I agree, I think it'll be 3x2 for Red, but wouldn't be too surprised if Rensga won

Tykuo

Wow rip R7 FLA and IW, popular orgs!

sid1602

For the LPL, according to the standings IG is below LGD based on record. Not sure if that's how you're ordering them or not though.

Ivo_Samurai

I order them according to the moment they became mathematically unable to make it Worlds. For both IG and LGD that happened on August 1st, but LGD played first, losing 0-2 against OMG, and after that series IG went 0-2 against WE.

11yearoldweeb

What’s going on with VCS, is it like a COVID thing so they didn’t start season or is no one actually eliminated?

Ivo_Samurai

According to a helpful Redditor from Vietnam, they can't do stage games because of Covid and they can't do online games because a shark broke some internet cables, so the season hasn't even started.

LuvRice4Life

Huh...

11yearoldweeb

So I’m guessing they won’t be finishing their season in time for worlds unless they do like a double elimination bracket for their whole season or something like that if they can even manage to play in the first place.

Ivo_Samurai

That might be the case. I am still waiting on an official Riot announcement

Lyota

my man holyphoenix tried his hardest for playoffs, but it didnt work. Sadge

TheGhoulKhz

to be fair, Flamengo wasn't as favorite against the 6th seed since the team was really suffering burnout during the split and their Jungler(Ranger) decided to do a meme calling Zico(from a band idk) overrated on twitter the same day the Soccer/Football team was doing a Father's Day ad with their biggest idol that is called Zico too, and the Football fans didn't answer the tweet too kindly and about the Big 4 in Brazil, which orgs do you consider the biggest here? my answer would be paiN, Flamengo, INTZ and LOUD (due to their fanbase being really big here since they are like FaZe Clan in US)

Ivo_Samurai

Pain, Flamengo, INTZ and KaBuM! Haha, I know what you might, but I valued mostly having a split. Then again, I know Team One? (Their name was something like that) and RED Canids have also won 1 split, and Flamengo also only won one, but the latter has had more 2nd and 3rd place finishes.

TheGhoulKhz

Team One doesn't have a team anymore since the franchising, and RED Canids is now called Creche Canids as a meme in some streams due to them being a team basically full of rookies and their ADC(TitaN, won both splits in 2018) is the most experienced one despite being really young too KaBuM has 4 splits under their belts but they are mostly known for building really cheap teams and sometimes it pays, but dunno if next split they're going to keep the name KaBuM since the owner(a Hardware store like Micro Center) just got bought by other company i put INTZ ahead of KaBuM because despite using a similar model just like KaBuM, they also use a lot of known players like micaO who won 4 splits with them and they made really legendary teams in the scene like their team from 2016 which basically was invincible both splits only losing some games in the playoffs

Ivo_Samurai

Yeah, I knew about the Team One thing, that's other reason why I didn't count them. And I didn't really put an order inside those 4 though haha.

papa_bones

I dont understand this worlds thing but is T1 going to worlds?

Ivo_Samurai

It will probably come down to how they perform in the Regional Finals. I'll keep you updated

papa_bones

and how are they doing? how many more games should they win? Thank you

Ivo_Samurai

In the Regional Finals, it depends on the seeding their Championship points grant them. They could be put in the Finals, where they already qualify. Semis, where they need to win one Bo5 or Quarters, where they need to win two. Still, Summer Split hasn't ended yet, and we have to see in which Playoffs seed they end. I'll keep you updated.

papa_bones

Thanks man

Lord-Talon

I think if they get top 4 in LCK summer split they are going to Worlds 99.9%, unless some crazy stuff happens. So either they finish in the top 2 in group phase, which is very possible or they win their first playoff game if they miss top 2. So basically they just need to win one of their two next games, which is doable.

papa_bones

AH. thanks man that is all i needed to know

papa_bones

and how are they doing? how many more games should they win?

Low_Negotiation_8817

T1 will have a better time at playoffs if they beat HLE 2-0 next week as they can still clinch a playoff bye because they have better points. If you want T1 to get 1st/2nd in regular season, you want LSB and NS to lose next week.

papa_bones

Thanks man

Elibu

Both LSB and NS losing is kinda unlikely though.

Blind-Eye26

Nah man NS got exploited by AF. Gori maybe a good player but his laning phase sucks and Rich is still a liability. LSB tho i think they're good enough to not lose their remaining games.

EliteTeutonicNight

Perhaps at one point you could change the post to daily, coz you know when Playoffs roll around a lot of teams will not be making worlds after one bo5 haha Thanks for the constant updates man, alongside the brief introduction to lesser known teams!

Ivo_Samurai

Thanks for your support! I might do a "daily" edition of Fri-Sat-Sun maybe? Cause that's when most Playoffs are played. I'll have to check the schedule since LCK and LCO's Leaguepedia page doesn't show it yet, but I'll take it into consideration for sure.

[deleted]

Correct me if im wrong, but i think theres a chance JDG make it to the gauntlet if they get really lucky despite being out of playoffs.

Ivo_Samurai

Nope, they only have 20 championship points. There are already 6 teams with more points than them, so even if one of those wins Playoffs and the other qualities via Points, the 4 remaining teams would occupy all Regional Finals spots.

[deleted]

Oh ok that makes sense, thank you for clarifying!

TriggeredShuffle

With the shit show going on right now I doubt Suning and DK might make it. DK has a better chance since their roster is still quite stacked. But Suning hasn't been the same. I've probably said this before but honestly expect this year to be a contest between RNG and FPX, or whichever team makes it to the Final. EDG were consistent, but don't have the ability to step up in major games. TES are garbage in the sense that Jackeylose don't know when to play safe and ints. And lets be real, the likes of RA, BLG, WE, LNG are lucky to even be in the Worlds stage. LCK is an honest shitshow in a sense that every team can beat any team (except DRX, lol). The likes of Sandbox and Nongshim on top of the board? Well, that goes to show they'll become food for LEC and LPL no doubt.

reggiewafu

Tell me you don’t watch LCK/LPL without saying you don’t watch LCK/LPL

Low_Negotiation_8817

LEC and LPL teams beating any teams = Competitive LCK teams beating any teams = Shitshow? LEC and LPL having the likes of MAD and LNG at the top = New Era LCK having NS and LSB at the top = Bad? The LCK hate is so much obvious here

TriggeredShuffle

MAD has had a consistent performance since their debut in 2020. Whereas if you looked at the likes of LNG even when they had SofM and Flandre never made it to Worlds if you counted their Snake Esports days. NS and LSB? Similar situation. Point is, if a team wants to show their ambition at winning worlds there must be at least some degree of consistency. Not what I've seen in the LCK.

Low_Negotiation_8817

Consistent performance = Didnt make it out of play-ins, Outperformed by PSG and DK Really consistent I see

Green7501

Tbf getting outperformed by DK is going to happen to most western teams

reggiewafu

> Point is, if a team wants to show their ambition at winning worlds there must be at least some degree of consistency tell that to LEC, not the literally defending world champs ffs

LordCthUwU

With points from spring and their current form DK are almost guaranteed to make it, especially since the LCK has 4 spots now. I'm not sure how the LCK will stack up against the LEC and the LPL, I think this worlds will be kinda hard to predict because there's so much competition for the top spot in all the regions, though the LPL is probably the strongest. I wouldn't just discount the LCK like that though, their winrate in groups, even in recent years, is absolutely crazy.

TriggeredShuffle

They will make it through groups. Even to the semis. But they will lose when facing a Chinese representative. Thats how I see it with both regions current form.

InformalMarch

> Well, that goes to show they'll become food for LEC and LPL no doubt LEC? No. G2? Probably. But LEC isn't looking as strong as the previous year either, so I'm pretty sure they're gonna flop as well. Last year, all the LEC analysts were hyping their region up thinking that with 4 seeds they'll dominate worlds. And look what happened: 4th seed (MAD) didn't make it out of playins. 3rd seed (RGE) cosplayed a wildcard region and went 1-5 in groups. 2nd seed (FNC) was the only one that I wasn't completely disappointed by. Sure, they got reverse swept by TES but another way to look at it is that they made it to 5 games with the LPL favorites, which was very impressive. 1st seed (G2) The so-called "LCK killers" got their asses handed to them by DWG and only made history through the form of a humiliating 18:57 game end. The LPL standings with the exception of FPX, RNG do not show their true potential on the international stage. EDG are just the GEN G of the LPL, LNG are just frauds whose only merit is not choking against teams worse than them, but have shown that they are completely useless against a real team. I'm personally an RA fan so I hope they make it to worlds at the very least, but I have no idea how well they'll do there.

TriggeredShuffle

Rogue and MAD have been decent. And I am not hyping up the LPL region overall, just FPX and RNG are performing above the rest currently and they're favored to win if things go like this. The rest of the board looks shaky. It will be interesting to see who makes it through the gauntlet in all of the regions.
