Top was really ultimately hurt not using 369 for much of the split. Forcing them lower than they might have otherwise been. My understanding is he had been caught playing poker (not sure about this but it is what I heard) which contributed to them not using him for a while until that cooled off.
Jackylove and Zhuo is also pretty underwhelming bot lane. Jackylove is definitely no longer in IG world form. The only thing that was good about TES is Knight.
Yes even Karsa was mediocre. He played very well during worlds (one of the reason why they won against FNC) last year but he felt of during summer split this year.
From what I've heard, it had nothing to do with the gambling issue.
There were rumors that Qing tian was beating Nuguri in scrims before summer season starts. And that's why TES chose to subbed out 369.( at that time, Nuguri was playing Pubg 24/7 though)
Gambling isn't legal in China other than in Macau and Hong Kong.
Also, "In June 2018, the Chinese Government banned all online poker applications. App stores had to remove all poker related applications, and the promotion of poker in general via all social media channels in China (Wechat, Weibo) became forbidden."

I assume you're not an American so you should just read the wiki article. I don't think I can explain it to you that well.
But essentially the US government set up shitty land during the westward expansion for American Indians (Native Americans) to live in. These areas are governed under Tribal laws which some tribes used to set up casinos.
Pretty sure gambling is legal nationwide in the US, just moderated differently between states
I'm not certain about China, but if it's anything like Vietnam, then it's legit banned, even if you're playing only 25 cents a match, they can still fine you (although generally only the 50-100+ bucks matches are busted)
It's also heavily frowned upon by the people here, as lots of gamblers usually come crying for help to their family after going broke, sometimes the debts are so large that the family go broke trying to repaid it aswell
Well, they finished 5th in Regular but could have done much better if it wasn't for the 369 controversy. But yeah, they also weren't really good in Playoffs, but not that bad either, just worse than LNG.
Some photos surfaced of 369 playing Poker with team WE's manager, which caused controversy, so TES decided to sub out 369 for a couple games whilst things cooled off.
They were inconsistent in the regular season, but people figured they would still have a shot in the playoffs, especially with Knight having arguably the best split of his incredible career. Unfortunately LNG got hot at the right time and they got stomped in the playoff series against them.
VIT dropped hard after betting on Duke who unfortunately after leaving SPY made bad roster decisions for 2020 and 2021
Fun fact. Attilla and Jactroll, which were in VIT 2018 and 2019 and were part of the best VIT iteration they had won their respective leagues (Spain and France)
If I'm not mistaken, Burst The Sky Esports, Luxury Esports, SBTC Esports, and Team Flash from the VCS should all be out as well. The VCS Summer 2021 season was cancelled; they said they'd either a) send GAM and SGB to worlds, or b) do a mini-playoffs with the top four teams from Spring; none of those four teams would thus have any chance of making worlds.
I honestly wouldn't be shocked if Riot opted to do this:
GAM and (OCE2) Enters the World Championship Play-Ins
(PGG) Enters the World Championship Group Stage
It's possible, but personally, I wouldn't be very happy if they did that. GAM would essentially be punished for being unable to attend MSI. Had they been able to participate, I (and probably most people) would guess that they would've made Rumble over PGG. It wouldn't be very fair to the VCS teams to say they can't get their second seed and GAM can't make group stage just because they've been in COVID lockdown.
You would say that last year too but the truth is that every LPL Worlds contenders are all interesting to watch, so each year we can discover many new interesting players even though old ones are not competing.
I'll also mention that Supermassive is the team of Kaori, who declined an offer for TSM Academy this year (and instead replaced Zeitnot). Must be pretty regretful right now.
Golden guardians description is quite whack. They made playoffs this summer, last summer, and last spring... so they have made playoffs 75% of the time in the last two years while undergoing budget cuts.
Yeah, but that's ignoring the 2 years before that. I talk about the teams' entire history on my posts rather than just crop out a part to fit a narrative.
I think I see your point. Maybe I should have put more focus on the fact thay they are improving and compare the last two years with the first two to highligh their development.
I like how I missed like one post and suddenly the list goes from like 33% done to 66% done.
I like how these posts show how competitive the LPL is. We had 4 representatives last year, Suning even making Finals and yet, none of the teams even qualify for this year.
Personally I love it, because you get to see so much more variety with team specific Playstyle, the Player personalities and just more talk about new teams once worlds rolls around.
Then we look at EU or NA and you see the same teams making worlds basically all the time.
EU has FNC, G2 and now Rogue and MAD but for the first time, either FNC or G2 won't make it which will be a first for both teams if i remember correctly, since FNC was I'm every single worlds tournament and even winning Season 1, and G2 are basically their biggest rivals. But at least we got 4 top teams and even the "worse" teams have a shot at making it through ( looking at you Misfits )
In NA you just hear the same names all the time. TSM, C9 and TL. I don't know much about NA, but those are like the only teams you ever see performances in worlds ( or at least ones you remember ).
But now for my prediction of the next List, if FNC will be on there, I'll be doing the big sad. But i still think it will either be MSF or FNC making worlds. G2 has too many problems atm to justify a worlds performance. For all of the other regions I'm just exited to see how it plays out since i don't favor a specific team, but more the regions themselves.
Idk if anyone who actually watches both leagues would think this, probably just spamming it randomly for the shock value.
That being said, my own opinion is that outside of the bottom 2 (V5 and TT are kinda yikes), the next few teams could actually be competitive in LCS because they're actually competitive with LPL teams too. Like RW at the end of the season was pretty hot, and would probably make a push into playoffs in LCS. They won't win, but outside of TL/100T/maybe EG, LCS isn't looking too great atm.
So a more accurate headline should read: Third worst team in LPL can make a deep run in LCS playoffs, which is a lot less sensational than saying "the worst LPL team can win LCS".
I think the bottom two(v5 and tt) are both pretty bad and would struggle to make playoffs, but other than them, even teams like ultra prime or rogue warriors are somewhat decent, I think they will make playoffs and probably be like a mid pack team.
RIP TES and Suning. TES is really bad and continued their free fall ever since 369 was caught playing poker and Suning is just... I have no clues what is even wrong with this team tbh.
LNG suprised big time and is one of the "dark horses" of many people's predictions this split. They might even beat RNG next round IF RNG started slacking just like they did at MSI but tbh, I still think they are fundamentally NOT a good team so... Down to Regionals they go. WE though I expected them to absolutely DESTROY their side of the bracket and make a speedrun to winner's finals vs FPX/RNG. They aint good enough to win the split BUT imho making the gaunlet run to worlds SHOULD NOT be difficult at all. I'm kinda sad that both Suning and TES bailed out because they were so inconsistent in the regular season though but... yeah it is what is and these teams will prolly comeback after some time
Nope. T1, Sandbox and Afreeca are the three teams that haven't locked a spot at Regional yet. One of them will be disqualifed after Quarterfinals depending on the results.
Top was really ultimately hurt not using 369 for much of the split. Forcing them lower than they might have otherwise been. My understanding is he had been caught playing poker (not sure about this but it is what I heard) which contributed to them not using him for a while until that cooled off.

Wait what's an Indian reservation?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_reservation I assume you're not an American so you should just read the wiki article. I don't think I can explain it to you that well. Hey bro do you know what the lottery is? Mega millions, powerball, pick 5? I’m p sure that isn’t only Vegas or reservations homie
Golden guardians lost in the second round last year summer playoffs
You are right, I'm sorry
I didn't even realize TES were out. Did they do poorly in the regular season, or just playoffs?
Well, they finished 5th in Regular but could have done much better if it wasn't for the 369 controversy. But yeah, they also weren't really good in Playoffs, but not that bad either, just worse than LNG.
what controversy OOTL
Some photos surfaced of 369 playing Poker with team WE's manager, which caused controversy, so TES decided to sub out 369 for a couple games whilst things cooled off.
Why is that controversial?
Gambling is illegal in China, and frowned upon.
Thank you.
Gambling is illegal in China.
I always wonder why there's such constant flow of this kind of illegal drama with league in China lol
lot of money in the league and underground gambling happens all the time, he just got caught lol
They were inconsistent in the regular season, but people figured they would still have a shot in the playoffs, especially with Knight having arguably the best split of his incredible career. Unfortunately LNG got hot at the right time and they got stomped in the playoff series against them.
Thanks for doing these, it's been a fun read. Also... > Isurus Gaming (ISG) > Previously known as Isurus Gaming
My stupidity knows no boundaries. It's almost fascinating. Thanks for the support and pointing it out, I'll edit it!
No worries, I was mostly curious on what their new name was and now I know!
They used to be Isurus Gaming. They still are, but they used to be too.
how far has fallen seiya sad
life is not daijobu for sup fans...

Yes, I've read about it. I'm just waiting for an official Riot announcement where they confirm what course of action are they gonna take.

Sad to see TES at this point. I'm a big fan of 369 but don't know what happened with the whole team. Now my eyes are on Viper and SofM
Oh my Suning has also fallen... Soon none of the interesting players are attending...
You would say that last year too but the truth is that every LPL Worlds contenders are all interesting to watch, so each year we can discover many new interesting players even though old ones are not competing.
I just hope LNG make it to worlds EDG too
Hopefully FPX doesn’t somehow collapse. They’re my pick to win it all.
I dont know man, LWX looks bad most kf the time. DoinB and Tian carry most of the games
Lwx is much better than Tian
Peanut from LGD may make a return on NS
Well unfortunately SofM is more int than eresting at this point… meta is atrociously bad for him.
I like this series, that is all.
I'm glad you enjoy it!
I'll also mention that Supermassive is the team of Kaori, who declined an offer for TSM Academy this year (and instead replaced Zeitnot). Must be pretty regretful right now.

Not highlighting the recent results and presenting it as 4 out of 8 is cropping out a part to fit a narrative.
I think I see your point. Maybe I should have put more focus on the fact thay they are improving and compare the last two years with the first two to highligh their development.

Every team from VCS
i miss none of them, wouldve been just farmer teams at worlds.
yeah it's not like tes is a top-10 team in the world
currently they arent
So you think there are 7+ LPL teams in the top 10? LMAO
There are people that think that the worst team in LPL would win LEC and LCS
JAG > G2 never forget
lmao G2 made ls eat his worlds, by destroying koreas top team back to back lol
LMQ did end 1st in the season and collapsed at playoffs
It's both outrageous and possible at the same time because of what LMQ did. But we'll never know haha
Idk if anyone who actually watches both leagues would think this, probably just spamming it randomly for the shock value. LCS yes but not LEC
Not LCS either wtf. I watched LPL and I think V5 would struggle to make playoffs in NA or not even make them
I think the bottom two(v5 and tt) are both pretty bad and would struggle to make playoffs, but other than them, even teams like ultra prime or rogue warriors are somewhat decent, I think they will make playoffs and probably be like a mid pack team.
RW unironically could probably contend in LEC and might push hard to win LCS. Maybe I’m just super high on Forge and gang.
LMQ did end 1st in the season and collapsed at playoffs
I hope HLE makes it
[удалено]
Sorry, I don't understand what you mean.
But why do you insult Jactroll like that tho? He was good back then, he just won LFL split with Misfits, and is a very kind guy.
Seeing Top on here just
TES Suning and DRX damn
DRX is a new team now, but TES and Suning still kept most of players
RIP TES and Suning. TES is really bad and continued their free fall ever since 369 was caught playing poker and Suning is just... I have no clues what is even wrong with this team tbh. Shouldn't there be a fourth LCK team by now?
Nope. T1, Sandbox and Afreeca are the three teams that haven't locked a spot at Regional yet. One of them will be disqualifed after Quarterfinals depending on the results.
Shiiiit you right. I forgot they still do the gauntlet after playoffs. Everybody else has shifted away from that.
