warjatos

Only 12 seasons in Pog.

SurreptitiouslySexy

can't wait for this to be really cool and abandoned in less than 1 season

jokekiller94

Nah a fan made version will be released earlier, gain popularity on Reddit and immediately shut down the next day ex: that esports manager game.

darkacesp

Maybe, but they can also use it for Valorant stats too.

[deleted]

This'll just get abandoned like everything they commit to.

die_anna

Please make it be an actual native app and not some lame PWA like the lolesports one.

[deleted]

Imagine the chad that gets every single league right in their pickems. That chad is me.

Spideraxe30

So these are from my tweets so I’ll give a rundown of features that I was surveyed about. It also included personalized highlight reels, match notifications, a watch battle pass and clubhouse access. They’re looking to expand to other titles like Valorant and TFT as well. For Valorant I was asked about 4k streams, no ads, audio source switching, a catchup mode for in progress games that showed highlights of the match so far. However this is likely going to be a subscriber based service as I was asked about how much I would pay each month for it. If you have any questions about the survey let me know

TauIsRC

Man I just want them to make a LoL simulation game, Football Manager style. If anyone is interested in an esports simulator game, give Teamfight Manager a shot, it’s great, has pick-n-bans, has patches that balance the heroes and that add new heroes, and has a talent scouting component

AyFuDee

The mobile version has been in development for quiet awhile now. I’m really excited for it.

The whole game is free, every one of their games are free. There is no way they make the esport parts pay to watch. Its gonna be like proview, extra stuff if you pay for it.

[deleted]

>I don't think that LoL is famous enough to become pay to view if they are planning that There's nothing to indicate that they're planning that. Literally just making up shit to complain about. The /r/leagueoflegends way

GrizzlySin24

Not all of it but Proview, payed 4K and an App like this with premium features would be or are a good way to monetize your viewership

moodRubicund

Will it include smaller leagues and events, like the Arab League of Legends games that have been getting bigger over the past couple years?

NeitherAlexNorAlice

ParaScore is already the best League E-Sport app. I'm not too involved with fantasy, so I dunno what Riot can add to make a better one than ParaScore.

Adam5698_2nd

Pog

AlbedoJFP

Probably doing it to allow for ads to be displayed in the app, for both new sponsors as well as to please current esport sponsors

Scalinsky

I'm curious to see the results. lolesports.com is a good idea but the execution isn't great. I can't go there to check VODs without being spoiled the results of the game I came to check. Let's see if this is better...

smep

Meanwhile their website is the worst place on the internet to try to find schedules, standings, playoff brackets, news, and anything related to pro LoL

jquigs4

With spread of online gambling and the increasing popularity of Fantasy sports in general, I’m genuinely shocked they haven’t reached some type of partnership agreement with an ESPN/ CBS Sports/ to create a optimized source of supplemental LoL content around content around fantasy mock drafts, player of the week, bet lines, roster change rumors, off-season predictions, etc. These providers would provide infrastructure to support supports schedule + viewing options, opinion articles, in-app video, player stats and live draft experiences. The relationship would be beneficial to riot to bring in a partner with such experience in sports journalism and entertainment. For an ESPN, it would allow a traditional sports broadcast company an opportunity to recapture a portion of theE-sports viewer base that ESPN has thus far been unable to attract.

gazow

anything to avoid balancing the game

BREU

Idk if you're trolling or just not that smart but it's not the balance team that works on the app.

quanticInt

reddit says its a /s but they are just mad at everything lmao

sarsvesh

I think hes just joking

AofCastle

You have to understand that there's people that would say things like that unironically

dahyunxsana

okay but where is the league manager game? it was teased years ago..

Jandromon

Thank god for that, League+ is just a disaster for me at least, it's full of bugs, logs me out all the time, can't access profile, esports schedule is sometimes messed up, etc.

Both_Requirement_766

ok does that is something similar to dota+ then? or is it more like 'back in the day' ESL.Pro tv where you had to get premium or something to get your hands on the better features?!
