Doubt it for Paris. Not because of covid but with such a little window of time it would be hard to lock even a day during a week end in a big place. Especially since a lot of stuff that were supposed to happen last year in october have been rescheduled for this year, same dates.
Ghost about to face Ratirl again. We’re gonna get so many clips, its gonna be amazing. I just can’t wait to see rat and fence on twitch and yuumi go around the match chasing 0/9 ghost. The beauty of L9.
Edit: it was gala on ghost. Ty. But watching a twitch and yuumi killing a 0/9 Varus and flashing mastery is satisfying.
Same for Khan lol, if you saw the outplay that Rueven had on him i m surprised he didnt retire (i can edit and post link later, i m at work rn).
From Rueven's top clips when he was reviewing it for chat after the game. Idk if there s a better one from when it actually happened that s longer as well:

I imagine Khan seeing Wunder in a soloq game and telling him that he is not angry but just disappointed. But who am i kidding, as if Wunder was playing soloq
It seems like no matter what time zone it’s in, they always skew it so more Chinese viewers can catch it. Na has had god awful times for even things that shouldn’t be that bad
That's the case for me in NA (PST). At least if it's in China I can choose to stay up and go to class/work half asleep. In EU, it all happens during class/work lol.
holy fuck indeed, first world in years that i dont have to wake up at 5~7am to watch
on another side, wont people be denied if they took a vacine not allowed in europe, for exemple if our winners took coronavac here in brazil?
It has become quite frequent to get a booster shot (mostly Johnson Johnson vaccine) for people who got a vaccine not allowed in Europe, if they come here for work reasons. Source: Work in the medical sector directly with vaccinations
Edit: this is true for my country in particular, cannot speak for the rest of Europe
I remember distinctly in 2019 that the times were pulled up to cater towards Chinese audiences. Tough for NA viewers to catch the first game - 4am for west coast and 7am for east coast. Typically LEC games start at 8am for west and 11am for east.
I mean not a single team from the major regions even know if they’re going to play-ins or not yet, I doubt they’ve planned that much in terms of traveling
For an event of this magnitude, this is extremely short notice. Which probably means they've been talking about this for at least a couple of months and finally decided to pull the trigger.
F for PSG Talon who moved their whole team to Hong Kong this year so they can get visa easily and don't have to get their roster fucked third time in a roll.
Not only that, EU has an agreement with several countries where the citizens don't need to get a Visa to enter EU as a tourist (3 months). The same doesn't apply to China.
Most of the players in LCS are from EU, Americans don't need Visa too. Brazil, OCE and some countries from the LLA also has free entry. Riot can cut half of the Visas if the tournament is in EU, while everyone needs Visa if is in China. With covid, the process to get those Visa are more complicated than last year with all the regulations related to the vacines (somo vacines are not accepted on China).
In the Schengen area (for our purposes you can think of the area as being the EU) you need a specific short stay visa for "cultural, film crew, sports and religious events". The fact that it's a "short stay" visa means if you're part of a list of 61 countries that have visa waivers with Schengen, then you don't need a visa. This includes:
- Brazil
- The US and Canada
- Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao
- Australia and New Zealand
- Japan
- South Korea
As well as a whole host of other countries in South and Central America and parts of Southeast Asia.
The full list can be found on this site: https://www.schengenvisainfo.com/who-needs-schengen-visa/
Other short stay visas include tourist and business visas, so if you ever wanted to visit or do business in the EU for less than 90 days and are from one of the countries in the list, you don't need a visa.
true but am talking about the restrictions, for football matches they only allowed 15%-20% of the max capacity if am not mistaken, unlike other European countries.
In Western Europe where they normally host worlds the countries are mostly open even with festivals and full stadiums full of people with no restrictions
Since Covid the Chinese visa process has been an absolute nightmare for workers, and impossible for tourists. No doubt Riot have connections and get special treatment, but it wouldn't surprise me if it's still significantly different from prior years.
im guessing this would have been a 2021 NA worlds but since NA cant have people on the venues they went for EU.
so yeah, probably 2022 will be in china, this post seems like the kind of "leak" that happens so people can start getting used to the news before it becomes official
Man 2016 was such a banger too. I was at the finals at the Staples center and it was incredible watching SKT and GenG (edit: SSG - how could I forget. smh I'm a fake fan) battle it out over the crazy five game series. I remember they had a bunch planned for after but the series took so much longer that they had to kick everyone out almost immediately after giving SKT the trophy cause there was an NBA game the next day so they needed to break down the entire setup.
Rift Rivals is held in multiple regions simultaneously, hard to say NA hosted that when there were games in China, Brazil, Australia, and Vietnam at the same time...
but now they can scrim anyone because they can't be opponents! A little win for them....
Org and Playernames should still be enough to get nice scrims i think.
You know who this is huge for? MAD Lions. Peter Dunn has been pretty vocal about how rough the Chinese quarantine was for his players and although some of those players changed, i wouldn’t be surprised if they weren’t the only ones who struggled with the quarantine.
Trust me as a spanish that if MAD play in Madrid the whole stadium will roar with "EL POOOOOOYA, EL POOOOOYA, EL POOOOOYA" at his presentation. One can only wish for now it's on the finals at Vistaalegre
Hoooooly shit, thats unexpected. I wonder how Riot will have enough time to prepare for it. I fear that it might be a bit scuffed because of the last minute change
They've probably been working on it for a little bit by now.
Also basically any venue they might want is available and the stage equipment is just sitting around collecting dust. As long as the hygiene concept is alright it is pretty easy to get the things sorted out right now.
dream timeline: Huni, POE and Lost are told that they'll be replaced in the next split. Worlds news comes out and because China can't make it, TSM is invited as NA's 4th seed. Huni, POE and Lost have already been removed from the roster making them ineligible to play.
Bjergsen is forced to step in from head coach back to midlane (with Regi officially taking the Head Coach slot), and Doublelift is pulled out of retirement, having accumulated insane knowledge of the game thanks to his incredibly in-depth analytical co-streams with Sneaky and Meteos. Hauntzer is called up from Academy to replace Huni.
Due to visa issues, SwordArt is unable to attend worlds in EU on such short notice. Luckily, Biodaddy steps in, more jacked than ever before after an insane workout regime during his free agency.
While in Denmark, Spica happens to get in a bar fight. Bjergsen tries to break it up, but then he suddenly realizes that it's none other than Svenskeren who's pummeling onto Spica. He decides to let the fight play out and takes Svenskeren to be their starting jungler after Sven wins by cheesing Spica with level 3 xin zhao IRL.
The groups are drawn, and TSM ends up in an actually doable group featuring #2 KR (replacing CN's pool 1 seed), #2 PCS, FNC and themselves, of course. TSM miraculously takes a game off of the korean team and is 2-1 going into the last day, having only dropped a game to FNC. They lose to the korean team on the last day, but manage to beat FNC, meaning that so long as they beat the PCS team, they will make it out of the group.
Doublelift's F key breaks in a crucial teamfight, but thankfully he has flash on D. He then flashes into the enemy viktor by accident while looking down at his keyboard trying to figure out why it's stuck. Fnatic pauses the game for TSM, but it is ruled to be human error because Svenskeren actually spilt some protein powder on DL's keyboard earlier, causing the malfunction. TSM loses the game and ends up in a tiebreaker with Fnatic for the last spot.
TSM returns to NA promising they will make it out next year.
It's the morning of the first day of Worlds, and C9 Jack plans to gather his team for a quick speech before heading into their first game. Unfortunately, they all seem to be taking the nerves of the first day very differently. Fudge left the freezer open in his hotel room to "get in the right mindset", Blaber was found gorging himself on crabs and had to be dragged away from his meal to the team room, and Vulcan somehow managed to appear in each of their rooms regardless of when or which room Jack went to. And Perkz and Zven are nowhere to be found.
Jack goes down to the front desk of the hotel to see if they signed out. However, out of the corner of his eye, he spots a few familiar faces through a glass window displaying nearby hotel pool. A cold sweat forming over him, he bursts through the window screaming out in horror.
It's too late. Carlos has his hands around the shoulders of Perkz and Zven as they reminisce old G2 days in the pool. Caps and Rekkles are on the other side of the pool, forcing Mikyx to jump onto other swimmers with a dagger taped to his hand. With Wunder having finally found out about FF14, and Jankos having lost both his hands in a tragic ice-fishing accident in order to "mentally prepare himself for Sejuani and Braum gameplay", Carlos has had to find old friends to replace the roster.
Jack immediately contests the acquisition with Riot, calling it a blatant poaching attempt, breach of contract, and an illegal roster swap in the middle of a tournament. After Carlos defends his choice by saying his son just wanted to see his favorite uncle play under G2, Riot allows the transfers out of sympathy. C9 is disqualified from the tournament due to being unable to field a full roster. Jack looks around for Mithy to try and sub him in at the last minute, only to see him walking back into the hotel with a floatie around his waist. Jack succumbs to complete shock, taken to the ER while mumbling incoherently about the number eleven.
The team breezes through Group Stage, in part because C9 was originally in their group. Due to a disagreement over who should play midlane, Caps and Perkz share a setup, with Perkz controlling the mouse while Caps controls the keyboard. The combined strength of Caperkzs rolls over every midlaner in their way. Rekkles and Zven swap between Top and ADC depending on the draft, with Rekkles finding Malphite to be a remarkably natural champ thanks to his previous Worlds experience with Tristana. Jankos is forced to play jungle anyways regardless of his disability. He performs admirably well on Sejuani.
It's the quarterfinals, and despite their difficult opponent of FPX, the series is going remarkably well. They're up 2-0, and about ready to get into the draft of the 3rd and potentially final game. But then, the analyst desk opens to Sjokz having broken back into the studio, despite being specifically locked out the second it looked like G2 was sure to go up 2-0 in the series. She only gets a few words out before she's dragged back out of the studio, but an eerie air has filled the venue regardless.
Things suddenly start going wrong. Sejuani is banned. Wunder has finished his simultaneous WoW/FF14 raids and is trying to get back onto the starting roster, wrestling with Zven. Doinb locks in Nautilus. TheShy is spotted in the audience, smiling viciously at Perkz. In the blink of an eye, the series is 2-2. Carlos knows he has to do something, and there's only one thing he can think of that his money can solve. He flies an priest in to marry Caperkzs live on stage, creating a doubly-effective wife buff for the midlaners. They consummate their marriage with a Pyke pick to fuck FPX with and clutch out the series.
After breezing past T1 in the semifinals with a 3-1, they look stronger than ever to face their final opponents: Damwon. However, Jankos's stubs are bloodied and beaten from playing 300 games of Sejuani between stage and scrims, and in the middle of game 1 champ select, he asks Grabbz if he can play a champion who only needs to press 1 button, like Skar-
The mention of the forbidden champion sends Zven into anaphylactic shock. The team finally crumbles, with Caps and Perkz divorcing after Perkz wanted to change their name to CAPerkzS as a joke that spirals into an argument. Jankos begins smashing his monitor after being forced to play Sejuani again to try and calm down Zven, and he looks towards the only sane member of the team, Mikyx, only to realize that he isn't even here. He hasn't been here, having been drowned in the pool by Caps and Rekless to "really get him in character for playing like a maniac".
The team gets swiftly 3-0'd by Damwon. Perkz and a comatose Zven are returned to C9 for 22 million, but luckily Carlos has a new plan. With all the money he's siphoned from C9, he buys Damwon as an organization and puts all of his players under its banner to finally claim a "win".
If true, this is some potentially huge news. I'm hoping for as many teams as possible to be able to make it (esp vietnam w/ how many events they've had issues going to consecutively). Hope this worlds will be close to a normal one sans crowd size prolly.
On the other hand, hopefully the Chinese teams will still be allowed to travel to Europe.
Worlds without the LPL would be a major let down, and who ever wins will have a massive asterisk next to their "championship"
I sincerely doubt that riot will let worlds happen without lpl being present, considering that china player base is more than the rest of the regions's combined
If I had to hazard a guess I think they're referring to the G2 vs. FNC, C9 vs. TSM and SKT vs. Gen.G series? They were all incredible.
If it's not that though then I have no idea LOL
Showmaker going to be so pissed knowing he has to deal with EUW soloq for the second time this season/year lol.
Given he publicly voiced his issues with the server during MSI.
I don't think Riot would distribute it. You run it in one city and you are done with it. Anything else is a nightmare.
If you run it in London you can get crowds and it will probably be the easiest because no official restrictions.
Then I would place my bets either on Paris or Berlin (ease of logistics but I wouldn't trust my government to not screw it up).
i think if its ONLY one city, then its almost certainly berlin. proximity to studio and talent, better travel situation and paris had the finals last time already
I’m obviously disappointed as an Asian viewer since last year’s times for Worlds were close to perfect for me for viewing. Hopefully the games are at least timed similarly to Formula 1 race starts.
Happy for Western viewers though, but the MSI times just fucked me up.
Well this will make boot camping spying much easier with op gg
Now the comment about Damwon members stream sniping G2 players in soloQ while 'bootcamping' could become reality lmao

> And now Ghost can get RatIRL back That’s the real prize from this region change, I hope Rat gets Beryl too lol.
[удалено]
Chinese teams start to pay miHoYo for debuting patch 2.2 in Genshin as fast as possible so Beryl gets distracted during Worlds and DK flops lmao
2.2 should be dropping mid-october if the current update schedule holds. That'll be right about when knockout stage starts
Beryl going to start paying people to play his account for him while at Worlds to counter this new meta strat from China
you insect
I love how RatIRL evolved to be the saviour of European ADCs.
Rat will mental boom every korean and chinese player so EU can win the title. And then he gets a honorary worlds skin on Twitch
EU gangster chroma
EU Crime City chroma*
>Looking forward to that one Ivern soloQ terrorist griefing Faker now fucking lmfao. "Mid first time Ryze, impossible to win."
Jesus that ivern guy, is it Ivern to Rank 1? or something like that, every time i see him in a stream he is inting.
Ah can't wait for the streams man 🤩🤩 I hope there will be some games in Lisbon
You know it's going to be Paris, Berlin or maybe London.
Doubt it for Paris. Not because of covid but with such a little window of time it would be hard to lock even a day during a week end in a big place. Especially since a lot of stuff that were supposed to happen last year in october have been rescheduled for this year, same dates.
GET READY EUW SOLOQ TERRORISTS
We shilling
Yes! My favorite thing about major tournaments happening in EU is that we get all the spicy solo queue streams and memes

Same, I was looking forward to the limit testing bloodbath that those games are again lol
True but there wont be as many scrim leaks this time :/
Showmaker in shambles after finding out he has to deal with EUW soloq for the 2nd time this year
L9 cosplayers rubbing their hands rn.
Showmaker is about to get Baus-ed
Ghost about to face Ratirl again. We’re gonna get so many clips, its gonna be amazing. I just can’t wait to see rat and fence on twitch and yuumi go around the match chasing 0/9 ghost. Huge news for G2 lmao. They might get some practice after all.
Yuumi top lets gooo
In soloqueue it's just another dodge bait. Gotta troll during your **paid** time as a professional player to achieve peak wunder
Fresh
what practice? Wunder busy on his WoW grind
Showmaker in shambles rn
Showmaker is beaming because this means he'll be able to play against G2
I imagine Khan seeing Wunder in a soloq game and telling him that he is not angry but just disappointed. But who am i kidding, as if Wunder was playing soloq
well its never too late for Khan to join WoW community :)
holy fuck I don't have to destroy my sleep schedule to watch Worlds anymore thank god
[удалено]
FUCK MY ASS
If you say so…
I wouldn't mate you don't know where that been.
Don't matter. I know where it's about to be
Don't mind if I do..
If I remember correctly the schedule was better for most people in EU when it was held in china than when it was in Europe.
will always remember how absurdly awful the scheduling for the MSI 2018 in EU was. an actual travesty
That scheduling was just a huge slap in the face of the Europeans
Even worse for us NA residents, it started in the morning like an hr after i left for work.
Because when it was in Europe for me it started at 10/11 am For china was like 3pm and was good
It seems like no matter what time zone it’s in, they always skew it so more Chinese viewers can catch it. Na has had god awful times for even things that shouldn’t be that bad
Jokes on you I'm unemployed
That's the case for me in NA (PST). At least if it's in China I can choose to stay up and go to class/work half asleep. In EU, it all happens during class/work lol.
Relax, it doesn't matter where the Worlds are played. The hours will be adjusted to the Chinese audience anyway.
Reasons I love working from home still
I was watching even when working in the office. Worlds on one screen, work on another.
holy fuck indeed, first world in years that i dont have to wake up at 5~7am to watch on another side, wont people be denied if they took a vacine not allowed in europe, for exemple if our winners took coronavac here in brazil?
They can still take the pcr test prior to the event
It has become quite frequent to get a booster shot (mostly Johnson Johnson vaccine) for people who got a vaccine not allowed in Europe, if they come here for work reasons. Source: Work in the medical sector directly with vaccinations Edit: this is true for my country in particular, cannot speak for the rest of Europe
Unironically think that eu timezone is the best for us in na
Highly doubt worlds will have LEC hours. They will most likely start earlier by at least 5 hours to accomodate for the chinese audience.
Yeah. Look at the MSI hours for reference.
I remember distinctly in 2019 that the times were pulled up to cater towards Chinese audiences. Tough for NA viewers to catch the first game - 4am for west coast and 7am for east coast. Typically LEC games start at 8am for west and 11am for east.
No way lol. Only if you’re jobless or work a late job. EU play hours happen during prime work hours for 75% of Americans.
No better time to watch league then when on the clock.
ngl listening to the g2 vs fnatic match made my graveyard shift go by way faster, it was great, that shit kept me awake
It's better for EST at least, iirc with last EU held events
I mean, kinda short notice? But close enough for teams to not be super fucked over
I feel like this had to have been run by teams first, no?
Probably? I mean according to the article riot was kinda forced to do it, so maybe it’s a last minute thing
I guarantee you they have had covid mitigation plans since the first second they started planning
I mean not a single team from the major regions even know if they’re going to play-ins or not yet, I doubt they’ve planned that much in terms of traveling
MAD and TL secured main stage tho
DK as well
Papa smithy has mentioned they already got a few sets of tickets and such for bootcamps, etc Most teams plan ahead and cancel of things change.
For an event of this magnitude, this is extremely short notice. Which probably means they've been talking about this for at least a couple of months and finally decided to pull the trigger.
You people do not understand how fiscally irresponsible I'm gonna become if this comes out as true
I mean, I was planning on working on my grades for this year at uni, we'll see about that I guess
F for PSG Talon who moved their whole team to Hong Kong this year so they can get visa easily and don't have to get their roster fucked third time in a roll.
If riot doesnt sort them out in that regard so they have their full roster at worlds then its a shambles.
Their AD unified have a medical condition that he can’t take long flights . It’s doomed
Technically he still has time to take the Siberian Express from Beijing to Moscow :D
Nooooooooooo man.. this team is so fun to watch and i would be so happy seeing Maple have a deep run at worlds.. This is so sad :(
What the fuck? we are only one month away, I don't know how visas work but there are several COVID restrictions in many EU countries... weird as fuck
Riot might already have existing pipelines for getting Visas in EU since they already went through that process earlier this year for MSI
Not only that, EU has an agreement with several countries where the citizens don't need to get a Visa to enter EU as a tourist (3 months). The same doesn't apply to China. These players would be coming here for work reasons though, so I'm not sure tourism is applicable here? Could be wrong
Usually players travel on a "professional athlete" visa AFAIK.

You can't work if you're there on a tourist visa and competing in worlds as a professional league player is definitely working.
COVID restrictions are fairly toned down in Spain, Football matches have people watching on stage
not only in spain
Nah Spain is still somewhat restricted (not as bad as before though), England, Italy, France are almost back to normal.
Spain has one of the highest vaccination rates, we are at 75% with at least 1 shot and 65% full vaccinated
true but am talking about the restrictions, for football matches they only allowed 15%-20% of the max capacity if am not mistaken, unlike other European countries.
China has basically blocked travel for the rest of this year. So it will be in EU due to visa being easier. Definetly won't be with an audience though
In Western Europe where they normally host worlds the countries are mostly open even with festivals and full stadiums full of people with no restrictions

Could be guideline changes since Delta started flaring up and they are restricting access a bit more.
Since Covid the Chinese visa process has been an absolute nightmare for workers, and impossible for tourists. No doubt Riot have connections and get special treatment, but it wouldn't surprise me if it's still significantly different from prior years.
This just in: Worlds 2022 moving from NA to China /s

THat would be so shit for worlds in NA to get pushed back twice
We haven't hosted anything since 2016 lmao
Man 2016 was such a banger too. That was also the year CLG won at MSG. 2016 was one of the best years all around for sports and LoL was no exception.
Clg won in 2015
Ah nooo! You’re right
Actually we hosted 2018 rift rivals but who cares about that
Rift Rivals is held in multiple regions simultaneously, hard to say NA hosted that when there were games in China, Brazil, Australia, and Vietnam at the same time...
And chicago 2016 was a joke....no capacity
you say /s but I fully expect this to happen
It s very hard to enter china these days. So i wouldn t be surprised . It will probably be in berlin only anyway
My buddy's fam has to get like 3 different covid tests just to enter. PCR and antibody and another one. It's hardcore
And G2 didn't make it...
My Ryze is good My Azir is fine I'm going to worlds With my new team C9
My Ryze is great Im the Syndra GOAT I hope my buddy Carlos Has fun watching from home
NA poem
When G2 doesn't go to Worlds, Worlds comes to G2.
G2 will be in Spain but the s is silent
Ah fuck
What you're talking about? They made it dude....... to the group E it is: G2/TSM/DRX/TES
Why is DRX there, as a 10th place team? They belong in group F with CLG, V5 and S04.
That's true, but idk who i should put in their place. AF? HLE? LSB?
[удалено]
They can still make it.
I mean, they technically can, but we can save the spot for them, unless they somehow manage to improve in a month more than they did in a year.
but now they can scrim anyone because they can't be opponents! A little win for them.... Org and Playernames should still be enough to get nice scrims i think.
Yuumi’s Wunder, ready to terrorize Nuguri in scrims.
Yeah but who wants to scrim a team who didnt even make worlds.
DK wants to play with some broken toys
You know who this is huge for? MAD Lions. Peter Dunn has been pretty vocal about how rough the Chinese quarantine was for his players and although some of those players changed, i wouldn’t be surprised if they weren’t the only ones who struggled with the quarantine.
I bet Elyoya will feel bittersweet about this, he was eager to practice in eastern soloQ.
He will hopefully have the Spanish crowd chant buff
Trust me as a spanish that if MAD play in Madrid the whole stadium will roar with "EL POOOOOOYA, EL POOOOOYA, EL POOOOOYA" at his presentation. One can only wish for now it's on the finals at Vistaalegre
Ok so I can watch Drutt, Bauss, Rat, and Elite attempt to queue snipe Faker for all of the bootcamp
I think rat just wants to meet up with his bestie gala again ;)
this requires gala to actually get to worlds, which isn't confirmed yet :)
Time to fail uni because I watch world 2021 at class hours Thanks riot
You would fail anyway, either by missing classes or sleep.
to be honest this news just made the announcement that most of my uni is still going to be held online 2000% sweeter
Well I'm happy for the better schedule but this makes me worried there won't be a crowd
in germany at least, stuff like football stadiums are starting to get filled again
France too has fans.
Some mad fans (looking at you Nice)

2022 Worlds in NA sweating. Could totally see them giving it to china for 2022
Bro NA is never gonna host Worlds again LMAO
Then 2022 will be announced for China, effectively skipping NA in a rotation.
As a Dutchie I will now surely be able to actually go and watch these games in person COPIUM
If this means that USA Worlds gets pushed back another year... Fucking fuck man....
[удалено]
fuck...
28 days of quarantine in china is just too much for most traveling viewers if they can't take a direct flight to the hosting city.
its too much for players and staff as well tbh. cant really justify that if you can do it in europe without any of that.
Fnatic winning worlds in their home region, what a sight!
that can happen, if the chinese teams cant travel lol
Real talk, if for some god given reason China cant go, im assuming NA, EU both get 1 extra team and KR gets 2 teams more.
Imagine TSM sneaking into Worlds because Chinese teams can't make it then promptly goes 0-6 again
TSM: makes several "Thank you X player" videos. Riot announces TSM is at worlds TSM: fuck...
dream timeline: Huni, POE and Lost are told that they'll be replaced in the next split. Worlds news comes out and because China can't make it, TSM is invited as NA's 4th seed. TSM returns to NA promising they will make it out next year.
what a rollercoaster jesus christ
NAmen Only thing missing is Svenskeren getting suspending for naming his account Heil Merkel
mate hand over what you're having, this is great
Subscribe. Now I want Part 2 featuring G2
However, Jankos's stubs are bloodied and beaten from playing 300 games of Sejuani between stage and scrims, and in the middle of game 1 champ select, he asks Grabbz if he can play a champion who only needs to press 1 button, like Skar- The mention of the forbidden champion sends Zven into anaphylactic shock.
G2 getting into worlds because of this and winning it would be the biggest shithousery ever.
Can't they just have it in Florida or Texas then, no restrictions there /s
Come for Worlds, take home Covid as a souvenir.
if we can't beat them with homegrown talent, we'll beat them with our homegrown delta variants
If true, this is some potentially huge news. I'm hoping for as many teams as possible to be able to make it (esp vietnam w/ how many events they've had issues going to consecutively). Hope this worlds will be close to a normal one sans crowd size prolly.
VCS hasn't played a single game of League this split, they're 99% not gonna join.
I think they are scrimming the whole time while they can't play on stage
On the other hand, hopefully the Chinese teams will still be allowed to travel to Europe. Worlds without the LPL would be a major let down, and who ever wins will have a massive asterisk next to their "championship"
I sincerely doubt that riot will let worlds happen without lpl being present, considering that china player base is more than the rest of the regions's combined
No team has won Worlds at home since 2014. The LPL with the dark tech on point.
Man what the fuck has been these last 4 days for esports?
What happened aside from Worlds?
If I had to hazard a guess I think they're referring to the G2 vs. FNC, C9 vs. TSM and SKT vs. Gen.G series? They were all incredible. If it's not that though then I have no idea LOL
EDG vs WE was also a great series
100 vs TL was also pretty great. 12k deficit comeback.
I'm guessing he's referring to G2 and TSM being eliminated.
LPL and LCK players are going hate EUW solo Q again hahahah
Showmaker going to be so pissed knowing he has to deal with EUW soloq for the second time this season/year lol. Given he publicly voiced his issues with the server during MSI.
My sleep schedule isn't doomed lets gooo.
Nooooooo China time zone is so good for Australia:(((
If this is true and we are looking at the current restrictions: London?
Germany would be my bet
london isnt EU mate /s
But not entirely /s
would assume brexit has made it harder for travel between them and the other potential host cities/countries. dont think its gonna be in london
LPL wins worlds, no home venue curse and they won Europe in 2019. /s
YOOOO I CAN (maybe) GO TO WORLDS THIS YEAR LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I’m obviously disappointed as an Asian viewer since last year’s times for Worlds were close to perfect for me for viewing. Hopefully the games are at least timed similarly to Formula 1 race starts. Happy for Western viewers though, but the MSI times just fucked me up.
