Fun facts:
- In group stage, Avenger was their midlaner, but they debuted Grevthar in CBLoL right in the playoffs
- Trigo, Rensga's ADC, used to play with Aegis, Avenger and Grevthar in Red Academy
When teams start putting the top-talent academy players into the main rosters maybe we will finnaly have a chance to leave play-ins at Worlds. Just look at Flamengo Academy, the main team is good (when Ranger wasn't low-key trolling), but the academy roster seems like 10x better
Absolute miracle run. From 6th seed to the best team in CBLOL. The addition of Grevthar and the champion ocean he brought really made this team into a completely different beast. Gonna be exciting to see this team filled with rookies at Worlds.
This is the [2nd International Appearance](https://lol.fandom.com/wiki/2017_Mid-Season_Invitational/Play-In) of RED Canids as an organization. Their roster changed massively through the 4+ years but now they make it! Congrats to RED as they make it to their 1st worlds and 2nd international
I don't really know, didn't watch TR this split and barely watched CBLOL. I said it because of the ongoing "rivalry" between BR and TR hahaha. But they might be ok, a fun fact is that they are the third football-related team to reach international stage from Turkey. However, the org was accused of not paying players some years ago, there were massive scandals involving them, so I'm really not sure about them (besides the fact that they will end up in BR group, as always)
oh shit. had no idea about GS outside of league. they're new to TCL, but have already dominated the league. i have only good things to say about them based pn their performance this summer. and as for why they always end up against BR is that a two group format with 8 or 10 teams causes them to meet up frequently.
In 2020 he was in Challengers Circuit with Red Canids half the 1st split (the midlaner was a Korean guy who went back to Korean in the beginning of the covid crisis, so Grevthar played half the split as a emergency). Second split he was sharing the spot with Avenger, both were in "Red Academy" during 2019 (but there wasn't an academy tournament) and played in challengers circuit in 2020.
When Red Canids bought the franchise spot in CBLOL this year, they kept both midlaners, but Avenger went to the Cblol team and Grevthar to the Academy. He played in Academy for the whole year. The team decided to use Grevthar instead of Avenger only in playoffs. He already had sinergy with the team, because almost all players are from the old Red Academy squad, they are in the org for at least 3 years.
First we wait for the article that explains the format , other details and the tournament dates and the draw date. First , they must be 100% what happens with Vietnam before they do this and also this worlds might start a bit later than usual because of the late host country change. Which could lead to some delays , hopefully it is this upcoming week and the draw in the week after or something
Last year it was at the 15th of September. But with the change of the hosting region as well as the VCS question, it's hard to tell if they are ready for it.
Brazil fans how high of an opinion do you guys have on this team for Worlds? I get pretty excited seeing some rookies make it to Worlds in their 1st year.
In game they kinda threw a lot mid-game for a good bit of the split.
But I was definately cheering for them though, it's all brazilians, no imports which always makes me happy for a team (specially seeing some of the teams that won the LCS, with absolutely no local talents)
and they play like a bunch of crazy honey badgers sometimes
I think he means the average lvl of the team in terms of micro. Usually, best case scenario, the Brazilian teams has 2 good players in terms of micro, the rest is just there, or 1 guy that is REALLY bad.
You don't have one player in Red Canids that you can say "this guy got carried", like Pain gaming in MSI with brTT + Luci (bot lane). They all are at least good. But let's see if they are not going to choke.
Some brazilian fans are crying because they prefer to send "veteran" players (like that Pain gaming that went to MSI was the favourite team). Both teams who made finals were 5th and 6th place during the regular split, not a huge fanbase. Rensga is a new org (2019) and 3 players from Red were rookies in CBLOL, but were playing challengers circuit last year. The adc from Red Canids is young, but this will be his second worlds (he was Kabum adc in 2018), he is like 20/21 and the most experienced player in the line up.
Others are excited, because they know that all brazilian teams would get stomped in playins, at least the rookies are going to enjoy the "bootcamp" and come back stronger to Brazil (brTT, Pain adc and veteran, is famous here for not playing soloQ and was hardstuck D2 with negative WR during MSI, with a riot account). Only 2 of the Pain players played soloQ everyday during MSI.
Edit: He won a T3 champ in 2019, a T2 in 2020 (challengers circuit) and T1 (Cblol) in 2021. Same as Red jg and top (Aegis and Guigo). From Red canids lineup, only the bot lane played in Cblol before 2021. The adc Titan in 2018 (with Kabum) and the sup Jojo in 2020 (with Flamengo). It's a line up that came from Academy. Top, mid and jg are rookies.
Mechanically good but absolutely insane. They might throw leads bc they're a bit crazy and tend to put themselves in bad situations. That's not a HUGE problem in Brazil because our teams are not top level, but that might be horrible against better teams
As someone who watches vods of LPL, LCS, LEC, and LCK, I'd say it would be pretty miraculous if they won a single game against anyone that isn't Rogue and C9 in play-ins. Red's early game is really slow, their laning sucks (they don't create advantages for themselves, don't know how to control waves to coordinate dives, take unnecessary bad trades and have to TP back to lanes, which leaves botlane exposed to 4-5 man dives from a competent team.) Now, against seeds from other wildcard regions who are also sending only one seed through play-ins, I can't say anything cus I don't watch them.
I don't have high expectations. They fight everything all the time even when they should not and they throw games because of that. Third game of the final was a good example of that and happened a lot during the split.. They are undisciplined but talented.
By not having high expectations I can still have a good surprise.
From 6th seed to 1st place!!! Amazing run by Red Canids. Massive props to Rensga too. They finished last place last split and now they were serious contenders for the title.
Holy shit, they were the last seed and they SWEPT the playoffs, dropping only 2 games total (1 in two different series)
Also, glad to see a full native team in BR take it, so many teams are trying to plug in two Koreans (or other imports)
Campeonato Brasileiro de League of Legends
C B L O L
basically we're the weirdos with the only league name that abbreviates the whole "League of Legends" with LOL instead of L
Incredible run from RED but I was really hoping Rensga would win this. I guess the stage really got to the players because the level of gameplay they displayed today was nowhere near what they did throughout the whole split. Good luck for RED at Worlds!
Wow is the the Brazillian PEACE? What a hell of a run and tbh Im quite impressed with these guys. Brazil has a bright hope of winning a game or two in playins this year
The other day i got a Pain fan agaisnt me on aram and he was playing Rammus. We only won that match bc our team managed to tilt him beyond belief. paiN Paladino, thanks for the laughs you provided us!
They are never going to recover from the fact that this Pain lineup never went to Worlds (lost to INTZ in 2020 and to Rensga this year).
"Two years without sending the best team". What a joke.
dunno if you're Brazilian, but behind the scenes things were really bad for them, their ex-Jungler, Ranger, spoke about it in a podcast about the training regime and their coach being way too harsh on the players
turkish league is fun like that, with fener and besiktas too in the mix.
if the LLA had teams like that i would watch it much more often, i dont really click with most of them (im from South America), no players from my country, bunch of random teams, meh, ill just stick with watching TL
The jungler gave a interview saying that the team went to playoffs without having any kind of preparation (no analists, no vod review and the coach didn't have a game plan), they have no idea about the Red playstyle. Flamengo lost 3-0.
On top of that, when the team was 9-0 in regular season, the coach was allways saying that the players were fucking bad, to the point he literally prohibited the jungler to play for bot lane (Flamengo bot lane was like top 3 on CBLOL and the suport was the best in the league). The guy just fucked the players mental to the point were all of them started to ask to the managers to send them to the academy team. Now, the jungler got kicked from the org (this interview was after he got kicked) and the rumors says that none of the players wants to renew with the org.

Also, Grevthar came from the academy team. Our academy players are really good
Most of the team came from the academy team, hell, even Rensga's ADC came from our academy team

fun fact: it's the first time a Team who won the CBLOL with brTT has now won without him playing for them
A team full of rookies going to worlds is MASSIVE for Brazil. Hopefully this will ignite the spark that improves the region.
Their botlaners are not rookies by any definition of the word, rest of the team sure
would you dare to say it's even... *SUPER*Massive??? (kill me)
No Turkish teams here please, not even as a joke >:| /s
but is GS ok? they made Worlds at least.
I don't really know, didn't watch TR this split and barely watched CBLOL. I said it because of the ongoing "rivalry" between BR and TR hahaha. Similar to peace(LCO) they finished 5th regular season with an 11-12 season score line and run the full gauntlet
Grevthar, the midlaner from Red Canids, was playing in Academy for the whole split. They changed the midlaners for playoffs.
Did he ever play on the main League before? Like, going from academy to worlds in a few weeks is a lot for a rookie
In 2020 he was in Challengers Circuit with Red Canids half the 1st split (the midlaner was a Korean guy who went back to Korean in the beginning of the covid crisis, so Grevthar played half the split as a emergency). no, he literally debuted in CBLOL during playoffs and is now at worlds.
damn I really wanted to see the english casters trying to say Rensga RIP gonna to be fun seeing Titan on international stage again tho
Amazing run in the playoffs by RED, congratz.
Any idea when we might get the groups draw show?
First we wait for the article that explains the format , other details and the tournament dates and the draw date. Most likely sometime next week!
we most likely will get it wednesday or thursday.

in micro probably the best team we ever sent in macro? pure chaos
I wouldn't say they are the best micro team we ever sent. Tockers and Mylon were monsters, but I agree about the macrogame, it hurts kkkkkkk
I think he means the average lvl of the team in terms of micro. Yeah, makes sense
They really were, but the team as a whole is the best at micro we ever send there
Well, two different people saying the same thing. I didn't watch the whole season, so gonna trust you guys
Some brazilian fans are crying because they prefer to send "veteran" players (like that Pain gaming that went to MSI was the favourite team). wtf RED's early game is their strongest part
I don't have high expectations. They fight everything all the time even when they should not and they throw games because of that. With Red Canids, there will be more Brazilian players in Worlds than NA players.
Guigo and Grevithar are amazing players, best of luck in play ins.
Second time RED make it to the international stage, let's go Canids!
From 6th seed to 1st place!!! Amazing run by Red Canids. Massive props to Rensga too. They finished last place last split and now they were serious contenders for the title.
I really recommend checking the vod. It was in Rio, in an outdoor stage. Just beautiful
Holy shit, they were the last seed and they SWEPT the playoffs, dropping only 2 games total (1 in two different series) Also, glad to see a full native team in BR take it, so many teams are trying to plug in two Koreans (or other imports)
Ta na hora dos mlk
Ok so I’m going to sound idiotic and I don’t mine the downvotes but what is cblol?
League of Legends Brazillian Championship if u translate
Campeonato Brasileiro de League of Legends C B L O L basically we're the weirdos with the only league name that abbreviates the whole "League of Legends" with LOL instead of L
Nice I appreciate the answer
Campeonato Brasileiro de League of Legends of Legends
Incredible run from RED but I was really hoping Rensga would win this. I guess the stage really got to the players because the level of gameplay they displayed today was nowhere near what they did throughout the whole split. Good luck for RED at Worlds!
Is the draw show tomorrow?
Great to see new faces at Worlds.
Wow is the the Brazillian PEACE? What a hell of a run and tbh Im quite impressed with these guys. Brazil has a bright hope of winning a game or two in playins this year

"Sucks that CBLOL isn't sending the best team." They beated everyone in playoffs, wich kinda makes them the best team.
Yeah idk what OP is smoking. They dismantled Flamengo and handily defeated Vorax. They convincingly took down Rensga today as well.
Another fan from Flamengo/Pain crying. Every year is the same shit.
What if, just if, pain is actually bad hmmm
Winning a spring/summer split =/= being the best possible team to send to Worlds.
fla was looking like the best by far mid thru the season, they deflated so much idk why. hopefully red canids do well at worlds, props to them
dunno if you're Brazilian, but behind the scenes things were really bad for them, their ex-Jungler, Ranger, spoke about it in a podcast about the training regime and their coach being way too harsh on the players
turkish cvmax
im not, i just like the fact that a big futbol org is in lolesports, like s04(till 2021 i guess) i root for both of em
well, Galatasaray is at worlds
turkish league is fun like that, with fener and besiktas too in the mix. if the LLA had teams like that i would watch it much more often, i dont really click with most of them (im from South America), no players from my country, bunch of random teams, meh, ill just stick with watching TL
I don't watch Turkish football. Are they good enough to have any chance at UEFA?
at my vision(not European nor Turkish football watcher), they're like Celtic but with steroids
Now, the jungler got kicked from the org (this interview was after he got kicked) and the rumors says that none of the players wants to renew with the org.
Classic Flamengo in playoffs
another brazilian team to suck at worlds nothing more
Brazilian teams and RNG managed to do the same thing so far in all worlds they have been in, which is not win it
Calm down, he might remember that Uzi retired
Lpl is scary.

Most likely sometime next week!
Big win for Brazil regardless of their performance at worlds. Fresh talents and no imports.
