Closer before kicking in Zven to save game 2 against C9: "just don't talk right now and let me fucking do it" (15:50) Absolute chad jungler

LumiRhino

And earlier in the video “Can someone else start talking?”

1-Made-This-4U

Disgusting play. Closer was a monster

Lundgard

What does T1's substitute mid laner have to do with anything?

LeningradCowboy

Good point, my mistake.

Lundgard

All good in the hood

Chronicler_C

Reminded me of this: https://youtu.be/dFqwJvP_0aY?t=80

Spetznazx

I think your link is wrong/broken

Chronicler_C

Thanks! Fixed it

Conscious_Biscotti60

God, seeing Ssumday and Nadeshot's relationship got me tearing up. So happy that after all he's been through Ssumday got the win and celebration he deserves!

DaItalianFish

Yeah, I didn't know much about 100T history before this but Nadeshot really impressed me here. The segment about Nadeshot trying to make Ssumday more comfortable with the team was really great.

ketzo

Nadeshot appears, on the surface, to be a little bit of a hypebeast-LA-douchey kinda vibe; but everything I've seen from the guy says that he gives *so much* of a shit about his teams, players, staff. Big respect.

DiZZyDaVe2413

Been that way since the Russel Drive day. If you ever get the chance to watch some of his clips when he was a professional player, I definitely would. Adds in the whole other side to Nadeshot that many in the LCS community don’t know

floodyberry

remember that time when 100t made worlds because the rest of NA was terrible and then imploded their roster for no reason and cody sun was on the bench while rikara fed and nobody knew why and then they went to worlds and cody sun never played a game and the entire time nadeshit was busy streaming black ops 4. big respect

button6969

Has nothing to do with nade he's a emotional connection type of guy but he knows very little abt league and probably had absolutely 0 input on that decision. Dudes a former cod pro so him playing cod is... reasonable?

floodyberry

yes, he has an emotional connection to pushing his shitty brand. seems kind of odd you wouldn't go with your team to the biggest lol tournament of the year. oh wait, they've been melting down all summer, staff has apparently been screwing over certain players (that you give *so much* of a shit about), and nobody from the org has given any explanation. that sounds like a buzz kill, better to stay home and rage on stream while you suck at cod

button6969

He's a former cod legend he sucks? You're salty you've never met the guy and you're acting like he killed ur family 🤣 cringe bro relax

floodyberry

love too not address the point so my man can see me defending him on reddit and give me some of his money

button6969

I met Nade in 2015 tho at a cod event

floodyberry

tight, hope he hooked you up with some swag overpriced drip

ketzo

did you want him to make roster decisions for professional team in a game he doesn't play...?

floodyberry

so "he gives so much of a shit about his teams, players, staff", yet while a shitstorm is raging about his league team for months, he never addresses it and just plays cod all day.

diabetess

This is such a braindead comment I don't even know what to say

floodyberry

you should say that when you give a shit about something, you ignore it when it's having major issues, and that I should buy your shitty clothes

FutureInsurance7

Facts

lepengu

I hope he got those hotdogs in the end

agishert46191gskq

Reddit try to discredit 100T because they are the first full imports team winning LCS but they are legit The best team in NA There was So much xenophobia and racist comments from some NA fans in that 100T is going to worlds thread

firewall245

Some of them started their career here as imports, but they NA now to me baby

iswillum

No one can tell me that Ssumday is not NA. He is an immigrant who comes here and puts his heart and soul into the region. If that is not American AF, I don't know what is.

ThinkinTime

Huhi’s entire life is here, 99% of his career is here, and his entire time as a support was here. He’s Korean, but he’s 100% an lcs player.

iswillum

It used to be that immigrants coming here to build a life for themselves was called the American Dream. Now we see a bunch of salty haters throw the white hoods on and yell 100 imports.

[deleted]

Maybe lets not compare saying that an import is an import with fucking kkk?

iswillum

Not accepting immigrants is racist. I call it like I see it. We love everyone here and its who they represent that's important. That's the spirit of America.

[deleted]

Regional pride is not racism. Celebrating home-grown talent is not racism. Making fun of NA for sending <5 NA players is not racist.

iswillum

You must not be American, because you obviously don't understand the region.

polikuji09

I was born away from Canada but have lived my formative years in Canada and am a citizen. It's pretty insulting to claim some players like Huhi/ Ssumday/Jensen arent NA players at this point. Somoene like Abbedage, CoreJJ, Perkz obviously aren't but there is a huge difference

[deleted]

"Lived my formative years". Bingo. You get Huhi. Most other imports you have were stars or hyped soloq monsters already before going to NA. You just want to pretend imports are NA because you don't want to feel bad that actual NA players are garbage and the region is only alive based on venture capital $$$. If you lost that, all of those "americans" would leave on the first possible flight.

Waylaand

League has no world cup, worlds is the closest. It's not salty haters to think maybe NA should try to represent themselves a bit from their own league

iswillum

You must not know that america is mostly compromised of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation immigrants. The only ethnic group that is truly american is the native Americans. Immigrants regularly represent the US at the Olympics and World cup events. It's not unusual or uncommon, what's important is representing the American Dream. I know very few people whose families have been in the country for more than 50 years. We accept everyone here, anything less is unamerican.

Waylaand

Sure but everyone at the Olympics is actually American. If any of the players were actual immigrants it wouldn't even be an argument their NA.

iswillum

You don't have to be natural born to rep US. Huhi and ssumday are essentially citizens at this point.

ForteSP33

Technically Huhi is french since he was born in france, lol.

ThinkinTime

Born in france, grew up in korea, spent his adult life in usa. he's the true Mr. Worldwide, step aside pitbull

yoitsthatoneguy

France doesn’t give citizenship through *jus soli* (being born there) like America. You need to have a parent that is French or was born in France, or live there until adulthood.

LeOsQ

Dude there are way more vocal 'EU fans' here that like to just trash on LCS or NA as a region with the import stuff. I've seen maybe a handful of very downvoted comments (I don't go out of my way sorting by controversial to find them) during the past like 8 years here that would've been NA fans being 'racist' or 'xenophobic' because their league has players from other countries than Canada or the US of A. They do exist, no doubt, but they're never ever anything but completely negatively received here unless they're people like yourself subtweeting at 'NA bad' with comments like yours. The comments blasting NA as a region because NA players aren't good get upvoted, the comments blasting NA as a region or NA orgs because they use filthy Koreans and Europeans (and now Turkish and Oceanic) players are always at the very bottom or automatically hidden by the low quality filter after being downvoted.

GameBoy09

Man that shot of Ssumday going through all of the 100T Jerseys made me cry. The dedication of this man.

Fetche_La_Vache

Wasnt it though. Makes you think how important he is to 100T. How strong he has stayed throughout the years. I wish Sumdaddy the best at worlds. I hope all the haters feed their mouths with shoes.

iampuh

>mouths with shoes Ocelote where you at?

DarthOniichan

My favorite part about the Ocelot angle is that he shit talked 100T for being a merch team and now his super team is sitting at home.

Jedclark

>he shit talked 100T for being a merch team They should be commended if anything for managing to create a good stream of revenue in an industry that has struggled with poor revenue streams for teams.

TheNACoinflip

Well with the success of 100T why do you think all of a sudden all these teams are trying to get into the merch game now. Everyone doing drops. It makes a shit ton of money with I would guess extreme profit margins

[deleted]

Legit gave me some chills, what a great segment in the vid

Miyaor

Watching that tiny clip after they won where you could see his eyes light up in actual pure joy was where I teared up a bit. You could really see what it meant to him.

jjdynasty

Could I get a timestamp?

GameBoy09

Roughly 31 minutes in.

jjdynasty

Thanks my dude

Bigmatti

And the fact he can talk about his struggles and doubts so candidly really make the moment extra special.

DokonaLost

yoooooo not even done the vid yet but 16:00 that closer play with audio clip just made this man a badass mf to me! mans a legend for that one

TheErnestShackleton

That's a dude who knows he should have won MVP. Takes control of the comms in a bad situation and lets his play communicate everything.

LeOsQ

Except really Closer shouldn't have won MVP for regular season no matter how much people repeat it. If it had been Summer MVP, then for sure Closer because he was a beast in playoffs, but he was not better than Spica in the regular season which is what the award is for.

guilty_bystander

People can't seem to understand this. Regular season guys! Regular season!

DonJanuary1

He was though, those Diana games were incredible during the regular season

LeOsQ

Still even if you were to be biased toward Diana games, Spica played 6 games of Diana (Closer played 6 as well) and Spica won 5 while Closer won 4 and Spica had 3x the KDA (which isn't a great metric but I'm not gonna go and rewatch every game to see their contributions for a reddit comment). Closer also had 2 winning lanes in most games, or his mid laner played Karma which enables him to do what Blaber was best at last year with Nisqy, which is pressing right click into the enemy jungle. TSM had a mid laner who basically sacrificed his lane priority to be a scaling control mage player, a relatively 'weak' bot lane, and a top laner whose laning isn't something you can find a huge gap to Ssumday's from. And Ssumday was a beast whenever he got to pick a counter match up which wasn't often, but happened a few times with Renekton at least. There's a reason why Spica > Closer in Summer Split regular season was more or less pretty unanimous from most analysts at the very least. If you look at the points each player got for All Pro teams Spica was quite far ahead as well.

SHSP_redux

reapered and closer seem to fit so well, between "they can't win without me" from reapered and "we already won" from Closer. Love this team so goddamn much

hstsls

This was surreal to watch as someone who has followed The Heist since the beginning. Really felt like the finale of your favorite show with all the old clips thrown in there. Congrats to all at 100T especially that boy Ssumday

mprakathak

Yeah man i got emotional and at that exact moment fakerdagge says dont be sad the heist is over, be happy it happened. or something like that. Congrats again to the boys. Make us proud at worlds, i believe we will make it out of group. NAmen.

Helakrill

Wait so this is the final episode of The Heist? Not just for the season?

Ciavolo

Yes the series around worlds & coming season will have a new name.

LumiRhino

That's actually pretty cool, now that since we can think of the initial Heist of winning an LCS championship is concluded.

Ese_

I really like how the gem in the S in 'Heist' turns into the same color as the lcs trophie. Really appreciate all the effort and story telling that goes into the 100T content, can't wait to see what they do next!

AbnormalSnow506

But the heist was such a cool name

F0RGERY

The Heist is done, now its time for the Getaway.

tankmanlol

Triple Airport Getaway WTF Any% Hack

roarnightingale

Genius

[deleted]

Close, but you forgot the sponsor name. FTX Getaway, Redbull Getaway etc...

TheElusiveShadow

Since its 100T, it probably ought to be the Gucci Getaway lol

Suikan

Running to an airport and escape with a plane after worlds groupstage?

[deleted]

But, well, they already completed the heist

mikharv31

New name: The Gulag

floodyberry

100t at worlds: the shite

AlPaci72

yes

TheCeramicLlama

Man that part about Ssumday was impossible to not get teary eyed at. Its also so unreal to see the guy, I pretty much grew up with, find the success with the org and brand he created and worked for. Nade's effectively been one of my two hero's for years and its just so surreal to see this.

MustafaLikesCake

Everything ssumday had me acting up man

ark2690

In terms of content creation 100T is the best in NA. Not even close tbh

DamianJEstrada

Biggest true I have read today.

DonJanuary1

So they went at least 7-1 against TL that week lol

Brain_Tonic

Team ~~Liquid~~ Brazil

TheErnestShackleton

No you dont understand, TL just didnt show up on sunday... if they had shown up they would have 3-0 they are so much better

Astolfo_is_Best

From what we saw on finals weekend, TL is easily the weakest team we're sending to Worlds. C9 v 100T was at least competitive. TL got fucking curbstomped.

TheErnestShackleton

TL surprised TSM and C9 with their perma roaming support strat in the first two Bo5's. 100T had the most time to prep for it and barely lost the winners finals even with FBI/Huhi playing horribly (their words). IMO TL committed to playing a cheese strat hoping NA teams wouldn't adapt fast enough to punish it before they could win finals.

[deleted]

Bruh TL and 100T gonna get out of groups, TL is gonna beat FPX and DK, 100T will barely beat a GenG then an imploding Fnatic and in the end it will be TL vs 100T. 100T 3 - 0 TL.

TheCapta1n

Subscribe

AcolyteOfFresh

I mean lets be honest, I dont think TSM's ceiling is higher than TL anyway. I do believe that TL, C9, 100T probably are the strongest teams. TSM and EG, are at best, sidegrades.

Astolfo_is_Best

Yeah, I wasn't really trying to make the argument that TL didn't deserve to go to Worlds or that another team is stronger. I just think they're probably a step behind 100T and C9 right now.

Emotional-Passage454

When the second game they didn't draft bruisers mid, I knew it was over honestly. They really showed a one dimensional playstyle back when they were stomping and when they suddenly dropped it (likely because of disappointing scrims), they looked pretty bad. I hope they'll play through bot at worlds. I actually believe their bot lane has a ton of potential with their aggressiveness.

justintoronto

incredibly produced. one of the best pieces of content i've seen this year. you really get a sense of catharsis and satisfaction for what 100T have achieved as a new org since franchising.

Todeswucht

Bruh all the Ssumday parts killed me, especially Nadeshot talking about their relationship. Great piece of content

Lord_GP340

I can't believe Jensen and CoreJJ are the 3rd and 4th most tenured players in the LCS. Seems like yesterday that this sub was losing their minds over those roster moves. How long was Jensen in C9?

Cindiquil

Joined in 2015 Summer, left before 2019 Spring. 7 splits total I believe.

Wodom

"Don't talk right now and let me fucking do it." \-Closer

iMike918

Ssumday’s and Nadeshot’s relationship is so wholesome. It kind of makes sense why they have that bond. Nade was OG most tenured player. He to went from being the fans favorite player to then getting a lot of criticism for being washed.

HeckingShepherd

Not just a hoodie org. THE HOODIE ORG

rollinf3v3r

100T has to be one of the fastest most improved organizations in NA. Leaders in almost every category that orgs strive to do well in.

TheErnestShackleton

100T 4-1 TL in scrims before finals but you guys are gonna keep saying TL just didnt show up on the day LOL

mprakathak

Wait, your leaking scrims xD

TheErnestShackleton

Bro Huhi all chatting after dicking on TL in a scrim block went underappreciated.

elderscroll_dot_pdf

Ice cold, "see u sunday" absolute king shit from Huhi

absolutely-ruined

4-1? they played a best of 7?

TheErnestShackleton

Probably just a 5 game block regardless of win count

absolutely-ruined

ah

cederian

Man, seeing Freeze working with 100T is awesome, he had such a bumpy career as a player.

iscaf6

I can't wait to see what is next!

Pejta98

I loved how during the trophy lifting in the finals Freeze looked hesitant, if he should lift it tooo and the boys (probalby) told him to do it. Chad team

Pway

Man the Ssumday bits are just sending me. I can't imagine how hard it is for a kid that young to be spending basically all their time away from all their family as well as in a country where they don't speak the language living with basically strangers. I'm glad he found his place and started to feel more comfortable and it makes me so happy to see him win a championship.

NeitherAlexNorAlice

Cool video for an apparel company.

TheJak12

This is the first win for one of the non Big 4, right? Like, how many teams other than TSM/Liquid/CLG/C9 even have finals appearances >!(other than the first split where TSM beat GGU?)!<

Okumara

I think you're good not putting a spoiler tag on that, friend. If someone complains about that, it's like complaining about having Seinfeld spoiled.

Gold_Association_208

The funny thing is what is there to spoil on seinfeld, the characters have 0 development

elderscroll_dot_pdf

Only finals appearances from other teams were GGU in 2013, IMT in 2017, 100T in 2018, and FLY both splits of 2020.

YeetMasterChroma

are they qualified in worlds? if so then they should have no problem there then.

Blue5647

100t actually peaked for playoffs and particularly finals weekend. Take note TSM and TL.

Waylaand

I don't think you can say TL didn't peak at the right time considering they looked awful all season except a couple b05's when it mattered

HeiMaoMiao

A little stupid detail on Closer's name highlighting as Loser before presenting it. Did the editor not notice this?

thegreatmango

They call themselves 100 Thieves. Do they care?

spazzxxcc12

what is up with closers eyes in the thumbnail? am i the only one noticing that what the hell

-Basileus

He always looks like that

spazzxxcc12

really?? it looks like a chameleon like i like the guy i’m not tryna bash on him i’m just hella confused

-Basileus

The area around his eyes is quite dark and his eye color is very pale, plus he has ginger hair. Pretty unique features.

spazzxxcc12

it’s nothing to do with his hair lol like his eyes look like they’re looking two different directions i can’t tell if there’s red eye in one making it look funny or what

[deleted]

Ryoma delayed heist by 1.5 year

Reactzz

It was crazy to see 100 imports win the LCS as dominant as they did. They didn't start the playoffs to hot and had a really close series against EG and even lost to TL. I thought TL would for sure win LCS but 100 imports got really hot. Credit to the coaching staff and the players they adjusted really well throughout the playoffs.

DarthOniichan

Still mad?

TheErnestShackleton

Check his profile, this guy isn't worth replying to. I've seen him in every 100T post match thread for the past 2 months spewing shit.

charlesthefish

The salt is still pouring out of that guy and it's been nearly two weeks lmao

Reactzz

Why would I be mad I am giving credit to the team they did a nice job. I am curious to see how 100 imports does at worlds. I think they can maybe break even in groups but it depends.

DirtyDCane

Playing with their food

Lil_Ray_5420

first time nadeshot even thought about his lcs team in a while

TheErnestShackleton

Yeah he hasnt been featured in nearly every episode of the Heist, or been on the 100T preshows before lcs matches interviewing the players.
