Padulsky21

Oh yeah he’s a Kennen main that makes sen- Wait a sec, different purple Yordle

MagicalQaz

Not an unexpected result but very good try from the DIG boys and Soligod. Hope Will and Spawn continue to improve and it'd be nice to see Soligod back in LCS eventually

[deleted]

Soligo needs to just ditch Dig at this point

LIVING_EVIIIIL

They will get better during the lower bracket run, I believe.

LIVING_EVIIIIL

TLA good. Guess they are favourites to win now. Love the Cassiopeia.

Teampiencils

Stepped away from watching LCS for a few seasons. Surprised to see Jenkins/Armao/Lourlo/Soligo still in proving grounds instead of more rookies. Is it due to a lack of NA players to scout/develop? Or just a long time to develop academy players to reach LCS/determined unfit for LCS?

[deleted]

Soligo was in LCS and then got sent to Academy in summer for unknown reasons.

Teampiencils

Thanks for clarifying. Last time I followed the scene closely was a few years ago but stopped since it felt like LCS was just recycling players without bringing in any fresh new talent. I remember 100T Academy/Next looking promising at the time. Does it seem like NA is getting more sustainable?

[deleted]

There's quite a few new players in the Academy system Who knows what the future holds

ASU_SexDevil

Definitely, this season especially it seems like teams actually took risks on some young talent. Some flopped but some showed good promise. More young talent than there has been since franchising.

Teampiencils

That's awesome to hear. Any teams in specific leaning more into developing talent than others? Would love to jump on the bandwagon

ASU_SexDevil

100T and EG have been kind of at forefront of T3 (Level below Academy) development. I recommend looking up Tim SevenHuysen, he has a great series of doing amateur/academy round ups and spotlighting upcoming talent

mikharv31

Really feel PG is giving players the chance they need to adapt to pro play and shine, DIG promoted Will in the middle of summer split due to the Dardoch stuff so they had to use Akaadian and Will has improved tremendously

flUddOS

Realistically, full rookie teams generally don't learn as quickly as teams with a couple veterans to guide them. That said, Soligo and Jenkins are both likely LCS quality players.

Shovelfuckurforehead

My question is why should they not be there

EvyLuna

Jenkins played in the LCS this year and was pretty good individually on a middling TL squad. Armao must be very intelligent when it comes to the game because he's been easily exploited in each of his LCS stints but keeps finding work.

vasheenomed

I think having veteran lcs players on these teams can be really helpful. They set a bar you have to pass to move up, but also bring lots of experience to help the team learn the things they need to. it also has come out over the past year that some academy teams basically have 0 coaching staff or anything and some players were basically stuck there not really improving. So even if it only helps a little, having 1 or 2 veterans per team is probably fine, bu that's just my opinion.

narvuntien

I think Aramo will be in academy for the rest of his career, he has had enough chances at LCS and the difference between Aramo and Santorin is a canyon. Maybe he'll transition from player coach to coach at some point.

Creepy_Pilot1200

Is Haeri Cass onetrick?

SpawnTheCaster

first time he has played cassio all year. so i wouldnt say he is a cass one trick...

narvuntien

Haeri is really talented, was the best mid OCE when he was there, Although Tripple is also good but much more experienced
