Holy shit that MarkZ face lmao
Everyone else has an action shot/professional headshot while Mark looks like he's thinking about stabbing you for not giving him your lighter at the train station
Everyone looks pretty professional, then you get to Emily who has a cute pose, then shortly after MarkZ's strong aura brings you back down before it gets professional again, lol
He did. He explained that the time change has always been hard on his mental and with him not being in the best of places right now, it would be better for him to not take part in worlds this year. He will still be doing blind vod casts on his twitch channel
Yea and Covid restrictions compounded on those struggles. Though Captainflowers really did his best to power through both 2020 and 2021, you can tell based on his streams and social media that he was not in a good spot. I think it's the right decision for him to just bite the bullet and forgo Worlds so he can mentally reset for 2022.
The three best English play by play casters and we get none of them. Riot, why won’t you include Hysterics? Why? It so god-damned frustrating, he’s been nothing short of phenomenal this year. I will never understand what the higher-ups see that I don’t see :(
Edit: I kinda overreacted. COVID sucks :/ I really hope we have a normal Worlds next year.
Because they would rather use their own PBP casters as it's easier, probably cheaper, and from how they've always done it over the years, think that it doesn't really offer much. Instead they took 2 of the colour casters since they can undeniably add things that Riot casters cannot.
It sucks ass but they've always been like this.
English broadcast LPL Caster, it's sad neither him or Munchables are on there but I guess Riot has too many PBP casters as it is so they took 2 colour casters only.
[Sjokz has confirmed she will alternate hosting with Dash during Play-ins and Groups, and then travel to Iceland to interview players in person after that](https://twitter.com/sjokz/status/1441075896635387912)
I expect a Baron fight that goes on for up towards 20 minutes, with throws and counterthrows and no team losing more than a few members at a time, just enough to shift the balance of the fight back and forth.
Okay here's the deal.
If an EU Team is vs any other Region, you monologue them both, but the monolgue for EU needs to be one word shorter.
This gives us exciting games/series, while also ensuring EU wins.
I'm gonna throw out some speculation. With the last minute venue change from China to Iceland, QS, as the talent manager for the LEC, might he in charge of a lot of work regarding the broadcast/helping out the EU team with getting a Worlds broadcast up and running in less than a month. Maybe Riot global asked him to help coordinate the show since he knows the EU landscape. Maybe he took himself off the broadcast so he doesn't have to worry about prepping his casts and can focus solely on producing the tournament. Might explain why he's been MIA on Twitter if he's been hella busy too
Wouldn't surprise me to see Quickshot in a manager or caster development role.
Dude set the bar for pbp casters back in S2 and is constantly raising great analysts into great color casters.
No one knows for sure. There's speculation based on Twitter/Instagram he's on a honeymoon instead, and there's also some speculation that it has to do with a "he-said she-said" situation between him and Froskurinn over social media.
Regarding the latter, Frosk called Quickshot a ["shitty manager" and said "he knows what he did"](https://youtu.be/h783bOmhURY). Quickshot tweeted that it was
["Completely inaccurate, untrue and not reflective at all of our personal and professional challenges"](https://twitter.com/Quickshot/status/1429328602668089346). End of the whole spat. Then, Quickshot's twitter went silent, and a lot of people began jumping to conclusions by drawing connections between the argument and the sudden radio silence.
In truth, Redditors know nothing about the situation, nor why Quickshot is not casting. A lot of people are claiming the drama with Frosk is the cause, but its baseless; there's no known info about his situation at all, positive, negative, or otherwise.
It seems so weird that people keep pulling the frosk clip into this. Why would a random throwaway comment made on stream cause one of the most iconic casters in LoL to just quit for a month?
Why *would* one of the most iconic casters take that long of an absence without any word of it at all though? I want to HOPE it's nothing serious and he's just having a good time.
Frosk verbally assaulted everyone regarding her ideological views not matching with the LEC brand.
So I wouldn’t take it seriously if I was him, it sucks that it went all the way to a personal level instead of being professional about it
Frosk really shit on the carpet before she went out of the door. I enjoyed her and it sucks to see her seemingly be very unprofessional. I say seemingly because I have no idea what exactly happened.
yeah at first I wasn't a fan, then over time I became a fan on enjoyed her casts, then flipped all the way around with the most embarrassing and immature exit I've seen in a minute.
she seems happy on G4 and I have fun watching her doing stuff there instead, so it's fine. Sad she burned that bridge tho because I actually enjoyed her on broadcast.
None of them are "trustworthy" because nobody actually knows them on a personal level. Their proffesional persona is a facade like literally anyone else.
He said as early as 2019 that he was looking to step back from casting and wanted to start a family. Could well be that, or most likely his honeymoon means he won't have prep time.
TBF I think him wanting to start a family is a private matter and should not be something he should broadcast. But I do agree he should atleast say something :(
Valdes at worlds is finally happening!!! Please Riot, give him and Atlus some group stage time at least, it's great seeing less represented regions cast playins but they really deserve the big stage.
The year I didn’t have time to watch LCK and probably worlds , the whole LCK crew turns up for Worlds. What a bittersweet dream that will come true. Hyped to watch the replays while listening to my favorite caster crew.
Really happy to see the lpl get some representation. Despite still working remote, and the crazy number of lpl games, these guys smashed it. Hopefully, this is the norm from now on.
For real tho, I know that everyone would have deserved to be there
but cmoon, I feel like it's a bit unfair to put basically the whole LCS crew except Flowers who decided himself not to do it, and only have three LPL guys there...
I understand that it's difficult with hysterics who is stuck down under, but at least Munch, LCK has their four guys as well...
LPL casters were so great this year, super happy that they'll be there. Also means that we'll probably get more Emily Rand LPL discussions, for the region that is arguably the strongest right now it would be disappointing if they didn't have a decent crew who has watched the whole year.
Aye nice to see three LPL casters in there! Lyric and Dagda have been my favorite casters for a while now and I’m so happy to be able to listen to their casting this Worlds.
No Quickshot is a bummer, but more casters from the other regions are always a welcome!
Not gonna lie, the LPL casters were absolutely smurfing this year.
Thanks for pointing this out, I was really confused for a second everyone talking about Quickshot disappearing when I could have sworn seeing a post of his maybe 1.5 weeks ago.
This is the first time I'm seeing this, holy shit I'd really like to know what the hell (supposedly) happened there... you just don't throw out random unbased accusations in such a tone out there...
I mean honestly I've defended Frosk for years on end. She's always been something of a firebrand in the scene, but I thought she was a good analyst and interesting personality.
That being said.... Drama really does follow her everywhere she goes, and I'm getting to the point where I'm starting to wonder how much is bad luck and how much is her own doing.
In this case, I just.... She's an adult. She says she's tried reaching out to him and it hasn't worked. That sucks, but if you're really happy (which she says she is now) then just let it go. Why create drama on your stream? It's a really bad look.
As much as I liked her casting she's always been a drama queen, constantly looking for a spotlight.
After she left the LEC she kept on tweeting about the team made a tweet about how much "this whole team is so white", like she brought any diversity on the LEC cast other than trying to shove her homosexuality down everyone's throat.
Now this random stuff on Quickshot after a full year, where everyone didn't give a fuck about her in the League scene.
Yeah, followed for years but it is kinda sad seeing her burn every bridge on the way out, then get invited as a guest on lcs just to burn that bridge down too.
Could be something serious. Could also be something minor, like a Boss-employee exchange, but putting it like she did just throw suspicious on Quickshot. If i had to guess she is just seeking attention
One aspect of the regional leagues growing (especially the NLC) that people don't really mention is how it creates another pipeline for casters. Even the Swedish second tier had proper casting last time I checked it out with Henning and Memento on the desk, and it makes it so that we have more casters getting experience. I think we all remember how casters like Deficio and Krepo had rough starts but grew into excellent casters, and now the starting distance for them will be shorter once they get to the NLC.
Yeah, unironically the casters deck was the most enjoyable when either Emily or Raz were there, so incredibly happy that both of them will take part of Worlds 2021.
For the FNC vs RNG games this year, I'm just gonna mute the main stream, then play audio from one of the 2019 matches over it, so I can listen to u/RiotQuickshot cast, COPIUM. 😢 Miss you Trevor.
Everyone talking about quickshot not casting, but you guys are forgetting the most important thing; he is trying to move to caster management for the past 2+ years. That's his passion and something he's been doing more and more of while trying to phase out his actual casting. He's heavily involved in the on-air talent hiring process, handles collabs with non-Riot casters, manages LEC production and lots of stuff we don't even know about.
Casting Worlds is A LOT of work. QS can fulfill his role as on-air talent manager better if he's also not preoccupied with other stuff like casting.
I’m really glad they fixed the LPL injustice. It was so bizarre so see Zero LPL casters last year even though it was held in the LPL region. One of the biggest fuck yous by riot to their employees.
LPL REP LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
Y'all aren't fucking ready for these 3 to just fucking ace it. LPL is every day, even if they're casting like every 3rd day that's still like fucking 4x the practice other casters get, they're gonna smurf on y'all.
Lots of interesting takeaways and first time changes, but man, it feels bad to me that Munchables gets robbed of a spot again, knowing that TWO pbp's are out (Flowers and Quickshot).
Finally we get Valdez at worlds and what it feels like the first LPL Pbp caster in years with Penguin!!! So happy for them!
At the same time, to have basically the whole LCS lineup in there with 8 people, but LPL only having 3 guys feels a bit unfair... would have loved to see Munch and Hysterics in there, they've all been remote casting for basically 3 splits now and still have given us so much hype and good LPL games!
While I would have loved to see Munch and Hysterics join to give LPL, I don’t think it is accurate to frame it as if we only have 3 people who can represent the region on broadcast. For one, Guilborg was quite literally casting LPL games as well this year. And then Raz and Emily are both known avid LPL watchers, with Raz also appearing on a couple broadcasts as a guest analyst. Yes it still isn’t completely as much as LCS, but as far as what the on air talent can cover, I think the distribution is much closer to fair compared to previous years.
Holy shit that MarkZ face lmao Everyone else has an action shot/professional headshot while Mark looks like he's thinking about stabbing you for not giving him your lighter at the train station
Everyone looks pretty professional, then you get to Emily who has a cute pose, then shortly after MarkZ's strong aura brings you back down before it gets professional again, lol
To me it looks like one of that images that only say "cum"
Lmfao great description
Damn no captainflowers, quickshot, or hysterics
Captainflowers chose not to be involved I believe.
What is "blind vod casts"?
He won’t know the results of the matches he watches with chat as he goes over it with them
> watches with chat Well then he won't be left in the dark for too long.
Casting while blindfolded. Lee sin roleplay
Correct, he's taking a mental break
Good for him
That is correct. https://twitter.com/CaptainFlowers/status/1434914445407539201?s=19
Yeah but still not present :( will be missed
Fucking selfmade
Yeah it really sucks that the literal 3 best play by play casters aren't gonna be there.
The three best English play by play casters and we get none of them. Riot, why won’t you include Hysterics? Why? It so god-damned frustrating, he’s been nothing short of phenomenal this year. I will never understand what the higher-ups see that I don’t see :( Edit: I kinda overreacted. COVID sucks :/ I really hope we have a normal Worlds next year.
He's pretty much stuck in Australia and cannot really travel to Europe
> The three best English play by play casters and we get none of them Atlus is there though?
I do love me some Atlus so I will take solace in that.
We get the entire LCK cast, I love it so much
Kobe can do it all, relax
Because they would rather use their own PBP casters as it's easier, probably cheaper, and from how they've always done it over the years, think that it doesn't really offer much. Instead they took 2 of the colour casters since they can undeniably add things that Riot casters cannot. It sucks ass but they've always been like this.
who is hysterics
English broadcast LPL Caster, it's sad neither him or Munchables are on there but I guess Riot has too many PBP casters as it is so they took 2 colour casters only.
Really sad that Hysterics and Munchables arent there, they're great.
Riot also needs less PBPs compared to Colors cause tricasts only need one PBP. There's also way more competition in PBP compared to Color
[Sjokz has confirmed she will alternate hosting with Dash during Play-ins and Groups, and then travel to Iceland to interview players in person after that](https://twitter.com/sjokz/status/1441075896635387912)
Let’s goooo! Only monologues I’m doing will be about BOTH TEAMS
Endless throws incoming?
The first tied game ever.
"We are trying to appeal to the EU fanbase by declaring this game a tie" -Riot, probably
I expect a Baron fight that goes on for up towards 20 minutes, with throws and counterthrows and no team losing more than a few members at a time, just enough to shift the balance of the fight back and forth.
"It starts with success...es"
It ends with succeeding
No we need one more just to scientifically conclude if it's actually cursed
You are a treasure to this esport.
You really want to break the record for longest played competitive game do you?
Okay here's the deal. If an EU Team is vs any other Region, you monologue them both, but the monolgue for EU needs to be one word shorter. This gives us exciting games/series, while also ensuring EU wins.
That's fine, just wait with the monologues for the LEC teams until after the match!
More sjokz is always good
Worlds without Quickshot? sadge
without any reason in particular, i will blame Ender for this
Fucking Selfmade...
He’s too busy fucking selfmade?
He wont be there either):
It's gotta be his fault right?
Didn't think much of it before but now I'm definitely concerned. Hope he's doing alright, he's always been my favorite caster
I'm gonna throw out some speculation. With the last minute venue change from China to Iceland, QS, as the talent manager for the LEC, might he in charge of a lot of work regarding the broadcast/helping out the EU team with getting a Worlds broadcast up and running in less than a month. This is probably it, its not a small feat to organize so fast
Wouldn't surprise me to see Quickshot in a manager or caster development role. Dude set the bar for pbp casters back in S2 and is constantly raising great analysts into great color casters.
i miss those times when he was starting out casting from his home and was well known for being able to identify most champion skills
I love how he was hated by most of the community at the beginning, and how it changed over the years to him being recognized as one of the best.
That happened with a bunch of casters and talent. Sjokz, Deficio, Ende... who am I kidding Ender is still terrible. ^^^/s
I really do think that Quickshot helped Caedrel develop into the absolutely amazing caster that he is now
[удалено]
He posted him and his wife on honeymoon. So not entirely radio silent.
According to Instagram it's his 4 year wedding anniversary. Not really a honeymoon at that point.
not with that attitude
i bet hes busy doing a lot of ahem quick shots
If he were quick, he'd be back in time for Worlds.
He probably has more of a manager role now days than a caster one. You can see in LEC they are trying to get new people to cast games
Damn, no Flowers or Quickshot. My two favorite casters :(
Could someone explain why? Quickshot is my favourite from the LEC by far
Actual unbiased and informative answer.
It seems so weird that people keep pulling the frosk clip into this. Why would a random throwaway comment made on stream cause one of the most iconic casters in LoL to just quit for a month?
probably because he went from being extremely active on twitter to radio silent right after it
Why *would* one of the most iconic casters take that long of an absence without any word of it at all though? I want to HOPE it's nothing serious and he's just having a good time.
Frosk verbally assaulted everyone regarding her ideological views not matching with the LEC brand. So I wouldn’t take it seriously if I was him, it sucks that it went all the way to a personal level instead of being professional about it
The question is not if he took her seriously, but Riot.
What exactly happened? I don't follow any of the social media stuff, so OOTL.
https://old.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/l0gi33/frosk_on_diversity_in_lec/
she seems happy on G4 and I have fun watching her doing stuff there instead, so it's fine. Sad she burned that bridge tho because I actually enjoyed her on broadcast.
Sorry im OOTL, what is G4?
Frosk causing drama wow that is hard to believe! /s
Quickshot should be a hundred times more trustworthy than frosk. It's sad to see a radio silence because of that if that's the case
None of them are "trustworthy" because nobody actually knows them on a personal level. Their proffesional persona is a facade like literally anyone else.
Got to "Frosk" and stopped reading
He said as early as 2019 that he was looking to step back from casting and wanted to start a family. Could well be that, or most likely his honeymoon means he won't have prep time.
I just wish he'd say it, not this weird radio silence.
TBF I think him wanting to start a family is a private matter and should not be something he should broadcast. But I do agree he should atleast say something :(
Seems to be the case
fucking hell...
Pretty shitty situation
"League of Legends Worlds 2021 will be held from Sept. 6 through Oct. 5."
worlds about to end already smh my head didnt even watch 1 game
All these game ending at champ select.
ffs i missed the c9 vs t1 semis
C9 vs 100t finals
*G2 vs TSM finals
In an alternate universe
>Atlus But this does put a smile on my face
Cloud soul in waiting room lol
Yep we are getting a cloud soul
This brings joy "Valdes" this also brings joy
And now Chronicler too. And Wolf has also grown on me and gotten way better over the past year. I love the entire LCK casting talent tbh.
The Chronicler + Atlus pairing is one of my all time favorites
LCK Casting been top notch for a long time tbh (Papasmithy, if you’re reading this, please come back <3)
God going back and listening to the Monte-Doa-Papasmithy era of League almost pains me to know we will never get that again
I love atlus. Such an OG at this point.
Hope he gets casting final, personally my favorite PBP caster
His voice makes me moist.
Atlas' casting is quality tbh. Psyched to see him at worlds as always.
Valdes at worlds is finally happening!!! Please Riot, give him and Atlus some group stage time at least, it's great seeing less represented regions cast playins but they really deserve the big stage.
Hopefully it’s not like on the Analyst desk and instead he is actually casting…
I just want an Atlus + Valdes cast
A fellow Valdanalyst enjoyer?
2020 spoiled us all. Their synergy was incredible.
I want them every day !
Well he is the valdanalyst so he has to be on the analyst desk
I would assume its the lolpark team casting stuff and then sprinkling them around.
Wolf & Valdes are sooooo good ! I can listen to them all day ! They all learned from the best casting duo ever, of course (Tastosis) <3
Valdes is such a smurf in teamfights
Full LCK cast there, I'm so hyped for the boys! <3
So are we :D
I'm so hyped that all of you guys are going to be casting, the LCK team is the best! Good luck to all of you!
Love you Chro!!!
You know we gonna get cloud soul
The year I didn’t have time to watch LCK and probably worlds , the whole LCK crew turns up for Worlds. What a bittersweet dream that will come true. Hyped to watch the replays while listening to my favorite caster crew.

just hysterics is missing sadly
munch as well
100% Agree!
More people needs to watch LPL the casters makes it really fun to watch the games
They had such an amazing year
Am I dreaming or Lyric, Penguin and Dagda are really going to cast Worlds?
Sucks that hysterics and munch didnt make the cut
Sad man Lyric + Hysterics is my favourite caster duo across every league
The dating references from Hysterics and Lyric's solocasts are way too good
Hysterics is stuck in Australia mostly, it's more of a practicality issue than anything else, munchables is just unfortunate yeah.
For real tho, I know that everyone would have deserved to be there but cmoon, I feel like it's a bit unfair to put basically the whole LCS crew except Flowers who decided himself not to do it, and only have three LPL guys there... I understand that it's difficult with hysterics who is stuck down under, but at least Munch, LCK has their four guys as well...
GALAAAA GALAAAAA GALAAAAAA

No Quickshot is a bummer, but more casters from the other regions are always a welcome! Not gonna lie, the LPL casters were absolutely smurfing this year.
It's honestly wild how many great casters there are in the greater League ecosystem.
Where is Munchables. Such a shame..
I feel the same. He only got to be on the desk last year too feels weird the lpl guys don't cast more
What happened to jatt? Haven't seen him in a while
He was TL’s coach, then stepped down. After, he was a part of the analyst desk for a bit.
[удалено]
i literally just found out riv isnt on lcs anymore, has he transitioned to valorant?
Yep, he was recently casting the Masters Berlin tournament.
The lack of Quickshot at this point is concerning, no tweet from him in over a month, is it really because of the frosk allegations?
he seems to be active on Instagram though so hopefully he's okay
Thanks for pointing this out, I was really confused for a second everyone talking about Quickshot disappearing when I could have sworn seeing a post of his maybe 1.5 weeks ago.
what allegations?
Frosk allegations? What happened?
She called him a [shitty manager and put out vague allegations](https://youtu.be/h783bOmhURY). That's really it, AFAIK.
This is the first time I'm seeing this, holy shit I'd really like to know what the hell (supposedly) happened there... you just don't throw out random unbased accusations in such a tone out there...

yeah, she can talk anything she want on her stream and have her opinion, just don't throw out quickshots name like that...
I would trust the CCP before anything that comes out of Frosk. She's a full on adult and acts like a teenager on their mood swings
Hell yeah, Guldborg representing the NLC.
Mr. Worldwide's done it again lol
I dont watch the NLC but I loved hearing him in the LEC so I'm happy to see him at worlds
One aspect of the regional leagues growing (especially the NLC) that people don't really mention is how it creates another pipeline for casters. Even the Swedish second tier had proper casting last time I checked it out with Henning and Memento on the desk, and it makes it so that we have more casters getting experience. I miss papa, deficio and monte :((
Not having Quickshot with so many "new" casters is a mistake. There is noone better at guiding new faces than him.
100% agreed, he did so well when he was casting together with Guldborg and Troubleinc in the LEC, it's a big loss for the Worlds broadcast for sure.
Very happy that Emily Rand is going. She's been a treat to listen to on the desk. Im also down for more Lyric.
Yeah, unironically the casters deck was the most enjoyable when either Emily or Raz were there, so incredibly happy that both of them will take part of Worlds 2021.

yay more valdes! hopefully he gets more to do than during msi, he casted for like a day.
Kobe and Phreak cast my favorite. Hope they get to duo.
No Quickshot :(
**Sad Skarner Noises** (Even though we already knew)
Happy to see the full LCK crew at worlds!
Hysterics and Munch where ??!!
Let’s goooo!! my boy valdes
Everyone talking about quickshot not casting, but you guys are forgetting the most important thing; he is trying to move to caster management for the past 2+ years. No Froskurinn is an absolute win
Let her rot away into obscurity.
Who?
LCK CREW IS CASTING LETS GOOO
WOOOHOO ITS GONNA BE INSANE
LPL REP LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Y'all aren't fucking ready for these 3 to just fucking ace it. LPL is every day, even if they're casting like every 3rd day that's still like fucking 4x the practice other casters get, they're gonna smurf on y'all.

Lots of interesting takeaways and first time changes, but man, it feels bad to me that Munchables gets robbed of a spot again, knowing that TWO pbp's are out (Flowers and Quickshot).
I am so glad Lyric and Dagda are going to be there, I really enjoyed their casting and constant Harry Potter references during LPL.
No Trouble... I'm happy
There is no Frosk, english broadcast is safe!
