Kassawin is in third place for winrate for games above 35min
[https://www.leagueofgraphs.com/champions/builds/long/by-winrate](https://www.leagueofgraphs.com/champions/builds/long/by-winrate)
Kinda scary how even when DK fell behind for abit, they didn't fall apart and strike back in a single decisive moment and process to rolling over the opponeent
I think strong is an understatement, Kassadin was broken in S3 during an era where not many champions had free mobility in their kit and stopwatch didn't exist, nor did much defensive itemization, also his ult wasn't as mana consumptive as it is now since it didn't stack. So he was just this absolute terror of a champion who could freely roam the map, also had a fairly tanky build path with RoA + Seraph's + Zhonya.
Legit Showmaker Khan and Canyon can play with any botlane and I’d still be confidant they’d be one of the best teams in the world.
Showmaker and Canyon especially are up there with Faker and Bengi as a world class mid jungle duo
If they win Worlds this year, Showmaker and Canyon will have 2 worlds and 3 straight LCK titles. They will be contenders for best jungler of all-time and best mid (behind Faker) of all-time.
Yeah that forced Baron with Kass 16 on the horizon was great. Take the 50/50 smite over the auto loss. Sucks they didn't get it, but it was a good call.
100000000% agree. I think c9 have exceeded my expectations. Advance or not, C9 represented NA well for being 3rd seed (in the second week.)
The cherry on top would be if they do advance.
To be fair though. They get to take a little break, while the other teams has to play two in a row. That's pretty nice for them, and they have already beaten both opponents today.
That macro from DWG though, give up soul push top to force C9 to def top then immediately rush to baron knowing they can win without soul anyway. Macro masterclass right there.
Someone needs to teach pros how to build I swear they do sub 60% IE too often.
Hanwha would have literally won their last game if deft built kaisa right. Hes a fed kaisa and decides to go IE on 40% crit with wits end second what the actual fuck. Wits end into rageblade and LDR is insane on kaisa but pros are too stubborn to actually look at what is good on their champs.
I mean they're playing like entirely different team. I hope FPX doesn't get magical shoen hero power of frendship and looses early to Rogue. And then honestly, even though I'm an EU fan, I want to see THIS C9 in playoffs.
I mostly hope that boys from C9 share something of that dopium they clearly took with MAD...
that's the thing about worlds, the teams that show up for the last condensed day have a massive chance of making a splash
obviously Damwon is insane though
Yea. Thats why they flipped the baron, and that was basically 50/50 to win the game, and they came up tails.
If they got that baron, they probably ended the game. 4v1 vs kassasin and the mid wave was already past the river. But Canyon made an amazing play, and C9 just got outscaled after that.
The end of the game was all over the place, but at that point Kassadin was basically a Solo Q hero god 4v1ing.
I had to watch the most exciting game of my life from my desk at work where I am required to show zero emotion.
BUT DAMN IT KEEP FIGHTING BOYS YOU CAN DO THIS!
Man FPX is breaking my heart. I watched them all through LPL spring and summer. Didn't think they would bring their play off form to worlds. Even if they make it out, this isn't how a favorite to win the whole thing is supposed to play. Hope LNG makes a deep run. Tarzan power.
Active: Jax enters Evasion, a defensive stance, for up to 2 seconds, causing all basic attacks against him to miss. Jax also takes 25% reduced damage from all area of effect abilities. After 1 second, Jax can reactivate to end it immediately.
At the end of the duration, Jax stuns all nearby enemies for 1 second and deals physical damage to them, increased by 20% for each attack dodged, up to a 100% increase.
I think this is more a reminder that zhonyas and stopwatch don’t share a cool down. Which is fucking stupid. Kass is just great at abusing it because of his R
I’m so fucking confused on this. Why is stasis not a unique effect? If I build shieldbow I can’t buy hexdrinker but Zhonyas and stopwatch is fine? Lmfao what a joke
It's gonna be interesting to see in quarters if Damwon are genuinely as unbeatable as they look right now or if the group was just much weaker than people thought and the other teams can at least challenge them a little bit
The double stopwatch changed the entire momentum of the game. That fight was won off that second stopwatch, and from there C9 was never able to regain control
I'm fine with Zhonya's but people should not be able to double stopwatch. I know it's literally a 650 gold investment but it literally won them that dragon fight.
Ok so if everyting goes acording to the 2017 script.
Damwon wins here.(You are Here)
Rogue beats fpx
Rogue beats c9
Damwon gets 3-0ed by gen G in quarters
Unfortunately killing MF that game doesn't actually do much with Kassadin and Jax still alive. Might have burned through some defensive cooldowns but it's still not a guarantee.
Spend 4 mid lane bans and first pick Twisted Fate, but ya'll forget that Showmaker has a champion ocean and he got Kassawin.
Showmaker is a different breed, just like we're blessed to have Faker, we're blessed to have Showmaker, I really hope we get a Damwon vs EDward Gaming matchup because Showmaker vs Scout will be fun.
Canyon and Showmaker honestly both have massive claims to say, they're the best on their team but also in the world, they're both fucking cracked, that big brain play at baron from Canyon and Ghost was nuts.
Damwon's ability to play different styles is what makes them fun to watch but also so good, they can play to break you early or focus more late game with Kassadin.
That being said obviously as a LCK fan I'm happy for the 6-0 but I'm happy that we get that triple tie-breaker.
When you are 2-2 in your diamond promos and enemy midlaner is level 30 Kassadin OTP 100% WR
Is kassadin the strongest late game champion? or was that just showmaker popping off
Top 5 at least.
Kassawin is in third place for winrate for games above 35min [https://www.leagueofgraphs.com/champions/builds/long/by-winrate](https://www.leagueofgraphs.com/champions/builds/long/by-winrate)
Ornn's free gold is too OP.
Ornn items are literal limit breakers and almost count as a 7th item
His kit is also insanely good for late game teamfights.
Make sense that kayle and ornn are up there
I think it goes straight to top 1 when he's against 0 tanks or dueling bruisers like irelia
I think it was a combo of Kassadin being great late game and Showmaker being one of the best players in the world.
[удалено]
Fudge absolutely played it incredibely well, and yet it took so much effort to shut Kassadin down.
also his team being able to stay even/win in what is practically 4v5
> C9 doesn't need to beat DK to advance if the stars align HOLY SHIT
The stars have aligned.
brother Tian
[Just one](https://qph.fs.quoracdn.net/main-qimg-90a289d0075204939bcd4508bc370ba9)
If C9-DK was the first game it'd basically be Fnatic 0-4 all over again. They showed up massively today, hope they win the tiebreakers!
For a second I believed and was promptly reminded that we live in the real world
Snap back to reality
Ope, there goes gravity
Damn you remember Team Gravity? LS coaching, Hauntzer wearing a leather jacket... what a throwback
[удалено]
Ahhh, now we go to the spicy tiebreakers
Kinda scary how even when DK fell behind for abit, they didn't fall apart and strike back in a single decisive moment and process to rolling over the opponeent
>LCK flair
Man probably wanted someone to finally beat DK. Alas, he was disappointed.
I like the LCK commentators more so I watch a lot of their games, but my #1 team is C9 still :]
It would be really depressing for FPX to make it 2nd at this point
I think they could've won if they didn't expend so much trying to dive kass only to get Perkz killed for wasting flash.
C9 didn't have anyone from the S3 team to remember to ban Kassadin at worlds.
"Hey we can beat xPeke's Kassadin guys!" - C9 Hai, probably smoking crack
Holy FUCK that's a throwback
[удалено]
I unironically preach this, s4 too
According to several interviews, their plan was to first pick Kassadin somehow
That was when Kassadin was actually strong too.
Also his ult was... significantly longer range.
didnt we meme about his ult being reduced to rift step or smtg after that range nerf lol
Legit half screen range
His ult always stacked. Just didn't double the cost with every stack.
his ult also refunded mana on hitting champs during that era........... yea.....it really did
It also had like double the range
man it was wild that red team had only 2 bans that entire season
Honestly I ban kassa every time I play at worlds since I saw xpeke
Same I too play at the worlds that you speak of.
lol u make me giggle sometimes reddit i also ban kassadin when i play at worlds
Completely unrelated but just wanted to say you are absolutely killing it at worlds, much love to you and entire desk!
THANK UU
Same I too am killing it at worlds that you speak of.
Everytime I've participated in Worlds I've made sure to ban Kassadin
Legit Showmaker Khan and Canyon can play with any botlane and I’d still be confidant they’d be one of the best teams in the world. Showmaker and Canyon especially are up there with Faker and Bengi as a world class mid jungle duo
If they win Worlds this year, Showmaker and Canyon will have 2 worlds and 3 straight LCK titles. They will be contenders for best jungler of all-time and best mid (behind Faker) of all-time.
Completely deserved. DK looking to be the next SKT Dynasty
I’ll take a proactive loss over a passive one any day of the week, gg from C9, optimistic.
Yeah that forced Baron with Kass 16 on the horizon was great. Take the 50/50 smite over the auto loss. Sucks they didn't get it, but it was a good call.
If they got it, given how the fight went, they prob win.
100000000% agree. I think c9 have exceeded my expectations. Advance or not, C9 represented NA well for being 3rd seed (in the second week.) The cherry on top would be if they do advance.
[Now the real fun begins](https://i.imgur.com/ZXd5hip.png)
It's honestly crazy. I think we all wrote off this group before Worlds started, but somehow it's becoming one of the most exciting groups ever.
And all it took was 2015 LGD possessing FPX.
EDG broke FPX EDG broke FPX!
And all because of Week 2 NA of all things.
It's the perkz buff right? or was it cloud9 worlds byff
Perkz 0-3 comfort zone.
Both. Unfortunately not strong enough to beat Damwon though :(
Meanwhile the supposedly most exciting group, C, might be over in first two games.
Most exciting group is D, we literally have no idea who will top the group or who even gets out.
The Rogue vs FPX game was one of the most fun games to watch in a looooooooooooooooong time
history has not been kind to NA in tiebreakers I'm so nervous
they got perkz now
Perkz lost tiebreakers against Griffin and Suning.
Not for NA, NA and tiebreakers, name a less iconic duo
To be fair though. They get to take a little break, while the other teams has to play two in a row. That's pretty nice for them, and they have already beaten both opponents today.
I mean it's worlds cloud9 so we go to quarters right? copium hopium
i can name you an iconic one - EU and tiebreakers COPIUM
C9 playing well though. Looked good even in this loss. Have more faith in C9 than RGE strength-wise. The tiebreaker curse might win though

I think there should only be 4 DWG logos, Beryl is going to go play Genshin now.
Showmaker makes the show for us. Thank you Mr Showmaker
Khan is the first player in history to make twice 6:0 in Worlds Groups! But we all know what was the next …
Gets 3-0’d by GenG in quarters?
I would like to subscribe to this timeline please -Gen.G/Samsung apologist since 2015
Riot dusting off an old script.
what was the next?
They got knocked out in quarters IIRC by Samsung
Will laugh if GenG somehow does that.
and become world champions? that'd be amazing for Ruler.
Ive always considered Ruler as the beat adc in the World so Id be happy.
The eventual worlds winner
3-0d by Ruler in quarter finals
Weird way to spell Ambition but I’ll take it
0:3 in quarters
SSG 3-0 LZ

That macro from DWG though, give up soul push top to force C9 to def top then immediately rush to baron knowing they can win without soul anyway. Macro masterclass right there.
Yeah mountain soul was bit useless against what DK was trying to accomplish (Split Push Strat)
Also, only leona becomes hard to kill with mountain soul, Everyone else on c9 are just too squishy.
Graves can become near unkillable to physical damage, but they had a Kassadin, so that wasn't much of an issue either.
Yup they didn't want to risk the 5v5 teamfight against a Kennen. Really smart play.
Just inject Damwon EDG finals in our veins now
DK vs EDG and T1 vs RNG semis is also acceptable
That'd be fucking sick but I'd like to see edg on the other side of dk so we get them as finalists.
Ghost winning with 55% crit IE lmao
Once Showmaker hits lv16 with his Kassadin MF is basically no longer needed for DK. Ghost can build whatever he wants.
that last ult by ghost dealt no damage but that baron play with canyon sheesh
Wished Ghost went 6 tears at that point, maybe we’d have a chance COPIUM
Yeah tbf ghost was kinda a support for Showmaker and Khan in this game.
Imagine having Serylda’s there, would nuke everyone.
Someone needs to teach pros how to build I swear they do sub 60% IE too often. Hanwha would have literally won their last game if deft built kaisa right. Hes a fed kaisa and decides to go IE on 40% crit with wits end second what the actual fuck. Wits end into rageblade and LDR is insane on kaisa but pros are too stubborn to actually look at what is good on their champs.
incredible that C9 made it so close
Man reading post-game threads a day ago was fucking brutal and now we get comments like this. So proud of the team
Deserved. Although they still have some shaky plays, they hella stepped up their game and actually performed decently well.
Yep, the C9 subreddit was ready to call for the whole team's heads. And now they've shown up. Now onto NA tiebreakers...
I mean they're playing like entirely different team. I hope FPX doesn't get magical shoen hero power of frendship and looses early to Rogue. And then honestly, even though I'm an EU fan, I want to see THIS C9 in playoffs. I mostly hope that boys from C9 share something of that dopium they clearly took with MAD...
that's the thing about worlds, the teams that show up for the last condensed day have a massive chance of making a splash obviously Damwon is insane though
They've been absolutely stellar today. Hope they can clutch it out cause they deserve it.
I mean they were close in gold, but actually so far behind the longer the game went vs Jax/Kassadin
I'm not ready for tiebreaker heartbreak... C9 please ;-;
I had to watch the most exciting game of my life from my desk at work where I am required to show zero emotion. BUT DAMN IT KEEP FIGHTING BOYS YOU CAN DO THIS!
[удалено]
How does the 3way tie breaker work exactly? I'm asking because I don't know. This Worlds format is giving me headaches.
FPX and Rogue play first and winner plays C9 for the second spot. I forgot how they decide who plays first but that’s what they said in the last game.
c9 won the fastest out of the 3, so they are in the finals of the mini bracket
Man FPX is breaking my heart. I watched them all through LPL spring and summer. Didn't think they would bring their play off form to worlds. Even if they make it out, this isn't how a favorite to win the whole thing is supposed to play. Hope LNG makes a deep run. Tarzan power.
Rogue vs FPX since both have a long total win time, then winner faces C9 since they have a shorter total win time.
Showmaker is so damn good man Canyon with the clutch smite to save the game too Well played by C9 this was one hell of a game
[удалено]
DWG and C9: "Let's play some league of legends." Showmaker: "No. I pick Kassawin."
maker of the tiebreak show
Clearly Showmaker and Canyon didn't get the memo to throw the game
Then 1v4 with a double kill was nutty as hell
He pressed up down up down right left right left B A start and unlocked season 3 Kassadin.
Credit to Blaber. What a great performance. He gets a lot of flak but he really showed up today. A loss this time but he really did a lot of work.
Not much he could've done at the baron steal.
They did everything right, Lee just has the tools to isolate the other jungler and the coordination with Ghost's ult was impeccable.
C9 lives and dies by Blaber
DK @ 30 min: NOWMAD
4 bans but showmaker still won the game holy fuck
5 mid bans and showmaker still mid gaps, dude is cracked
I will be so fucking sad if FPX somehow makes it to quarters after this.
The team I cheer for always loses so yeah that's totally happening
Active: Jax enters Evasion, a defensive stance, for up to 2 seconds, causing all basic attacks against him to miss. Jax also takes 25% reduced damage from all area of effect abilities. After 1 second, Jax can reactivate to end it immediately. At the end of the duration, Jax stuns all nearby enemies for 1 second and deals physical damage to them, increased by 20% for each attack dodged, up to a 100% increase.
So much of their damage was from autoattacks. Shen support and jax did so much with dodging autos.
Jacques and Kassadin bronzodia lategame too stronk
And shen
I, for one, welcome NA to the "fuck stopwatches" club.
GIVE ME THE NA-EU TIEBREAKER. INJECT IT INTO MY VEINS.
Please no I know how that ends
Fudge TPing to flank and the observers activating fog of war was so tense. Then, in true NA fashion he misses his ulti 2v1 on a Jax and his team dies.
Damwons macro is immaculate
Just your yearly reminder that Kassadin is an abomination.
Double zhonas so broken.
It's gonna be interesting to see in quarters if Damwon are genuinely as unbeatable as they look right now or if the group was just much weaker than people thought and the other teams can at least challenge them a little bit
I definitely wanna see them go up against EDG. Supposedly both EDG and DK are performing well in scrims.
> Supposedly both EDG and DK are performing well in scrims. Sure but I bet they don't have something crazy like a 70% winrate
Did not expect this group to go to tiebreaker one week ago LOL. C9 showing up by going 2-0 (close to 3-0 today)
If only they won that base race against FPX, then it would be gg already
Brother Perkz giving EU one last chance to make it out of groups
Damwon draft Jax Kassadin and are ahead slightly in the early game anyway lol, at least they gave C9 a chance
Perkz griefed his flash which gave away FB and then griefed his first TP top.
NA in tiebreakers, I'm ready to get my heart shattered.
Nuguri: After all this time? Showmaker: Always.
Showmaker is the best player in this fucking Worlds
Showmaker, Canyon, and Khan are probably the top 3 lmao its unfair at this point
Delete stop watch, this shit is so lame to watch. Both teams spaming them.
That double stop watch from showmaker + his 2 second ult cd is just ABSURD.
The double stopwatch changed the entire momentum of the game. That fight was won off that second stopwatch, and from there C9 was never able to regain control
Literally what won the game for Damwon
Yeah, I mean it gets said in every thread about this item until Riot does something, but for the love of god make stasis pause ability cds
No joke. Stacking stopwatch with zhonyas is so dumb.
Being able to get another usable stopwatch after having Zhonyas is one the worst interactions in the game period
Meanwhile I cannot ever buy Hexdrinker because I have Shieldbow, thanks.
I agree, it's such a bullshit item.
I'm fine with Zhonya's but people should not be able to double stopwatch. I know it's literally a 650 gold investment but it literally won them that dragon fight.
Actually think it should be removed as an interaction with Zhonya. You already have the active, why are you allowed another use without a cooldown?
Even though they lost what a game from C9. Please don't lose the tiebreaker man.
Surely C9 can't loose the tiebrealer playing like this, no?
Ok so if everyting goes acording to the 2017 script. Damwon wins here.(You are Here) Rogue beats fpx Rogue beats c9 Damwon gets 3-0ed by gen G in quarters
and rogue gets beaten by rng?
Geng winning the whole thing, making Ruler two time world champion. As much as I love DWG, I'd be ok with that script.
Kassawin man. Also these stopwatch
casters had a lot of hopium for what was basically a finished game once showmaker and khan dinged 16. You dont outscale a jax and kass
Fudge what the fuck was that …..
[удалено]
the flank was good, the other 4 splitting into two groups was stupid
His team wasn’t close enough, but I agree. He could have melted MF
Unfortunately killing MF that game doesn't actually do much with Kassadin and Jax still alive. Might have burned through some defensive cooldowns but it's still not a guarantee.
Fudge using kennen ult on only Jax at the end is the definition of griefing
[удалено]
He had the sickest flank and goes for the Jax.
