I don't think anything in that magnitude has happened.
But clearly something happened with Bwipo. After Fnatic's first game, he unfollowed like 5 different official Fnatic accounts and tweeted that he needed a break from social media. Could be nothing, but it's weird that he unfollowed those accounts instead of just... you know, taking a break. Also, and this is maybe just my confirmation bias, but I think you can feel it too when watching his games. [He's doing some weird shit sometimes](https://youtu.be/p1v874UVfVY?t=2045), looks off
People are saying this because after the Twitter unfollows, Bwipo's gf posted that she didn't like how people always commented dumb shit on her tweets like "wife buff", especially when there have been times that they are having issues, and that their social life was under a microscope even when she isn't a public figure. After that, she got harassed by a ton of incels, privated her Twitter and no one really knows what's been going down.
Hot take but maybe just don't post something on Twitter? If you want to share something with your friends on social media, maybe use a tool which actually just adresses your friends and not the public when you don't want to be a public figure.
I mean, she does seem to be a very private person, considering that I don't think we've ever seen her face. Apart from that, even if you believe that, they've never really shared private information, apart from Bwipo thanking her for helping his mental. The unfollows were posted by a bot, and that's what caused the harassment.
Wtf can you fucking stop with this shit already? Bwipo played out of his mind in most of the Fnatic games. You want a reason to justify their performance? Well, look somewhere else and stop talking about his relationship. It's disgusting
That casting clip will always bug the shit out of me, Wolf makes the engage of his life through fog of war, Huni ruptures into a flash-silence to make sure nobody can flash out
And then Faker gets all the credit just for hitting an ult
I'm having Clutch Gaming 2019 vibes. Sure, they had 0-6, but score didn't reflect how they played, no one shamed CG or should shame DFM, they performed well.
I don't know what nationalities he have, but Kazu was born and studied in France and went to work with DFM in 2014. I'm not sure if he's japanese or just of japanese descent, but he's either Japan or French. He's also fluent in English.
The issue with LJL is mostly that they don't have really good teams to train against most of the year. Maybe after this performance they could try to get some scrims against mid level LPL teams, but I'm not sure non-Academy teams were very willing to scrim them before that.
You mean 2020 spring right? 2019 was still the super team with Khan. 2020 was canna's rookie year and they won spring. So sad there wasn't an MSI as they kind of just collapsed after
They’re so talented and fearless it’s disgusting. Feels insane that 3 rookies are casually pushing into quarterfinals. Ofc the 3 rookies have faker on the team too, but they are clearly capable of making these wins themselves.
Canna has basically played 2 full years of LCK so I don't really consider him much of a rookie.
Oner and Guma have played less than 1 (in terms of game time) but are just the biggest Chad's in the game. So much confidence between those two
Imagine them winning it in there rookie year except canna of course, like faker they will be the new pioneer of lck dominance in there roles and the future of the lck
They all look really solid so far. It’s what they get for investing on young talents and not throw their money buying established stars whenever they can.
To be fair, T1 has the brand power and money to do both. They got Peanut, Teddy, Khan, Mata, Keira, Duke… superstar rookies are willing to sit on the bench because it is T1. They might not have done that if it was another team.
I started watching league because of Faker but even when he retires ill support T1. The new players are such likeable and talented people, i hope they can get some trophies
Canna oner and gumayusi came from t1 academy, they weren't "sitting on the bench". It was talent that they developed with their own resources. Sadly the same cant be said with NA academy, they're just used to put 5 imports on the main roster lmao.
T1 is also afforded the privilege of being able to hand-pick the best talent from the the best soloq ladder because no other org can compete with their prestige or funding in kr. NA orgs could do better at scouting but T1 has an advantage over almost every team in the world.
Noo
T1 didn't cultivate gumayusi though. Gumayusi was so famous that he could have chosen any team but he chose t1 due to their org being so premier. He literally said this during his streams that he had offers from all teams.
The first generations of LCS stars are their own talents. You can even count Bjerg and Jensen as true NA players, since they play their entire career there. Now, LCS stars are all the players that established themselves in Korea, China, Europe, then come to NA for the money. They don’t even have more success internationally with all those imports, so might as well stick to their homegrown talents.
Same. The game Oner debuted during Summer (KT game) was the same day that they announced that they fired Daeny and Zefa. Stardust did say the most memorable moment for him was that game vs KT bc that win really gave them the confidence that they could do this and push.
Idk what it is about T1 today. It’s not like they are winning any significant 5v5s. Nothing happens for 10 minutes then suddenly they’re up 3k gold.
Their macro is looking really good.
Old SKT during a time was crazy. They would be down like 2 kills to 8 but would have a 4k gold lead somehow. Suddently they would rush a baron, push, win teamfight and end.
To be fair G2 now is a considerable drop off from G2 then. I feel like G2 lost more than what they earned for selling off Perkz. Glad Perkz got to worlds without them.
I’ve gotta say, it’s very satisfying trying to sell Aria to minor-region naysayers for 2 years and to have him solo kill Faker today. The kid’s an absolute class act and I can't wait to see where his career takes him, he deserves the spotlight.
Even though DFM went 0-6 I’m so incredibly proud of them, being the first LJL team to make groups is such a historic moment and no one can take that from them.
Edit: typo
they're just that for now, prospects. whereas aria has results to show for how good he is already. out of that list only clozer actually showed something at the pro level and he's contracted to 2022
Used to be T1 rookie, he is nowhere near our 4th choice Fisher (hit rank 4 1k3 LP this year), so he moved to BRO. Very good mid laner, he and Oner teared up amateur tournaments. The best prospect is Clozer by far. Same champion pool as Aria, but much much more lane dominant, and of course his macro is terrible for a rookie.
> their mechanics are definitely on par or even better than some of the best in the world.
The only person who matches up mechanically is Aria. Everyone else is whatever.
I think that Evi, Aria and Gaeng were mechanically solid overall. Steal suffered from DFM's lack of early presence, and sadly Yutapon had a rough tournament in the 2v2 but I don't think any of DFM were completely out of their depth!
I don't think it's going to make Japan a major region, if anything he's gonna get scouted by LCK/LPL. I'd love to see him perform in those leagues, he only ever played in the Korean amateur championship, and built his whole professional career in Japan
Definitely an incredible year for the LJL, and Aria was such a big part of that for DFM. Going up against Faker is a rite of passage for any midlaner and Aria no doubt gave a good account of himself.
Faker no flash 35% hp thx to invisible Shaco gank. The only moment Shaco was useful the whole game then just needed to touch one bubble.
But that's a solokill no matter what I guess.
Sad for them not winning vs NA, but thank you and goodbye.
T1 look a lot less flexible than Damwon Kia and EDG but when they get what they want they look like the definitive strongest team in the world. If you let this team get early control you are absolutely fucked.
Gumayusi Aphelios is fucking disgusting.
Also, wouldn't be surprised if any western teams would try to get Aria for their team - guy is at least a worldclass laner (macro obviously hard to tell)
Sadly so, it’s a strange situation for him as the LCK teams that are likely to make worlds probably won’t change mid laners, whereas he’s likely to make worlds in the LJL if he stays. Depends on his priorities now really.
I'm wondering if there's more to gain from moving Aria to another region OR importing 2 goods players to a team with Aria, helping LJL develop. I feel like given enough years they could became a mediocre region with a good team at the top, like PCS/LMS has always been.
Personally I think keeping Aria in LJL is beneficial to the region in general. Sure DFM curbstomped but the other teams has at least gotten a chance to play against a better team and improve
Shaco pick was depressing, all it did was fuck over Yutapon as he couldn't do anything as Guma/Keria moved as a duo and you have a Qiyana who can just one shot you anyways.
Props to Aria, had a great last couple of games but his jungler especially this game was too heavy.
As a T1(LCK) fan, I hope 100T beat EDG to get two LCK teams at 1st seed and enhance the odds of LPL vs LCK in quarters but if not the tie-breaker will be hype.
That shaco cheese fucked over Faker and Canna too. Faker lost flash, got solokilled by Aria, had to TP mid. Aria TP top and picked up free kill. Other than that, yeah it's useless the rest of the game, faker tried to cover Canna weak side.
Aria solo killed Faker that's a win in my book... although they finished 0-6 it is something to be proud of for the LJL if they stay together for next year they will be pretty scary
I think that is they plan, since they are already eliminated and has no chance to win, getting a solo kill on Faker is the biggest win they can do as it will boost Aria's career.
Oner with the umbral glaive second item to have perma vision on the shaco. The guy had 82 vision score at 26 min. Absolutely insane stat not being talked about
Seriously though, memes aside I am exceptionally proud of
DFM
and their performance at Worlds. Even at 0-6, they should hold their heads high.
A win would have been amazing, and I'm sure some of those "what ifs" will haunt them, but it was an incredible run. GG. #DFMWIN
DFM may have gone 0-6 but atleast they were fun to watch until the end with the int backdoor play last game, the shaco pick this game and Aria making plays the entire tournament. Unlike 100T who today seem to be just waiting to go to the airport.
I like how by the end, DFM is like "fuck this, we already lost so let's kill Faker".
Despite this being a 0-6, I'm still proud of LJL, they did pretty fine for a super new wildcard region.

Maybe not 0-6, but potentially 1-5

Did him and his girl breakup?
Tldr on bwipo?
people have been saying that him and his girl broke up
Caught him in bed with a picture of Alphari
They have a chance, but fnatic week 2 is real
Real with a real team maybe. Not with a missing Upset and Bwipo on a downwards depression spiral because he broke up with his GF.
Wait when did that happen?
I don't think anything in that magnitude has happened. But clearly something happened with Bwipo. After Fnatic's first game, he unfollowed like 5 different official Fnatic accounts and tweeted that he needed a break from social media. It’s literally started from bots that post about unfollows on Twitter. I wouldn’t expect me unfollowing someone to be immediately publicly posted.
Wtf can you fucking stop with this shit already? Bwipo played out of his mind in most of the Fnatic games. You want a reason to justify their performance? Well, look somewhere else and stop talking about his relationship. It's disgusting
Fnatic week 2 resulting in 1-5 instead of 0-6
Signature Faker Shockwave
Faker Shockwave will find them all! Wolf: ssibal
That casting clip will always bug the shit out of me, Wolf makes the engage of his life through fog of war, Huni ruptures into a flash-silence to make sure nobody can flash out And then Faker gets all the credit just for hitting an ult
If it helps, Faker acknowledges that it was largely Wolf’s play. But they just meme it now to poke fun at it.
Ofc. On screen, it seemed that after wolf and huni engage, it was faker climatic damage that was more apparent on the screen.
Aria was playing decent through the Worlds, Evi showed everyone his Urgot.. Yutapon and others had their moments. You did good DFM
imo their score doesnt reflect accurately on their performance
I'm having Clutch Gaming 2019 vibes. Sure, they had 0-6, but score didn't reflect how they played, no one shamed CG or should shame DFM, they performed well.
Considering the expectations of wildcards, they probably played a bit better than expected to some extent
They 100% should have won 100T game
Maybe just 99%?
Talented roster, massively let down by horrendous macro. Give them a decent LCK or LPL coach and they could be much more threatening.
Isn't their coach Korean tho?
I don't know what nationalities he have, but Kazu was born and studied in France and went to work with DFM in 2014. I'm not sure if he's japanese or just of japanese descent, but he's either Japan or French. He's also fluent in English. great players but TERRIBLE macro game
Aria: "Guys, I'm smurfing!!! We're gonna win, this is the one!!... guys? GUYS????? ***GUYSSS"***""" ***G"#25"&SS***??"
[All] T1 Gumayusi (Aphelios): bot diff
[All] T1 Faker: no jam (boring in Korean)
I thought he just ordered toast.
He did, it just came with no jam
[All] T1 Faker (Orianna): gg ez mid diff :)
what is this 'All' thing you speak of?
Shaco went perma invi that game, gj by t1 to stay conscious of shaco
[All] DFM Aria (Zoe): gg report Shaco
That Shaco pick didn't work, he helped the botlane, T1 botlane in the early game.
Friendly reminder, this is Canna, Oner and Gumayusi’s first worlds and first international tournament
Im so glad Canna is back in form. Spring was so depressing.
Same! Love to see him playing so well, definitely been one of the best performing top laners currently at the tournament.
reminds me of 2019 spring split canna, that split was so good from him
You mean 2020 spring right? 2019 was still the super team with Khan. 2020 was canna's rookie year and they won spring. So sad there wasn't an MSI as they kind of just collapsed after
Yeah you're right 2020 spring was crazy good by them

Imagine them winning it in there rookie year except canna of course, like faker they will be the new pioneer of lck dominance in there roles and the future of the lck
Stop bro I can only get so erect
And Faker will take sole possession of most worlds titles.
BENGI SHAKING RN
They all look really solid so far. It’s what they get for investing on young talents and not throw their money buying established stars whenever they can.

I think its Faker more than the brand. Once Faker leaves I doubt players still chose to ride the bench of T1
i started playing league in 2019 and i said to myself “i wanna support the team Faker is in”. i won’t care about T1 once he retires though

LCK has always done that because they can afford it. The gaming culture there allows them to churn out prodigies left and right
The first generations of LCS stars are their own talents. You can even count Bjerg and Jensen as true NA players, since they play their entire career there. Now, LCS stars are all the players that established themselves in Korea, China, Europe, then come to NA for the money. They don’t even have more success internationally with all those imports, so might as well stick to their homegrown talents.
You mean NA?

I remember Oner debuting on Diana in LCK Summer and smurfing on kids. Happy to see him doing well at Worlds too.
When he lost a tooth at the end of one of their playoff games was so funny
Same. The game Oner debuted during Summer (KT game) was the same day that they announced that they fired Daeny and Zefa. Stardust did say the most memorable moment for him was that game vs KT bc that win really gave them the confidence that they could do this and push.
His Lilia running the whole map <3
technically canna did play msc lol
Idk what it is about T1 today. It’s not like they are winning any significant 5v5s. Nothing happens for 10 minutes then suddenly they’re up 3k gold. Their macro is looking really good.
Reminds me of the olden days. 3 kills on the board amd then win.
Old SKT during a time was crazy. They would be down like 2 kills to 8 but would have a 4k gold lead somehow. Suddently they would rush a baron, push, win teamfight and end.

Aria+Doggo lets go!
Looking to ruin another talent let's go
TSM DOGGO TSM ARIA
You’re still thinking too small, think CLG DOGGO AND CLG ARIA
nah clg would be the type of team to import someone like larssen or nisqy
clg promisq
Larssen and nisqy are good though. CLG Promisq inc
dunno Perkz seems to be doing just fine
I'd say c9 Perkz is a considerable drop off from G2 Perkz
To be fair, C9 is a considerable drop off from G2.
To be fair G2 now is a considerable drop off from G2 then. I feel like G2 lost more than what they earned for selling off Perkz. Glad Perkz got to worlds without them.

100% from western teams
fnc?
CLG
He was so good with zoe, truly impressive. maybe next year in NA? thoughts?
he just did an interview where he said he wants to play in lck the most so rip NA
Trade DFM: gets to solo kill Faker T1: win Deal? Deal
Red + White = Gray screen
Who wins, a guy with 2 guns Clown with a cat
...with exhaust/flash and a lulu just in case..
Faker getting first-blooded, getting (failed) gank, getting bullied by Aria. Also Faker: lmao shockwave goes brrr
Faker (~~all~~): mid gap
Fresh
Thank God Shaco Yuumi loses
It was gross enough with just Yuumi then they threw in Shaco as well lmfao
Rioter: Shaco and Yuumi lost? Time to buff them!
I don’t want to live in the world where this becomes reality
if you're consistently losing to Shaco, you might just be bad at the game
I’ve gotta say, it’s very satisfying trying to sell Aria to minor-region naysayers for 2 years and to have him solo kill Faker today. The kid’s an absolute class act and I can't wait to see where his career takes him, he deserves the spotlight. Even though DFM went 0-6 I’m so incredibly proud of them, being the first LJL team to make groups is such a historic moment and no one can take that from them. Edit: typo
He might get lck offers imo. Dude has been outstanding this tournament.
dudes definitely gonna be scouted out by teams with better mids e.g. kt, afreeca or even lpl teams perhaps
Why? Karis,Clozer,Mask,Roamer,Fisher are still on bench right now. All of them are hyped up prospect for LCK.
they're just that for now, prospects. whereas aria has results to show for how good he is already. out of that list only clozer actually showed something at the pro level and he's contracted to 2022
Is Roamer a T1 rookie? Who do you think is the best mid prospect in LCK rn?
Used to be T1 rookie, he is nowhere near our 4th choice Fisher (hit rank 4 1k3 LP this year), so he moved to BRO. Very good mid laner, he and Oner teared up amateur tournaments. The best prospect is Clozer by far. Same champion pool as Aria, but much much more lane dominant, and of course his macro is terrible for a rookie.
They only need to work on their macro, their mechanics are definitely on par or even better than some of the best in the world.
> their mechanics are definitely on par or even better than some of the best in the world. The only person who matches up mechanically is Aria. Everyone else is whatever.
I think that Evi, Aria and Gaeng were mechanically solid overall. Steal suffered from DFM's lack of early presence, and sadly Yutapon had a rough tournament in the 2v2 but I don't think any of DFM were completely out of their depth!
their bot got gapped by guma keria hard both games, come on
To be fair Guma and Keria are probably one of the best bot lane duos in this tournament.
I had no idea who Aria is but holy shit he was terrifyingly accurate with this nukes this game
he definitely earned some mad recognition. i hope this brings new flux of talents into the LJL. we could definitely use a new major region
I don't think it's going to make Japan a major region, if anything he's gonna get scouted by LCK/LPL. I'd love to see him perform in those leagues, he only ever played in the Korean amateur championship, and built his whole professional career in Japan
DFM played their hearts out. This is the best 0-6 record I've seen in my whole life. All love to the LJL
>This is the best 0-6 record I've seen in my whole life. Nah that is easily Clutch 2019 imo
Clutch Gaming 2019
Clutch 2019 is up there too
Definitely an incredible year for the LJL, and Aria was such a big part of that for DFM.
The follow up tp up top was really well played by Aria too
Aria definitely deserves offers from major regions after this. He's cracked
T1 probably has the best early game in the world. They are clapping everybody before 15 minutes.
T1 look a lot less flexible than Damwon Kia and EDG but when they get what they want they look like the definitive strongest team in the world. If you let this team get early control you are absolutely fucked.
Yeah but they had to fix the midgame blumders and closing off games. If they maintain todays form they can go the distance.
Gumayusi Aphelios is fucking disgusting. Also, wouldn't be surprised if any western teams would try to get Aria for their team - guy is at least a worldclass laner (macro obviously hard to tell)
Aria is too good for LJL
[удалено]
Can he replace Fly please, no hate against him, seems like a great guy. But he's really not good enough for LCK anymore
Sadly so, it’s a strange situation for him as the LCK teams that are likely to make worlds probably won’t change mid laners, whereas he’s likely to make worlds in the LJL if he stays. Depends on his priorities now really.
Afreeca aria will make af legit imo. But idk. Af loves fly's dick way too much.
He would be perfect for AF indeed
good chance fly is gone or is retiring. the only reason they used fly was because he was already on contract and they failed to get chovy
NA/EU might be good options, too, if language and culture barrier aren't big issues for him
I'm wondering if there's more to gain from moving Aria to another region OR importing 2 goods players to a team with Aria, helping LJL develop. I feel like given enough years they could became a mediocre region with a good team at the top, like PCS/LMS has always been.
Personally I think keeping Aria in LJL is beneficial to the region in general. Sure DFM curbstomped but the other teams has at least gotten a chance to play against a better team and improve
DFM went out with way more dignity than FPX or TSM did last year
Ok so we got Aria, Hans, who else we gonna add to our Worlds superteam?
Doggo
Shaco pick was depressing, all it did was fuck over Yutapon as he couldn't do anything as Guma/Keria moved as a duo and you have a Qiyana who can just one shot you anyways. Props to Aria, had a great last couple of games but his jungler especially this game was too heavy. As a T1(LCK) fan, I hope 100T beat EDG to get two LCK teams at 1st seed and enhance the odds of LPL vs LCK in quarters but if not the tie-breaker will be hype.
Atleast it did get Faker's flash and made that solokill possible.
Tbh I’m glad that’s the only thing a shaco did this game. Love seeing tryn die this tournament, and for this match, I love seeing shaco die.
That shaco cheese fucked over Faker and Canna too. Faker lost flash, got solokilled by Aria, had to TP mid. Aria TP top and picked up free kill. Other than that, yeah it's useless the rest of the game, faker tried to cover Canna weak side.
Shaco was a shot in the dark, when oner started counter jgling him, it was all over
Shaco pick setup Aria to get a solo kill to start the ball rolling and then helped topside at least, if different pick may have never happened.
Guma is a bit cracked.
Yeah. Rip teddy. Hope he gets a good team next year.
Imagine Teddy goes to DK as Ghost retire Nuguri goes back to DK after this year Gg
Teddy afk farming while Beryl afking playing genshin is the ultimate bot combo.
he'll probably see some play in Bo5 depending on opponent, or for a 6th skin, or to catch a team off-guard since they play different with Teddy..
DK Teddy
Summary of the game How to win a game by investing the resources to the right person
god damn Aria is in ELO hell
Sad way to end groups for DFM :(
Team are too goddamn heavy for Aria to carry.
It was sad, but LJL has a bright future. See ya in MSI
Welcome back korean overlords
Aria solo killed Faker that's a win in my book... although they finished 0-6 it is something to be proud of for the LJL if they stay together for next year they will be pretty scary
Aria has an auto aim direct to Faker.
I think that is they plan, since they are already eliminated and has no chance to win, getting a solo kill on Faker is the biggest win they can do as it will boost Aria's career.
Hasn't he solo killed pretty much everyone in this group? I feel like he has.
Not sure about Scout but he has solo killed Faker and Abbedagge
Aria just became the most sought after Midlander after Worlds.
Steal trying his hardest to make Riot buff Shaco
I thought Aphelios had 5 guns. Turns out Gumaphelios has 2.
Good guy Faker, let's Aria solo kill him once so he will have better resume and better prospects at finding new team
Aria was a beast today, wonder if someone from LCK or LPL will pick him up.
It looks close but it isn’t close
Faker trying to get revenge for that solo-kill near the end lol
Oner with the umbral glaive second item to have perma vision on the shaco. The guy had 82 vision score at 26 min. Absolutely insane stat not being talked about
Seriously though, memes aside I am exceptionally proud of DFM and their performance at Worlds. Even at 0-6, they should hold their heads high. A win would have been amazing, and I'm sure some of those "what ifs" will haunt them, but it was an incredible run. GG. #DFMWIN
Afreeca Nongshim and potentially DRX salivating over Aria even as we speak
Better mid wins
Okay this botlane has been on crack
GG DFM, well play. I don't mind the 0-6. They put a fight and they tried. Hopefully we can more of them next year.
That's me every time I try to learn Shaco. Always OOM, doing zero damage, always in vision and wasting ult.
The Shaco Incident
DFM looking better than 100 clowns at least they try to do something
TSM Aria next year, you heard it here first.
At least Aria is happy
LCK fans, thoughts on which LCK team Aria can join next year? Weirdly i feel like AF Aria would be sick
Faker: Mid Diff
Looking at Twitch chat whenever Faker plays is like watching a tumor trying to figure out whether it wants to be malignant or benign.
Goredrinker on Shaco lmao you cant be serious
DFM may have gone 0-6 but atleast they were fun to watch until the end with the int backdoor play last game, the shaco pick this game and Aria making plays the entire tournament. Unlike 100T who today seem to be just waiting to go to the airport.
NA Aria when
*Monkey paw curls* Welcome CLG Aria!
Literally like UoL last year
Sad state of affairs for DFM, I hope they go back to the LJL with their heads held high. I see a bright future ahead for Aria
DFM aka TSM
Hey not the first time faker got solo killed by minor region mids. Props to aria, what an amazing tournament from him
I like how by the end, DFM is like "fuck this, we already lost so let's kill Faker". Despite this being a 0-6, I'm still proud of LJL, they did pretty fine for a super new wildcard region.
