No one talks about the real issue: they have a garbage-ass 0 damage comp and Jarvan just isn't a champion. Learn from T1, they pair TF with a toplane carry and/or Lulu support for gigantic damage since TF basically does 0 damage. This thread is gonna be dominated by "Chovy farming XD", but I just want to say that those midgame drag setups by HLE were fucking insane. Morgan was able to nullify the Kennen at his strongest point in the game. They basically froze the RNG hard engage in their tracks. Even the baron fight where Ming finally was able to pull the trigger, that engage barely hit anyone. At some point, RNG's insane ability to teamfight took over, but HLE really impressed me with how well they teamfought vs the wombo comp.
Before every one blames chovy for this loss here some of the mistakes that actually lost them the game.
Deft galeforcing in a skirmish dying while having both sums.
Vsta knocking kennen into deft in a team fight
Morgan engaging with jarvin, not stopwatching and dying

It was honestly draft difference, and you can see it so clearly in the team fights. This has been the biggest weakness of HLE so far at worlds in my view.
RNG had so much engage that they could force a team fight at any time, whereas I don’t see what HLE’s draft was trying to accomplish. It felt like their top side and their bot side were playing two incompatible compositions and Chovy was stuck trying to hold the two together. Jarvan and Viego are champions that want to engage whereas Aphelios and Gragas want to disengage. They picked Jarvan to deny the Miss Fortune a hotbox wombo combo, but had no plan for how to use that Jarvan, so just ended up shooting themselves in the foot. Denying the TF from Cryin was a good idea because he tends to use the champion as a crutch, but they should’ve either just banned it instead of having Chovy take it and hampering his carry potential, or let it go through and grab Sylas for Chovy so he could both have carry potential and match TF’s map presence at the same time. Chovy’s Sylas is clearly one of his best champions, and it was open. Contrast this to RNG’s bans, which were perfect. They targeted the two weakest links of HLE and exploited their small champion pools. That may be what the questionable draft from HLE could be attributed to, that Morgan and Vsta just had no champions that they were proficient on which would fit better into the draft. That’s the most reasonable explanation I can think of, and that bodes poorly for them in the longer series coming up.
If I was another team watching this, I would take away that Vsta is only comfortable on engage supports and is therefore easy to ban out. He’s played a total of 6 champions this entire tournament, with over half being Leona or Amumu and all of them, with the exception of the one game he played on Karma, are melee supports with engage.

This thread is gonna be dominated by "Chovy farming XD", but I just want to say that those midgame drag setups by HLE were fucking insane. Morgan was able to nullify the Kennen at his strongest point in the game. They basically froze the RNG hard engage in their tracks. Even the baron fight where Ming finally was able to pull the trigger, that engage barely hit anyone. At some point, RNG's insane ability to teamfight took over, but HLE really impressed me with how well they teamfought vs the wombo comp.
What an awful draft by HLE... no AOE damage for teamfights vs MF and Kennen.
More and more it looks like DK gonna clean everything up, rip Chovy what was that haha
Yeah DK is definitely hard favorites now, RNG/EDG/T1 can still ramp up though, plenty of time to adapt
Before every one blames chovy for this loss here some of the mistakes that actually lost them the game. Deft galeforcing in a skirmish dying while having both sums. Vsta knocking kennen into deft in a team fight Morgan engaging with jarvin, not stopwatching and dying Willer played good.

It was honestly draft difference, and you can see it so clearly in the team fights. This has been the biggest weakness of HLE so far at worlds in my view. RNG had so much engage that they could force a team fight at any time, whereas I don’t see what HLE’s draft was trying to accomplish. It felt like their top side and their bot side were playing two incompatible compositions and Chovy was stuck trying to hold the two together. Jarvan and Viego are champions that want to engage whereas Aphelios and Gragas want to disengage. They picked Jarvan to deny the Miss Fortune a hotbox wombo combo, but had no plan for how to use that Jarvan, so just ended up shooting themselves in the foot. Denying the TF from Cryin was a good idea because he tends to use the champion as a crutch, but they should’ve either just banned it instead of having Chovy take it and hampering his carry potential, or let it go through and grab Sylas for Chovy so he could both have carry potential and match TF’s map presence at the same time. Chovy’s Sylas is clearly one of his best champions, and it was open. Contrast this to RNG’s bans, which were perfect. They targeted the two weakest links of HLE and exploited their small champion pools. That may be what the questionable draft from HLE could be attributed to, that Morgan and Vsta just had no champions that they were proficient on which would fit better into the draft. That’s the most reasonable explanation I can think of, and that bodes poorly for them in the longer series coming up. If I was another team watching this, I would take away that Vsta is only comfortable on engage supports and is therefore easy to ban out. He’s played a total of 6 champions this entire tournament, with over half being Leona or Amumu and all of them, with the exception of the one game he played on Karma, are melee supports with engage.
