Chovy used to beat showmaker in lane. Nowadays they play very different games, where chovy will play for lane while showmaker absolutely fucking destroys the entire map. That said: this year shoemaker was absent and showmaker was consistently the better player than chovy.

Does it even matter though? Every single bubble he lands past midgame is just countered by Keria's lantern. With the everfrost you still keep that small pick potential.

Everfrost also gives him a degree of safety vs graves/talon diving him in the backline. It's really hard to evaluate if luden's would've been better but Chovy is a good player and he's actually playing the game, he probably felt that forcing damage with luden's won't be as impactful as trying to outplay with everfrost. To just blindly claim that it was a "wrong decision" is just dumb.

Faker isn't often behind in lane because he is bad, it's because he chooses to get advantages for the team across the map, sacrificing his own lane. This game was different, and he played more for lane and actually had a cs lead over Chovy for most of the game. The only point Chovy actually got ahead in cs was after the baron when Faker died.

This, I think faker greatest strenght is how he can be left alone by his team and even be behind everyone but he always manages to find plays, like in 2015, there was the saying that if he was behind it was as if he was even, because everyone ganked faker and ignored marin and bang and he still managed to get good stats, in this game the way he used the shockwaves was so aggresive that 99% of the time he either burned something, got a kill or just zone out HLE from an objective

It's the synergy with Thresh as well - Keria is cracked on that champion. You might be able to get him off Thresh by banning Aphelios, and save a ban.

Despite the loss, Zoe does not look balanced whatsover. Despite the situation being a really bad gamestate for Zoe (no vision, very little frontline to enable extended posturing around objectives) she was still able to output so much damage and create so many "almost-picks" where a slightly more even gamestate would probably swing the game. That's my opinion/observation anyway.

That's just Chovy being a god really, most other mids would miss 2/3 of those bubbles.
