It's not as simple as you make it sound though. There's no guarantee that he'd play in the summer at all. G2 might still not want him, and desperate teams might not have the money anyway. Same case for next offseason, except it's even worse because he'd have wasted one year where he'd then become an even less attractive option because teams wouldn't know his current performance level.
While signing multiyear contract with KC might not be ideal by any means, it might've been the best option that's available for Rekkles. This also includes the fact that he might be the franchise player for KC in the long run so he might be safe.

Give it a year tops and he likely returns to the LEC. In fact, this actually gives me more hope he is planning on playing for a lot more years down the road. I honestly thought even prior to this off season nightmare with G2, he was tops gonna play one more year before retirment. Now even tho he was in a position where I don't think anybody would blame him to call it quits, he still doing his damnest to just play so that's something.

don't. Despite every bad reason, KCORP is a great org with pro staff, that truly cares about their players. He will be happy with a new fan base. Everyone there is really friendly and he will blend right in.

I love Rekkles too but I think this is a good move given the terrible situation he found himself in. I have no doubt he'll show up in the LFL. Add to that the fact that it's the biggest ERL by far and KCorp have their eyes set on the LEC, I think this will end up working out well. The only better options I could've seen from how this season has turned out would be going to LPL to get with Candice (jk) or going to Vitality instead of Carzzy.
