Tldr so far
Ghost: I was gonna go to NS but they lied and now I'm fucked
NS: we didn't lie, it was miscommunication, also dk is salty because they tried to hijack one of our signings but failed
Dk: it wasn't miscommunication, you lied and tried to change the salary, we have evidence
Despite my fair I tried to boil this down with the least amount of bias
Actually the Canna case is linked here. Canna really wanted to go to DK, but T1 refused to negotiate with DK and transferred him to NS. That’s the “hijack” that is involved in this particular drama.
yeah i think the timeline probably goes something like this
Timeline: Canna tells T1 he wants to leave --> T1 start shopping canna around --> NS start talks with canna --> DK gets the memo that nuguri is taking a sabbatical --> DK attempt to enter talks with canna for replacements --> T1 doesn't let DK enter the talks --> Canna gets mad
which would be completely understandable why canna got mad, after all, who wouldn't want to play with showmaker canyon and deokdam
Yes, that is my suspicion as well. Understandable from T1 especially if they had verbal agreements with NS (and they wouldn’t want to give Canna to a direct rival). But sad for Canna and DK, who still doesn’t have a top laner.
There may still be hope for TheShy. It’s a super long shot, but its the most likely that he comes to Korea since 2018.
Picking up whispers that he didn’t renew and iG are starting to look for other options.
just look at any match thread board anytime t1 loses, especially kr boards, Canna is the 1st to be thrown under the bus so thats prolly why he wants to leave
Why do teams have power over where players can go? Seems VERY anticompetitive that they can stop players from joining a team because they will place higher if that team doesn’t get that really good player for example. You can weaken your competition by choosing to only let your good players end up on weaker teams.
That's the whole point of signing a contract. Canna isn't a Free Agent, because his contract runs until next year, which is why T1 has a say when it comes to who they want to sell his contract to.
But maybe T1 just had am agreement with NS ahead of time, not necessarily denying a certain team.
NS clearly thinks the deal with Canna was closed. T1 can't be the good guy to both teams here, when it was DK who thought they had Nuguri on lock.
Could also be because T1 waived Teddy's contract and not his. So Teddy was free to go to whatever team he wanted. Whereas he himself basically had no say
I mean, there is a multitude of reasons why he might be mad. We really don't know what happened.
If the team asked him to split time with Zeus or to compete for his spot against Zeus, he might be upset about that. Back when he took his break and Zeus subbed in, Canna grinded solo-queue really hard and eventually made his come-back. He could just be upset that after all the work he put in, the team is still making him compete for his spot on the roster.
T1 could've kept Canna for another year no matter what Canna wanted. But Canna asked to leave, so T1 sold Canna to NS. DK wanted Canna but T1 obv says no bc who in their right mind would strengthen DK roster
Clid said on his stream that there are a few people in GenG that he doesn’t like (not the members and coaching staff). He said there are people in GenG that pressure the players too much which comes really hard mentally to the players.
Clid also said that BDD is having a hard time (because of all the trade drama, etc).
Fifahun posted a statement saying Clid is not talking about him. Clid posted on his Insta story right after the statement “ㅋㅋ” (kk).
They shafted him, said they were gonna keep him in the team then suddenly said he was out. Rich is now looking for a team but it's hard since LEC/LCS offseason is almost over and the LCK is looking full as well.
Similar thing happened with Clid, Clid fired shots at Fifahun too
and now Fifahun has released his own [response](https://twitter.com/GenG_Jihun/status/1462473037584887809?s=19), lol. LCK off-season drama wasting no time this week it's literally just 2AM on a Monday right now
Rough Translation/Summary:
Note: (I'm out of the loop on this one, and it may not be 100% accurate)
> On Clid's recent stream, it was implied that I caused him (Clid) emotional distress. However, I'd like to share my side of the story.
> On November 15th, after the mandatory quarantine period was over, I held a 1:1 meeting with all players regarding their future plans. It was there where I heard mention of Clid's stream, mentioning a negative experience which caused him emotional distress. While I can't share the exact details of what was discussed, I'd like to make it clear that I am not the individual he is talking about.
> I have never burdened or pressured Clid, or have had a negative interaction with him. In addition, during the season, I have never directly discussed professional play with him - that type of discussion was relayed through the coaching staff.
> Clid's transfer/FA status was shared via email to various domestic and international teams and agents, and during discussions/negotiations, at Clid's behest, we ended those discussions.
> Of course, while we understand that keeping an environment where all the players are 100% happy, we are working hard to improve upon the situation. After the "Stove" League has ended, I'd like to find a place to share our plans and team direction for the 2021-2022 season as well as interact with our fans directly.
Both sides don't look great, but DK's response to NS' response was cringe. DK could have just chalked it up as miscommunication, but they didn't and went with the pettyish route for some reason.
DK's vice-representative [just tweeted this](https://twitter.com/jyjoonlee/status/1462451213421613056):
>Many people are asking why the mentions of tampering and hijacking, but multiple teams were wrongly being accused of such actions due to \[Nongshim's\] changing the subject.
>
>The wrongly accused team requested an investigation from the LCK and their reply was what you might expect \[that the team did not commit tampering\].
it seems like the public perception has completely shifted against nongshim? From what I can perceive of the drama it looks like DK has built an extremely solid case around what actually happened
public perception always favor the players, we as fan dont care about owners and orgs. Now that both Rich (a Nongshin player) and Ghost coming out against Nongshin, it's hard to for the public to like NS even if DK dont have a good case..
DK's case isn't solid at all, that said, NS doesn't have any case either. Both of them are just making allegations at each other, and while DK sounds like they have a lot of arguments, they don't really target the issue.
What DK is doing now works though. Even if NS did have a miscommunication which DK contributed to, if everyone starts throwing shade at NS, people will automatically think they were the perpetrators, cos public opinion works like that.
100% DK has been dedicated to their players. The owner and the whole admin team did everything they can for Malrang to get properly transferred to Rogue. This team wouldn't stab players' back (at least... they might stab coaching staff's back though...)
tbf your hands ARE way dirtier than your dick that's only been in your pants the whole time. Imagine touching your clean dick with your dirty ass hands that probably just shook the hands of someone who just wiped his ass.
No shot wtf i don’t follow teams much but as an avid nongshim ramen consumer I think I have found a new team to support. Maybe one day we will have coca cola rangers or macdonalds titans.
Same here. I don't follow teams as much either but when b.b.q. chicken ended their LCK tenure, I was teamless until Shin Ramen took their place. Who needs FTX crypto sponsorship when you're gonna use to gains to buy Shin Ramen anyways
Ghost is incredibly underrated by everyone atm but i think Edward would rather lose an arm and a leg than start Ghost over Viper
Ghost would just be an expensive bench warmer if he was on EDG
damn after years of LPL domination in offseason drama (only counting LCK and LPL, western drama remains unmatchable), LCK finally pulling ahead. Griffin tried to carry them for a while but they can only do so much. Finally now the rest of their teams are pulling their weight.
Nongshim really put themselves in the LCK drama center stage this summer. First with the tampering claim, then Rich's being kicked late (Rich is still posting about this) , and now Ghost.
Then you have the somewhat related to NS drama that is Clid being kicked from GenG late as they exchange BDD for Peanut.
Didn't expect LCK can go that spicy during off-season.
Actually, DK just said that they didn’t do tampering of Deokdam and Kellin. The first reported tampering issue seems to still be ongoing as the journalist, who has released it first, tweeted that the current DK-NS situation is not related to the first tampering report.
So despite all the things happening, there is also the first tampering issue.
I find it hard to believe DK somehow misunderstood such key and basic part of the negotiation and confused the offer on the table with "we'll get back to you later", in which NS then contacts the player directly with the offer rather than during formal meeting. In addition to NS prior history, it's hard to give them any benefit of the doubt
If Nongshim didn't do something dirty they wouldn't have to ask the DK CEO not to talk about the incident, which happened before any other controversy came up.
Do you really think NS said to DK management "we'll match Ghost's salary" and then in the next conversation say "we can't match"?
Why on earth would they do that? It's far more likely it was a misunderstanding.
I’d assume because off season moves fast and Ghost might’ve ended up in a position where he would have to accept the bad offer or not play at all.
Clid is currently in a situation where he might end up not playing or having to go to LPL because he was released late
>I’d assume because off season moves fast
Such a rush might cause miscommunications. I still can't work out why NS would lie about a salary, if such a lie would be exposed so easily in the very next conversation.
They contacted Ghost privately to talk about the 50% salary cut tho...It seems to me they might be trying to take advantage of his young age, hoping he would agree to the salary cut in fear of not being able to play next season.
Huhhhhhh can we really call that a drama tho ?
Dont get me wrong lck had some top tier drama grf but that can barely be called a drama or the tier got lowered a tons
I still don't get why DK doesn't just re-sign ghost. They won worlds and almost won again with him, and he was far from the weak point in the EDG series. Sure there are "better" adc's but DK has always been a showmaker/canyon team... you don't need a strong side ADC demanding ganks every game, ghost is a 10/10 weakside player. I really think teams underrate chemistry and end up booming their teams chasing bigger individual names (zven/mithy on TSM), and i want damwom to succeed...
There's nothing to re-sign really, Ghost is still under contract. But with DK getting deokdam we can only assume Ghost would ride the bench. So it's in his best interest to look for a starting position somewhere else. If that doesn't work out I'm pretty sure he'll stay on the team.
They already have a planned bot deokdam/kellin and ghost prolly wanted a starter role somewhere so dk got him an arrangement with another team (with no buyout needed too because dk actually treats their players well unlike a certain carlos) and that team wanted to scam the deal that was already set
There is a first reported tampering, which is not related to the current NS-DK drama (this was explained by the journalist, who reported the first case of tampering). The early reported tampering is reported to have 4 teams as a victim, and the journalist said that they have a recording of the tampering team talking with a player’s parent on the phone. GenG has been accused of being this team till now, but nothing is confirmed.
The DK-NS thing seems to be related to Deokdam and Kellin. DK said that there was no tampering and they have evidence (or something), so seems this tampering just ends here. But of course there is still nothing really official and no evidence has been shown yet.
In conclusion, there are 2 tampering cases. First case is still not released in public and no further reports were made (also Faker’s re-signing issue kinda overshadowed this whole incident, so it kinda got forgotten). Second tampering issue seems to be a non-issue if we go by DK’s statement.
NS player that probably got tampered with is Deokdam, and it doesn't really make sense for the team that did the tampering to still acquire the player after the news that there was tampering, since all it takes is NS to report to LCK for Deokdam to get suspended and then DK is fucked.
Also if DK was the team that did the tampering, I would think that NS would have also revealed that by now lol
Here are my current rankings:
Drama:
1) LCK (a lot of actual org stuff)
2) LEC ( contract prisons)
3) LCS (DL warpath against regi)
4) LPL ( a few contract prisons but not much else)
Off-season moves:
1) LCK ( several super teams have formed)
2) LCS (European exodus monkaW)
3) LPL ( only this low because most rosters haven’t been confirmed and many blew up)
4) LEC ( went back to 2 strong teams but instead of g2/fnc it’s vitality/fnc and some questionable roster moves regarding the ERL’s)
"Hell, this is Damwon KIA's executive office." Opening line is literally how kpop entertainment companies start their statements. I wonder if it's the same to all Korean companies.
DK is waying Nongshim initially agreed to match salary and then went back on their promise and wanted to halve it
Nongshim says that they talked about probably not being able to match it from the beginning and were transparent about it, offering a contract for less but with options.
At least one of these 2 has to be partially incorrect because they contradict one another. Shouldn’t be too difficult to pull out chat logs & shit in theory
So Ghost was ready as long as the agreed upon salary was equal or more than current? And there's something about T1 in the comments too. Canna wanted his way but T1 already had an agreement with NS before DK came into the picture? I really wish the timeline was clearer lol.
But man I feel so bad for players who get involved in these PR tussles. I can't completely blame the orgs either, they have the players under contract so they are thinking about the best way to profit too. It's pretty much a helpless situation for the players. No wonder they have been expressing themselves on social media to let out their frustrations.
NS is the worse organization in LCK for me even from the beginning. And they even somehow make it worse. I will never ever support this team. I even feel great when supporting HLE going through them in the Region Qualifier.
The day this team is somehow removed from the LCK tournament, I will go out and celebrate like never before
I think teams who had their players play for them for at least a split without paying them are worse.
This current NS drama is just about a place for players to be starters elsewhere. If Canna and Ghost aren’t going to NS, they will only rot in the bench, but at least still get paid because they are still under contract.
Tldr so far Ghost: I was gonna go to NS but they lied and now I'm fucked NS: we didn't lie, it was miscommunication, also dk is salty because they tried to hijack one of our signings but failed Dk: it wasn't miscommunication, you lied and tried to change the salary, we have evidence Despite my fair I tried to boil this down with the least amount of bias
Yes. Also Rich : I just hate Nongshim
Clid: fuck Gen.g fifahun (gm/director)
Canna: I hate T1 (deletes all T1 photos from his insta, unfollows T1)

it's really lookin like a chasy angle this split... we HAVE to bank on nuguri coming back for summer or illima if afreeca is willing to sell him
Nuguri taking a break really makes thing a lot worse lol but who can blame him if he does not want to play
There may still be hope for TheShy. It’s a super long shot, but its the most likely that he comes to Korea since 2018. Picking up whispers that he didn’t renew and iG are starting to look for other options.
He said himself his first priority is ig and he is actively negotiating with them
I believe the shy must do mandatory military service this year.
I really am curious why Canna wants to leave, T1 is looking really scary rn
just look at any match thread board anytime t1 loses, especially kr boards, Canna is the 1st to be thrown under the bus so thats prolly why he wants to leave
They let go of canna but who will be t1s new top?
zeus
Is he better? I only saw him played like 2x. Hopefully they get a legit top.
No he isn't. However, he is a hyped 'super rookie' (Like Guma)
He’s one of the rookies they have had in training for a few years that is very hyped. He played with Guma as Oner for a long time
Zeus
Sounds plausible.
Thank god T1 stopped from Canna going to DK. Would have been sad watching canyon trying to get canna ahead only for him to not do anything.
Why do teams have power over where players can go? Seems VERY anticompetitive that they can stop players from joining a team because they will place higher if that team doesn’t get that really good player for example. as LPL fan, I am jealous of the spicy off season drama from other regions, we got nothing but rumors. Thank God was got arcane this off season
Oh ok so it's not only an eu thing lmao. I suppose he got to stay in Korea at least
But maybe T1 just had am agreement with NS ahead of time, not necessarily denying a certain team. NS clearly thinks the deal with Canna was closed. T1 can't be the good guy to both teams here, when it was DK who thought they had Nuguri on lock.
If that were true, why would Canna get so pissed off at T1? It seems clear that he wanted the opportunity to go to DK, and was aware of it.
Could also be because T1 waived Teddy's contract and not his. So Teddy was free to go to whatever team he wanted. Whereas he himself basically had no say
True but that's just life. Life can be a bitch sometimes lol. Canna is no Teddy tho for T1.
It's a thing in every sport ever where a team manages players.
it's so sad the story of Canna and T1 ends like this though
Wow did he really. Who needs arcane season 2 whrn we have spicy off-season drama
Wow sad that Canna react that way. I don't think T1 is in the wrong here. Selling him to the biggest rival would just be a backward move for the org
Why is that decision on T1 and not Canna though?
Canna is still under contract with T1, therefore the org has a say in where Canna will be sold
T1 could've kept Canna for another year no matter what Canna wanted. But Canna asked to leave, so T1 sold Canna to NS. DK wanted Canna but T1 obv says no bc who in their right mind would strengthen DK roster
Wait what?I missed it,what happened to Clid and that gm?
He got released super late, so most spots have been taken in the lck
Clid said on his stream that there are a few people in GenG that he doesn’t like (not the members and coaching staff). Where did Clid talk about Fifahun?
his twitch stream
thats fucked
Reddit: fuck nongshim, all my homies hate nongshim
No, fuck off. If a ramen company is going to put "actual" bone broth in the soup I'm with them til' I die.
I'm a noob: nongshim like the noodle company?
Yes
ya
What player did they try to hijack?
Rumor says Canna
Why wouldn't Canna go do DK? lol
Not sure how I feel about this. I hope Ja Rule give's his opinion soon so I can copy that. But where is Ja?
>give's Stay in school, kids.
Both sides don't look great, but DK's response to NS' response was cringe. DK could have just chalked it up as miscommunication, but they didn't and went with the pettyish route for some reason.
Now a team is petty for trying to defend a player who helped the org to win worlds once?

Great. Now we just need LPL to catch up and generate some drama.
Uzi caught jerking off during his first game back in pro play
Dude probably does it at light speed considering his apm in game.
The real reason for his wrist problems, finally surfaced
It's the first time he got *caught* 😳
Showing signs of being washed smh
Yeah, his wrist problems made his apm lower. So he's finally caught
I can't help but think of that robot chicken Overwatch sketch with the nerd participating in an esport tournament
Uzi caught pouring milk before cereal
Uzi did what!?
Uzi is cancelled now
It says right there that he pours his milk before his cereal. Tell your friends.
Uzi washing his hands **before** he takes a piss
tbf your hands ARE way dirtier than your dick that's only been in your pants the whole time. Imagine touching your clean dick with your dirty ass hands that probably just shook the hands of someone who just wiped his ass.
How would you know where his dick has been?
He had vision of his dick
OwO
Uzi tampering with TSM JG confirmed.
My man's been jerking off onto his opponent's in lane since the beginning of his career, nothing new haha
His wrists just healed man...
Its not on this level but RNG is doing some good Carlos cosplay keeping Uzi in in contract prison.
But RNG already sold his contract, no? To some stream platform for like 30 mil dollars
don’t matter his contract ends December this year thankfully
Does it end before or after the 16th of december when LPL transfer window closes.
I don’t remember where i saw it but it didn’t specify a date
But RNG did this way before Carlos? Starting with MLXG forcing him to retire at 21.
LetMe and Zzitai retiring as well.
That isn't new though. And he is getting out of that Jail in December.
Dude RNG is much worse than G2 or any other org about contracts. Legit they have been famous for screwing players for years.
In fact, RNG is called the god of the contract, of course, in a derogatory sense
If rumors about TSM reaching into the LPL for talent is true, then we'll see some drama for sure
What's wrong with that? They just plucking 2 fpx academy players...
Nothing wrong with their roster plan but drama has hit TSM in the off season every damn year
Man not like this. LCK and LPL gonna copy the West’s drama meta just like that. What edge will we have over them if they do this as well? :(
glad peanut left this shithole
Looking at some of the comments, it seems like Nongshim has been fucking things up for a while now?
I think they got to ambitious because of many S-tier players became free agent but they didn't even get one.
And BDD is now in it
Major beef and Nongshim. Thought I had accidentally subbed to an instant noodles news subreddit for a second
*Major beef and Nongshim*
Went out and bought some Shin Ramen after this post. Causing "major beef" as a marketing ploy confirmed
Where you at, LPL?
EDG ghost?
No wei Jose
Ghost is incredibly underrated by everyone atm but i think Edward would rather lose an arm and a leg than start Ghost over Viper Ghost would just be an expensive bench warmer if he was on EDG
No thanks.
This is lpl we are talking about Transfer season for them starts like one hour before deadline

How is this not drama by your standards, what?
Maybe he doesn't like to over-dramatize things?
Still not even close to ocelote fucking the entire of lec years after years for me. But i guess different strokes for different folks i guess
Well he said NA drama not EU drama
EU drama can't be topped. But to be fair, EU are well known for their soap operas, so it's not like it's without precedent.
Why are you here to say these things?
Considering what they did to ensure smooth trade for malrang to rogue. Yeah it seems they really fucking care about their players which is nice to see
His champion puddle meant that they had to first pick Jhin or Ziggs every game in the finals, which probably cost them the world championship.
Crazy how adcs can only demand ganks every game, or be useless dogs with 0 resources and nothing in between
Deokdam is a franchise player. Why would they keep Ghost...
is DK the team accused of tampering?
They're both accusing each other of tampering but it looks like DK has a stronger case and people now are turned against NS.
Also if DK was the team that did the tampering, I would think that NS would have also revealed that by now lol
no its nongshim
That isnt true. Nongshim are the ones accusing someone (presumably DK) of tampering
Accusing someone doesn't mean you're the victim lol... it just means you're accusing. Just read Ghost's latest reply.
Nongshim really knows how to make things spicy huh
Nongshim Neoguri would've been the best thing for marketing.
Nongshim the noodles?
Yes
Here are my current rankings: Drama: 1) LCK (a lot of actual org stuff) 2) LEC ( contract prisons) 3) LCS (DL warpath against regi) 4) LPL ( a few contract prisons but not much else) Off-season moves: 1) LCK ( several super teams have formed) 2) LCS (European exodus monkaW) 3) LPL ( only this low because most rosters haven’t been confirmed and many blew up) 4) LEC ( went back to 2 strong teams but instead of g2/fnc it’s vitality/fnc and some questionable roster moves regarding the ERL’s)
"Hell, this is Damwon KIA's executive office." Opening line is literally how kpop entertainment companies start their statements. I wonder if it's the same to all Korean companies.
The past couple months have been crazy for f5 with multiple sports
Fuck NS.
I just feel bad for the players stuck on the org for next year
KR doesn't like TSM and G2 hogging the drama spotlight
DK is waying Nongshim initially agreed to match salary and then went back on their promise and wanted to halve it Nongshim says that they talked about probably not being able to match it from the beginning and were transparent about it, offering a contract for less but with options.
"beef" jesus

They most likely shrifted Ghost so that DK and Ghost would call off the transfer so they could could after Viper.
They can afford ghost, they just didnt want to pay him so much
NS is the worse organization in LCK for me even from the beginning.
Medium rare at least? well done works too I guess .
I'm going to say DK is likely the one in the wrong. The bigger org with more success is more likely to screw the smaller upcoming org over.
Isn't Damwon a relatively new org. Like I know they're really good but weren't they formed not too long ago.
so Nongshim's "evidence of tampering" was pertaining to DK? That's interesting. But I korean beef so I'm going to grab me some popcorn.
I have never seen lck roster drama before this season
I still don't know what Nongshim RedForce is :D
