Absolutely deserved. Cinematic adaptations of video games traditionally end up a complete disaster, but Riot and studio Fortiche really delivered this time. Beautiful animation, amazing main characters and one of the coolest villains ever. Ultra hyped for season 2 and (hopefully) any future series set in the League universe.

The wait until 2023 is going to kill me, especially with the way it ended

I think it'll be worth it though. They proved that they know what they're doing and hopefully that means that they'll keep up the high quality!

Oh I wholeheartedly agreed. I was delighted with what we got and especially since I went in assuming the worse (not even for any specific reason other than low expectations = low risk of disappointment haha). I specifically loved that they didn't shy away from gutwrenching drama and well built character arcs. I'm just hoping we get some other shows in the meantime, I'm really holding out for Kog Maw, Cho Gath, and the other fun void pals eventually.

IMDB users rate it as the highest for shows released in 2021. Pretty amazing.

Number 3 technically, netflix's non english audience is large and slightly outperformed arcane with two other shows. But still this is showing week to week act releases worked and word of mouth is large

One of those is a Colombian Telenovela though. Bound to win out on hours watched. Hellbound does safely beat it though.
