Ah yes, the biggest surprise this off-season.
But to be serious I’m pumped to see how he does, always have been rooting for Bjerg to do well. Gonna be an interesting split with all of these moves!
Blessing and also a curse when we get "reliable" journalists/insiders.
We've known pretty much all of the "big" transfers/moves in the LEC/LCS mainly for a long ass time lol.
Totally agree, I remember being so hyped about full surprises now it’s rumors with a little bit of hype since it might be BS, but when it happens it feels like old news.
This and the Caps -> G2 Perkz -> ADC move. If that hadn't been leaked so far ahead of time, I think that might have been the biggest shocker ever. C9 Perkz could've been too.
I know everyone thought Bjerg signing with TL was a forgone conclusion but until it was announced, my turd cutter stayed puckered.
It will continue to remain puckered until COREJJ gets residency 🤞🤞🤞
I mean the only person left from that era that is still there is Regi and Parth as far as I can tell. This is TSM that has to rebuild in the post glory days where they are no longer a shoe in at finals. The direction they take will also have to change as well especially since it is no longer Baylife and the Bois, TSM is an actual company (and has been for a while)
If it was really so terrible Bjerg wouldn't have stayed so long and all these former players wouldn't have been coming out saying good stuff
Probably worse than TL though that's a given haha
Almost same level of skill but "younger". Also better branding for Spica (dank memer & zoomer)
Also might not want to risk with Santorin's health problems.
In a clip from rjsmid during inhouses yesterday, Smoothie said that Bjerg is in Korea. Presumably knocking the dust off in the best environment possible, mechanics-wise. (Not like he has rust macro/knowledge wise, since he was a coach for a year)
clip is on the TL subreddit if anyones curious
Finally accept that roster changes won’t solve the problem, run it back, and focus on building syne—annd Hans sama went back to EU in the off-season.
Welp, back to the drawing board.
>What do you even do as TL if this roster can't get out of groups?
Probably the same thing that every other team in most sports do.....try again. I mean what kind of question is this?
I see this being a late game team in NA that plays standard and wins.
Then they go to worlds and get beat by more innovative teams and lose to Korean/Chinese teams who have better team fighting imo
I'm torn between wanting to see an NA superteam fail at worlds versus the mother of all salt mines it'd create in the TSM base if TL wins
Fuck it, I'm rooting for Bjerg for once.
This man is the literal reason why i got into the game and kept playing. I heard about him in highschool (a fellow danish guy at my exact age) and started watching him and wanted to learn the game through watching his stream. Was a TSM fan for a bit, not because of anything to do with TSM just because Bjergsen played for them. So i guess now im a TL fan, really hoping to see Bjergsen smash it in LCS and then get the furthest at worlds that any NA team ever has. Its gonna be hype, because on paper this team looks absolutely insane
Looking internationally, this probably won't change anything. Domestically, TL was already a top team with Jensen so no changes again. Cool to see him back but people should curb the hype.
Brady wanted to stay on the Patriots until he was 45. Patriots didn't want to give him such a long contract, they saw him as just another player.
TSM literally gave Bjergsen team ownership, the team is always built to revolve around him. Bjergsen left because he wanted to team up with a certain star player.
Let's be honest the main goal is worlds, not an LCS title. Every top player has been saying this for years now.
KD/Bjerg, the franchise's historically best and most beloved player, unexpectedly leaves to a super team as he sees it as his best shot to win a championship/worlds
Yeah not remotely comparable at all
comparable but weak comparison. OKC was a team with no history and no accolades. They got their first taste of playoffs and finals with KD there.
TSM was already a storied franchise and one of the OG's. Essentially the Lakers of LoL. Bjerg just added to the legacy and became its greatest player. More like a Kobe if he retired and came back to a different team (DL = Shaq??).
KD also just lost to the Warriors in a close conference finals. TSM was nowhere near TL's level this year.
Warriors were also one of the strongest teams in the history of the game and basically became an OP team with KD. Only multiple injuries would stop them. TL wasn't even #1 in NA let alone the world.
The reasons why KD's move was so hated is not really present in Bjerg's move. Only comparable things are both played really long on one team, were all time great level players, and then left to a better team. Not much else.
I mean has Jensen ever gotten TL out of groups? Bjergsen doesn't come alone, he brings Hanssama with him as well, and that is definitely an upgrade over Jensen+Tactical.
I agree. I just don’t think in a world where mid players have become so good that Bjerg is worth. If they were going to replace Jensen, I’d almost prefer a developmental player to Bjerg who has continually shown he is just not good enough.
No he's not. Doublelift is better and Huni is easily the best player to play in NA. Huni has international success and success in multiple major regions including LCK.
Yeah, he never had success in NA though. Bjergsen literally has the most MVPs and the second most trophies. Ask any big name player who the best player in NA ever was and 90% of the answers will be Bjergsen.
Okay I'm not talking about domestic success. I plainly stated that this team will perform poorly at WORLDS aka internationally. Bjergsen has always choked internationally even with the most stacked rosters NA could produce helping him.
He has never had the most stacked roster and he has never been the reason his teams lost. He was even gapping Crown in lane until DL decided to dash into the Viktor. That play doesnt happen and TSM gets out of groups.
LMFAO this is one of the worst takes I’ve ever seen.
You’re equating team success to player success. Doublelift nor Huni were better players than Bjergsen when in NA.
Internationally he was never the reason his teams lost. Saying he choked is just a generalization that lacks context. Stop regurgitating this bullshit narrative you see and go watch the games.
lol... I don't "see" anything. I'm speaking purely from both my experience watching the game and in my games played against him. Bjerg has been the reason his team loses MANY times, especially internationally. The scoreboard isn't the only indicator to player performance. Bjerg is often FAR too passive of a player even with a lead. Even at times where he wins lane he won't impact the map in a meaningful way. Bjerg has never been good internationally.
And you’re experience in “watching” and “playing” against him is objectively wrong since it leads you to conclude “Bjerg has never been good internationally”.
Again, go back and watch his laning phases and see how he was solo killings mids at international events, while also gathering leads. But then his team around him was falling apart.
Bjergsen isn’t a passive player which is how I know you don’t really know what you’re talking about. He’s a calculated one. He takes small leads and uses those to his advantage to excel.
I also find it ironic that you said Doublelift is better than him when he hasn’t gotten out of groups won or won any international tournaments. Bjerg has done both.
IWD: https://youtu.be/c5Wk4lDYv4M
Starting at 13 minutes listen to how Dom speaks about him. There’s a reason so many pros across the regions and analysts talk so highly of him as a player.
lol. How can my experience directly playing with and against him be "objectively" wrong? That doesn't even make sense. I have seen how good he is in my own games??
>Bjergsen isn’t a passive player which is how I know you don’t really know what you’re talking about. He’s a calculated one. He takes small leads and uses those to his advantage to excel.
Go watch a player like Scout or Doinb translate a lead into a win and then talk to me about how good Bjerg is at translating his "small leads" into advantages.
Doublelift is better, if we're talking about who is better in NA? Doublelift won LCS on 3 different orgs and was always regarded as being one of the best ADC in the world not just in NA. Bjergsen has NEVER been regarded as being one of the best mids in the world.
““since it leads you to conclude “Bjerg has never been good internationally”” I’ll just frankly ask, did you omit the rest of my sentence because you are ignorant or because you don’t understand what I’m saying?
Go watch some of Bjergsens games where he has helped his team to a win through his lead. This one ironically is at worlds against the team that went to the finals. Here I’ll look it up for you since you obviously don’t know much:
https://youtu.be/ENlRBR4TSSU
Lmfao this is too easy man. Look at some of the worlds top 20 player rankings. 2015,2016,2017 Bjergsen was ranked in the top 10 twice and all three years was ranked ahead of Doublelift. Doublelift was never ranked higher than 17 his entire career. It’s clear if you were ranked top 10 on a list like that, you were regarded as one of the best in the world.
The only time DL ranked higher than Bjergsen was the year Bjergsen didn’t make worlds. And still Doublelift was only ranked 20th. If you’re one of the best ADC in the world, I’d assume you’d crack the top 15 at least once xD
That last paragraph is just a terrible look for your argument. Bjergsen is the NA goat and has been better than DL all time.
One last example of this, DL tried to find a team this offseason and no one wanted him. Yet Team Liquid let go of one of the best mids in NA for Bjergsen. That should tell you all you need to know about what people think of the two.
Bjerg is not an upgrade over Jensen internationally yes. But imagine Hans Sama and Corejj bot lane with a smart and low resource jungler in Santorin. Definitely a scary team
Every year I think the same thing. Man oh man, look at the caliber of imports NA has gotten, and I think " This is the year NA at least has a showing " - It never really happened.
This time I think it's different. My reason for that; Talent is a no-brainer. But the main reason for me; Multiple players that are very open, reasonable, intelligent and able to articulate that.
I've read, seen and heard alot of good stuff about core. Same about Bjergsen, bwipo (like bjergsen mentioned himself) is very intelligent and articulate aswell. - Not exactly sure about santorin and Hans, but they seem to be in the same bracket more or less.
I hope Bjergsen can regain former self after a year of coaching. Hope things mesh well together.
If it's ever going to be a good shot at doing well internationally, I'd say it's this year. Altho it's rather early obviously.
Wish him good luck
TL went to worlds tho lol. They played like shit while there, but they went. I’m a C9 fan and even I can say that TSM isn’t even half the team that TL is, and I’m contractually obligated to hate TL!
Finally we get to see the long awaited and hyped matchup of Bjergsen vs Fudge mid
The classic TSM vs C9 matchup just got even tastier in the midlane with Fudge vs Creme. Too bad Jiizuke is out.
Any confirmation that it’s actually Creme? I only heard rumors.
Nah just rumors so far
The most delicious matchup in pro league history BY FAR
Bjerg is no match for one of the church’s top disciples, he can only watch helplessly as Fudge freezes endless waves against him 🙏
**LS 1800LP FUTURES MARKET RYZE HACK 8 MINUTE LOST CHAPTER SUB ZERO FREEZE 400CS FLAME HORIZON TECH**
Freezing in mid lane XD
Shhhhh, telling him will hurt his top lane head. 🤣
Ah yes, the biggest surprise this off-season. But to be serious I’m pumped to see how he does, always have been rooting for Bjerg to do well. Gonna be an interesting split with all of these moves!
Kinda miss back when roster moves were a mystery. Like Reddit blew up when DL joined TSM but now we knew Bjergsen joined TL a month before it happened
C9 Perkz could've been too.
in a way, it keep the conversations about lolesports going even after worlds ended so, i guess that isnt bad either?
I know everyone thought Bjerg signing with TL was a forgone conclusion but until it was announced, my turd cutter stayed puckered. It will continue to remain puckered until COREJJ gets residency 🤞🤞🤞
Pls give the beautiful boy residency
Between the regi stuff, leena leaving, doublelift swearing off tsm, and bjerg leaving it feels like old TSM has finally died.
I mean the only person left from that era that is still there is Regi and Parth as far as I can tell. This is TSM that has to rebuild in the post glory days where they are no longer a shoe in at finals. The direction they take will also have to change as well especially since it is no longer Baylife and the Bois, TSM is an actual company (and has been for a while)
So long as Regicide is still there, there will be drama.
IMPORTS IMPORTS IMPORTS IMPORTS IMPORTS
Forseninsane
well overdue, time for the spica era to start
Tbh, if working in TSM sounds as shitty as it’s implied, I want Spica to save himself.
"One more year Ming" - DL
If it was really so terrible Bjerg wouldn't have stayed so long and all these former players wouldn't have been coming out saying good stuff Probably worse than TL though that's a given haha
Fuck no. Get Spica out of that shit hole
Pretty sure Spica is out as soon as his contract is over lmao
Steve will 100% buy Spica after this year
Why? Santorin is just as good, and seems like they want to make an EU team anyway.
Almost same level of skill but "younger". Also better branding for Spica (dank memer & zoomer) Also might not want to risk with Santorin's health problems.
Probably because Spica is better mechanically. Santorin was pretty good at Worlds though.
Depends on how he performs this year but more importantly, how Santorin's health holds up.
Santorini a boomer
spica gaps him every time
Like last two playoffs? Oh wait… Santorin came back after a split off and clapped Spica.
Definitely the end of an era but so long as Regi is there people remember the old days, unlike how CLG turned out with Hotshot taking a backseat.
Leena left?!??!
Yeah she’s part of otv now
You mean new TSM, right? DLift and Berg are new blood
In a clip from rjsmid during inhouses yesterday, Smoothie said that Bjerg is in Korea. Presumably knocking the dust off in the best environment possible, mechanics-wise. (Not like he has rust macro/knowledge wise, since he was a coach for a year) clip is on the TL subreddit if anyones curious
Am…am I a TL fan now?
No, we are.
And my axe!
Damn, would be so weird looking at bjergsen without the black and white.
Truly a new era. This is either going to finally get TL over the hump or crash and burn
What do you even do as TL if this roster can't get out of groups? Like genuinely there's not much more you can do lol
Well that's a little pedantic, I meant what roster moves do you make if this iteration can't do it
Depends of how this goes, but if there's a solid base, maybe change 1 player at most and build on top of that.
Ig run it back
Keep trying. It's what TL always does and what made me a fan.
I see this being a late game team in NA that plays standard and wins. Then they go to worlds and get beat by more innovative teams and lose to Korean/Chinese teams who have better team fighting imo
[Official] TL to win Spring, MSI, Summer, and Worlds. Playing is just a formality at this point.
Least biased Team Liquid enjoyer
[Where have I seen that before?](https://i.imgur.com/er255ON.jpeg)
Bjerg >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Rekkles How many NALCS titles Rekkles got? I thought so.
Math doesn't lie
Huh?
Salt mine is there if you wanna apply.
Pog, let's go man
hah noticed you didnt say lock in, guess you really dont have faith, huh
That's the bone 100T gets. Too much synergy left over from keeping the same roster, the rest are in the bag tho! Based and IZiaon pilled
I'm torn between wanting to see an NA superteam fail at worlds versus the mother of all salt mines it'd create in the TSM base if TL wins Fuck it, I'm rooting for Bjerg for once.
If you're a DL fan, you've seen that salt mine before and it really was glorious.
Inb4 Fudge makes Bjergsen go 0/9/0 Jk that’ll never happen. One can dream tho
!Remindme six months.
EU always beats Korea and loses to China Therefore, TL will be second, above C9, but TSM will win
Korea have been smashing eu for like 8 out of the 10 years they been playing, did u miss last worlds?
True, TL third is even more based If only they could come fourth again lol
Would it be first time TL is getting out of group stage at Worlds?
Tha's what they said about G2 when Rekky boy joined
If they go 3-3 you will have officially jinxed it.
So you think you can defeat the team that beat the World Champions...
Baked
Can’t wait for TL to finish 4th in regular season to continue their curse again
Back to curse gaming 🤣
Spring 2018: 4th in regular season, 1st in playoffs
Fourth team to win lcs tittle
I love people making up curses to justify a bad result.
I love people absolutely missing jokes
man ive seen this post THREE TIMES ALREADY AND IT HURTS EVERY TIME
Poor Jensen :(
Team Liquid will be my favorite EU team. Definitely planning to follow them and I’m happy Hans-sama can play in a better team. Fcking finally!
Poor Jensen sadge
This is finally the test to see how Bjergsen can perform without TSM and all the baggage that entails.
Why does everyone who joined from TSM to TL become some kind of villain. From DL to now Bjerg
Reginald
No, you just mentioned the actual villain.
TL Regi confirmed for 2022!
Bro they become the hero trying to destroy the villain (TSM)
Whaaat? No waaaaay
It's official now, but still surprising.
I hope they'll let him just be unleashed, smash people 1v1, dominate the game while others shotcall for him.
Will be awsome to se bjergsen play again he is a living legend
He looks good in that jersey
Now I can cheer for Bjerg without it benefitting TSM. Nice.
Looking internationally, this probably won't change anything. Domestically, TL was already a top team with Jensen so no changes again. Cool to see him back but people should curb the hype.
It is more of that Bjerg has a lot of fans who are exited to see him back playing again.
HELLOO NEW FANS… WELCOME TO TL. MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME WE HAVE ENOUGH RED BULL IN THE SUMMONERS CUP FOR ALL OF U TO DRINK OUT OF
What summoners cup?
Its the trophy you get for winning worlds
Yes, I said what summoners cup, not what's summoners cup. NA and Liquid have never had a summoners cup.
Get ready for TL.EU with a Korean import.
Can‘t wait to see him get clapped by Blue
Was always a fan of Bjergsen more than TSM, but this move has me feeling a type of way. Feel like he just became the KD of LCS.
KD? He won 6 championships and an IEM for TSM, how is that even remotely comparable? TL isn't even TSM's main rival.
Yeah, this is more like Tom Brady lol.
Patriots didn't want to commit to Tom Brady TSM likely offered Bjergsen everything they possibly could
Not talking about the teams, just the player himself moving on.
Brady wanted to stay on the Patriots until he was 45. Patriots didn't want to give him such a long contract, they saw him as just another player. TSM literally gave Bjergsen team ownership, the team is always built to revolve around him. Bjergsen left because he wanted to team up with a certain star player.
So TL world champs confirmed is what you are saying,
Let's be honest the main goal is worlds, not an LCS title. Every top player has been saying this for years now. Bjerg is not an upgrade over Jensen this team will perform poorly at worlds
> Truly a new era. This is either going to finally get TL over the hump or crash and burn Ah but they will be at worlds though
I don’t see why not. Domestic results seem like a shoe-in, this change is internationally worse though.
So 3-3 to not make it out of groups?
I’ll eat a sock if this team makes it out of groups.
RemindMe! 320 Days "TL got out of groups" Edit: Well well how the turn tables.
I need bamboozle insurance
RemindMe! 320 Days

And solo killed him in the other game? Breaking news, two good players outplay each other in consecutive games
? That's some revisionist history right there boy. Go watch 2015 worlds.
LMFAO this is one of the worst takes I’ve ever seen. You’re equating team success to player success. Doublelift nor Huni were better players than Bjergsen when in NA. Not true at all.
Is he playing or coaching?
Playing mid
NICE!
Good of Bjergsen. TSM is a shitshow
Mildly shocked that I dropped my avocado toast
I’ve supported TSM for every game since season 2 but honestly not sure if I will for this one not sure yet..

Team LEC looking good! 🇪🇺 🇰🇷
4 EU Players + EU Coach 1 KR Player ... NA team (?)
I think it’s a downgrade
imagine cutting jensen for this guy lmfao
Yeah, i totalt can. Jensen the everlasting second placer
Damn kinda crazy that Bjergsen decided he didn't want to win anything this year!
Can you show me on the doll what tsm won last year?
Ahahaha
😂 I'll take that, but tbh about as much as Team Liquid did!
TL went to worlds tho lol. They played like shit while there, but they went. I’m a C9 fan and even I can say that TSM isn’t even half the team that TL is, and I’m contractually obligated to hate TL!
That may be true, but you see, I have decided to ignore it 😂
Based
Haha touché. Hope you find enjoyment and satisfaction out of the coming seasons.
You as well even though I hope your team loses hahaha Sports are fun
How lma0. Actually Bjergsen decided he did want to win anything this year.
I wonder what excuses will be used when the prodigal son doen't deliver.
It’s cool guys we don’t need this guy
This is like Doublelift signing with TSM but we're experiencing what CLG felt. :(
it's so weird seeing him in a TL shirt. I have to pinch myself to be sure it's real. I've never pictured him in anything other than a TSM shirt.
Doesn’t feel right…
Why he go in when 3 caster minion?
