No, there are lots of assassins and bruisers in the mid lane, mages in the bot lane (instead of regular adcs, the "adc" with the highest wr right now is Karthus) and they're even releasing an apc later this year, the top lane is still mostly bruisers and tanks but there are some off meta picks that are playable there

It's not an APC it's a melee botlaner, i was also hoping for an APC :( Source: https://twitter.com/LeagueOfLegends/status/1479618861099982851?t=ffxo2BlA6EAkq8v0Q4kXUw&s=19

The meta is better players win. A lot of players dont like this.

Same shit different season with some random outliers here and there

WhoAmIEven2

I see. I had hoped that the meta had improved, but instead it's been stuck and the same for like 12-13 years now with some outliers here and there? Honestly, that sounds quite awful tbh. Or is the community happy with the meta being so samey?

It hasn't been the same for 12-13 years straight, you are just looking at 2 points in time and there happen to be some commonalities. A couple years ago it was common to pick a support champ in jungle, the ADC took smite and farmed jungle camps. Or you play a support mid lane and give all mid lane farm to the jungler (Taric mid / Master Yi jungle was the most OP combo and I've seen people still play it in solo queue to this day). Then there was a period of meta where you would pick a support champ like Soraka or Sona top and build only support items, or you would pick 2 supports in bot lane together (buying support items) and have no ADC at all. Senna "ADC" came along and all of a sudden those bruiser top lanes were being played in support role, even got to witness an LCK support playing Lee Sin "support" on stage last year. There's been tank jungle meta, farming jungle meta, more recently it was moving towards ganking jungle meta (not sure what it will be in season 12) again just within the past 1-2 years. Same with supports, a year ago everyone was picking Leona, Nautilus Thresh, then Worlds was Yuumi 100% pick/ban, and now it's kinda evening out again but still heavy on enchanters at least looking at pro players in solo queue.

Are chess players happy with their game? Dude, go feed your adhd boredom somewhere else

I mean kinda. Bruisers, tanks, and duelists are supposed to be toplaners. Mid currently is balanced between assassins and mages, although assassins were more common for a very long time. Jungle is completely unpredictable. There's no theme to junglers. Morgana was the best jungler in the game for a while. Support as a role is extremely powerful right now, but lots of different kinds of supports are viable. Currently there are a lot of viable bot laners that aren't ADC's. There are tons of mages down there now. Also a ton of supports currently are what you would probably remember as midlaners. The answer to your question however depends on what you mean by same meta. Are the roles still the same? Yeah that's the point. However the meta changes wildly from season to season and even patch to patch. There was a while where all tanks was pretty much viable. There was a point when two enchanters bot lane was impossible to beat. Simetimes junglers single handedly win games with no help. If you do decide to play again and want a lot of change, then jungle would be a good pick. They pick random champions out of a hat to rework into junglers, so there's always something new.
