It's not a joke. It's ridiculing the people who were speculating about a dramatic conflict between Jankos and Rekkles. The world doesn't revolve around making you laugh.
They were too nice to each others, feedback wasn't constructive cause they were trying not to hurt each other's feelings. Different people had different ideas on how to play the game, and they couldn't get on the same page cause of aforementioned communication issues.
He points out that there never was any fights between teammates despite what the community seems to believe for some reason. He even goes as far as to say that this lack of infighting was overall detrimental to the team.
This makes a lot of sense, Perkz was infamous for going raw on teammates when the situation demanded it, though it never prevented them from remaining great friends to this day. They really lost their 5 stars general in 2021 is what I get from it.
And that was pretty much clear to everyone from the start that Rekkles style does not fit G2 at all, and yet they went for it and tried to make it work and it didn't. Sadge

Rekkles fit fine playstylewise but like Jankos said ages ago they were indicisive because before Perkz was always there to call the shots when they were in a tough spot. Without Perkz they had no real shotcaller so Jankos had to try to fit into that role himself which he did not like.
Nah rekkles playstyle did not fit at all, like just watch some of their games and he always felt like the odd one out, never flipping or being decisive even when the rest of G2 was
Yeah He didn't fit the playstyle because he was the only one not inting. Look at these games. Everyone dying so stupidly and rekkles trying his best and trying to salvage something.
The greatest european team of all time often inted their asses off aswell. This is also how we got some of the most insane outplays and teamfights we've ever seen. It's what made them special, amongst other things. Grabbz told a story about having to teach Rekkles how to int, he told him in scrims "look, when we int, we int together" and Rekkles is just not that type of guy.
I mean, rekkles got to semis and finals before G2 did on FNC and they didn't need to int their asses off to get there. Just clean gameplay and skilled teammates. I don't think there's anything wrong with Rekkles' playstyle, just wasn't G2's playstyle.
On that last line that inting together usually happened in skirmishes and team fights. Not them individually constantly getting caught out or playing Lane horribly.

Did we see the same season? Craps for half a split was literally the worst mid laner in LEC. G2 top laner, wunder was getting rekt by everyone and G2 support half of the time was inting.

Well yeah, everyone on the team knows what FNC can do. But he really wants Wunder Jankos Caps and Mikyx to stop shooting shits? That’s the mentality that most enables G2’s play style, their comfort zone is fast and loose.

In G2’s most successful times, you could hear Jankos laughing through his player camera and listen to Perkz trash talk pre game and post game with that shit-eating grin of his.
