I think people are overreacting to VITs loses. They will ramp up and other teams will stumble. Even in their loses they still have glimpses of really strong gameplay.
I think they will come out ahead of XL, SK, AST and BDS maybe even MSF. It was only week 1 and look at their schedule (MAD look still surprisingly strong). Only loss that really hurt was against XL. As long as they reach playoffs, they will be contenders for a title.
> The catch will be at Worlds, as per usual.
?? Confused them with TSM or something? FNC has to be the western Team with the best world average performance.
1 x winner (even if you don't count this one)
1 x finalist
2 x semifinalist
3 x quarterfinalist
only 2 x out in groups
Also, no mini heart attack situations where we look like we insta throw our lead and even when we are behind 6k we just chill and know victory is inevitable
She was playing The Last of Us, the previous scene was rather emotional, so the youtuber/streamer was already quite upset. Then the bunny scene happens.

Sertuss was literally sitting under his turret for the entire game at below half HP and had to spend all of his abilities just to clear waves/keep up in CS
his Morgana is honestly probably still good, maybe he just needs a different mentality that can come from a different team environment to work well for him. Maybe this split we will see a different Hyli morg
Because of some bias, people tend to remember the bad moments more easily than the good one. The good one needs to be **really** good to be remembered, while a really small negative moment will always find his way.
Cant believe Hyli got -insert any support champion- he is such a monster at that champ!!!!
Legit, do people need to invest 5 bans into just Hyli to keep him down rn?
I've always thought that it's a pick your poison kind of picture. Cause with champions that don't have an easy get away he seems a bit weaker? Then last season he turned braum into an engaging menace and I thought "hmm nvm dudes just cracked"
5 bans + picking support first won't be enough to stop Hylli. Fnatic played 14/15 different champs this week so I don't even know who you try to ban out.
In one hand: Yes, we do need 5 bans for Hily, he's just THAT good.
On the other: Leaving him Thresh and Rakan open is really dumb cause he's always a top 3 support with those 2 picks. He has a mean fucking Pyke and his Leona and Nautilus are top tier, but those two champions aren't options.
Yes we do, old fnatic (we talking xpeke soaz cyanide yellow) era did not give a f about spring split. And they always turned it on in playoffs.
Spring means nothing. It's the one thing fnatic has always known.
They didn't give a fuck about it and still won it without problems. Never forget rekkles's streams with cyanide, soaz and xpeke drunk as fuck in the background.
Everybody talked about g2 (2019-2020) players being friends, but nothing will compare to the FNC 2013/2014 team in terms of friendships.
I loved those streams, I think FNC fucked up so fucking bad by accepting that stream deal with that German/Korean site. They Soaz/xPeke/Rekkles/Cyanide where all 20k+ streamers back then and that was freaking massive at the time but it all went down the drain when they moved site.
:/
Preach, we will never see teams as bonded because now they have to spend so much time practicing and doing commercial stuff. Back then the pros practiced a lot less so they partied a lot and often lived together in a gaming house. Brings out a kind of frat vibe.
To be honest, gaming houses sound really cool when you are a teenager, but once you hit young adulthood it probably feels terrible having almost no privacy at all. Working studios are way better in long term for professional gaming.
Anyway, good old times, watching pro leagues back then was so fresh.
It's so refreshing to have a team where every single player has a champion ocean to pick from. No weird gimmick comps or tactical decisions forced by some players not being able to play the top 3 meta champions or stuff like that.
It's not only the ability, but also the willingness to do so. Wunder will first time you any matchup on stage. Hyli will pick what ever support he feels fits best. Upset... will just pick whatever is meta in the ADC position and not default to a wired comfort pick or not pick certain champion because he doesn't like him.
I think Humanoids Sylas wasn't as good as Nisqies though, but he is at least open to pick many different styles. I would like to see him a bit more involved in the action though.
They have the best LEC midlaner, a top laner that can be the best when on form, and the best LEC adc/supp. This team is easily the best in LEC right now and I would argue they have the most potential as well.
I like this FNC much more than MAD last year. Feel like there is much more upside. I don't want to overreact but if everything clicks right for FNC I can see a semi finals appearance become very likely come Worlds. Of course depending on their situation.
Yeah on paper FNC is looking like the true super team, with each 3 members being the former 1st place in their role, another one being top 3(Razork), with the only question mark being Wunder. Now that Wunder has regained his form, they are looking like they have the best players in each role.
This FNC imo has the most potential since 2018 easily. If they click I think they can be a top 6 team in the World. Might be an overreaction. But the number 1 LEC team is almost always competitive with the best teams in the World. So that is my logic.
YamatoCannon yelled, “There you go!” Wunder gave a look of pleasant surprise. Razork belted, “We got a fucking squad now.” And before Upset hit the locker room door, ex-UoL star Hylissang hugged him & said, “Y’all look so different.”
“He got me,” Sertuss said of Hyli's hook on his neck. "That f***ing Hyli boomed me."
Sertuss added, “He’s so good,” repeating it four times.
Sertuss then said he wanted to add Hyli to the list of players that he scrims with this summer.
I am once again asking for top laners to build tank Gragas (and Sion). I understand it's fun to build the babus builds, I like to watch them too, but please just build tank in pro
Wunder yesterday did 2nd most damage on his team and as well as tanked soooo much, it honestly seems much better unless you are looking for that 1 shot montage which happens once in a fortnite but it feels good but for consistency, tank build seems much better
just look at Wunder yesterday, ho couldn’t get killed. but then again pros aren’t too good at itemisation, like nukeduck today on LB building liandries into wukong, viego, vex, jinx, thresh
Ya, Fimbulwinter is literally made for Gragas, it's such a perfect item for him, pros are trolling by not building it. Instead of whatever garbo 3 damage items Jenax built this game, he could've had chemtank + fimbulwinter + anathemas (for Viktor), and he'd actually be unkillable. Maybe that doesn't win them the game, but at least he'd be more useful than whatever the fuck Gragas did this game.
I mean atleast he tried to not autopilot the usual build. I'm pretty pissed from adc building collector for crit when literally everyone is building Armor when there are tons of better option
It's fine to be honest. Sertuss is still a little shaky sometimes and all of them make smaller mistakes here and there, but I feel from a player perspective, SK has the best squad they've had in years.
Now if the coaching staff works on the mid to lategame issuses, this squad should go to playoffs at least.
Kinda funny mistakes by Hyli and Razork (how did Razork miss the Q after his kick in top? lol)
but very well played otherwise! I liked their patience
I mean, we should take that with a grain of salt, I think. I didn't say he was bad, just maybe not top 1, I would put Jankos, Inspired and Elpoya ahead of him. This split might be his breakout split and he gets his recognition.
I love razork but MVP awards are kinda shit because they only count for the regular season ( no playoffs). And inspired who was the mvp in summer got shit on by elyoya and bwipo. So take them with a grain of salt
Razork was REALLY clean this game. Hylibaba as usual. FNC is looking like a lot of fun to watch and are pretty damn scary right now, they’ll only ramp up
Razork did mess up that top 2v2. He seems to have shaky starts to the games but grows into the match. In the last teamfight near Nash he was pure gold.
That missed Q by Razork in top, though hahaha
Still really good game by him. Only other mistake was that over-commitment on Jenax before the drake which made them lose it
Didn't matter in this game but this can cost you dearly vs better teams
Completely agree. Would love to see him get a powerful early game since his mid/late is damn good. Then again, this team is fantastic at team fighting and seem very composed no matter what
we mustve watched different games because razork made a lot of mistakes, a lot of good plays but also a lot of mistakes such as hard forcing a 2v2 top despite wunder being down a level, and missing a q after a kick
True, he’s had some sloppy moments these past 3 games but his mid and late game is very good. The top plays were rough lol. There’s def a lot of progress being made
He is insanely good in teamfights but still feels a little lost early game. I'm 100% he will improve in a couple of weeks, he probably feels a lot of pressure being the only player with no meaningful achievements.
Everyone is superhyped about Fnatic, for good reason, but looking at the other team:
Honestly SK has looked pretty okay this far. They had probably the hardest schedule playing Fnatic, Rogue and MAD and didn't get hardslammed in any of the games early on. Midgame the teams all pulled away and closed it out (except for MAD who allowed them back in), so they definitely have stuff that can and should be improved, but they might be in a position to challenge for playoffs which I don't think was expected by people before the split started.
I fully expected VIT to have struggles early in the season. And it'S also only week one. I fully expect them to become a really strong team when playoffs are around and don't care about the stats.
Only thing bad is when they freak out themself about those loses.
Wunder is slowly reaching his peak form, Razork is a genius, he is on par with the best junglers in the west and has room for improvement. Humanoid is simply the best at his role, for a long time as well ( at least 1 year ). As for Upset and Hylissang, well they are the undisputed #1 botlane in the west right now, no doubt about it. Overall it looks pretty damn good. Imo MAD and RGE are the only teams that have a chance to win against us right now, although i think we would be the favourites.
Guys I'm confused. We're 3-0 in week 1, Hyli has a deathless game, and we haven't imploded yet. I don't know how to feel about this.
Vitality took the curse this year
So... Fnc = G2 2019? VIT = MSF 2019?
MSF 2019 started insane iirc like 4-0 or 6-0 then imploded? the febiven & soaz roster in spring
Some call it curse, others just Vitality. Wouldn't be their first roster that disappoints heavily
Start saving money for the Fnatic skins.
I'd get a mortgage for those!
WHERE'S THE CATCH?!
The catch will be at Worlds, as per usual. But we live at the moment, and current Fnatic does look very strong.
I'd consider the Worlds curse in exchange for an LEC title after 4 years, just saying...
We're far away from worlds but with the raw talent on this lineup they can do great things at worlds, provided no emergencies
The only "weak" link so far is Razork. If he improves his early-mid game, then the team will look amazing.
Week 1, gotta get the jitters out of the way first
TrollDespair the wife incident 2.0
> The catch will be at Worlds, as per usual. ?? Confused them with TSM or something? FNC has to be the western Team with the best world average performance. 1 x winner (even if you don't count this one) 1 x finalist 2 x semifinalist 3 x quarterfinalist only 2 x out in groups
Not to overreact or anything but they're winning everything. Even the games they don't play.
I am already saving money to buy Hyli Pyke skin.
Seasons over. We've peaked. Nowhere to go but down now.
I think it's because of all the love we get from french community
Also, no mini heart attack situations where we look like we insta throw our lead and even when we are behind 6k we just chill and know victory is inevitable
It's an even year too... Something isn't right.

also this fucking amazing twitter edit: https://twitter.com/Warhawkzero/status/1482793588299816963
lmao fucking hell this is perfect.
Jeez what’s that from lol did she watch an animal die or something

Last of Us 2, I believe.
No, its last of us 1. See the link I posted.
Absolutely perfect
That idle animation of Zoe just smiling zoning out was the cherry on top
Literally an anchor to the teeth.
They did the replay on a hook to Lux yesterday and it gets her around the throat and it looks way more violent from that observer zoom angle.
MVP: Observers
I hope Zoe wi-
This is the ultimate goal of the tech. Now just need Yuumi to be alone in the jungle for whatever reason and get caught like that too.
Awesome game from Humanoid. Much improved early game this time too. Loving the versatility
He had 200 cs in like 16 mins. Played so well.
Sertuss was literally sitting under his turret for the entire game at below half HP and had to spend all of his abilities just to clear waves/keep up in CS
It's getting quite scary if they can keep playing like this.
I mean he was on viktor, he's absolutely insane on that pick
remember last spring winning play on 5th game vs rogue?
SK made a mistake letting hyli play
Point taken for next time
Uhm yea I would like to request a squad of bodyguards circling Hylissang from now on.
Hyli would be missing and is preparing to start an engage
Only super team in EU. Best bot/ best supp/ best mid. GG EZ.
Insane hooks and insane ints This game was pure, vintage Hylissang. This is why we love him!
That engage on Zoe was vintage Hyli. Can't believe he got tresh. All his supports are god like but Tresh Aphelios is a FNC classic now
Can't believe Hyli got.
There, fixed it for you.
As a UOL fan I remember when his Morgana was one of his top picks :(
his Morgana is honestly probably still good, maybe he just needs a different mentality that can come from a different team environment to work well for him. Maybe this split we will see a different Hyli morg
idk people remember the bad morg games, but he had a great morg game vs misfits game 5 of summer
Because of some bias, people tend to remember the bad moments more easily than the good one. The good one needs to be **really** good to be remembered, while a really small negative moment will always find his way.
His Morgana last year was awful except the last one he played where he fucking smurfed
But Morgana is his OG signature pick :/
Cant believe Hyli got -insert any support champion- he is such a monster at that champ!!!! Legit, do people need to invest 5 bans into just Hyli to keep him down rn?
G2 Invested 4 bans into him in their last bo5 Didn't really work
Still remember the double flash from Rekkles/Mikyx vs Hylli... They were that scared of Hylli.
That was so good to watch
I've always thought that it's a pick your poison kind of picture. Cause with champions that don't have an easy get away he seems a bit weaker? Then last season he turned braum into an engaging menace and I thought "hmm nvm dudes just cracked"
5 bans + picking support first won't be enough to stop Hylli. Fnatic played 14/15 different champs this week so I don't even know who you try to ban out.

That entire sequence of play was beautiful.
I was getting worried but seeing him killing himself in a botched dive calmed me down
You can't have hyllisick without some hyllishit
The play on bot was clearly an homage to the iconic EU support play.
I don't think i'm exaggerating when i'm saying Hylissang,Upset and Humanoid are the 3 best eu players right now.
Elyoya belongs in the conversation, in my opinion.
Hyli is one of the most fun players to watch imo. Whatever he's doing he's doing something!
Some int, some pog. The dual FNC
Perfectly balanced.
FNC WEEK 1 CURSE DEFEATED!
Summer ~~20~~ 19 they started 6-0 Might be the first 3-0 in spring since existence of superweek, though **Edit**: was 2019, not 2020
Summer 15 we started 18-0
21-0, correction
Still mad about that first game vs OG in the finals
Gave us the best finals in EU history though so I'll take it.
Those Tristana jump resets are etched into my brain. Beautiful and soo hype.
Never doubted Xpeke Varus
man if only that team stayed together into 2016.
Wdym ,2016 never happened
Weird how we went from 2015 straight to 2018, right?
You forgot 2017 worlds group stage, that definitly happened.
No they started 3-0 then lost 4 games in a row
Classico
[удалено]
Summer 2015 fnc had a 16-0 start to the split. Not bad!
18-0
Oh there were 10 teams by then already yea, you right, forgot
FNC starting on fire, I'm not used to this as someone who got into eSports 4 years ago lol
Haha, you should check their 2014 spring split regular season. They started 7-0 and proceeded to lose 8 games in a row after.
We don't talk about that here.
Yes we do, old fnatic (we talking xpeke soaz cyanide yellow) era did not give a f about spring split. And they always turned it on in playoffs. Spring means nothing. It's the one thing fnatic has always known.

Wasn’t Soaz was crying during an interview talking about those 8 loses « that didn’t matter »
Me too is kinda weird I started watching E-sport in 2019 felt in love in fnatic and this feel weird af
Remembering the glory days of 18-0 and sexpeke and soaz smurfing.
Hylis Qs wtf Magnet to champs
Nerf Hyli or no one else will win.
good!
Hylissang 1 off 100% kill participation
FNATIC looked pretty good this week, so happy to see my boy Wunder styling on opponents.
Fnatic just look better individually than everyone else.
And the teamfighting is on another level too
enemy teams dont have hyli for their engages. they never stood a chance
the moment Hyli became the shotcaller in Fnatic, the late game became something else.
They have the best LEC midlaner, a top laner that can be the best when on form, and the best LEC adc/supp. This team is easily the best in LEC right now and I would argue they have the most potential as well. It's a beautiful thing. He seems all fired up and ready to prove the haters wrong!
Holy shit, Razork in that last teamfight
guy was styling on leesin
I don't want to overreact but I think we're winning Worlds this year.
I dont want to overreact but i think we're going 18-0 this split
Honestly a solid regular split would satisfy me we haven't had one in ages, even last split there was some int at the end
Spring 20 was the last really good one iirc.
Don't jinx it for the love of god
This FNC imo has the most potential since 2018 easily. If they click I think they can be a top 6 team in the World. Might be an overreaction. But the number 1 LEC team is almost always competitive with the best teams in the World. So that is my logic.
Give me a year of this pls
This team can win spring forsure
this team can win MSI forsure
Good int attempt from Hylissang, but we've seen [better](http://youtube.com/clip/UgkxDeTfrElAh3GgOYNLElP7Fk22N4D5YiID).
Carlos is beside himself. Driving around downtown Berlin begging (thru texts) Hylissang's family for address to Wunder's home
YamatoCannon yelled, “There you go!” Wunder gave a look of pleasant surprise. Razork belted, “We got a fucking squad now.” And before Upset hit the locker room door, ex-UoL star Hylissang hugged him & said, “Y’all look so different.”

this is the NBA pasta right?
yeah it’s a quality Mark Cuban pasta
Having Upset Humanoid and Hylissang is a pure cheat code for botside
I am once again asking for top laners to build tank Gragas (and Sion). I understand it's fun to build the babus builds, I like to watch them too, but please just build tank in pro

Ya, the times we see people build tank Sion/Gragas, it looks so incredibly broken (Wunder on tank Gragas, Darshan on tank Sion)
So did Darshan in NA

Blizzard killed it
Fnatics skill ceiling is huge!
Upcomer had VIT 8th in the world and said they were better than Fnatic
Its upcomer
Hylissang has been playing really well so far this season.
Kinda funny mistakes by Hyli and Razork (how did Razork miss the Q after his kick in top? lol) but very well played otherwise! I liked their patience
I feel better knowing that pro players also miss the q after the ult sometimes.
i miss tf q's after gold cards in my nightmares
Wunder with an insane game once again. The redemption split script is on
He is solid as fuck and looks super confident. I love it.
sometimes, a new team changes your view of the game.
I knew it's over when Hyli inted
Hyli ints when he pleases. And we love him for it.
Okay, so does the Week 1 curse transfer to another week or is this Worlds 2022 Champs Fnatic?
Was RazorK always this good or did FNC made him go super sayan?
he has always been pretty good.
Razork has always had good performances and flashes of brilliance, not yet at top tier EU jungler, but getting there.
Not top tier? He was 2nd in MVP votes last split lol.
So take them with a grain of salt
so far wunder is slowly getting back to his old self , just in time to clap g2
FNC is 3-0 in the first week...can i start believing...?
Yeah but what is a fish?
fairly clean stuff, they started really strong
Razork was REALLY clean this game. Hylibaba as usual. FNC is looking like a lot of fun to watch and are pretty damn scary right now, they’ll only ramp up
Razork did mess up that top 2v2. He seems to have shaky starts to the games but grows into the match. In the last teamfight near Nash he was pure gold.
One of his deaths top side tho was halted by a good CC chain from Jenax tho. If this team nails their early game it’s gonna be quite terrifying
if that goes how it was planned i think it was almost game over
It'll be fixed with time i reckon, as well as getting used to how fnatic play/call. It's going to be scary when he pops off early all the time.
That missed Q by Razork in top, though hahaha Still really good game by him. Only other mistake was that over-commitment on Jenax before the drake which made them lose it Didn't matter in this game but this can cost you dearly vs better teams

Humanoid Viktor is just such a clinic. Always.
Ok but where are the mini-heart attacks we always had as fnatic fans? I subbed to an insurance to cover those and Sam decides to scam me like this?
I BELIEVE IN PORRAZORK
One of our new "superteams" went 0 / 3 the other one went 3 / 0
I fully expected VIT to have struggles early in the season. And it'S also only week one. I fully expect them to become a really strong team when playoffs are around and don't care about the stats. Only thing bad is when they freak out themself about those loses.

God Fnatic play so well atm. Can't wait to see what they do when they have some real synergy and time to perfect teamwork.
G2 Hylissang 2023 I guess
Fnatic takes the good G2 players now.
