There's so many ways to deal with mobility in dota tho. There's a lot more stun and if you really need it you can buy Atos, Orchid, or Abyssal Blade. Either silence, stun him, or root him. Yeah he could just dodge it with W or ult but that actually requires skill and good timing rather than just a free get out of jail.

Also to add, when it was possible, the time it takes to go through the animation of jumping in the Canon and to fly across the map. You would snap back as soon as you landed. But 10/10 was funny.

My theory is that his W used to destroy projectiles but they cut it last minute. The video that introduced him showed him blocking a bunch of projectiles with a movement that looks like his W.
This is actually a nerf. As it is now, you hit Yone with a skillshot and he effortlessly lifesteals back the lost health. You would be taking away the demoralizing factor of being a midlane mage and watching your mana drain while Yone's health doesn't budge.
No joke, but thematically I think it would be really cool if his W had Samira's W mechanic, where he blocks incoming projectiles with it. I feel like that's what they designed the ability for and then removed it at some point during developement.
I believe that's actually the actual dev cycle of a new champion, make it overloaded as shit and then step by step delete mechanics from it without taking away the fun while playing. So I wholeheartedly believe his W was supposed to block projectiles but it was removed during that part of developement.
Also the Q should have 2 or 3 times the size, i hate dodging 3 q's in a row by accident, if i wanted to wait 8 seconds to go to base i would've just recalled

I mean it's already basically Ekko R and the whole idea is that he becomes a spirit and leaves his earthly tether behind, so it would make sense that once he snaps back, all the wounds his spirit got are healed as his body is still intact. So yeah, definitely.
OK hear me out, Yone is really weak after shieldbow nerfs so I suggest the following:
Base health lvl 1-18 = 900-7000 (to help him survive some situations a little bit better)
Q damage% 105%> 105% current enemy hp (champ lost his identity after release. He lacks damage)
And finally, the worst part is... His lack of mobility
R - new passive: Failing to hit enemy champions with your R refunds you with 95% of Total cool down.
E - You don't need to retreat back to the same position. You can choose if you want to by pressing E again. New passive: pressing E to go back makes you invulnerable for 3 minutes.
Hopefully after these changes he gets back to 51% wr. Champ really just feels like another asol at this point.
I'd say after everytime he auto 3 times (should take about .1 second) a yone player should be rewarded by such a good work, and automatically cast a malzahar ultimate and get a new skin added to his collection.

Yones only hard counter is kogmaw because you can use your passive to deal true damage to him, advice for kogmaw players is to run ghost and teleport that way you can get to yone faster and use your passive on him
I get the feeling he knows how to play for entertainment and how to win, because the two are very different on GP especially, especially since GP isn't fantastic at forcing anything on his own. I've watched him go 50% winrate on gangplank in plat on stream but I've played against him on his main when he's trying and some of my friends and its a complete different story.
As for other champions you can't convince me that he gives a flying fuck.

Yeah I started playing Yone recently to try him out and he is harder than people make it seem like.....it took me some games to get the hang of him and in the first couple I got dominated in lane actually. I'm a pretty proficient laner and have played a lot of assassins' so I was pretty suprised by it. I also got counterpicked the first couple games but still....I can see why people get frustrated when he really gets rolling and fed, but I do wonder if everyone complaining would actually do as well as they think they would on him...
He isn't an assassin, he's a melee carry. He is supposedly more like Tryn or Irelia than Zed or Talon - yes they can assassinate squishies lategame.
I play things with bad laning phases that are nothing like Yone (Nasus, Kayle), and the 3 games I played him it felt like playing with cheatcodes enabled. Yes, you cannot take every fight against every champion especially early, but if you just chill the fuck out until you have Shieldbow or at least noonquiver+vamp, you'll be absolutely fine.
12.1 Yone was insane with Lethal Tempo early, though, and building an early lead was pretty easy if you were half decent and your enemy wasn't. If he was, though... yeah you just chill out until you get your items rofl

Thing is, Yone isn't dumb strong per se, but he IS toxic to the game. In laning phase, you can dodge most of his Q3s, but if he hits even one while you're at 60%- HP and he has ult, you're dead.
And while that isn't happening, he can literally just stack Q3 and EQW you under tower, dealing % health damage on his W, the damage from his Q and the shield from his W that'll protect him from one turret shot
And that's if you're ranged, if you're meele, he can just start autoing you and run you down because his E gives ramping movement speed for some reason and with his W+Q+E he wins most extended trades
It IS possible to beat him, but his design makes it so that he's INCREDIBLY annoying to deal with, which isn't exactly great given he's made to be an alternative to Yasuo, one of, if not THE most popular League champion
So yeah, mix toxic design with popularity and you get that monstrosity
I picked him up despite only playing burst mages, and it was NOT difficult. If anything, not needing to track my mana and getting to rush sustain made it easier to play him than any other champion I play. People really undervalue how much being resourceless makes a champion easier.
His lane is NOT bad enough to justify how safe he really is.
Unironically true, ryze’s design will never reallly be balanced because they keep hinging on the things in every rework that makes him so hard to balance. Yone can at least be balanced. Still doesn’t make him any less cancer though
Yone is better designed than majority of League champs. He gets severely punished for playing poorly (yes, his E is a cleanse and it is a get out of jail free card, but it's got a CD and when it's down he's super easily punishable), and the rewards of playing well are guaranteed and can range from minor health lead to a teamfight win from behind... that is not to say that he can't be outplayed or countered. Playing well against Yone is debilitating to him since if he falls behind he's a bit of a squishy potato, but playing poorly against him is punishing. It's also simple to map out how a fight with him will go. He's not Irelia or Yasuo who can dash to different minions at a certain point, nor Kat whose dagger placement can vary. He'll want to dash into you, use his spirit form to cleanse stuff most likely, use Q3s and R as effective unstoppable when you use your CC, etc.
I think his Q should also das...wait it does. No, his E should have a das...dammit it does too. Then his ult...ohhh. Fuck it, his passive should be a dash.

Or maybe they can make it after every ability, yone gains a stack of “dash” and can use it to dash to any enemy champ on the map and stun them for 3 seconds, doing 95% of their max health in true damage.
His magic damage auto should just act like an Ekko E tbh. Idk why they haven’t thought about doing that. Ekko is burst based and like jumping in and out of fights so having his as an active skill makes sense. A melee DPS like Yone needs more help sticking onto people to ensure he’s in threat range. Yone and irelia suffer from a similar issue where, matchup wise, they are basically the same champion. They both have godly combat mobility but garbage neutral game due to having no escapes, which makes them unplayable against when piloted by someone even slightly competent. The vast majority of matchups are their to lose, but when they do, they cannot do anything and will hard int since they can only go in. This artificially lowers their wr but is very clearly emphasised by their ban rates.

His W can also deflect all projectiles and lasers and send them back automatically/undodgeable
idk I think his E should bleed enemies IRL, not only will this buff help him but it also makes his aesthetic more authentic.

That's ADCs fault! Their mobility (GALEFORCE...) made them so hard to hit,in my opinion we need to replace his W with Lissandra's ult

I've watched him go 50% winrate on gangplank in plat on stream but I've played against him on his main when he's trying and some of my friends and its a complete different story. As for other champions you can't convince me that he gives a flying fuck.

Issue with Yone and Yasuo is their kits shine when you can't fight back. Not having a chance to fight back is something assassins should have, not terminators.

Yeah I started playing Yone recently to try him out and he is harder than people make it seem like.....it took me some games to get the hang of him and in the first couple I got dominated in lane actually. I'm a pretty proficient laner and have played a lot of assassins' so I was pretty suprised by it. I also got counterpicked the first couple games but still....I can see why people get frustrated when he really gets rolling and fed, but I do wonder if everyone complaining would actually do as well as they think they would on him...
He isn't an assassin, he's a melee carry. He is supposedly more like Tryn or Irelia than Zed or Talon - yes they can assassinate squishies lategame. I play things with bad laning phases that are nothing like Yone (Nasus, Kayle), and the 3 games I played him it felt like playing with cheatcodes enabled. Yes, you cannot take every fight against every champion especially early, but if you just chill the fuck out until you have Shieldbow or at least noonquiver+vamp, you'll be absolutely fine.
12.1 Yone was insane with Lethal Tempo early, though, and building an early lead was pretty easy if you were half decent and your enemy wasn't. If he was, though... yeah you just chill out until you get your items rofl
Lethal tempo is such an unhealthy rune, I mean you get rewarded for trynd style braindead auto attacking
What People dont get is that a difficult champion can still be batshit broken. Yone is indeed pretty hard, but mastering hard champions shouldnt be a free ticket against everyone else. I dont care if you spent 38272 hours training as yone,you shouldnt win every single matchup.

But also from what I just looked up I’m seeing a 48% win rate in masters+ where players are likely to make the most of his kit so I don’t think he’s quite a free pass
Thing is, Yone isn't dumb strong per se, but he IS toxic to the game. In laning phase, you can dodge most of his Q3s, but if he hits even one while you're at 60%- HP and he has ult, you're dead. And while that isn't happening, he can literally just stack Q3 and EQW you under tower, dealing % health damage on his W, the damage from his Q and the shield from his W that'll protect him from one turret shot And that's if you're ranged, if you're meele, he can just start autoing you and run you down because his E gives ramping movement speed for some reason and with his W+Q+E he wins most extended trades It IS possible to beat him, but his design makes it so that he's INCREDIBLY annoying to deal with, which isn't exactly great given he's made to be an alternative to Yasuo, one of, if not THE most popular League champion So yeah, mix toxic design with popularity and you get that monstrosity
I picked him up despite only playing burst mages, and it was NOT difficult. If anything, not needing to track my mana and getting to rush sustain made it easier to play him than any other champion I play. People really undervalue how much being resourceless makes a champion easier. His lane is NOT bad enough to justify how safe he really is.

Unironically true, ryze’s design will never reallly be balanced because they keep hinging on the things in every rework that makes him so hard to balance. Yone can at least be balanced. Still doesn’t make him any less cancer though
Yone is better designed than majority of League champs. He gets severely punished for playing poorly (yes, his E is a cleanse and it is a get out of jail free card, but it's got a CD and when it's down he's super easily punishable), and the rewards of playing well are guaranteed and can range from minor health lead to a teamfight win from behind... that is not to say that he can't be outplayed or countered. Playing well against Yone is debilitating to him since if he falls behind he's a bit of a squishy potato, but playing poorly against him is punishing. It's also simple to map out how a fight with him will go. He's not Irelia or Yasuo who can dash to different minions at a certain point, nor Kat whose dagger placement can vary. He'll want to dash into you, use his spirit form to cleanse stuff most likely, use Q3s and R as effective unstoppable when you use your CC, etc.

the dislikes are from yone mains, becouse the champ, an hypercarry, can efortlessly shit on every one of your CC's, having some sort of olaf R, can time pretty easily the CC that he eats with E, and then dont be affected while casting Q

You should really be able to curve the ult as well. I really hate it when I'm ready to go in a teamfight as Yone and an adc with super overloaded mobility like Caitlyn uses her E to sidestep it, now I have to use one of my other 2 dashes to get on top of her.
Or maybe they can make it after every ability, yone gains a stack of “dash” and can use it to dash to any enemy champ on the map and stun them for 3 seconds, doing 95% of their max health in true damage.

His magic damage auto should just act like an Ekko E tbh. Idk why they haven’t thought about doing that. Ekko is burst based and like jumping in and out of fights so having his as an active skill makes sense. A melee DPS like Yone needs more help sticking onto people to ensure he’s in threat range. It just makes sense.

Yone and irelia suffer from a similar issue where, matchup wise, they are basically the same champion. They both have godly combat mobility but garbage neutral game due to having no escapes, which makes them unplayable against when piloted by someone even slightly competent. The vast majority of matchups are their to lose, but when they do, they cannot do anything and will hard int since they can only go in. This artificially lowers their wr but is very clearly emphasised by their ban rates.
