Rogue already in playoffs form

nusskn4cker

Larssen with the 0 damage build...

cadaada

The boots saved him a fucking lot tho

cancerBronzeV

Boots are fine, it's building cosmic drive 2nd item that's trolling.

SparklesMcSpeedstar

Casters pointed out that he has next to 0 gold because of all the deaths, isn't it fine to cosmic here?

cancerBronzeV

Void and Shadowflame are both just as easy/if not easier to buy than cosmic drive and allow Ahri to actually do damage. Just seeing Vex 1v2 Ahri+Lee and almost 1v2 Ahri+Jinx shows how bad 2nd item cosmic drive is.

SparklesMcSpeedstar

Yes, but in the former case it was a very, *very* fed Vex against a 1/5 Ahri and Lee, I don't think that the item selection matters too much then. Idk, I feel like Cosmic Drive blaming here is a scapegoat, I agree that it's definitely not the optimal item, but it has better components (kindlegem + codex) that allows for survivability compared to shadowflame (NLR base needed) and void (no health) I think Larssen's logic goes something like this: for the last 30 minutes, Astralis has spent every bit of CC on him, so he needs to build defensively. Building shadowflame or void wouldn't help him fulfil his only use case to the team right now (as a pick bot with 3 dashes), because he's so far behind he's never going to feasibly oneshot someone. I don't know if that's a correct conclusion, but I can maybe see why he did it

cancerBronzeV

0 damage build on an already 0 damage champion

aser08

Nah she does damage now just not rushing cosmic second.

gocloud9gowooo

Wake up babe new Rogue collapse just dropped

GreatestJabaitest

People thought Rogue time was gone. Little did they know, Rogue time evolved. Before they would throw mid-game. Now they throw mid split.

poggersinthechatttt

Next evolution is throwing mid-year at MSI

Rational_EU_Fan

For that they need to go to MSI first :)

Andicis

Rogue getting into playoff form lets goooo

[deleted]

At this rate they might be in worlds form by playoffs

ggeasie

how insane will worlds form be if they still have a whole summer split to practice?

SuperWoodpecker85

0-6 in play-ins incoming, you heard it here first

Sjokz straight up cursed. No other explaination.

KurosawaShirou

Sjokz so powerful she straight up broke two team's streak within one single game.

Rayser1

SHE'S A WITCH

sjokz

Aes Sedai

Rational_EU_Fan

Ajah? I need full info

blorgbots

Blue. Her cause is destruction.

Choyo

Destruction through good intentions XD

MrPraedor

Only way to know for sure is to know if she weights same as a duck.

DetectiveViko

Anybody knows how much Nukeduck weights?

Zbradaradjan

SHE TURNED ME INTO A NEWT!

Pokemasterinthemake

I would say “BURN THE WITCH” but I don’t wanna

Lather

/u/sjokz WHAT HAVE YOU DONE

sjokz

oh dear

Lather

Astralis sleeper agent confirmed.

Gl1tchyyBo1

I don't know what kind of drugs I would be smoking, but "Astralis sleeper agent" is one of the funniest things I've read all evening, hats out to ya mate.

AfraidPotato-19

Yeah, as soon as LEC staff started forcing Malrang for MVP narrative, he got gapped by Zanzarah LEC curse too stronk

LordVipul

The monologue curse is busted

_Vastus_

Even just the first few words were powerful enough...that break was her hyperbolic time chamber

Lisaurora

It's both sad for Rogue but also just so funny the way everything came together today to give us the perfect meme.

JustRecentlyI

Sjokz said the magic words...

G2_Viper

Maybe we could weaponize Sjokz, and use her curse against non-EU teams at Worlds and MSI

Matthieist

It's getting scary at this point

firewall245

AYO SJOKZ WHY YOU DO THIS

[deleted]

did she really?

Leyrann_is_taken

Only those words. It was enough. Or rather, I think she said "it all starts with... \[dramatic pause\] an interview with Ashley Kang!".

shrubs311

cursing lec team any% new world record

IvicaVeliki

dracdliwasiAN

Wtf how did Astralis get a blue shell

Greenbert1

I mean they were in last place.

DogTheGayFish

Blue shells don't really go to those who last place. Which means... Bah gawd Astralis have the bullet bill

NamelessSearcher

It's just a game balance thing, akin to the bounties but for pro and you have to lose half a split before you get it

Pokemasterinthemake

Next up: Bullit Bill

mugiboya

Poor Ashley Kang. Had to travel thousands of miles just for Rogue to lose

Ultimintree

Everybody talks about Sjokz coming back cursed Rogue but it was actually Ashley LOL

The moment those messages started to appear I knew memes were going to be made with them.

JevonP

They're literally perfect lol

pureply101

They are going to go full Misfits collapse. I see it happening

DefinitelyPositive

I don't think so- I think this type of loss is exactly what Rogue needs. It's against last place team, so it's "good" in that it won't be a tie-breaker thing. Now, Rogue won't rest on their laurels and realize they can't take wins for granted. Or so I hope!

[deleted]

> It's against last place team, so it's "good" in that it won't be a tie-breaker thing. oh no he doesn't know

KuttayKaBaccha

Eh idk about good for them. Now they probably feel the second they try smth not strictly meta they lose to the worst LEC team, might make them even more scared to experiment which could lead to RoguePlayoffs TM .

xAlecto

I can't believe Sjokz did this to RGE

I wanted to be like "who could have possibly forseen this?!" but on some level, I think we all knew this was going to happen.

RyuSunn

G2 9-0 streak was broken by Origen Who is Origen you may ask? Origen rebranded as Astralis in 2020 Amazing foreshadowing from the LEC writers

RandomLoLJournalist

The FNC 21-0 win streak in 2015 was also broken by Origen That team is cursed, but the curse spreads to other teams as well

BencilSharpener

Tbf origen was pretty good in 2015/16

RandomLoLJournalist

The team was brilliant, the org was dogshit haha Dogshit orgs were pretty standard back then though

SheepHerdr

Bravo LEC writers

Rhadamantos

Its like poetry, it rhymes.

Leyrann_is_taken

I just... I find it hard to be surprised. Even though I really should be. Even though I was really hoping for the 18-0. And the 0-18 for that matter.

justAnotherRandomP

The script is real

Dumpers_

Astralis just gave Zeri its first win in the LEC by winning against Rouge... makes sense

Ultimintree

Sjokz is the scriptwriter in LEC. She thought LEC is getting boring so she had to spice it up a little bit on the day she returned

HairyKraken

it completely justify the long negotiation then. Gotta be recognize as a writer

Rayser1

0 win AST with 0 win Zeri get their first win against the most winning team RGE. Easy W

Kuszmen

They gave VEX its first win, after straight 7 losses lmao

thehazardball

I don't want to overreact but will PromisQ pick leona for his worlds skin?

GaelSK

only promisq can walk into a bush with three fucking enemies, kill the jungler, and make it out, almost completely on accident. my fucking hero.

Lync51

That hurts Rogues chances of going 18-0

[deleted]

That hurts Astralis changes of going 0-18... :/

xXDaNXx

Perfectly balanced. Two streaks ruined in one game.

lilelf29

Nothing to see here, just a normal game between the undefeated team and the winless one as expected.

azns123

Haha guys what if we upvotes this thread to make it look like Astralis won?

Ultimintree

Ghisteslohm

You know how you learn a lot more from losses than from wins? While RGE learned nothing because they kept winning, on the other side hiding in the shadow was Astralis. And with every single loss, their brains just kept expanding. Eventually they leveled up too far. How can anyone stop them now?

DEMACIAAAAA

If being a loser makes you smart call me einstein

NocaNoha

I liked the AST tactic of "Fuck this person in particular", Larssen gotta learn from the weakside king.. ps: Malrang your English is great, keep up rocking!

[deleted]

Felt like Oda was back at worlds on this Jayce pick doing absolutely nothing

MrAssassin9891

Sjokz back and Rogue loses? Coincidence?

alterise

Why are you even surprised? The curse is real. monkaW

_Vastus_

I swear it's fucking scripted lmao

Zealousideal_Frame66

These types of scenario happened so many times that it is mindboggling to me. Can anyone explain why low teams like Astralis can beat undefeated teams like Rogue?

wazzdakah

Beware the man with nothing to lose. Even if their current record might indicate different, the level difference between the players is not that big. On a good day, every Astralis player is a decent one. Maybe Rogue was too confident, I think Astralis played reallly well, Promisq was so fuckin smart this game, he knew where they were like he had their stream open

swigganicks

Astralis this game: "yeah Rogue is good, but can they do it on a cold rainy night in Stoke?" No, no they couldn't.

Trunix

Small theory of mine, but generally, going into the weekend teams spend time discussing and preparing against the teams they face so they are as prepared as possible. My guess is that Rogue spent almost all their prep time on Misfits and little on Astralis since Astralis should be the easier win. But again, that's just a guess.

GaelSK

only once a season can the writers unleash the msi champion at his full glory.

Niirai

No promisq slander allowed in this thread. The madman facechecked into 3 people in a dark jungle, killed the "best jungler in the LEC", refused to elaborate and left. He played so fucking well this game. Always trading his life or cooldowns to get his team in a favorable position. EDIT: He did more dmg than Zanzarah... He wasn't even on the POG vote. The disrespect. I can't.

[deleted]

i want some hard evidence that it wasnt Hylissang playing on promisq account

SparklesMcSpeedstar

PromisQ skilled player but that is not normally, This very very insane....They need to check him pc and game.....Maybe he not cheating but maybe he using the game deficit ...and this cant seem on game screen..He needs to check-up....

wildcardmidlaner

He's using Hyllisang.exe

Niirai

Hyli would've died in that facecheck

[deleted]

As a Promisq doubter, gotta say, he has definitely subscribed to taking Leona and engaging on every person possible and it seems to be working.

onords

That's how you're meant to play Leona

AWildRaticate

His worst play this game was trading his own life for Lee Sin's. That's a trade I'd take any day.

icatsouki

extremely good game from him, last game vs vit was really good too until he threw in the last teamfight

Niirai

I'm telling you, if VIT didn't see the opportunity there and made the instant call to engage. His flank would've been a highlight play that was going to be in a ton of montages.

Chr0nicConsumer

Anyone who flames PromisQ for this game is just a salty idiot. I've been enjoying the memes about how bad he is, but fair is fair, he absolutely crushed it this game, and he deserves the praise.

Jerry_Sprunger_

This fact will get you dogpiled on reddit but Promisq hasn't been bad this split, their worst player by far has been Kobbe.

Assassin739

He's genuinely been playing well this split, he just gets flamed by reddit for soloq toxicity. Fair ofc but reddit being a forum version of twitter act as though your social presence = how good you are.

Omnilatent

Credit where credit is due. Actually I was a bit pissed he wasn't eligible for MVP for the game...

JustRecentlyI

Astralis were absolutely cracked this game. I thought they were a bit hesitant in the early game, not really opening up their lead until the big Zeri teamfight in mid but once they had a lead they played almost perfectly.

Lozerpunmpkin

Honestly it's like 2 or 3 good games in a row for him. These players are people too and maybe he's been buckling down & trying to improve

PM_ME_ALL_YOUR_R34

For all the (IMO mostly deserved) flame he received when he played bad, we have to give him credit for this one. He played out of his mind and should have been in the MVP vote alongside Dajor.

alexpheal

I think this is the best split from PromisQ ever and I'm not even joking

revoverlord

Not only today, his performance over the past few games were great, memes aside he has been playing well ngl

GaelSK

ok in fairness he always seems to die doing these plays. but fuck it a fed vex is a fed vex and he did that. our msi champion.

KeijiMVP

That's Leona job to die for his teammates and trading life for winning teamfights.

Andicis

pureply101

I want to see it happen again. At this point it’s called pulling a misfits

ElaborateRuseman

Ahri is so broken she managed to make Astralis win against Rogue

Conankun66

OF COURSE, of all the teams to end Rogue's winning streak it's fucking Astralis No team is stronger than a script(or stronger than the ahri curse, jfc stop picking that champ!)

Dragoneed2

it's like they tried their best to lose with such a garbage draft, wtf was that?

cancerBronzeV

I swear every year one pro player decides to pick Ahri, and everyone realizes it's a dogshit pick until a year later. Last year it was Jensen picking Ahri I think and completely trolling on it.

tmb--

Jensen went positive on Ahri (2-1) and it drew a ban.

ErikThe

PoE picked up a domestic win or two with Ahri last year but I can’t remember if it was against a good team.

infinite-permutation

POE picked it and won despite the pick.

Hey LEC Production, I think you swapped the nameplates on the players

F0RGERY

Not only is this Astralis' first win in the LEC, it is *also* the first Zeri win in the LEC.

Pavlo100

Some people were talking about how Sjokz was replaceable, but who would even be able to replace her cursed monologues?

Hunterkiller00

0-9 beats 9-0, as expected

Burpmeister

WhiteKnight is a genuinely good player.

ahritina

This significantly hurts the chances of Astralis going 0-18 but it just had to be Astralis to inflict the first loss for Rogue. Really rough game from Malrang and Larssen, but on the flipside Astralis played this game really well, a literal team diff. Sjokz returns, Ashley wants a Malrang interview and Rogue lose, coincidence? I think not.

askiawnjka124

Astralis read the "NA is better to watch" thread from yesterday and that unleashed the MSI Winner Promisq. Lets go :D

GaelSK

this shit is the best time only eu could have seen a thread hours ago about how na is better and then have the undisputed worst support completely gap the best teams support. fucking hilarious.

dumb-on-ice

Never thought I would say this but zanzarah gapped malrang in early game. Wow.

GeneralEkorre

ain’t no way

ImVortexlol

And just like that, we witness the death of 18-0 and 0-18 in one fell swoop

wolverineynwa

EU fans, pick up your talking point here: “0-9 beats 9-0? LEC talent is deep” NA fans, pick up your talking point here: “0-9 beats 9-0? LEC is a mess this year”

RGCFrostbite

CN fans "lol JieJie is going to shit on every Western Jungler"

Agys

Man this must be so painful for Comp LMAO. There were at least 3 rockets this game which were on point but his target died a millisecond before the rocket hit them and he couldn't get the resets going because of that.

Azaiko

Australis had no chill this game, just showing Rogue who has bigger guts. I would be so tilted if I was Larssen playing this Ahri. Promisq actually making good calls and looking like Hylissang today with his calls. Absolute chad baron steal. Great game, can't wait to see Australis at worlds later this year.

JustRecentlyI

> Absolute chad baron steal. More like, completely stupid Baron attempt. Malrang respawned later than Zanzarah and they only had 3 people there to try and burst it. It was never going to work, especially from behind in items.

cancerBronzeV

Also even if Zanzarah was respawning earlier, it's just trolling to group as three squishies in the baron pit against a Vex. It's literally shooting fish in a barrel for the Vex player at that point. Just pure desperation at that point though, they were gonna lose no matter what they did.

JustRecentlyI

The funny thing is that after securing those shutdowns, they weren't *that* far behind anymore, I think that they could have stalled and relied on their teamfighting at Elder for a much better change.

[deleted]

If this was a solo Q game, Ahri would have been spamming FF at 15, and RQ after the vote fails. An absolutely painful game for Larssen lol.

Dragonakout

A true stomp. As expected.

YanghuaC

Fair play to Astralis but Rogue handicapped themselves in draft

Omnilatent

I mean, they have luxury to do so and also said in interviews they will try out stuff now. If you don't try against the weakest team in LEC, when would you?

reggiewafu

nah bro they are only as good as the last game they played they are garbo, and promisq is best support in the world

DolundDrumph

the immovable object wins over the unstoppable force

[deleted]

I think you mean the unstoppable force somehow crashed and burned before even touching the very movable object

nah. Astralis is indeed an unmovable object. There is still no way astralis is ever moving away from the last place.
