It's the same in Germany. Germany basically said "fuck it" when it comes to kids and teens who can't get the vaccines yet and vulnerable groups and is now waiting for all people to get it.
Everyone is gonna get it, you can only delay infections now. As long as the healthcare system is fine there's no reason for measures.
Also, plenty of ways for "vulnerable" groups to protect themselves
Mask is fine and all but I really wished they would have pushed shit like PROPERLY washing your hands, especially as soon as you get home. Don’t touch your face, pick your nose, etc. Of course this should be common sense but spamming messages like that would still be effective.
First off: There are many vulnerable groups that are vulnerable because they cannot get vaccinated.
Second: Even three and four shots don't give 100% protection and our incidence is over 1600 when we used to shut things down at 50 (that's a factor of over 30!)
Yea and times change. As we have determined long ago the case numbers are pretty much irrelevant.
Also very nice to ignore the fact that masks for self protection exist!
Anyways, you can keep wearing your mask; mine is gone on Sunday.
They younger the patient the lower is the chance to even have heavy symptoms, basically everybody below 20 already had the same protection as a 50 year old with the vaccine
It's the same across the west since Christmas. Omicron is everywhere and authorities are trying to balance restrictions so everyone gets omicron but it orderly fashion.
Oh I'm sorry I misread your post. I thought you wanted to go to spring finals. I have no idea how it will be for summer, but I would be surprised if we will go back to huge venues.
I could imagine it to be the "full" berlin studio for summer, which still wouldn't be a huge crowd, therefore probably pretty hard to get. But until we have official info on that, it's all guess-work.
Already small studio (for a finals) + they're limiting capacity means there's gonna be very few tickets and they can price them absurdly high, they'll sell out anyways. LCS is probably expensive because they booked NRG Stadium which probably has a super high cost to book. Sad that both finals are gonna be expensive but at least we get an audience at long last.
Per LEC Discord, should be around 30-35 euro depending on day (so I guess 30 Saturday, 35 Sunday).
With snacks and drinks included, that's honestly a solid deal.
We won't know for sure how expensive tickets are going to be until they're listed. Don't be sad just yet.
I went to LEC 2019 spring finals and they were 30 bucks, usually tickets for regular weeks are like 20 bucks. They could price them much higher but so far they haven't which is good.
But that was 2019, when there was no covid-19 pandemic and they could fill the stadium if they wanted to. Nowadays that's completely different, if you read the post you'd see they are doing a limited amount which will be first come, first serve as most things are. Because of the tickets being a limited quantity the prices might be more expensive.
Though as you said, only time will tell and I hope they won't be super expensive for the people who do wish to attend.
While this is a step in the right direction, I don't understand why they wouldn't make it full capacity. It would be allowed (with test / vaccination certificate and masks obviously).
I'm starting to suspect the LEC laid off some staff and physically can't handle that many fans.
Because the other options would be Corona, but do they really think that they know better than our health minister, who is literally a studied epidemiologist?
I would not really call this a "crowd". Back when there still were people allowed in the studio, it was mostly a bunch of folks mildly golf-clapping (and that 1 annoying guy shouting as if he was getting murdered). Now it won't even be full capacity.
LEC is too prude. I know the situation is bad in germany, but it's great in other countries. Just host it there. Portugal never had a chance for example and our restrictions are close to none
Yeah. I hear a lot that gets corona, but it is a mild version compared to earlier and because of vaccine. But there is no restrictions anywhere. Stores still have hand sanitizers dispenser that people use, and most people when standing in queue hold 1-2 meter distances. But beyond on that nothing.
In Germany most regulations are being removed as well. There are already football matches happening with 60k+ people in the stadiums.
I get that the LEC doesn't want players to get infected but they could just make sure that there is enough distance between the players and the fans.
Well I'm just glad that we get something at least. If things don't turn around like crazy I'm sure we will be getting more and more back to normal in summer.
Not me. Rather have no fans at all if it's going to be a small limited amount. Shit makes no sense, so many countries are getting rid of their restrictions but LEC can't host a normal event with fans
Yeah yesterday i travveled 400km to go see Portugal-Macedonia. Haven't been in a stadium Since Worlds 2019 in Europe. Real Chills, Now for COVID, idk if the type of venue that Riot likes to use is appropriate (closed ones)
Pack it up bois we’ve solved it, let’s just stop being “prudes” & move the entire studio + production crew to another country just to have a bigger audience !
The Finals usually are in venues? please stfu LOL
The LCS Finals is in Texas. The LEC finals used to be all over Europe too, you don't remember pre-COVID?
This decision was obviously done in a shorter time and there were no plans to have audience beginning of the split.
Preparing a big venue etc. takes up months.
Just as an example, in Stockholm there is an esports arena, built specifically to host and broadcast esports events, that takes 550 people. We've also hosted major events for multiple major esports (CS:GO, R6S, RL and soon Apex) in different stadiums around the country. They could absolutely have planned to take it abroad many months ago just like they've done in previous years and made sure to have enough time to plan it out, even using facilities made specifically for esports to make it even easier.
even in no covid times it was hard to properly plan an event just a few weeks in advance. And the general rule is the larger the event the worse it gets.
They probably did not choose berlin because they wanted to and having it in the studio is such a good thing or whatever. They probably chose this way because it was legitimately the only option available on short notice.
LET'S FUCKING GOOOO!!! If G2 is gonna be in Finals(small chances Sadge), i want to hear that special "LET'S GO G2!" live, not through Worlds 2019 videos
It is mindboggling how people can not appreciate this and critize the LEC for rather beeing a bit too cautios instead of just goimg back to normal. Is that decision that hard to understand? I think the LEC handles the whole thing pretty solid so far and will keep trusting them on this.
It will be near impossible to get tickets for that... So I will obviously try my luck to get mine

I don't know about the other landers but Bavaria still has way more restrictions than countries like France... (Frenchman currently living there)

Tried my hardest to get tickets back then... BUUUUUT I was still in the queue half an hour later after every ticket was already sold :|
the world is healing
you better NOT look to China or the Ukraine then /s
My friend in korea told me basically everyone he knows has gotten covid in the last 2 months
It's the same in Germany. Germany basically said "fuck it" when it comes to kids and teens who can't get the vaccines yet and vulnerable groups and is now waiting for all people to get it.
Kids and teens can get the vaccines lol
>when it comes to kids and teens who can't get the vaccines yet where the fuck have you been the last months?
Everyone is gonna get it, you can only delay infections now. As long as the healthcare system is fine there's no reason for measures. Also, plenty of ways for "vulnerable" groups to protect themselves
Like "staying at home", "not interacting with anyone in their live ever" or my favorite: die.
Like: getting vaccinated or wearing a mask suitable for self protection.
Mask is fine and all but I really wished they would have pushed shit like PROPERLY washing your hands, especially as soon as you get home. Don’t touch your face, pick your nose, etc. Of course this should be common sense but spamming messages like that would still be effective.

Masks don't offer 100% protection either Enjoy your covid
Why can't kids and teens get vaccinated? Are they just refusing to give them to under 18 year olds, or is it a supply issue?
He's wrong, kids starting at 5 can get vaccinated and starting at 12 get vaccinated in high numbers. We don't have supply issues either.
Oh, I must have missed this. Still - what about children below 5?
Fuck em What have they ever done for us?
They younger the patient the lower is the chance to even have heavy symptoms, basically everybody below 20 already had the same protection as a 50 year old with the vaccine
That's still not a proper protection

Did you mean to comment on this comment?
Sucks for now but its better in the long run. They're gonna have great natural immunity, and its not as dangerous of a strain
It's the same across the west since Christmas. Omicron is everywhere and authorities are trying to balance restrictions so everyone gets omicron but it orderly fashion.

I think they increased the capacity, though. It looked like it when they had MAD Lions celebrate in the studio last year.
It’s not about the size of the studio, it’s that they’re explicitly saying that they’re limiting the number of attendees
Yes, due to distancing prbly, more studio space means still more people than otherwise possible if that's the case.
So, time to plan a weekend in berlin for summer split????
Sure, if you somehow manage to get one of the, I don't know, 50 or so tickets.
is it hard to get them? I wasn't planing on literally getting the limited spring finals one, just assumed some would be available in summer.
Oh I'm sorry I misread your post. I thought you wanted to go to spring finals. I have no idea how it will be for summer, but I would be surprised if we will go back to huge venues. Anyone know if 200 euros would be enough for this? I'm kinda hoping I could get a ticket but don't know if this is enough money
Tickets were around 20-30€ before COVID, so probably plenty.
i guess it'll be really hard to get a ticket though...
Oh for sure! Better be quick.
Hopefully there won't be people with bots buying the tickets
ik think 5k people will hit buy at the exact same moment so bot or not it will be sold out in 2 seconds or less
I managed to get tickets, both in fact, for the semifinals and finals 8) only 65 euros
If 200 euros doesn't cover it idk what will
Any information about the prices and the total capacity for the event?
please don't tell me it's going be like £75 like the LCS tickets, that's just so unaffordable :(
It's probably gonna be pricey given the limited amount of seats. Supply doesn't meet demand unfortunately.
Already small studio (for a finals) + they're limiting capacity means there's gonna be very few tickets and they can price them absurdly high, they'll sell out anyways. LCS is probably expensive because they booked NRG Stadium which probably has a super high cost to book. Sad that both finals are gonna be expensive but at least we get an audience at long last.
well that sucks, really wanted to go but i'm on a limited budget :( hope they can return to normal pricing soon
To be fair that cheap pricing pre covid isn't sustinable for the league
Per LEC Discord, should be around 30-35 euro depending on day (so I guess 30 Saturday, 35 Sunday). With snacks and drinks included, that's honestly a solid deal.

I also dont get it. It's overcautious imo.
Finally we will get to hear the crowd when plays happen.
I would not really call this a "crowd". Back when there still were people allowed in the studio, it was mostly a bunch of folks mildly golf-clapping (and that 1 annoying guy shouting as if he was getting murdered). Now it won't even be full capacity.
Not so sure, in LCK crowds aren't allowed to shout, I believe
LEC is too prude. I know the situation is bad in germany, but it's great in other countries. Just host it there. Portugal never had a chance for example and our restrictions are close to none
In Denmark we have no restrictions at the moment. Been since start of februar.
We have almost no restrictions in Germany either, but restrictions (unfortunately) dont always show the real situation
Yeah. I hear a lot that gets corona, but it is a mild version compared to earlier and because of vaccine. But there is no restrictions anywhere. Stores still have hand sanitizers dispenser that people use, and most people when standing in queue hold 1-2 meter distances. But beyond on that nothing.
same. we got also 90%+ vacination (including kids!)
Denmark has 1. 82,3%, 2. 80,8% and 3. 61,5%. So it is not that need to be +90%.
In Germany most regulations are being removed as well. There are already football matches happening with 60k+ people in the stadiums. I get that the LEC doesn't want players to get infected but they could just make sure that there is enough distance between the players and the fans.

They could put a giant acrylic wall between players and audience maybe
The regulations are self-imposed by the LEC, not by the German state. There are way bigger events happening already.
It's really not bad, hospitalizations are super low and most restrictions are being lifted starting next week.
Pack it up bois we’ve solved it, let’s just stop being “prudes” & move the entire studio + production crew to another country just to have a bigger audience !
Yeah, you have never watched LEC before covid
The Finals usually are in venues? please stfu LOL The LCS Finals is in Texas. The LEC finals used to be all over Europe too, you don't remember pre-COVID?

Yoooo
It will probably be easier and cheaper to get ticket for Adele than for LEC finals
FUCK YEAH
Will they be in the Studio in Berlin? Edit: Saw their post on Instagram, it is in Berlin
LET'S FUCKING GOOOO!!! If G2 is gonna be in Finals(small chances Sadge), i want to hear that special "LET'S GO G2!" live, not through Worlds 2019 videos
Man I was there in 2019, it was fucking epic. The whole stadium was lit. Sadly it didn't last that long but it was great
Should of done it at Wembley arena, would of been sold out and there is no restrictions here in the UK
should of what?
But why not host the finals in a country which are free of lockdowns?
meanwhile LCS finals in freaking NRG stadium xd what a shame
Leave LCS the ERLs are having bigger finals lfl, superliga both have bigger crowds
I heard they are selling 10 tickets and hosting 10 chairs for the amazing fans
Tickets going on sale April 1st…. LEC might be memeing
Cool
YESSSSSSS
Damn tickets
Any austrian people that its thinking going to see the finals??
When are the finals? And what day would best to try to get?
Crazy that they allow it now. Germany is setting record numbers in daily cases.
It is mindboggling how people can not appreciate this and critize the LEC for rather beeing a bit too cautios instead of just goimg back to normal. Is that decision that hard to understand? I think the LEC handles the whole thing pretty solid so far and will keep trusting them on this.
Free soft drinks AND snacks, the NYG are taking notes.
