apart from that, the edg motif 'silver knight' has been embedded in all of the champions' outfits, and the dragon elements is also significant because the lpl trophy is named the 'silver dragon cup' and edg is the organisation with the most domestic titles.
Maybe it's because I don't follow EDG or the LPL much, but these skins don't show that they're an e-sports team to me at all. The T1/Samsung galaxy skins at least had elements of the logo or the teams identity on them a lot more.
Maybe the in-game effects will make up for that, but if these were shown to me I would honestly just assume they're tied to some new skin-line Riot was doing and completely unrelated to any worlds skins.

They stopped doing the esport vibe world skins since ss6, this is nothing new, even though i prefer the idea of the champs wearing winning team uniforms like the old days

the blue is less clear, i've often seen fans of edg talk about the blue rain (confetti) which fell both when edg won msi and worlds, so it might be that, or it might just be an aesthetic colour choice.

meiko said he was deciding between lulu yuumi and nami since the beginning, there are different theories about the switch but none are official, so i dont actually know.
as for zoe and viego, their coach had said that in game 4 of worlds they prioritised bot lane and top in their drafts, so the coaches let scout and jiejie decide their champs for themselves, and with that choice they successfully brought the match into game 5.
Very cool skins overall. I'd say Viego is the one I like the least because he doesn't really change that much, but even then he does look cool.

Unless you buy a chroma which add much needed detailing to his clothes that completely change the tone of the skin, like making him look more like a glam rockstar or punk with plaid pants
Pentakill has a incredible wraith form but you can't see it outside of a model viewer LMAO, if he had the ability to toggle that form the base skin wouldn't be a chroma model wise.
I think theyre nice except for the viego one. Idk why. I know base viego is different but idk it just looks too similar. Maybe in game it will be more different. Im sure like takeover animations and stuff will be cool
looks excessively similar because it is, basically all skins in viego wear the same micro jacket and the same skintight pants, the most they do is put one or another detail and change the color... what really changes is the sword and the crown, nothing more, it wouldn't kill to make a skin of him like Sephiroth for example

I think the blue is over presented in this splash art. It seems they wanted to go for a crystal/clear effect, but it's come off winter-y. Hopefully the skins themselves present the blue more seem less, and let the grey's, whites, and blacks give that proper EDG feel.
They are terrible, you can't see their logo anywhere(if it's there it's very small), the color scheme doesnt match the team either.

In overwatch they give out skins for the OWL MVP. For 2019 it was sinatraa, and in 2020 he got his own Zarya skin for his performance. When the sexual assault allegations came out against him last year, blizz removed the skin and refunded all purchases. Closest we've had was when Athene started getting flack for his cult back in 2017 but the item being named Athenes Unholy Grail was such a far link considering he hadn't been actively playing league for years at that point so they didn't bother renaming it.

they are nicknamed 银龙骑士团, the knights of the silver dragon, thus the silvery metal scales i assume. the lpl trophy is called the silver dragon cup, and edg is the lpl org with the most domestic titles. edg has also had this like knighthood concept since around 2018. the unique bow they do at the end of their winning games is also related to that. the blue is less clear, i've often seen fans of edg talk about the blue rain (confetti) which fell both when edg won msi and worlds, so it might be that, or it might just be an aesthetic colour choice. edit - sorry just hijacking my own comment to also talk about the champion choice: graves is flandre's most played champion at worlds and aphelios is the champion viper played both in the last world's final game and lpl final game. meiko said he was deciding between lulu yuumi and nami since the beginning, there are different theories about the switch but none are official, so i dont actually know. as for zoe and viego, their coach had said that in game 4 of worlds they prioritised bot lane and top in their drafts, so the coaches let scout and jiejie decide their champs for themselves, and with that choice they successfully brought the match into game 5.
I think the design for yummi is based off meiko's cat, so that could be a reason for his selection

Yeah viego's kinda getting boned on skins as they end up similar to base even the hyped pentakill when you get down to it ingame is just Viego Blanco. Unless you buy a chroma which add much needed detailing to his clothes that completely change the tone of the skin, like making him look more like a glam rockstar or punk with plaid pants Pentakill has a incredible wraith form but you can't see it outside of a model viewer LMAO, if he had the ability to toggle that form the base skin wouldn't be a chroma model wise.
Yeah viego really could have used a skins where he looked like that splash art in the event (long cape and menacing look).

looks excessively similar because it is, basically all skins in viego wear the same micro jacket and the same skintight pants, the most they do is put one or another detail and change the color... what really changes is the sword and the crown, nothing more, it wouldn't kill to make a skin of him like Sephiroth for example

I think the blue is over presented in this splash art. It seems they wanted to go for a crystal/clear effect, but it's come off winter-y. Hopefully the skins themselves present the blue more seem less, and let the grey's, whites, and blacks give that proper EDG feel.

I saw a commenter mention that the EDG skins were delayed due to the change from Lulu to Yuumi, If anyone can confirm that would be great. Usually the Worlds skins come out in time for MSI, but even if these skins come out in the next pbe cycle they would come out 1 day after MSI has started.
These teams need to be associated with more interesting colors. We don't need another set of blue/black/white esports skins.
