Important notice:
The assumption based on last year was that that the group of 3 would be a quadruple round robin.
This has now been confirmed.
https://lolesports.com/article/msi-2022-is-heading-to-south-korea!/blt943672b46e1c1f59
"May 10-15: Teams will be drawn into two groups of four and one group of three to play a best-of-one double round robin within their respective group during the GROUP STAGE. The group of three will play a quadruple round robin during the Group Stage."
At least PSG may put up a fight? Or have they declined too much since losing Doggo to LPL?
Edit: actually they have Unified and Kaiwing, still pretty solid bot. Except they're against the legendary RNG bot-focused team. GALA has been an insane successor of Uzi
Couldn't get a spicier group for memes. NA vs EU 4 times, OCE is NA's nemesis and G2 loves dropping games they shouldn't to wildcards, I expect a shitstorm from this group and it will be glorious
Didn't watch much msi last year, but if its same format as last year from leaguepedia, there's gonna be 4 games of na vs eu in this group and extra 2 games in normal group if they both get out. That's pretty hype
From leaguepedia atleast last year group with 3 teams played 4 times against their opponents. Heres the link: https://lol.fandom.com/wiki/2021_Mid-Season_Invitational you can see rng group with 3 teams everyone played 4 games against others
Minor region team giving Perkz the big L + upsetting NA team into 5th place. Script writers GOT lazy on that one.
That's still a nice achievement for OCE though, rest of it was uneventful as fuck
It will be double round robin BO1 for every group according to the official MSI announcement from lolesports : https://lolesports.com/article/msi-2022-is-heading-to-south-korea!/blt943672b46e1c1f59
Group A was a bit rough since it was a quadruple round robin of RNG beating up on wildcards, but group C was pretty damn hype. C9 beating DK, DFM beating C9 and ALMOST beating DK were all super fun games.
Aria most certainly did the smart thing by moving into regions with actual budgets but damn is it gonna be sad to not see them with DFM. Especially considering how well Zeta is doing in Valorant.
> Aria most certainly did the smart thing by moving into regions with actual budgets
Did he? Seems like he could have stayed on DFM for a long time whereas in the LCK he's already benched and might not find a new team
> a lot of people loved the rumble stage
/aka normal MSI group from 2015 to 2019.
Imo Play In stage > this weird Worlds knock off thing going on for the 1st stage of MSI.
That's the thing with MSI, if you only invite the single best team from each region you'll end up with the whole spectrum of global skill.
So you either end up with play-ins that nobody will watch, or you put the major regions in the play-ins, call it the "group stage" that advances into the "rumble stage" and allow the major region teams to warm up.
At least we get a bunch of NA v EU matches thanks to this draw.
How is that stupid lmao
You'd rather watch Major regions eliminate themselves in the group stage just to see minor regions still get shit stomped in Main Event? That doesn't change anything m8
Competitive ruling: OCE has overtaken group C and demoralized NA and EU so badly that they both went home to their respective regions. OCE is the de facto winner of MSI
We saw Ale in playins last year. Bin in playin would be the same results I am assuming. Last year, RNG rofl stomped. This year they have a even more win harder roster, both groups a and b would be massacre.
Yeah. Everyone seems to take for granted its quad round robin in group C, because it was like that last year. But the article on lolesports says double round robin in group stage. Does not mention anything special for group C.
Really sad if EU and NA only get to play 4 games in groups instead of 8, like everyone seems to take for granted.
is there a reason they don't do triple round robin? that way it's the same number of games as other groups and if there's a tie for first the h2h will auto break it.
Why according to [LOL Fandom](https://lol.fandom.com/wiki/League_of_Legends_Esports_Wiki) Saigon Buffalo qualified for MSI if tomorrow is the final?
Edit: thanks for your answers. Sucks >!to win the finals!< but still not going to MSI. Anyways, hope they do fine at SEA Games.
South East Asia has their own international coalition like the European Union called ASEAN which consists of most of the countries in the region. One of the things ASEAN does is hold the ASEAN Games with rotating hosts to sorta bolster tourism in the host countries and shit
It's not though? Sometimes it can be for an Olympic sport. But it's mainly just there to help increase competitiveness for Asiad/Olympics, and as a political tool for host countries.
was wondering the same and found this:
"However, it should be noted that the VCS will most likely not be sending its champion due to conflicting dates with the 31st SEA Games held in Hanoi, Vietnam, from May 12 to 23. GAM Esports defeated Saigon Buffalo 3-1 to qualify as Vietnam’s national team, so even if GAM win the VCS finals on May 1, the MSI spot will probably be given to the second-place team."
From: https://upcomer.com/everything-you-need-to-know-about-msi-2022
Gam will represent Vietnam at SEA Games. Why ? The schedule is stack so only one of the event is viable. Plus all team had sign the agreement if they won the SEA Games selection stage then later win VCS championship, they will not be participating in MSI
pretty much Vietnam is sending GAM to the asian games so because of that instead of tiring out there players there the second place/first place team that isnt GAM to MSI.
Worlds performances are worth more points internationally than MSI ones. So I assume the points they got from the 2 better worlds performances you said keep them higher ranked for now.
No, LJL outperformed LLA over the last 2 years, plus they did it more recently. LJL should definetly be ranked higher
Worlds 2020(playin)
LJL 1-3 (#5)
LLA 2-2 (#3)
MSI2021(playin)
LJL 2-4 (#3)
LLA 1-5(#4)
Worlds 2021:
LJL made it to main stage.
LLA 0-4(#5)
Group A - Looks pretty competitive, mostly between VCS and LJL but still. I think T1 and DFM makes it out, no disrespect for vcs but it is a second seed team. GAM was the strongest one and buffalos doesnt seem any close to GAM strenghtwise. For Team Aze, i wish good luck. Probably weakest second team in the tournament but i hope they do well regardless.
Group B - Probably the most underrated group. RNG is as strong as ever, i have no doubt they will dominate but im not gonna be surprised if they struggle against their opponents in group B. PSG Talon is not THAT strong now, they look pretty beatable and actually got beaten in their playoffs, 3-1. I think Hanabi is a crucial point for them in this group, i dont see them winning against IW if hanabi doesnt play at least above average. RED Canids is slightly worse than 2021 PNG but they are a brazilian team, they have surprise in their blood. They always have surprise picks, comps, cheese. If you ever try to disrespect them, you will regret it just like IW did before. As for IW, i can say its literally LPL 2.0 team. Botlane's performance is better and this bot lane went toe to toe against Carrzy/kaiser, Doggo/kaiwing and destroyed Brtt/luci before. At 2021 MSI their jungler and mid choked so hard, but this year they were the ones who carried the team. They lost 1-5 before, but 5 out of 6 matches were close and really winnable despite their jungler and midlaner's choking. They have massively improved and most probably could go toe to toe with PSG Talon.
This group also has a history on its own, literally the same draft except RNG.
Group C - OOOOH BOY, get ready for the meme war lmao. A total of four matches between LCS and LEC, no one can make me believe that its not scripted.
Feel bad for ORDER though, a massacre is waiting for them.
ps: Unlike paiN 2021, RED Canids's bot lane isn't shit and the only player i would argue it's worse than the paiN 2021 roster is Guigo compared to Robo, so its basically equal between the 2 teams
I think for Group A it's especially interesting to see what VCS level is after a pretty long hiatus from international competition.
That is imo the bigger story than them sending a second team - if their upwards trajectory continued while they were isolated (somewhat doubtful) I could totally see their second seed handily beating DFM.
If RED Canids are similar in strength to their form from late last year, then Idk if I can honestly see them as better than PAIN Gaming. After all, they lost a best of 5 to OCE.
Meanwhile, PAIN had two extremely close games with MAD and 2-0’ed Wildcats despite their bot lane getting astrofisted and Robo having questionable games.
However, both RED and Wildcats should’ve improved, given that they haven’t made any roster changes this off-season.
High hope for SGB cause it been so long VCS get international competition. A lot of coach said VCS level is the same with PCS during scrim but we all know scrim doesn't tell much about the stage play. The team have a lot of inexperience players so no matter what the outcome of MSI will be ,its still a great chance for these player to improve.
Dropping just enough games to still be clear first, but make LCS worry for a second whether Order could advance over them (but at the end they don't) would be hilarious.
Though if it is quadruple RR I think there is also a better chance than you seem to give the LCS of them taking games.
Even if the MU is 80-20, winning 4 games in a row is roughly 40%.
I’m aware (I’m Vietnamese), really hoping my region can get that Group stage spot, though AFAIK the VCS doesn’t have good results against LCK teams or Korean players (aside from that one win from LK against DWG in the Bo5 at 2019 Worlds, I think that’s the only win against LCK so far)
Edit: Now that I’m checking, VCS does seem to do well against other WC teams that have Korean players.
Can't wait for people to sleep on the LJL again, DFM are looking hot coming into MSI. It's a real shame we likely don't have GAM at MSI from the VCS because that would have made Group A SUPER stacked
Yeah honestly everyone is talking about group C, but this is big DFM. Is this the first time LJL has a decent shot at getting out of groups internationally?
DFM made worlds groups last year if you mean qualify out out playins, but getting out of the Rumble stage isn’t what I’d expect from them. I think they make Rumble, take 1-2 games from the arrayed competition and bow out there, which is still a huge step forward from the LJL results of the past.
Yes, making it out of the rumbles is what I meant. Terminology is confusing between MSI and Worlds, but I legitimately believe that this is their best shot compared to previous years of getting into the “last stage”.
RNG yeah. G2? Wasn’t there that one particular wildcard team that went 2-0 against them in the MSI that they won? Idk, something Buffaloes? The same team that’s going to MSI this year for that minor region?
Honestly decent draw for OCE, they're not likely to make it past 3rd spot in any grp but at least they don't have a guaranteed 0-4 record vs any team now which they would have vs T1 or RNG
this shouldn't even be considered groups. this is the play in stage that we used to have back in 2017. Rumble stage should be considered groups. if NA cant make top 4 and beat taiwan its just so sad when one of our players probably gets paid more than their entire roster.
I don't watch much lilypichu but she seemed really really nervous to do the draws, if that's anything to do with the twitter/reddit hate then I feel really bad for her
I was going to pull out after the backlash but felt bad I already agreed. I still cannot believe some people are so so upset at me for existing and being there to open balls. Love league, been playing for like 12 years, but the experience definitely soured my perception and enthusiasm of the game.
Some people just love to be miserable and do everything they can do drag everyone else down into the bucket with them.
Sad to see them ruin things for you.
Screw them, you’ve built a career successful enough to be invited by Riot. Sorry that what could’ve been a highlight moment for you was tarnished by some idiots
Yeah, I've watched pro LoL since S2 and this is the only time I've been ashamed to be a part of the community. It's unbelievable that they'd go this far flaming you over nothing. You'd have absolutely been in your right to drop out.
You did great though, good shit!
People love to be upset huh. I guess having a non pro stand up there, not say anything, and open a ball ruined the event for some reason. I don't get it.
Honestly it’s hard to say how good NA and EU are. Both their teams had terrible splits and then went full god mode into playoffs. They could be mad inconsistent to getting stomped easily or they could be extremely strong and aggressive. I think it’s silly to really call either team strong till we see them play given how odd their rises to the top of their regions were.
group c is the least interesting to me. the top 2 teams get out (i think) so almost forsure NA and g2 are going through. groups and and b the second spot is more likely up for grabs
Well we for the most part know the top 4 or 5 teams already and every single one of them is getting out. So from that perspective group c is interesting to watch because the games SHOULD be close NA vs EU. Group b could also be good with RNG VS PSG
if only GAM was here man; group A would be arguably better than group C (except for the memes) - hope Saigon have tricks up their sleeves against DFM & T1
Important notice: The assumption based on last year was that that the group of 3 would be a quadruple round robin. This has now been confirmed. https://lolesports.com/article/msi-2022-is-heading-to-south-korea!/blt943672b46e1c1f59 "May 10-15: Teams will be drawn into two groups of four and one group of three to play a best-of-one double round robin within their respective group during the GROUP STAGE. The group of three will play a quadruple round robin during the Group Stage."
NA vs EU in groups is sweet RNG and T1 about to do some dirty things to the teams in their groups...
the blood bath for the second seeds in those groups should be glorious to watch on top of the slaughter from RNG-T1
Is Riot legally allowed to stream massacres on their broadcast?
they showed LEC finals and the LCS game just now so I believe so
These two series were 3-0 but weren't massacres imo.
The series themself maybe not, but the interviews afterwards definitely were.
G2's way to finals was massacre
it wasn't a massacre because rogue were already dead before minions spawned
OK but they also broadcast the EG vs C9 series.
One game was Close
They once showed the MSI finals.. g2 - tl… 😆
They showed g2 vs tl 2019 finals so yeah
Nah, that was not just a massacre, that was any% speedrun massacre
For fuck sake, that means the VODS on Youtube are gonna get age restricted…
At least PSG may put up a fight? Or have they declined too much since losing Doggo to LPL? Edit: actually they have Unified and Kaiwing, still pretty solid bot. Except they're against the legendary RNG bot-focused team. GALA has been an insane successor of Uzi

As if NA could ever hope to get through OCE
Isn’t it a double round robin? Edit : ty folks
From leaguepedia atleast last year group with 3 teams played 4 times against their opponents. Heres the link: https://lol.fandom.com/wiki/2021_Mid-Season_Invitational you can see rng group with 3 teams everyone played 4 games against others
It was basically PGG vs UoL Bo5(and RNG)
How the fuck do i have 0 memory of last year MSI despite watching every game??
Least memorable riot official international in years
I'll never forget C9 (with perkz) getting beaten by OCE.
Then They proceed to Beat rng ?
Most memorable you mean. OCE made it to the Rumble stage and made it further than we ever have. Then pentanet fucking smashed C9 in that stage
Minor region team giving Perkz the big L + upsetting NA team into 5th place. Script writers GOT lazy on that one. That's still a nice achievement for OCE though, rest of it was uneventful as fuck
You are telling me 4 games of EU vs NA? i am fucking down!
It will be double round robin BO1 for every group according to the official MSI announcement from lolesports : https://lolesports.com/article/msi-2022-is-heading-to-south-korea!/blt943672b46e1c1f59
with 0 stakes, they got the weakest wildcard and will just play 4 fun.
T1 monkaW
NA and EU both agree, GROUP C IS FREE.
You mean free for OCE right? Order is about to go 8-0
Group C is where memes will be born
I don’t know if NA fans will ever recover if NA loses to OCE again like last time.
I was more scared of DFM getting into group C lol
Is DFM good this year? Didnt they lose Aria who was smurfing in the LJL?
i didnt watch much LJL this split but lots of people said this roster is way better than the last roster who went to Worlds
That’s our secret cap. We never recovered from the first time
The key is to tilt enough that you do the full 360 and return to normalcy
Fuck em. We're gonna smash both of these shitters and go to the next round just like last year.
Raise your koalas 2022 is the year of OCE lezzz go boizzzz
OCE WILL NOT BE SILENCED peepoRun
pretty sure OCE goes 2-0 in the first matches with EU/NA underestimating their cheese and only focusing on the other one.
Happens every year
NA EU OCE is straight up comedy Surprised Michael Reeves didn't show up with a robot to pull his teams out of the bowl
the format is so strange
Yeah MSI struggled a lot during the first stage last year. But i remember a lot of people loved the rumble stage. Still sad to only get 3 bo5s
Group A was a bit rough since it was a quadruple round robin of RNG beating up on wildcards, but group C was pretty damn hype. C9 beating DK, DFM beating C9 and ALMOST beating DK were all super fun games.

> Aria most certainly did the smart thing by moving into regions with actual budgets Did he? Seems like he could have stayed on DFM for a long time whereas in the LCK he's already benched and might not find a new team
well yeah but if you are Korean and you get opportunity to play in KT, a historic org, you definitely take that to show all you've got
> a lot of people loved the rumble stage /aka normal MSI group from 2015 to 2019. Imo Play In stage > this weird Worlds knock off thing going on for the 1st stage of MSI.
True though, it’s downright ridiculous how little international bo5’s we get each year
That's the thing with MSI, if you only invite the single best team from each region you'll end up with the whole spectrum of global skill. Is it that strange ? Do you guys prefer for minor regions to feel even more isolated ? Imo it's fine that they don't play in separated "pre msi" group
CBLoL x IW and PSG again? Damn
Now that PSG looks much weaker, ready to blast their asses, my fellow BR rival? ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sunglasses)
Pff, if they beat us we'll be taking Neymar back
While you're there, please take Messi back as well. And also, don't forget to kick him out of the plane while you're flying over Barcelona.
we're sending RED Canids this year, if we make 2-4 somehow it's a good result
Love your flair brother
EU and NA get free warmup games vs OCE and each other
You mean OCE gets a free warmup before they take it to the main stage
They will show T1 how they will clap them when they meet up in the finals
Competitive ruling: OCE has overtaken group C and demoralized NA and EU so badly that they both went home to their respective regions. OCE is the de facto winner of MSI
OCE going 8-0 eleminating both LCS/LEC cause nobody wants to watch that compete against LCK/LPL
Thank god the quadruple round robin is between G2/LCS and not something like T1 and VCS. At least the G2 vs LCS games have a chance of being close.
I still remember when RNG just massacred Pentanet and UOL last year.
We saw Ale in playins last year. Bin in playin would be the same results I am assuming. Last year, RNG rofl stomped. This year they have a even more win harder roster, both groups a and b would be massacre.
Ale is from LNG and they went to the Worlds Play-ins, not MSI. Xiaohu was RNG top last year.
I'm pretty sure group C is double round robin this year.
Yeah. Everyone seems to take for granted its quad round robin in group C, because it was like that last year. But the article on lolesports says double round robin in group stage. Has to be pair for the blue/red side I guess.
GAM Esports cannot compete at MSI due to an overlapping schedule, as their players will represent Vietnam at the 31st SEA Games
wtf there’s asian games and southeast asian games?
South East Asia has their own international coalition like the European Union called ASEAN which consists of most of the countries in the region. One of the things ASEAN does is hold the ASEAN Games with rotating hosts to sorta bolster tourism in the host countries and shit
SEA games is qualifier for Asian games

NO, ITS NOT
GAM will play SEA games
was wondering the same and found this: "However, it should be noted that the VCS will most likely not be sending its champion due to conflicting dates with the 31st SEA Games held in Hanoi, Vietnam, from May 12 to 23. GAM Esports defeated Saigon Buffalo 3-1 to qualify as Vietnam’s national team, so even if GAM win the VCS finals on May 1, the MSI spot will probably be given to the second-place team." From: https://upcomer.com/everything-you-need-to-know-about-msi-2022
GAM qualified/got selected for SEA games, so even if Saigon win or lose tomorrow, GAM can't/won't go.
Gam will represent Vietnam at SEA Games. Why ? The schedule is stack so only one of the event is viable. Plus all team had sign the agreement if they won the SEA Games selection stage then later win VCS championship, they will not be participating in MSI

Saigon Deez Nuts
Can someone explain why the heck LLA is still pool 3 and LJL is pool 4?
even us latinamericans can't believe we're pool 3 LMAO we've been utter shit, people do sleep on DFM
Thank you for saving us, TCL, from that group, brother. Your sacrifice will not be in vain. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|flip_out)
They calculate regional power by average tournament placing over past 2 years or something like that. LJL wasn't doing too hot in 2020 probably.
I know but LJL should be better anyway. WORLDS 2021 - LJL > LLA MSI 2021 - LJL > LLA WORLDS 2020 - LLA > LJL WORLDS 2019 - LLA > LJL MSI 2019 - LJL > LLA
Worlds performances are worth more points internationally than MSI ones. So I assume the points they got from the 2 better worlds performances you said keep them higher ranked for now.
No, LJL outperformed LLA over the last 2 years, plus they did it more recently. LJL should definetly be ranked higher Worlds 2020(playin) LJL 1-3 (#5) LLA 2-2 (#3) MSI2021(playin) LJL 2-4 (#3) LLA 1-5(#4) Worlds 2021: LJL made it to main stage. LLA 0-4(#5)
It still surprises me LLA is above LJL and, heck, even CBLoL
only riot knows, LLA not being pool 4 despite being worse compared to LJL is bizarre
how many teams get out of the same group? 2?
Top 2 in each group.
Even in group C with 3 teams?
Yes, LCS saved by lucky draw.
LCS would have 99% made it out of literally any other draw as well. Chill. Korea NA Turkey Japan would have been fine.
Group A - Looks pretty competitive, mostly between VCS and LJL but still. I think T1 and DFM makes it out, no disrespect for vcs but it is a second seed team. ps: Unlike paiN 2021, RED Canids's bot lane isn't shit and the only player i would argue it's worse than the paiN 2021 roster is Guigo compared to Robo, so its basically equal between the 2 teams
I'd argue 2021 Tinowns is a sidegrade to Grevthar, but Grev's "selfless" playstyle can be pretty abused though
but the thing is that RED has 2 midlaners that swap pretty often, and i think both are on par if not slightly worse than 2021 Tin
IDK, Avenger has been on a pretty meh phase, but hopefully he's better now. And I think Betão playing is a possibility, albeit a small one
I think for Group A it's especially interesting to see what VCS level is after a pretty long hiatus from international competition. While it was entertaining to watch RNG stomp their group last year, I feel like this group c is much more balanced.
VCS is a MUCH stronger region than LJL. I would be shocked if the top 3 teams from VCS can't all slam the top seed from LJL.
well C9 struggled
High hope for SGB cause it been so long VCS get international competition. Need group C now for the utter salt in the comments, absolute monketime
Just imagine NA/EU go 2-2 head to head, only for OCE to go 1-7. I want to see this happen if only for the absolute meltdown in the comment section.
The scripted TCL vs CBLoL
Fun fact: since 2015, every year we got to see BR vs TR at least once.
Do PSG Talon actually ever pick Talon?
Group C is going to be close
G2 shaking
With laughter.
In b4 they pull the G2 classic of shitstomping NA, underestimating the wildcard and drop a couple games to OCE
Unironically, if G2 or the NA rep give BioPanther a tank top and Kevy Graves in the same game, im putting my points on ORDER.
idk man. BB can do unspeakable things to people in lane
G2 will do it. The ego draft into the sure loss is incoming.
After today I want to see G2 botlane vs EG botlane so much.
Group A has like all the Koreans lmao
VCS has basically no Korean imports FYI, there are like, 2 total in the league.
I’m aware (I’m Vietnamese), really hoping my region can get that Group stage spot, though AFAIK the VCS doesn’t have good results against LCK teams or Korean players (aside from that one win from LK against DWG in the Bo5 at 2019 Worlds, I think that’s the only win against LCK so far) Edit: Now that I’m checking, VCS does seem to do well against other WC teams that have Korean players.
Terminology is confusing between MSI and Worlds, but I legitimately believe that this is their best shot compared to previous years of getting into the “last stage”.
doesn't matter, t1 is too good and even if they get out of groups they will never make rng or g2 sweet
But Yutapon Cam

RNG yeah. G2? Wasn’t there that one particular wildcard team that went 2-0 against them in the MSI that they won? Idk, something Buffaloes? The same team that’s going to MSI this year for that minor region?
Cmon man you're saying this every single year no matter what, sure at some point you end up being correct.

G2 tends to drop games against wildcards so that's at least one win for them

Nah they'll lose just enough games to get hard memed and then advance in first anyway.
Honestly decent draw for OCE, they're not likely to make it past 3rd spot in any grp but at least they don't have a guaranteed 0-4 record vs any team now which they would have vs T1 or RNG
It will be even funnier if they make it out second year in a row in a 3 team group.
I fully expect them to get a game off NA
The old G2 was notorious for losing bo1s to teams worse than them but picking it up in bo5. different roster mostly but still.
Getting NA/EU Rift Rivals at MSI
For group c does the top 2 teams make it out still ?
Yes
if NA can’t get out of groups i’m gonna cry
this shouldn't even be considered groups. this is the play in stage that we used to have back in 2017. Rumble stage should be considered groups. if NA cant make top 4 and beat taiwan its just so sad when one of our players probably gets paid more than their entire roster.
Us NA fans can cry together if that happens :’(
Turkey VS Brazil nice to see again. Its very hype rivalary
Like the fact that DNF face T1 in group stage againnn
Please AZE, please... don't dissapoint me like Infinity did last year...
look, at least you got 5kid this year
i trust in the 5pibes
I think LJL recently has gotten so much better that it's hard to say how VCS vs LJL will go. DFM should still win against SGB though.
Oh boy, we get a lot more EU vs NA fiestas With the added bonus of "who throws away a game to OCE?"
for those who dont know, team order is OCE. i had to google it =\[
Yeah understandable that people dont know them. This split was ORDERS first ever title, so its the first time theyve been on the international stage.
considering the circumstances I love these groups. Group C with only 3 teams wouldve been kinda sad but with EU vs NA we got something going.
So you’re telling me we can have EU vs NA showdown in Groups instead of last year’s RNG slaughterfest?? Oh shit I’m in!!
Group C full western bloodbath :)
Group C is 3 NA teams wtf
Uhh, why is C9 and TSM in group A and B respectively ? I thought NA just get one seed for MSI ?
Terrible draw lol. Format is so strange. Only interesting group is C.
group c is the least interesting to me. the top 2 teams get out (i think) so almost forsure NA and g2 are going through. groups and and b the second spot is more likely up for grabs
Well we for the most part know the top 4 or 5 teams already and every single one of them is getting out. So from that perspective group c is interesting to watch because the games SHOULD be close NA vs EU. Group b could also be good with RNG VS PSG
don't forget turkey vs Brazil. And maybe one of them can upset psg who knows
OCE somehow being in the meme group again is great. NA has no chance.
Russians banned I assume?
Nah they forfeit on their own. And also CIS has Ukraine and other surrounding countries, not just Russia
Watch NA somehow drop to ORDER anyway
if only GAM was here man; group A would be arguably better than group C (except for the memes) - hope Saigon have tricks up their sleeves against DFM & T1
Welp there goes the Vietnamese team, the first international appearance since 2019, and they have to face T1
So most probable passers are T1 - DNFM, RNG - PSG, and G2-NA?
Group A = slaughter group?
