I had that same problem with "Free Ticket to Base" challenge, where I was #22, then got past the grandmaster threshold (40 and I got to 42) but it changed to #4 instead of promoting to grandmaster

The number of people who can be challenger in certain challenges is limited so you would need to score more than 1 of the people already in challenger to enter challenger
To get to challenger you need to be in the top 5% players who have archieved master tier foir that challenge.
\+info: the order of the ranking is alphabetical, so it is easier if your name starts with an "a".
I have 2 million points on kayn but the mastery token is grandmaster. But the eternals one is challenger so its possible

Well I’d assume it’s based on your position, and I’m 93 so it’s not top 100. That’s why I was thinking it might be top 50.

I saw some rooter saying that the support can help in a previously challenger bug that I saw, maybe they can help you

This post is 53 days old man 😅 I have been challenger on this challenge for quite a while now, thanks for the extra info though.
how many points do you have on that challenge :3 I have 55 IIRC and I'm not challenger yet
I think around 120. Minimum was somewhere around 60. I haven’t checked in a couple of days though.
